 Mathew 4:19 Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men

        Jesus gave “the Great Commission” to all Christians. We are called to reconcile men back to God. The scriptures says in 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 TLB "All these new things are from God who brought us back to himself through what Christ Jesus did. And God has given us the privilege of urging everyone to come into his favor and be reconciled to him".

        We were saved on purpose to fulfill a divine purpose . Jesus said in  Mark 16:15 TLB " And then he told them, "You are to go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone, everywhere.  Acts 1.8 NLT says  "But when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you will receive power to testify about me with great effect, to the people in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth, about my death and resurrection." The death and resurrection of Christ makes little or no meaning to a sinner until explained by a Christian and confirmed through signs and wonders by the Holy Spirit. Matthew. 28:19,20, Luke. 24:47 John. 15:16

      Jesus sends all Christians as His labourers & witnesses to the entire world. No one is exempted. This is the primary reason for all of God's provisions in our lives and we shall be judged on how much of these provisions were used for the gospel . Isaiah. 6:8 Matthew 9:37, 38, Luke 9:2, John. 20:21, Romans 10:14,15,  2Corinthians. 5:20.

      God commands  us without any options to tell others about our belief; Psalm. 107:, John 3:11,  Acts 4:20, 2 Corinthians. 4:13.   To save souls from death; Proverbs. 14:25 Acts 26:18, James 5:20  There are consequences for not  sharing the gospel , part of which is the increase in crime rate , conflicts , poverty, sicknesses and diseases of which some of us have become victims; Ezekiel. 3:17-19, Mark. 8:38, Luke 12:8 ,9. 1Corinthians. 4:3.

      We should not be shy to share  the gospel but always ask God for boldness to declare the message of God's kingdom in the face of much opposition . Psalm. 119:46, Isaiah 40:9, Isaiah 62:6b, Matthew. 5:14-16, Mark 8:38 Acts 18:9b, Romans 1:16, Ephesians. 6:18-20, 1Thessalonians. 2:2,

 2 Cor 12:9  " And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me". KJV

          God's perspective on greatness is diametrically opposed and mutually exclusive to man's idea of prosperity.What man considers as a demotion is God's way of promoting His servants . Moses was taken from his position as a prince in Egypt to being a shepherd boy. Likewise, despite his status among the prophets John the baptist ended in prison Luke 3:20, "....he shut up John in prison." Much of apostle Paul's writings { over 60% of the new testament} were written from behind prison walls. His ordeals are summarized in  2 Corinthians 11:27" In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness".KJV. Paul's ministry witnessed more pain than pleasure He worked great miracles through Christ and yet struggled with ill-health Galatians 4:13-14. Yet sickness is considered as a curse by many. It should not be so. 

       It is the misunderstanding of what greatness is that is responsible for the confusion in the world today, there is such an overwhelming craving for relevance and recognition . The desire for recognition is such an addiction today to the point that we are ready to go any length to be recognized .This is the idea behind the nude culture  . .This is as a result of the gradual collapse of the family structure. Children spend lesser time with their parents leading to a yearning for attention missed during childhood in their adulthood. This has led to a lull in the commitment to hard work. Emotional instability results in poor work output. Most employees want to get paid for doing nothing ,this is considered as working in divine favour by many and a major reason for business failure. God's favour demands very hard work .   

           Prophet John spent over two decades of his life preparing for a divine assignment that only lasted six month with him being imprisoned and eventually beheaded ; to many  this may be termed a curse or failure yet the Lord Jesus said John was the greatest man who ever walked the earth (Mt. 11:11).

John's greatness was not measured by personal achievements but a  successful fulfillment of his purpose which was to serve as the launching pad for Jesus' ministry.

        The world would have us believe that except one is at the forefront or popular we have failed ,that's why there are so many unhappy persons . That's not God's perspective on life .There are many persons considered as worthless by many but are of high repute before the lord with golden crowns awaiting them in heaven .God judges according to faithfulness to divine purpose (Matthews 25:21,1 Corinthians 4:2)) and not size (I Corinthians. 3:13). Wherever you may be , you are as relevant as the man at the top ,do not be intimidated by other person's success story .

