HOW TO CURB THE DESPERATION TO ENTER PUBLIC OFFICE IN NIGERIA (Part 2)

You are marked for extraordinary promotion because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

HOW TO CURB THE DESPERATION TO ENTER PUBLIC OFFICE IN NIGERIA (Part 2)

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

POLICY FORMULATION TO CURB THE DESPERATION TO ENTER PUBLIC OFFICE.

As a long term strategy God's people have to put in place policies to forestall the reoccurrence of bad governance in Nigeria.

Here’s a policy and scriptural framework for stopping desperation for political office and ensuring financial accountability:

1. STRENGTHEN FINANCIAL GOVERNANCE (Multiple Signatories & Finance Committee)

Policy:

+Create a Finance Committee at state and local government levels.

+Withdrawals must require the signatures of Governor/Chairman + 2 other independent officials before banks honor transactions. The Bible says in

Proverbs 11:14 (AMP) – “Where there is no [wise, intelligent] guidance, the people fall, but in the abundance of [wise and godly] counselors there is victory.”

Also in Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 – “Two are better than one… for if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion.”

This supports shared responsibility and checks & balances.

2. TRANSPARENCY AND PUBLIC DISCLOSURE

Policy:

Publish monthly income and expenditure reports online and on notice boards.

Allow  chief security officers (CSOs) and the media to monitor accounts.

The Bible says in Ephesians 5:11 (AMP) – “Do not participate in the worthless and unproductive deeds of darkness, but instead expose them [by exemplifying personal integrity, moral courage, and godly character].”

Also in Luke 8:17 – “For there is nothing hidden that will not become evident, nor anything secret that will not be known and come out into the open.”

This reinforces openness and public accountability.

3. TECHNOLOGY-BASED FINANCIAL CONTROLS

Policy:

+Implement TSA for states and LGAs.

+ Use digital approval platforms and audit trails for payments.

The Bible says in Habakkuk 2:2 – “Write the vision and engrave it plainly… so that the one who reads it will run.”

This calls for clear, traceable documentation to prevent corruption.

4. LEGAL & INSTITUTIONAL REFORMS

Policy:

+ Make unilateral withdrawal of funds a criminal offense.

+ Strengthen Auditor-General and anti-corruption agencies for real-time audits.

The Bible says Isaiah 10:1-2 – “Woe to those [judges] who issue evil statutes and to those [magistrates] who constantly record unjust and oppressive decisions.”

This condemns unjust governance and enforces righteous law.

5. REDUCE DESPERATION FOR OFFICE

Policy:

+ Peg salaries of politicians to civil service scale.

+ Remove unchecked security votes.

+ Promote service-oriented leadership through civic education.

The Bible says in 1 Timothy 6:9-10 – “But those who [are not financially ethical and] crave to get rich… fall into temptation and a trap…”

Also in Mark 10:43-44 – “Whoever wishes to become great among you must be your servant.”

This addresses greed and promotes servant leadership.

These policies have to be presented before God and prayers made over them daily for them  to succeed .

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and boldness to preach against corruption

PRAYER; Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation

HOW TO CURB THE DESPERATION TO ENTER PUBLIC OFFICE IN NIGERIA (part 1)

Doors are being opened for you in high places for your breakthrough.

Good-life Devotional: HOW TO CURB THE DESPERATION TO ENTER PUBLIC OFFICE IN NIGERIA  (part 1)

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Proverbs 29:2 'When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn."

Psalms 125:3 "For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity."

The desperation to enter elected office mainly stems from easy access to public funds and the absence of strong accountability mechanisms. To address this while ensuring that funds are protected and processes are decentralized, here are practical measures:

 1. STRENGTHEN FINANCIAL GOVERNANCE STRUCTURES

Establish a Finance Committee at both state and local government levels comprising:

1) The Governor/Chairman

2)Commissioner for Finance or equivalent

3)Representative of the State Assembly or Local Legislature

4) Accountant General or Treasurer

All major withdrawals should require multiple signatories (e.g., Governor + 2 other INDEPENDENT officials) before bank honors any transaction.

Implement dual verification through electronic platforms and physical checks.

 2. ENFORCE TRANSPARENCY AND PUBLIC DISCLOSURE

Mandate monthly publication of income and expenditure on official portals and public notice boards.

Create a citizen oversight platform where verified CSOs (Civil Society Organizations) and media can monitor funds in real-time.

 3. INTRODUCE TECHNOLOGY-BASED CONTROLS

-Use Treasury Single Account (TSA) at state and local levels.

-Adopt blockchain or digital tracking systems for government expenditures to prevent hidden withdrawals.

-Automate approvals to reduce human interference and opportunities for collusion.

4. LEGAL & INSTITUTIONAL REFORMS

+ Amend the Financial Regulations to make unilateral withdrawal of funds a criminal offense.

+ Empower Auditor General and EFCC/ICPC to carry out pre-audit checks, not just post-audit.

+ Create independent procurement boards to monitor contract awards and payments.

 5. REDUCE DESPERATION FOR OFFICE

Peg salaries and allowances of politicians to the same scale as senior civil servants.

+ Remove lump-sum security votes or subject them to scrutiny.

+ Introduce performance-based incentives instead of automatic access to state resources.

Preachers are expected to sensitize church members regularly on the importance of good governance.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word godly leadership in all areas of governance .

PRAYER : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power for good governance.

GOD IS LEAST INTERESTED IN CHURCH CONVENTIONS AND SACRIFICES

You shall not be disgraced because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: GOD IS LEAST INTERESTED IN CHURCH CONVENTIONS AND SACRIFICES

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Many assume that church conventions, seminars, and monthly sacrifices please God, but Scripture says otherwise. In Isaiah 1:4, God laments, “Ah, sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity…” Despite endless gatherings and offerings, our society groans under corruption, insecurity, and hardship. Verse 7 declares, “Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire…”—a reflection of the current reality where terrorism and economic decay prevail.