"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, And prudent in their own sight! Woe to men mighty at drinking wine,

Woe to men valiant for mixing intoxicating drink, Who justify the wicked for a bribe,

And take away justice from the righteous man!" Isaiah 5:21-25 Nkjv

    In a federation, the three tiers of government, Federal, State, and Local, work independently but concurrently for citizens to enjoy the dividends of democracy . Democracy is government of the people by the people and for the people.  The development of any nation can only be effective when these tiers of government are working in harmony with each other and this can only be possible through an effective righteous judiciary . The justification of illegality is a sin against God ( Isaiah 5:21-25)  A pastor who receives  bribes to promote illegality will find it difficult to preach the true gospel of repentances from sins. Such pastors  are a tool in the hands of Satan for the enslavement of God's people. Resist the devil and he shall flee. 

    The judiciary is part of the three arms of government namely the Executive,  (Presidency )  Legislative  (Senate and House of Representatives) and Judicial (Supreme Court and lower Courts).. Its primary function is to create the legal framework needed to execute projects to avoid unnecessary impediments while protecting the rights and privileges of citizens . It is for this reason that the  nation's judiciary should consist of men and  women of impeccable character . They should be accountable to God and the citizens .

   Underdeveloped nations suffer from the effects of weak judiciary often under the influence of dishonest politicians and interest groups . 

   It is against this background that believers should never overlook the importance of the composition of the  nation's judiciary at all levels . Good governance glorifies God through the equitable distribution of resources, peace and a just welfare system that caters for God's people .  

    In out daily prayers we should pray that judgement return to righteousness , the bible says in Psalms 94:15 "But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it." The Holy Spirit will stire up a desire in the hearts of our judges to execute righteous judgment. 

   The bible says Psalms 103:6 "]The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed." The oppressed shall be delivered from the shackles of the strongholds of their oppressors. We should pray for the fulfilment of the Scriptures in Psalms 140:12 "I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and the right of the poor." The judiciary is the last hope of the common man .

Luke 12:58" As you are going with your adversary to the magistrate, try hard to be reconciled to him on the way, or he may drag you off to the judge, and the judge turn you over to the officer, and the officer throw you into prison". NIV

    Money spent on the acquisition of weapons of warfare far exceeds that needed to feed the world, the threat of war is a major reason for the economic downturn of many underdeveloped nations , families with conflicts  tend to spend more on seeking for alternative sources of recreation than they earn: they are easy prey for false prophets who take advantage of the lack of unity to extort money through fables.. Internal conflicts cripples a nation's finances .Strife opens the door to poverty , demonic oppression and manipulations. Your prosperity has a direct bearing on  the status of your relationships. Healthy relationships is a necessary condition for prosperity.    

     Jesus had just spoken about relationships before He gave this parable of delivering ourselves from the judge. The message is that we should do everything within our power to avoid strife (Rom. 12:18). However, the consequences of failing to settle the differences are more than we can handle.

       Strife results in poverty , spiritual and emotional stagnation. James 3:16 says, "where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work." Depressions, fears, loneliness, bitterness, sicknesses, financial problems, and many other evils thrive in strife ..

      The christian is called to the ministry of reconciliation (2Cor.5:18), but unfortunately some of us fuel crisis through inflammatory remarks .Such actions hinder prayers from being answered (Heb.12:14). There is never a winner in a battle between members of the same family or community.  Reconciliation involves seeking for ways to reestablish friendship between aggrieved persons through dispute resolution. The key to reconciliation is effectively dealing with the enmity, ill will, hatred, or hostility that has caused the dispute. There are several approaches to reconciliation that may be applied. For instance, If we have offended someone by an unkind word that we have spoken, we can apologize. If we have done something  wrong to someone we can make the necessary correction . Reconciliation lies in dealing effectively with the foundation of the enmity and it takes the spirit of God in a person to know what to do to resolve a conflict.

        The enmity between man and God was sin. God took the initiative to remove this barrier through Jesus Christ, thus restoring our friendship . Thank God for His love towards us.

Mark 11:13 :20AMP And seeing in the distance a fig tree [covered] with leaves, He went to see if He could find any [fruit] on it [for in the fig tree the fruit appears at the same time as the leaves]. But when He came up to it, He found nothing but leaves, for the fig season had not yet come...."In the morning, when they were passing along, they noticed that the fig tree was withered [completely] away to its roots."

    This incidence was a demonstration of the interplay between the humanity and divinity of Jesus  Christ, the first fruit amongst those called sons of God . He was fully God and human as it was in the beginning like the first Adam. The scriptures says in 1 Timothy 3:16 AMP...we confess, is the hidden truth (the mystic secret) of godliness. He [God] was made visible in human flesh, justified and vindicated in the [Holy] Spirit, was seen by angels, preached among the nations.."

    It was not fig harvest season yet the tree appeared to be ready for harvest,  it was deceptive that is why it was cursed. Jesus also wanted His followers to know that God's grace is not  limited by times and seasons ;under the new testament we can harvest figs when it is not fig season.With this understanding modern agricultural practices has made it possible to harvest all year round through green-house technology and hydroponics. Under the new testament , every time is a set time for God's favour, it keeps us alive. .

  An example of unlimited favour is found in Luke 5:4-6 where Peter was told to let  down his net into the deep in the full view of fishes, this was contrary to night- time fishing practiced by professional fishermen. Peter caught more fish than he could handle because grace was working in his favour through his obedience and willingness to allow his vessel be used as a platform to preach the gospel. Those who allow their resources be used for the spread of the gospel will not suffer lack. Lack of accountability to a preacher of the gospel ,stinginess or self-preservation hinders favour .Always seek for ways from your pastor on how to help advance the gospel. It could by putting the message on radio, TV,  internet broadcasting , printing literature for free distribution etc. (Read Galatians 6:6, 1 Corintians 9;11,14, 2Corintians8;1-5 , 2 Corinthians 9:7-10) 

     The carnally minded man is bound by times and seasons and according to (Ecclesiastes  3:1) it is synonymous with things under heaven. Under the dispensation grace,  we operate from heaven not under heaven, the scriptures says in John 3:31 AMP "He Who comes from above (heaven) is [far] above all [others]; he who comes from the earth belongs to the earth, and talks the language of earth [his words are from an earthly standpoint]. He Who comes from heaven is [far] above all others [far superior to all others in prominence and in excellence]." The selfish man speaks earthly, inferior language and is always under the fear of lack and emotional insecurity (Rev.3:17). They are pessimistic and full of complaints due to a lack of the knowledge of God's word in their heart . 

     The born again child of God is not earthly but transcendent in operational capacity in comparison to the non believer. That's why we do not observe or wait for Jewish religious seasons before we can receive our blessings (Gal4:1-31). We are fully loaded with every imaginable blessing. None is missing,Scriptures says Eph 1:3TLB"How we praise God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every blessing in heaven because we belong to Christ."

BE BOLD TO SAY "I AM RIGHTEOUS

The born again believer in Jesus Messiah God should be bold to say  I am as righteous as Abraham ." I have the gift of salvation just as the Bible says that Abraham believed God and it was accounted unto him as righteousness. "

Genesis 15:6 'And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness."

 Note : it did not say righteous but righteousness. 

Righteousness is the quality of being virtuous, honorable, or morally right. It can also refer to such behavior.

Righteousness is the noun form of the adjective righteous. Being righteous means doing what is right—obeying the law or adhering to morals. Both righteous and righteousness are often used in a religious context.(Dictionary. com) 

Abraham did not belong to any religion or practiced the laws of the Quran or of Moses because they where  not in existence then. 

 QUESTION: What happened to his sins ( past , present , future ) . ?

 He experienced a vicarious atonement , David said in psalm 32: 1" Blessed  is he whose  transgression is  forgiven, whose sin  is  covered. 2 Blessed  is  the man unto whom the  Lord imputeth not  iniquity, and in whose  spirit there is no guile.   "

 Now the Lord took away Abraham's sins permanently , therefore , Abraham's righteousness is not by his works. 

The born again believer possesses the Abraham type of righteousness . It is the righteousness of God by grace through faith through Jesus Messiah God.

 Prophet Jeremiah  said in chapter 23: 6 " In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE Lord OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.'  We are the spiritual Jews promised Abraham (Gen.15:5)

This is what Apostle Paul meant in 1 Corinthian 1: 30 " But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:'

FLATTERY DESTROYS MARRIAGES AND COMMUNITIES

  "Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, about four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall I go against Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up; for the Lord shall deliver it into the hand of the king.