Jesus Christ came with a clear message: “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matthew 4:17). Sadly, this call to repentance has been replaced with sermons that glorify covetousness—urging people to “sow seeds” for breakthroughs rather than pursue holiness. Yet, 2 Peter 2:5 reminds us that God spared not the ancient world but saved Noah, a preacher of righteousness. This shows God values righteousness above rituals.

True peace and stability in any nation come through righteousness. Isaiah 32:17 declares, “The work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever.” No amount of offerings can substitute for godly living. That is why Jesus commanded, “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness” (Matthew 6:33).

If we are willing and obedient, Isaiah 1:19 promises, “You shall eat the good of the land.” What God desires is not empty ceremonies but hearts transformed by truth (Micah 6:8). Let us return to preaching repentance and righteousness, for that is the only way our nation will experience lasting peace and prosperity.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and boldness to preach righteousness.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation.

EXPOSING THE SPELL OF FALSE PREACHERS WHO SERVE CORRUPT LEADERS

You are protected against witchcraft manipulations because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

EXPOSING THE SPELL OF FALSE PREACHERS WHO SERVE CORRUPT LEADERS

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

SCRIPTURE FOCUS:

“They have seduced My people, saying, ‘Peace!’ when there is no peace.” – Ezekiel 13:10 (AMP Bible )

In every generation, false prophets arise to deceive, serving as tools for ungodly rulers. In Jeremiah 28, Hananiah falsely promised Israel that their captivity in Babylon would end in two years, pacifying the people despite their rebellion against God. This is a mirror of what happens today in many African nations, where corrupt leaders enlist preachers to promise citizens a better life while looting public resources.

Ezekiel 13 warns of such preachers who declare “peace” when there is none. Their messages create a false sense of security, silencing the righteous outcry against bad governance and perpetuating bondage. Citizens trusting these lies become passive, unable to demand justice or righteousness.

God has decreed judgment on these deceivers. Job 15:34 says, “The congregation of hypocrites shall be desolate.” 2 Peter 2:1-3 calls them exploiters who fabricate stories for profit. But God promises deliverance: “I will deliver My people out of your hand, and you shall know that I am the LORD” (Ezekiel 13:23).

Beloved, do not fall for the illusion of prosperity preached in partnership with evil. Stand firm on truth. Pray daily against these manipulative voices, for only God’s Word brings real hope and freedom (John 8:32).

PRAYER POINT: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome evil .

Father, expose and silence every false prophet speaking lies to sustain corrupt systems. Deliver our nations from deceptive voices and raise leaders who fear You, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

GOD'S JUDGEMENT AGAINST A NATION WITH A COMPROMISED JUDICIARY ( part 2 )

Your family shall be far from disaster because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: GOD'S JUDGEMENT AGAINST A NATION WITH A COMPROMISED JUDICIARY  ( part 2 )

Isaiah 1:4,7 "Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.

[7]Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers." A nation with a compromised judiciary shall suffer retrogression. Here are more of the consequences of this evil .

RISE OF OCCULTISM – People seek evil alternatives (Micah 3:11).

ETERNAL JUDGMENT ON JUDGES – “God will bring every work into judgment” (Ecclesiastes 12:14). The guilty and their supporters will not enter heaven .(1 Corinthians 6:10 ] , 1 Corinthians 15:50]" ...neither doth corruption inherit incorruption."

BIBLICAL SOLUTIONS Include :

A) EXPOSE CORRUPTION: Speak boldly against evil (Ephesians 5:11; Proverbs 31:8-9).

B) REFUSE BRIBERY: Reject Greek gifts that come as palliatives and giveaways “You shall take no bribe” (Exodus 23:8).

C) MOBILIZE FOR JUSTICE: Demand accountability (Isaiah 1:17).

D) PERSISTENT PRAYER: God avenges His elect (Luke 18:7, Ezekiel 11: 1- 12  ).

E) RAISE GOD-FEARING LEADERS: Acts 6:3 calls for men of integrity.

Even when human judges fail, God remains the ultimate Judge. He will “bring every deed into judgment” (Ecclesiastes 12:14). The Church must rise to teach righteousness, defend the oppressed, and trust God for divine justice.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and boldness to expose and resist bad governance.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation.

GOD'S JUDGEMENT AGAINST A NATION WITH A COMPROMISED JUDICIARY ( part 1)

The conspiracy against you shall fail because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

GOD'S JUDGEMENT AGAINST A NATION WITH A COMPROMISED JUDICIARY  ( part 1)

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

When the judiciary becomes corrupt, democracy and justice are endangered and it hinders the promotion of the gospel. Isaiah 5:20 warns: “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil.” Verse 23 condemns judges who “justify the wicked for a bribe.” God’s judgment is clear: “As fire devours stubble… their root will be as rottenness” (Isaiah 5:24-25).

Here are some of the Consequences of a Compromised Judiciary

GOD’S WRATH ON THE NATION – Injustice provokes divine anger (Isaiah 5:25).

LOSS OF STABILITY – “He who receives bribes overthrows it” (Proverbs 29:4).

VIOLENCE AND BLOODSHED – Lawlessness rises (Ezekiel 7:23).

ECONOMIC COLLAPSE – Corruption kills trust and development (Proverbs 29:7).

OPPRESSION OF THE INNOCENT – Amos 5:12 warns of injustice against the poor.

REJECTED PRAYERS – God refuses worship in an unjust land (Isaiah 1:15).

LOSS OF NATIONAL HONOR – “Righteousness exalts a nation” (Proverbs 14:34).

LEADERSHIP CONFUSION – Disorder follows compromised courts (Isaiah 3:12).

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and boldness to speak against the  evil in society .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to promote your kingdom.

OVERCOMING A COMPROMISED JUDICIARY IN ELECTIONS

The evil verdict against shall be overturned because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: OVERCOMING A COMPROMISED JUDICIARY IN ELECTIONS

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

In many nations, especially during elections, the judiciary is expected to uphold justice. However, when courts become tools for manipulation, truth suffers. Isaiah 5:20 warns, “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness.” Verse 23 condemns those “who justify the wicked for a bribe, and take away justice from the righteous.” God’s response to such corruption is severe: “As the fire devours the stubble… their root will be as rottenness” (Isaiah 5:24). Verse 25 declares His anger burns against such a nation.

How then should the people respond when the judiciary is compromised? First, believers must refuse to participate in injustice. Exodus 23:8 states, “You shall take no bribe, for a bribe blinds the discerning and perverts the words of the righteous.” Christians must speak out boldly against judicial corruption, as Proverbs 31:8-9 commands: “Open your mouth for the speechless… defend the rights of the poor and needy.”

Secondly, prayer and prophetic declaration are powerful weapons. In Luke 18:7, Jesus assures that God will “avenge His elect who cry out day and night to Him.” Persistent intercession can turn the tide.

Lastly, the Church must educate society on integrity, holding leaders accountable. Isaiah 1:17 urges us: “Seek justice, rebuke the oppressor; defend the fatherless.”

Though corrupt judges may pervert justice temporarily, God remains the ultimate Judge, and He will “bring every work into judgment” (Ecclesiastes 12:14).

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and his judgement against unrepentant corrupt judges .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome corruption.

THE WEAPONIZATION OF PHILANTHROPY TO ENSLAVE THE CHURCH

You shall not fall into the trap of the enemy because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good-Life Devotional: THE WEAPONIZATION OF PHILANTHROPY TO ENSLAVE THE CHURCH

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

In 2 Kings 18:23, the king of Assyria mockingly offered horses to King Hezekiah, symbolizing a deceptive gesture meant to weaken Judah. Similarly, in modern Africa, corrupt politicians use philanthropy as a weapon to enslave the church and the masses. These so-called “empowerment programs” and handouts are often strategic distractions, masking massive looting of public treasuries through inflated contracts. What appears as generosity is frequently a tool for perpetuating oppression and silencing prophetic voices.

God demands honesty and transparency in governance. Proverbs 11:1 says, “A false balance is an abomination to the Lord, but a just weight is His delight.” This principle underpins why developed nations have procurement systems to prevent over-inflation of contracts. Unfortunately, many preachers in Africa replicate the same corrupt model, using manipulated “seed sowing” schemes and staged philanthropy to exploit God’s people.

Jesus condemned such hypocrisy in Matthew 6:1-4, warning against giving for show or manipulation. Today, fraudsters on social media deploy similar tactics, baiting the vulnerable with giveaways to scam them. These acts are designed to make an evil system look good while keeping people dependent and voiceless.

Christians must reject individual-based governance that promotes personal loyalty over accountability. Instead, we should advocate for system-based governance rooted in righteousness and justice (Proverbs 29:2). The church must rise above the chains of corrupt philanthropy and demand integrity, because true empowerment comes from truth, not from deceptive gifts.

Scripture References: Proverbs 17:23, Micah 6:8, Isaiah 1:23.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and the spirit of discernment.

PRAYER :  Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome poverty.

THE CHURCH AND SOCIAL ORIENTATION FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE

The yoke of unpaid debts shall be broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good-Life Devotional:

THE CHURCH AND SOCIAL ORIENTATION FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

The church is called not only to preach salvation but also to be a light in society, guiding communities toward righteousness and justice. Scripture declares that the church is “built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the chief cornerstone” (Ephesians 2:20). Just as the church rests on divine truth, society must also be built on honesty and justice. Paul reminds us, “The Lord knows those who are His, and let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity” (2 Timothy 2:19). This means only honest persons with proven capacity should be entrusted with leadership (Acts 6:3).

The church has a responsibility to mobilize parishioners against the selling of votes and the enthronement of corrupt leaders. Members should spread this message in schools, markets, and public spaces: righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach (Proverbs 14:34). When believers compromise, society suffers.

False preachers , who enrich themselves through corrupt governments, must be avoided. Jeremiah 23:17 warns that they encourage evildoers and never speak against bad governance. Ezekiel 13:22 says they “discourage the righteous” while strengthening the hands of the wicked. Such preachers equate godliness with wealth (1 Timothy 6:5), but godliness with contentment is great gain (1 Timothy 6:6).

The church must therefore raise its voice as a prophetic voice of conscience. By teaching truth, rejecting corruption, and demanding justice, it fulfills Christ’s command: “You are the salt of the earth… You are the light of the world” (Matthew 5:13–14).

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and righteous leadership in every sphere of governance.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome the evil one.

BIBLICAL WAYS TO PREVENT RIGGING OF ELECTIONS IN NIGERIA WITH A CORRUPTED ELECTORAL UMPIRE

The diabolical structures designed to enslave you shall be destroyed because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

BIBLICAL WAYS TO PREVENT RIGGING OF ELECTIONS IN NIGERIA WITH A CORRUPTED ELECTORAL UMPIRE

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Nigeria’s democratic progress is often threatened by election rigging, especially when the electoral umpire itself is compromised. Yet, a vigilant and united people can safeguard their mandate. Here are some biblical and practical ways:

1. MASS VOTER EDUCATION – “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6). Citizens must be enlightened in churches , mosques market places etc about their rights and the dangers of selling votes.

2. CIVIL SOCIETY MONITORING – Independent groups should observe polling and collation centers, raising alarms when irregularities occur (Ezekiel 33:7).

3. TECHNOLOGY & TRANSPARENCY – Biometric accreditation and electronic transmission of results minimize human interference (John 3:21).

4. PARALLEL VOTE TABULATION – NGOs and citizens can independently count votes at polling units to compare with official tallies, exposing fraud.

5. WHISTLEBLOWER PROTECTION – Honest insiders should be shielded when exposing corruption, reflecting “have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them” (Ephesians 5:11).

6. COMMUNITY POLICING OF VOTES – Set up vigilante squads.  Peaceful guarding of ballots prevents snatching or tampering, fulfilling “be watchful, stand firm in the faith” (1 Corinthians 16:13).