.... And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramoth-gilead, and prosper: for the LORD shall deliver it into the king's hand.And the messenger that was gone to call Micaiah spake unto him, saying, Behold now, the words of the prophets declare good unto the king with one mouth: let thy word, I pray thee, be like the word of one of them, and speak that which is good." 1 Kings 22: 6 " 12,13 

    "Let me not, I pray you, accept any man's person, neither let me give flattering titles unto man. For I know not to give flattering titles; in so doing my maker would soon take me away." Job32:22-23 

  Flattery is an excessive and insincere praise, given especially to further one's own interests. It is the promotion of sin . The enemy  frustrates the promotion of the gospel through flatteries. The person who flatters you has evil intentions and is wicked. Flattery results in bad governance and the death of many .

   We should always pray that we do not fall into the trap of the enemy through flatteries , king David knew those who flattered him did not mean well for him and prayed to be delivered from their scheme . The Bible says  in psalm 5:8 -9 "Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.  For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue." 

   Also Psalm 12: 2 -3. says  "They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak .The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:". 

   The Lord does not take kindly with those who mislead others through flatteries . Self flattery is as  damaging as that coming from others and the evil intentions eventually become exposed  Psalm 36:2  " For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful"  

   There is no love in flattery and it results in the destruction of lives and property . 

 King Ahab was a victim of flattery by the false prophets in his time. False prophets mislead public officers using flattering and eventually abandon them to face the consequences of their error . Public officers are seen as tools by false prophets as a means to get rich quick at the expense of national development. 

   Flattery is also used to lure God's people into abusive  relationships resulting in failed  marriages  ,  " For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil:To keep thee from the evil woman, from the flattery of the tongue of a strange woman."  Proverbs 5:3; Proverbs 6:24   

Daily meditation on God's word, regular fasting ,prayer  and being accountable to a mature Christian family protects a person from the flattering lips .

1 Peter 2:9KJV " But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light" 

      The word 'marvelous'   in this scripture is the Greek word 'thaumazo' it means 'to have in admiration' and 'darkness' is a word which means 'shadiness'. God's plan is for you to experience prosperity in a world bedeviled with economic woes and confusion caused by shady dealings .You  shall  set the standard in business ethics for others to follow . You are a trophy of God's grace and signs of His benevolence.

        Jacob experienced this in the hands of a treacherous employer master Laban who did everything possible to undo Jacob but instead he thrived, flourished and made gainful progress in adversity. The scriptures says in Gen 30:43KJV "And the man increased exceedingly, and had much cattle, and maidservants, and menservants, and camels, and asses"he thrived in the midst of economic inflation and adversity  A prosperous Christians is a threat to the world's corrupt system , the prosperity of the righteous frustrates the works of evil men. 

       Similarly, Isaac was in a country that experienced extreme lack and instead of fleeing , God told him to remain and caused him to flourish (Gen:26) .Prosperity is not a function of geographical location but our covenant relationship with God. The period of scarcity brings about fear,misery, hopelessness and uncertainty to those without an understanding of the covenant of prosperity that exists between God and His people through Jesus Christ.

       Instead of panic in times of adversity, we should turn to God's word for directions. He is behind the shaking of the world’s economy and it is for our common good( Haggai .2:6-8). He promises to rescue you and make you a sign and a wonder to other nations. Some of the most extraordinary scientific discoveries will emerge from the church during the time of scarcity .I am a living witness to this , God gave me an idea to manufacture ( Mafito multipurpose super clean - Google Search) one of the most advanced cleaning compound the world has ever seen .He will do something great through you too. Scriptures says in   Zechariah 8:13 (NLT): "Among the other nations,… Now, I will rescue you and make you both a symbol and a source of blessing. So don't be afraid. Be strong, and get on with rebuilding the temple!" You shall be a source of financial help to others by reason of covenant prosperity as long as you remain committed to spreading the gospel.

    Daily declare your immunity to the economic inflation because He says in Job 5:20, 22 (NLT): " He will save you from death in time of famine…” because of your faith in Him, He also promises in Psalm 33:18-19: to deliver your souls from death, and to keep you alive in famine." Your future is bright child of God, Psalm 37:18-19 says : you will have more than enough [ more than is needed] during economic recession.

THE CONCEPT OF GOD IN A WOMB

HOW CAN  GOD BE IN A WOMB ?

Isaiah 45;7 " I  form the light, and  create darkness: I make  peace, and create evil: I  the Lord do all these  things."