7. JUDICIAL ACCOUNTABILITY – Special electoral courts must swiftly punish riggers. Scripture affirms, “Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees” (Isaiah 10:1).

8. MEDIA TRANSPARENCY – Free press and social media must boldly report results and irregularities (John 8:32).

9. INTERNATIONAL PRESSURE – Credible foreign observers can discourage manipulation through sanctions and global exposure.

10. MORAL REORIENTATION – Religious leaders must remind Nigerians that “righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people” (Proverbs 14:34).

In conclusion, even with a corrupt umpire, rigging is not inevitable. A vigilant, prayerful, and courageous people can defend truth and ensure that leadership reflects the genuine will of the people.

In our daily prayers seek a healthy appetite for God's word and deliverance from bad governance.

PRAYERS: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power for good governance.

GOD’S JUDGEMENT AGAINST VOTE SELLING AND BUYING IN NIGERIA

You shall not be put to shame because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

GOD’S JUDGEMENT AGAINST VOTE SELLING AND BUYING IN NIGERIA

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

In every election season, many exchange their votes for money, food, or empty promises. Yet, God’s Word warns that “righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people” (Proverbs 14:34). When citizens sell their votes and leaders buy power with corruption, they sow seeds of judgment that bring bitter harvests to the land.

One consequence is the increase in terrorism and insecurity. Without godly leadership, violent men rise to oppress the people (Proverbs 28:2). Families also suffer marital failures, for dishonest wealth brings distrust and brokenness (Proverbs 16:8). Those who profit from corrupt votes often face sicknesses and afflictions, because ill-gotten gain carries curses (Deuteronomy 28:22).

Businesses do not prosper under stolen mandates; instead, corruption causes economic collapse and currency devaluation (Isaiah 1:22). Even the preaching of the gospel is hindered, for wicked rulers suppress truth and promote darkness (Proverbs 29:2).

The church is not exempt—many believers fall into backsliding, influenced by corrupt leadership (1 Corinthians 15:33). Such an atmosphere gives room for the rise of occultism and witchcraft in politics and society (1 Samuel 15:23). Worse still, these sins attract generational curses, for God declared: “Cursed is anyone who accepts a bribe to shed innocent blood” (Deuteronomy 27:25).

If Nigeria refuses to repent, the end result is national destruction. God removes His hand of blessing, and the land is left in reproach and hardship.

Beloved, selling and buying votes is not just political corruption—it is a spiritual rebellion against God. Let us stand for truth, refuse bribes, and pray for righteous leaders, for only then will peace, prosperity, and godliness reign.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and righteousness in the land .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation.

WAYS THE CHURCH CAN STOP THE SELLING OF VOTES IN NIGERIA

You shall be a light wherever you are found because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good-Life Devotional:

WAYS THE CHURCH CAN STOP THE SELLING OF VOTES IN NIGERIA

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

The Nigerian church has a vital role to play in curbing the menace of vote-selling, a practice that weakens democracy and enthrones corrupt leadership. Scripture warns in Exodus 23:8: “You shall not take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the clear-sighted.” Selling votes is no different—it blinds citizens to truth and justice.

Selling votes brings about increase in poverty and insecurity . Those who do so will not go unpunished by the lord .

First, the church must teach biblical integrity by showing that righteousness exalts a nation (Proverbs 14:34). Members should understand that their votes are sacred seeds for the nation’s future. Second, churches should educate believers on civic responsibility, organizing voter awareness forums. Third, leaders must boldly condemn vote-buying from the pulpit, calling it sin.

Fourth, through prayer and intercession (2 Chronicles 7:14), the church can weaken the spiritual witchcraft powers behind corruption. Fifth, members must be held accountable before God and their community for their political actions. Sixth, the church should support credible, God-fearing candidates, rather than staying neutral when evil men rise.

Seventh, economic empowerment is key, since poverty drives many to sell their votes. Skill acquisition, welfare, and financial literacy programs can help overcome the temptation to sell votes . Eighth, churches should form civic engagement platforms to monitor elections and partner with NGOs for free and fair polls. Ninth, discipline should be applied to members who participate in vote-selling, showing it is unacceptable before God (1Corintians 5:11)

Finally, church leaders must lead by example, refusing political bribes. When the church remains pure, it can boldly declare, like Paul, “We have renounced disgraceful, underhanded ways” (2 Corinthians 4:2).

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and deliverance from corrupt preaches and leaders .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome corruption.

DON’T MISINTERPRET GOD’S LONG-SUFFERING FOR SLACKNESS

The yoke of the oppressor shall be broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

DON’T MISINTERPRET GOD’S LONG-SUFFERING FOR SLACKNESS

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Many times, God’s people are oppressed and afflicted across the world, and one might expect Him to swiftly unleash His wrath upon the wicked. Yet Scripture reminds us in 2 Peter 3:9 that “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise… but is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” God’s patience is not weakness, but mercy. He delays judgment because of the eternal reality of hellfire—so dreadful that He takes no pleasure in anyone ending there (Ezekiel 33:11).

The truth is that “there is not a righteous man on earth who continually does good and never sins” (Ecclesiastes 7:20). “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). Since “the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23), if God judged us as quickly as we wish He judged others, none would stand. As the psalmist confessed, “If You, Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?” (Psalm 130:3). Indeed, “we have sinned, even as our fathers” (Psalm 106:6).

Therefore, the right response to oppression is not bitterness but prayer—crying to God for deliverance from evil and asking Him to open the eyes of the wicked, that they may repent and be saved. Jesus Himself taught us to pray for our enemies (Matthew 5:44), and Paul urged that “supplications, prayers, intercessions… be made for all people” (1 Timothy 2:1-4).

God’s justice will surely come, but until then, let us walk in patience, hope, and fervent intercession, trusting His timing and mercy.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and the fruit of long-suffering and perseverance in the Spirit .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to forgive .

HOW THE LORD HARDENS THE HEARTS OF MEN

You shall eat the good of the land because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.
Good -Life Devotional:
HOW THE LORD HARDENS THE HEARTS OF MEN
By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi
Psalms 37:35-36 "I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.
Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found."
The Bible records several occasions where the Lord “hardens” human hearts, meaning He allows individuals or nations to persist in stubbornness against His will. This is never arbitrary cruelty; rather, it is God’s judicial response to persistent rebellion, turning people over to their chosen path (Romans 1:24–28).
A well-known example is Pharaoh of Egypt. Though Pharaoh repeatedly hardened his own heart (Exodus 8:15, 32), God confirmed this hardness to display His power through the plagues and Israel’s deliverance (Exodus 4:21; 9:12; 14:4). Similarly, Sihon king of Heshbon refused Israel peaceful passage because “the LORD your God hardened his spirit”  (Deuteronomy 2:30),  leading to his defeat.
In Joshua 11:20, God hardened the hearts of Canaanite kings so they would battle Israel, fulfilling His promise to give the land to His people. In 2 Chronicles 25:20, Amaziah’s refusal to listen was attributed to God, ensuring judgment. Even Israel as a nation sometimes experienced hardness, as Isaiah laments: “Why have You made us stray from Your ways, and hardened our heart from Your fear?” (Isaiah 63:17).
The New Testament also speaks of God hardening. John 12:40 and Romans 11:8 affirm that blindness and hardness came upon Israel to fulfill prophecy and open salvation to Gentiles. In the last days, God will send a strong delusion on those who reject truth (2 Thessalonians 2:11–12).
In every case, hardening is both a divine act and a human choice. God’s hardening seals a person’s persistent resistance, turning it into an instrument for His purposes and ultimate glory.
In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word a willing heart .
PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to walk in obedience to your will.

STANDING AGAINST THE CROWD – UNDERSTANDING EXODUS 23:2

The strong man assigned against your prosperity shall be subdued because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: STANDING AGAINST THE CROWD – UNDERSTANDING EXODUS 23:2

Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Exodus 23:2 (AMP) declares: “You shall not follow a crowd to do evil; nor shall you testify at a trial so as to side with a crowd in order to pervert justice.” This command, given in the context of God’s laws to Israel, warns against being influenced by popular opinion when it conflicts with righteousness.

In ancient Israel, justice depended on truthful testimony and impartial judgment. God forbade siding with the majority for selfish gain, fear of rejection, or desire for approval. The “crowd” represents prevailing trends, public opinion, and the pressure of collective influence. Truth is not determined by numbers, and the majority can be wrong.

This principle applies to the modern church. Many preachers today avoid speaking against corruption, injustice, and bad governance—especially when they benefit from the wealth of corrupt politicians or criminally acquired proceeds. As long as the numbers in the congregation grow and offerings increase, they keep silent, following the “church growth formula” of pleasing people rather than confronting sin. Yet Isaiah 56:10 rebukes silent watchmen who refuse to warn.

God’s Word calls for moral courage. Proverbs 1:10 warns, “My son, if sinners entice you, do not consent.” Romans 12:2 commands us to resist conformity to the world. Daniel, Elijah, and the apostles stood against the tide, choosing obedience to God over the favor of men.

Exodus 23:2 remains a timeless reminder: the true church must resist the lure of popularity, financial gain, and crowd approval, standing boldly for God’s unchanging truth regardless of the consequences.

RESISTANCE AGAINST WITCHCRAFT IN THE CHURCH

You are protected against witchcraft manipulations because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: RESISTANCE AGAINST WITCHCRAFT IN THE CHURCH

Galatians 3:1

" O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, ..'

1 Samuel 15:23 declares, “For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.” Witchcraft is not limited to occult rituals; it manifests whenever God’s word is resisted and His authority is despised. Isaiah 1:19 assures that willingness and obedience bring God’s blessings, but rebellion invites curses and destruction.

In many churches today, witchcraft enters subtly through individuals—often disguised as prophets or prophetesses—who operate in the spirit of Jezebel (2 Kings 9:22; Revelation 2:20–22). This spirit promotes immorality, idolatry, and false prophecy, leading believers away from truth. Such teachings open the door to spiritual and even financial poverty, for witchcraft disrupts divine order and hinders God’s favor (Deuteronomy 28:15–20).

God showed His displeasure against teachers of rebellion in Jeremiah 28:15–17, striking Hananiah the false prophet dead for speaking lies in His name. Likewise, He commands His people to expose and prophesy against such practices (Ezekiel 13:17–23). These workers are partners with the destroyer (1 Corinthians 10:10), bringing division, sickness, and death into the body of Christ.

Micah 5:12 promises that God will “cut off witchcraft” from among His people, purging His church from every occult influence. Believers must resist by staying rooted in Scripture (2 Timothy 3:16–17), discerning spirits (1 John 4:1), and walking in obedience to the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:16–18).

To overcome witchcraft, the church must reject rebellion, submit fully to God (James 4:7), and stand united in prayer and holiness, for only then will the gates of hell not prevail (Matthew 16:18).

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and a discerning spirit .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome witchcraft.

SELFISHNESS SHROUDED IN EGOCENTRIC PHILANTHROPIC GESTURES

Doors are being opened for you in high places because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

SELFISHNESS SHROUDED IN EGOCENTRIC PHILANTHROPIC GESTURES

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

God desires that we show kindness, but His ultimate aim is the salvation of souls. Acts of benevolence are commendable only when they align with His redemptive purpose. Many followed Jesus Christ because of the bread and fish He gave them, yet He rebuked them for seeking perishable food instead of eternal life (John 6:26-27).

Sadly, many believers refuse to support teachers of the gospel of righteousness, contrary to God’s command in Galatians 6:6 and 1 Corinthians 16:1-2. This neglect hinders the spread of the gospel, while the same individuals pour resources into self-glorifying philanthropic gestures that hold no eternal value. God’s word warns that benevolence without repentance is futile — Isaiah 26:10 teaches that showing kindness to the wicked will not change their hearts.