   Some religions doubt the possibility of the Christian's God being conceived in the womb of a woman ( Mary) . To doubt the possibility of this phenomena suggests  these religious gods are  limited in power and as such is not All-powerful ( can only do a few things at a time so he cannot be in a womb and outside the womb ) He is also not All-knowing( he is limited in information such as how to be in a womb and everywhere else at the same time ) He is also not All-present ( He cannot be in so many places at the same time such as in a womb and outside the womb  ) obviously these gods have the limitations of mortals .

  On the contrary the God of the Born again believer in Jesus Christ is ALL POWERFUL ( He can experience every event in the universe including conception in a human womb and the movement of planets in the universe) He is ALL PRESENT ( He occupies time , space and matter including a woman's womb ) He is ALL KNOWING ( He has information of the past present and future including the interactions of the molecules in a woman's body) 

  He is inside the womb   , outside the womb , and controlling the universe  , he does not have boundaries in his ability to  act . 

The bible says Acts 17:28 " For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring."

 He can reproduce himself ; has offsprings: we were created in his image that's why we have scientists and artists creating things. 

 The baby of a dog is a baby dog with the same DNA

The baby of God is a baby God with the same Identity .

Jesus Messiah God said in John 10:34 "Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? '

     The psalmist says , Psalm 82:6 " I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.' HOW CAN GOD BE IN A HUMAN WOMB  HE CREATED 

What is the meaning of God almighty .?  Is God all powerful ? If he is then he should be able to be in and around Mary and be controlling the universe at the same time the same way TIME  is everywhere and affecting everything. .

    God and his Word are the same thing and words travel with frequency and frequency functions with TIME .TIME exist everywhere in the universe , an example is the pulsar in the universe , obviously a phenomenon of time ( Astronomers have identified a mysterious new fast radio burst (FRB) that beats at regular intervals, much like a heart.

The signal, dubbed FRB 20191221A, is the longest-lasting FRB ever discovered and has a clear periodic pattern, repeating every 0.2 seconds for up to three seconds.  )   likewise God's Word (Jesus Christ)  is sound which travels at a frequency and operates within the perimeter of time (Eccl.3:1 )

GOD'S MEASURE FOR SUCCESSFUL LIVING

I said to myself, “Let’s go for it—experiment with pleasure, have a good time!” But there was nothing to it, nothing but smoke. What do I think of the fun-filled life? Insane! Inane! My verdict on the pursuit of happiness? Who needs it? With the help of a bottle of wine and all the wisdom I could muster, I tried my level best to penetrate the absurdity of life. I wanted to get a handle on anything useful we mortals might do during the years we spend on this earth. Oh, I did great things: built houses, planted vineyards, designed gardens and parks and planted a variety of fruit trees in them, made pools of water to irrigate the groves of trees. I bought slaves, male and female, who had children, giving me even more slaves; then I acquired large herds and flocks, larger than any before me in Jerusalem. I piled up silver and gold, loot from kings and kingdoms. I gathered a chorus of singers to entertain me with song, and—most exquisite of all pleasures— voluptuous maidens for my bed. Oh, how I prospered! I left all my predecessors in Jerusalem far behind, left them behind in the dust. What’s more, I kept a clear head through it all. Everything I wanted I took—I never said no to myself. I gave in to every impulse, held back nothing. I sucked the marrow of pleasure out of every task—my reward to myself for a hard day’s work! Then I took a good look at everything I’d done, looked at all the sweat and hard work. But when I looked, I saw nothing but smoke. " Ecclesiastes 2:1-11 Mssg Bible

   Most modern preachers promote a theology that says a persons success in the eyes of God and man is measured by how much wealth and fame a person has garnered .

    The writer of the book of Ecclesiastes gives us a description of his achievements ,he was an epitome of human achievement and fame but non of it could guarantee lasting peace and joy. He concluded by saying that the quest for success ends in nothing .It was smoke. This is the reason behind suicide among the rich and famous . They are overwhelmed with the vanity of human achievements. 