True biblical giving must be coupled with the preaching of the gospel. We are instructed to “make full proof” of our ministry by doing the work of an evangelist (2 Timothy 4:5), fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15). Isaiah 32:5-6 reminds us that a fool’s generosity can promote folly rather than righteousness.

In Nigeria, corrupt politicians and religious leaders have weaponized philanthropy to entrench bad governance and gain public praise while ignoring justice and truth. Yet, God calls His people to fruit-bearing that remains (John 15:16).

Philanthropy without Christ is empty. Only when benevolence flows with the message of repentance and faith in Jesus Christ does it count before God and become a seed for eternal life.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and wisdom for excellence.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me for my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome poverty.

SELFISHNESS IS LEARNED, SO IS GENEROSITY — YOU CAN UNLEARN IT

The curse of poverty and stagnation is broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good-Life Devotional; SELFISHNESS IS LEARNED, SO IS GENEROSITY — YOU CAN UNLEARN IT

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Selfishness and generosity are both learned behaviors. The Bible shows that, with the help of the Holy Spirit, we can unlearn selfishness and embrace generosity. In 2 Corinthians 8:1–5, the Macedonian church demonstrated the virtues of generosity despite their extreme poverty. Filled with joy in the Holy Spirit, they pleaded with Paul to accept their gifts for the saints. Their giving flowed from a heart taught by grace, not by compulsion.

Selfishness, on the other hand, destroys relationships and is a major cause of failed marriages (Philippians 2:3–4). It is a symptom of pride and self-reliance, not faith in God. Abraham modeled generosity to Isaac by his willingness to sacrifice him, trusting God to provide (Genesis 22:1–14). Isaac embraced this principle, becoming influential and prosperous through divine favor (Genesis 26:12–14). Likewise, Solomon learned generosity from David, who gave abundantly for God’s temple (1 Chronicles 29:3–5), and Solomon’s wealth reflected that spirit.

Hannah’s generosity was seen when she gave Samuel to the Lord’s service (1 Samuel 1:27–28). Under Eli, Samuel grew in wisdom and favor, unlike Eli’s selfish sons, who perished (1 Samuel 2:12–17, 34).

Selfishness blocks the flow of the gifts and fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22–23), creating room for false teachers motivated by greed (2 Peter 2:3). Paul rebuked the Corinthians for selfishness, urging them to excel in generosity (2 Corinthians 9:6–8).

Through renewing our minds (Romans 12:2) and depending on the Spirit, we can unlearn selfishness and walk in the liberating joy of generosity.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and generosity in the Spirit.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to prosper .

LOYALTY TO GOD IS LEARNT — SO IS DISLOYALTY

You are entering into a place of peace and stability because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.
Good-Life Devotional:  LOYALTY TO GOD IS LEARNT — SO IS DISLOYALTY
By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi
Loyalty to God is not automatic; it is cultivated through teaching, example, and personal choice. In Jeremiah 35:2–14, God commended the Rechabites, descendants of Jonadab the son of Rechab, who had been trained to abstain from wine. Even generations later, they obeyed their father’s instruction. This shows that loyalty to God and His commands can be passed down through consistent teaching and example (Proverbs 22:6).
On the other hand, disloyalty is also learned. Jacob, influenced by his mother Rebekah, deceived his father Isaac (Genesis 27). This deceit became a pattern in his family, showing how learned disobedience can have lasting consequences. By contrast, Timothy learned genuine faith from his mother Eunice and grandmother Lois (2 Timothy 1:5), proving that godliness can also be inherited through godly influence.

However, learned disobedience can be unlearned. The Bible commands us to be “transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Romans 12:2). Through repentance, immersion in God’s Word, and dependence on the Holy Spirit (John 14:26), we can break cycles of sin and build a legacy of faithfulness.

Isaiah 1:19 declares, “If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land.” Obedience brings blessing (Deuteronomy 28:1–2), while stubbornness leads to loss. We must choose daily to learn loyalty to God—by loving Him, keeping His commandments (John 14:15), and walking in His Spirit (Galatians 5:16).

What we learn and live, we pass on. Let it be loyalty, not rebellion, that becomes  our family’s testimony.
In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and a humble heart .
PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to be stable .

RAISING A SUPERNATURAL FAMILY

Witchcraft manipulations shall not be in your house because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: RAISING A SUPERNATURAL FAMILY

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

In Acts 21:8–9, we read of Philip the evangelist, whose four virgin daughters prophesied. This did not happen by chance—Philip taught his children chastity, holiness, and active participation in God’s work. A supernatural family is built through intentional discipleship at home. Parents must not only tell their children about God but involve them in worship ministry, evangelism, and fellowship.

Children often emulate their parents—especially their mothers, who generally spend more time with them during their formative years. Godly mothers can leave generational blessings through their devotion, just like Timothy’s mother Eunice and grandmother Lois (2 Timothy 1:5), whose faith shaped his ministry. Moses’ wife interceded for his life (Exodus 4:24–26), showing the power of a praying spouse. Fathers, like Joshua, must boldly declare, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord” (Joshua 24:15).

Children should not be raised by the world’s system—its entertainment, ungodly media, and distorted values. Excessive television and internet exposure erode holiness. Instead, establish a daily routine of prayer and Bible reading (Deuteronomy 6:6–7), making the Word central in family life.

A supernatural family is not accidental—it is cultivated. It is a home where Christ is honored, worship is a lifestyle, and spiritual gifts are nurtured. When parents model consistent devotion, children are inspired to follow Christ wholeheartedly.

Like Philip’s household, every Christian family can be a prophetic voice to the world, living in holiness and power, leaving behind a legacy that will outlast generations. “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6).

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and zeal to serve God .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and gifts of the Spirit .

GOD CANNOT BE TEMPTED, NOR DOES HE TEMPT ANYONE

You shall not fall into the enemy's trap because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.
Good -Life Devotional : GOD CANNOT BE TEMPTED, NOR DOES HE TEMPT ANYONE
By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

James 1:13–14 says, "Let no one say when he is tempted, 'I am being tempted by God'; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust" (NASB). This verse is often misunderstood or misused to question the nature of God—especially His holiness and justice.