     Preachers who teach that wealth is a measure of God's favour are trouble makers and agents of instability in the society . The bible says " These people always cause trouble. Their minds are corrupt, and they have turned their backs on the truth. To them, a show of godliness is just a way to become wealthy. Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth." 1 Timothy 6:5‭-‬6 NLT

   A family's true wealth is measured by the degree of happiness present in the absence of worldly possessions , the scripture says  " After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it. So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content. But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction."1 Timothy 6:7‭-‬9 NLT

    The born again christian is rich by reason of the presence of the Holy Spirit in hearts (Ephesians 1:3, Proverbs10:22), we are complete in him (Colosians 2:10) and the scriptures teaches that we should avoid  preachers who teach otherwise ".....a man of God; so run from all these evil things. Pursue righteousness and a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness." 1 Timothy 6:11 NLT Bible  This is a preventive measure against inferiority complex , depression and backsliding.

    “Your anger can never make things right in God’s sight.”  James 1:20.

“Don’t be in a hurry to go to court you might go down before your neighbours in shameful defeat.” Prov. 25:8 LB.

       The near success syndrome is the habit of failing at the edge of breakthrough and this is often as a result of the absence of finishing power born of out of deep-seated anger or bitterness of the soul . Anger could be described as a strong feeling of displeasure and usually of opposition toward someone or something.It is often brought about by real or imagined injury, rage, fury, wrath. Anger is a broad term that applies to various levels of emotion that may or may not be shown and if not controlled ,it results in temper, which is ‘the tendency to be easily angered.

     God’s word warns us against yielding to anger and wrath. The inability to control the temper has placed many persons in very embarrassing situations. Spouses have abandoned marriages only to regret such actions because of intemperance. God would not give you a task when He has not given you the ability to achieve the set task. Therefore, anger should not be given any room in our lives anymore. Failure to master anger could hinder the will of God from being done in our lives. “Stop your anger! Turn from your rage! Do not envy others it only leads to harm.” Psalm 37:8 LB. The scriptures says  “Don’t be quick tempered, for anger is the friend of fools. Eccl. 7:9 LB

       Anger exposes you to Satanic and demonic manipulations. Anger weakens a man's spiritual defense mechanism and intellectual capacity rendering him vulnerable to evil attacks .He finds it hard to make sound judgments . “He that  is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he that rules his spirit than he that takes a city. Pro. 16:32 KJV.

     “A person without self-control is as defenseless, as a city with broken down walls. Pro. 25:28 LB.

     Pride , fear and selfishness are the parents of anger: Usually when a person’s sense of pride is injured he or she becomes aggrieved resulting in anger. Angry persons need to ask the Lord to give them the spirit of humility and generosity. “Proud and haughty scorner  is his name, who deals in proud, wrath. Pro. 21:24. “What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you?

     Ungodly anger leads to hardships and unnecessary sufferings. Hot tempered persons are always in and out of troubles with unpleasant consequences, Prov. 19:19 says “A man of great wrath shall suffer punishment”.. Ungodly anger often leads to unpleasant legal tussles with embarrassing court cases resulting in financial losses. “Do not bring hastily to court for what will you do in the end if your neighbour puts you to shame? Pro. 25:8 God is not in support of most court cases because they are born out of revenge and pride.

      Wise men control their temper because they know it leads to mistakes and even greater problems.  An example of this is seen in the book of Numbers 20: 7,8,10-12, and Psalm 106: 32:33. Moses’ outburst of anger caused him to lose the blessing and privilege of leading his people into the promised land. The Lord spoke unto Moses saying. Take the rod … and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes (the rebellious congregation), and it shall give forth his water … Moses … said unto them. Hear now, you rebels, must we fetch you water out of this rock? And Moses lifted up his hand and with his rod he smote the rock twice and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank. And the lord spoke unto Moses and Aaron, because you believed Me not to sanctify Me in the eyes of the children of Israel. Therefore you shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them .Like Moses many preachers have failed in their ministries because of a rebellious church member. Nobody can change a rebel only God can . Anger leads to near success syndrome.

Prayer : Heavenly Father,  forgive me of my sins against you , I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation , I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power over  anger and the near success syndrome in Jesus name.

OUR LABOUR SHALL NOT BE IN VAIN

  " In those days people will live in the houses they build and eat the fruit of their own vineyards. Unlike the past, invaders will not take their houses and confiscate their vineyards. For my people will live as long as trees, and my chosen ones will have time to enjoy their hard-won gains. They will not work in vain, and their children will not be doomed to misfortune. For they are people blessed by the Lord , and their children, too, will be blessed." Isaiah 65:21‭-‬23 NLT Bible

    The labour of the righteous is blessed of the Lord despite the disappointments we may encounter along the way . The world believes truth is not rewarding therefore , compromise in one's righteous stands is more desirable and celebrated . The world rewards those who disregard the truth of God's word and as such believers tend to be discouraged . We should not be dismayed , pay day is coming . The wicked and the righteous shall receive their rewards accordingly.