James makes a clear distinction: God is not the source of moral temptation. Temptation originates from within the human heart. This echoes Jesus’ teaching in Mark 7:21–23, where He says that evil thoughts and actions proceed from the heart. In other words, sin is not forced upon man—it is the outworking of his fallen desires.

Critics might ask, “But didn’t God test Abraham?” Yes, God tests to prove faith (Genesis 22:1), but He does not tempt to sin. Testing refines; temptation entices to destroy.

Furthermore, Hebrews 4:15 states that Jesus, though fully God, was tempted “in all points…yet without sin.” This confirms that while Jesus was tempted externally, He never had internal sinful desires, affirming His divine purity.

God is holy (Isaiah 6:3) and light, “in whom is no darkness at all” (1 John 1:5). Thus, attributing temptation to God contradicts His nature. Instead, believers are urged to resist temptation through God's Word and Spirit (1 Corinthians 10:13, Galatians 5:16).

In conclusion, James 1:13–14 upholds the holiness of God and places moral responsibility on humans, calling them to repentance and spiritual discipline.
In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and guidance by his Spirit.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation.

THE LAST THREE SIGNS BEFORE THE SECOND COMING OF JESUS CHRIST

You shall continue to make great progress regardless of the prevailing circumstances because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

THE LAST THREE SIGNS BEFORE THE SECOND COMING OF JESUS CHRIST

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

The Bible outlines several signs that will precede the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, but three major signs stand out as the final indicators of His imminent return.

First, WIDESPREAD DECEPTION AND APOSTASY will mark the last days. Jesus Himself warned in Matthew 24:24 (AMP) that “false Christs and false prophets will arise, and they will show great signs and wonders, so as to deceive, if possible, even the elect.” Many will abandon true faith, embracing doctrines that oppose the teachings of Christ (2 Thessalonians 2:3).

Second, there will be THE RISE OF THE ANTICHRIST AND THE GREAT TRIBULATION. Scripture describes a period of unparalleled suffering and persecution led by the “man of lawlessness” (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4), who will exalt himself as God and deceive nations. Jesus said in Matthew 24:21 that this tribulation will be unlike anything the world has ever experienced.

Third, the COSMIC AND GLOBAL UPHEAVAL will signal the final moments before Christ’s return. Luke 21:25-26 describes signs in the sun, moon, and stars, with nations distressed by roaring seas and people fainting in fear of what is coming upon the earth. These events will culminate in the visible return of Jesus Christ with power and great glory (Matthew 24:30).

These signs serve as urgent reminders for believers to remain steadfast in faith, live holy lives, and eagerly anticipate the blessed hope of Christ’s glorious appearing (Titus 2:13).

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and eagerness to spread the gospel.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to preach the gospel.

HOW THE ANTICHRIST INFILTRATES CHURCHES USING HUMANISM DOCTRINES

The structure of poverty designed to enslave you shall collapse because of the anointing of God's favour upon you..

Good-Life Devotional:  HOW  THE ANTICHRIST INFILTRATES CHURCHES USING HUMANISM DOCTRINES

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Scripture warns that before the return of Jesus Christ, deception will rise within the church (2 Thessalonians 2:3–4). One of the Antichrist’s subtle tools is humanism—a philosophy that exalts man’s reasoning and desires above God’s truth. Here are some  ways this infiltration occurs:

ELEVATING HUMAN WISDOM ABOVE SCRIPTURE – Churches begin to rely more on philosophy, psychology, and secular reasoning than on the inspired Word of God (Colossians 2:8). Sermons shift from biblical exposition to motivational talks centered on self-empowerment rather than repentance and faith in Christ.

REDEFINING SIN AND HOLINESS – Humanism teaches that morality is subjective. This doctrine infiltrates churches by downplaying sin, denying the need for repentance, and teaching that humans are inherently good (Jeremiah 17:9). As a result, holiness and separation from the world are neglected.

EXALTING MAN INSTEAD OF CHRIST – Human-centered doctrines focus on self-fulfillment and personal success rather than glorifying Jesus as Lord. Worship shifts to celebrating human potential instead of God’s sovereignty (2 Timothy 3:2–5).

DENYING THE AUTHORITY OF SCRIPTURE – Humanism often questions biblical authority, treating Scripture as outdated or open to reinterpretation to suit cultural trends (2 Peter 2:1–2). This leads to rejecting absolute truths such as Christ’s exclusivity for salvation.

REPLACING FAITH WITH SOCIAL ACTIVISM – While good works are biblical, humanistic infiltration replaces the gospel of salvation with political and social agendas. Churches become more concerned with pleasing society than proclaiming Christ crucified (Galatians 1:10).

Believers must remain discerning, rooted in Scripture, and led by the Holy Spirit to avoid falling prey to these deceptive influences.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and discernment.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to prosper .

DELIVERANCE IS INCOMPLETE IN AN EMPTY VESSEL

You are immune to diabolical manipulations because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: DELIVERANCE IS INCOMPLETE IN AN EMPTY VESSEL

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Deliverance from demonic oppression is only the beginning of a believer’s journey; true and lasting freedom comes when the delivered soul is filled with the Spirit and knowledge of God’s Word. Jesus warned in Matthew 12:43–45 that when an unclean spirit leaves a person and finds the vessel empty, it returns with seven more wicked spirits, leaving the person worse off. This illustrates that incomplete deliverance—without spiritual filling and growth—creates vulnerability to greater bondage.

God’s solution is found in His Word and Spirit. Jeremiah 3:15 promises that God will give pastors who will feed His people with knowledge and understanding. Paul prayed that believers be “filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom” (Colossians 1:9), “filled with the fruit of righteousness” (Philippians 1:11), and to “be filled with the Spirit” (Ephesians 5:18). Teaching churches play a vital role in grounding believers in their authority and privileges in Christ, enabling them to stand firm against demonic attacks.