    Regardless of the outcome , the lord would want us to know that he will ensure that we do not labour in vain . God rewards us in more ways than we know  . It may not necessarily be through an expected outcome. .

   King David found out that our labour is never in vain during his exile . The Bible says "When David heard that Nabal was shearing his sheep, he sent ten of his young men to Carmel with this message for Nabal: “Peace and prosperity to you, your family, and everything you own! I am told that it is sheep-shearing time. While your shepherds stayed among us near Carmel, we never harmed them, and nothing was ever stolen from them. Ask your own men, and they will tell you this is true. So would you be kind to us, since we have come at a time of celebration? Please share any provisions you might have on hand with us and with your friend David.” Meanwhile, one of Nabal’s servants went to Abigail and told her, “David sent messengers from the wilderness to greet our master, but he screamed insults at them."1 Samuel 25:4‭-‬8‭, ‬14 NLT Bible

  In the morning when Nabal was sober, his wife told him what had happened. As a result he had a stroke, and he lay paralyzed on his bed like a stone. About ten days later, the Lord struck him, and he died." 1 Samuel 25:37‭-‬38 NLT

      David had kept watch over Nabal's flock and was insulted instead of being rewarded .   Eventually. David married Abigail and took over a large portion of Nabal's estate .

   We should make deliberate effort to reward persons who have committed time and resources to build us up especially our parents and spiritual leaders . Refusal to do so is equal to sowing  seeds of labouring in vain and frustration (Luke 6:38). In the same measure that you treat others so shall be done to you.

   The Bible speaks of persons who labour in prayers and the word of God for our progress and wellbeing , they deserve our care, we should reach out to them in appreciation .The Bible says "Wasn’t he actually speaking to us? Yes, it was written for us, so that the one who plows and the one who threshes the grain might both expect a share of the harvest. Since we have planted spiritual seed among you, aren’t we entitled to a harvest of physical food and drink? If you support others who preach to you, shouldn’t we have an even greater right to be supported?  .."1 Corinthians 9:10‭-‬12 NLT , and " Those who are taught the word of God should provide for their teachers, sharing all good things with them. Galatians 6:6

THE IMPORTANCE OF DIVERSIFICATION

Matt 6:22 KJV “The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.” Matt 6:19-24
       The word ‘single’ is the Greek word ‘ Haplous’ which means: folded together , clear . It is used figuratively to mean a healthy eye which by the context of the narrative means to be generous. The text centers on the risk of materialism (seeking possessions). Unfortunately, it has always been used by preachers to mean being focused on a task, Christians were discouraged from developing multitask capabilities for fear of being labeled as not being focused . Before you would have finished reading this message you must have changed focus several times from one item to another.  
   The theology of being focused has caused more harm than good among God’s people. Preachers who are gifted in certain areas of life (business, arts etc.) have to abandon these potentially rewarding ventures in a bid to appear focused before their peers with very unpleasant  consequences to avoid being considered as ‘dispersing the light ‘; however, religious leaders who teach this doctrine have been known to  secretly engage in stock trading, real estate ,building of schools with fees , hospitals etc.  . There are so many buried potentials in the church that's why there is poverty among christians . We were created to solve a problem somewhere in the world and riches and wealth are the rewards of being a problem solver.
         In Mathew 6:22-23 “Jesus speaks literally of a "single" eye versus a "bad" or "evil" one. This saying may involve several plays on words. A "single" eye normally meant a generous one …... A "bad" eye in that culture could mean either a diseased one or a stingy one. Many people believed that light was emitted from the eye, enabling one to see, rather than that light was admitted through the eye. Although here Jesus compares the eye to a lamp, he speaks of "diseased" eyes which fail to admit light. Such eyes become a symbol for the worthlessness of a stingy person. The word of God is light and not to be mixed with the light of men.
           The born again believer is endowed with multiple potentials and should not be limited by any. Your gift is what will make a way for you and we are expected to develop our gifts. Our greatness is attached to our gifts and are promoted through generosity in the light of God's word  .  Prov 18:16 KJV says “ A man's gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men. “