Despising sound teaching is perilous. Scripture warns, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6), and “My people have gone into captivity because they have no knowledge” (Isaiah 5:13). Africa, especially Nigeria, has seen rising evil activities because many ministries focus on outward deliverance services without ensuring believers are nurtured in Word and Spirit.

True deliverance is completed when the empty vessel is filled with God’s presence, rooted in truth, and walking in victory through Christ (John 8:32, 2 Peter 1:3).

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and a teachable spirit .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to be fruitful.

FOUR LEVELS OF DISCIPLINE A CHRISTIAN MUST MASTER FOR FULFILLMENT

You shall continue to increase in greatness and divine influence because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: FOUR LEVELS OF DISCIPLINE A CHRISTIAN MUST MASTER FOR FULFILLMENT

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

The Apostle Paul exhorts believers in 1 Thessalonians 4:4–5 (AMP) that each must “know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust (concupiscence).” The term possess means to have control or mastery over, while vessel refers to the body—God’s temple (1 Corinthians 6:19). Concupiscence signifies strong, sinful desires that wage war against the soul (James 1:14–15). To live a life of true fulfillment, a Christian must master four critical levels of discipline:

1. MASTERING EMOTIONS: Like Abraham, who did not allow his emotions to override obedience when asked to sacrifice Isaac (Genesis 22:2–12), we must subdue emotional impulses. When Balaam couldn’t curse Israel, he lured them into fornication (Numbers 31:16), weakening their defense. Similarly, Samson (Judges 16), David (2 Samuel 11), and Solomon (1 Kings 11:4) fell through unchecked passions.

2. MASTERING THE SPIRIT: Spiritual stability comes through meditation on God’s Word (Joshua 1:8), prayer, and fasting. Without this, believers risk deception by false teachers (Colossians 2:18–19; 1 John 4:1).

3. MASTERING FINANCES: Christians must avoid idleness (2 Thessalonians 3:6–10; 1 Corinthians 4:11), steward God’s resources wisely, support the poor (Psalm 41:1; James 2:2–6), and finance gospel advancement (Galatians 6:6; 1 Corinthians 16:1–2; Romans 15:26).

4. MASTERING PHYSICAL HEALTH: We honor God by caring for our bodies through healthy eating, exercise, rest, and regular checkups (3 John 1:2; Proverbs 3:7–8).

Mastering these disciplines ensures that believers walk in sanctification and fulfill their divine calling with victory and fruitfulness.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and a heart that is open to correction .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power for self control .

FOOLISHNESS MISTAKEN FOR CURSES

The anointing of God's favour is giving you wisdom to solve complicated problems above your opponents.

Good -Life Devotional: FOOLISHNESS MISTAKEN FOR CURSES

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Psalm 107:17 (AMP) says, “Fools, because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, were afflicted.”

The Bible often attributes suffering not to ancestral curses but to foolishness and disobedience to God’s wisdom. The church in Galatia was called “foolish” because they turned from the truth of salvation by faith in God's wisdom to human effort

by corruption (Galatians 3:1–2). Similarly, many churches in Africa misinterpret the consequences of poor leadership and lack of social amenities—such as hospitals, good roads, and security—as demonic attacks or generational curses.

Scripture clearly declares that Jesus Christ has redeemed believers from every curse of the law (Galatians 3:13) and has “canceled out the certificate of debt … and set it aside, nailing it to the cross” (Colossians 2:14). Therefore, persistent poverty and suffering in many nations are not spiritual curses but results of mismanagement of resources and corruption. Sadly, instead of holding leaders accountable, preachers—often benefiting from the system—urge people to fast and pray more, ignoring the biblical call to wisdom and righteous stewardship.

Wisdom, not ritualistic fasting, brings prosperity. King Solomon’s wisdom made him the wealthiest king (1 Kings 10:23–24). Joseph’s God-given insight managed Egypt’s resources, leading to abundance (Genesis 41:39–41). Abraham also prospered through divine guidance and wise decisions (Genesis 13:2).

True salvation and holistic prosperity—spiritual, emotional, moral, and financial—come through the wisdom of God’s Word. As 2 Timothy 3:15 says, “the sacred writings … give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.” James 1:5 reminds us to ask God for wisdom, for His blessing “makes rich, and He adds no sorrow to it” (Proverbs 10:22).

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and wisdom for productivity.

PRAYERS : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome poverty.

CONSEQUENCES OF INDISCIPLINE MISTAKEN FOR SPIRITUAL ATTACKS

Doors are being opened for you in high places for your breakthroughs because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: CONSEQUENCES OF INDISCIPLINE MISTAKEN FOR SPIRITUAL ATTACKS

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Many Christians today attribute their hardships to spiritual attacks, yet often the root cause is indiscipline. Proverbs 15:10 reminds us, “There is severe discipline for him who forsakes the way; whoever hates reproof will die.” A lack of discipline leads to self-inflicted pain that is sometimes mistaken for demonic oppression.

The prodigal son (Luke 15:11–32) is a clear example. His suffering was not from a spiritual attack but from a wasteful and reckless lifestyle. After squandering his inheritance, he faced poverty and humiliation. Only when he acknowledged his fault and returned to his father did restoration come.

Similarly, God rebuked Israel in Jeremiah 2:29–30, saying they brought destruction upon themselves through disobedience and lack of correction. This reveals that many struggles are not external afflictions but consequences of neglecting God’s wisdom and discipline.

Proverbs 22:15 declares, “Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.” Without correction, indiscipline grows, leading to financial ruin, broken relationships, and stagnation in life. Hebrews 12:11 adds that discipline, though painful at the moment, “produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.”

Instead of moving from church to church seeking deliverance, believers should examine their actions, embrace godly correction, and walk in wisdom. True deliverance often begins with repentance and disciplined living, not exorcisms. Spiritual growth requires self-control (Galatians 5:23), obedience (John 14:15), and the willingness to be corrected by God’s Word.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and an open mind to discipline.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation.
