DELIVERANCE FROM THE FEAR OF DEATH

The death sentence against you is hereby revoked because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional;

DELIVERANCE FROM THE FEAR OF DEATH

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Matthew 16:25 "For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. "

Psalms 118:17 'I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD."

The church in Africa has been living below God's ordained standard because of the fear of death. Life is a battle and only the fearless make significant progress. The oppressors of this world use death to intimidate the oppressed but when the oppressed recognises that we all have the same destiny as humans the tide will change . Ecclesiastes 3:19 "For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity."

The rich , powerful, poor , wise , foolish will all eventually die like animals. The born again believer will continue to live in God's presence while the wicked in eternal torment with satan and his demons.

For the wicked and foolish , the bible warns Ecclesiastes 7:17 "Be not over much wicked, neither be thou foolish: why shouldest thou die before thy time? God wants his people to live a long prosperous life on earth (Psalm 91;16)  A long life in poverty is not God's will for his people and this is often caused by the fear of death.

Jesus Christ has delivered us from the fear of death, a profound truth articulated in Hebrews 2:14-15: "Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil—and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death." This passage highlights Jesus' incarnation and crucifixion as pivotal events that dismantle the devil's grip on humanity, liberating us from the paralyzing dread of death.

The resurrection of Jesus is a cornerstone of Christian faith, demonstrating victory over death and offering believers the hope of eternal life. In John 11:25-26, Jesus declares, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die." This assurance transforms our perspective on death from an end to a transition into eternal communion with God.

Additionally, 1 Corinthians 15:55-57 exclaims, "Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting? ...But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." This passage underscores the triumph over death provided through Jesus, reinforcing the message that death has lost its power to instill fear.

By conquering death, Jesus offers peace and confidence to believers, as stated in Philippians 1:21, "For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain." This liberating truth encourages Christians to live boldly and with hope, assured of their eternal destiny in Christ.

The fear of death leads to Christians being enslaved and oppressed and until we overcome this fear through the Word of God and prayer

we cannot attain our collective potentials.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome the fear of death. Amen

THE FEAR OF DEATH LEADS TO A LIFE OF DEFEAT

The more the opposition the higher shall be your influence and greatness because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:  THE FEAR OF DEATH LEADS TO A LIFE OF DEFEAT

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

 Psalms 91:16

" With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.'

The fear of death often leads to defeat, as illustrated in several biblical narratives. One notable example is Moses' instruction regarding fearful soldiers. In Deuteronomy 20:8, Moses commanded, "Is there any man who is fearful and fainthearted? Let him go back to his house, lest he make the heart of his fellows melt like his own." This directive underscores the principle that fear can be contagious and debilitating in combat, weakening the resolve of even the bravest warriors. By sending home those who were afraid, Moses ensured that the army remained composed of confident and determined individuals, thereby bolstering the collective morale and effectiveness of his forces.

Another compelling example is found in 2 Kings 7:3-20, where four lepers, outcasts of society, demonstrated a lack of fear that led to a miraculous victory. These lepers, facing starvation, decided to approach the Assyrian camp. They reasoned, "If they spare us, we live; if they kill us, we shall but die." Upon entering the camp, they discovered that the Assyrians had fled, abandoning their supplies. Their boldness, driven by desperation rather than fear, resulted in the salvation of an entire city.

The Bible repeatedly emphasizes the power of faith and courage over fear. In Joshua 1:9, God commands, "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." This verse, like the examples of Moses and the lepers, highlights that overcoming fear is crucial for victory. Trust in God and the dismissal of fear can lead to triumph even in seemingly impossible situations, proving that courage rooted in faith is a powerful force against defeat.

Prayer: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome the fear of the enemy.

FIVE STEPS TO OVERCOME THE FEAR OF DEATH

That setback shall become a setup for your lifing because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good-Life Devotional:

FIVE STEPS TO OVERCOME THE FEAR OF DEATH

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Overcoming the fear of death can be profoundly challenging, but biblical figures provide a powerful blueprint for conquering this fear through faith, courage, and trust in God. Here are five steps, inspired by Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, the lepers that invaded the Assyrian camp, Jesus Christ, and Apostle Paul.

1. **Faith in God's Protection**: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego faced the fiery furnace with unwavering faith. They declared, "If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us" (Daniel 3:17). Trusting in God's power over death reduces fear.

2. **Courage in the Face of Danger**: The lepers who entered the Assyrian camp exhibited remarkable courage despite their dire circumstances. They reasoned, "If they spare us, we live; if they kill us, then we die" (2 Kings 7:4). Their bravery led to their salvation and that of their city.

3. **Trust in God's Plan**: Jesus Christ exemplified ultimate trust in God's plan. In the Garden of Gethsemane, He prayed, "Yet not as I will, but as you will" (Matthew 26:39). Trusting God’s will helps overcome fear.

4. **Acceptance of Mortality**: Apostle Paul embraced his mortality with confidence, stating, "To live is Christ and to die is gain" (Philippians 1:21). Accepting death as part of God's plan enables peace.

5. **Hope in Eternal Life**: Jesus assured believers of eternal life, saying, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die" (John 11:25). This hope eliminates the fear of death.

By embodying these principles, one can conquer the fear of death, drawing strength from the examples of these biblical heroes. Ask yourself , what is the worst thing that can happen ? Then visualize yourself going though it and surviving. Tell yourself all things will work out for your good, then leave the rest to the lord.  His word says in Psalms 118:18

" The LORD hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death."

PRAYER : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome the fear of death.

DO NOT FEAR THEIR FEAR

The stronghold of the enemy over your mind is hereby broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good-Life Devotional :

DO NOT FEAR THEIR FEAR

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Isaiah 8:12

" Say ye not, A confederacy, to all them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid."

Fear is the enemy's weapon of choice to keep God's people from attaining their full potentials. He employs it through three tactics , Manipulation, Intimidation and Oppression . These are the tools with which people get enslaved to man-made religion, cults , bad governance , abusive marriages etc.

Fear is a powerful emotion, yet the Bible provides numerous examples of individuals who overcame fear through faith in God. King David, Jonathan, and the early disciples exemplify this courage.

King David faced immense fear when confronting Goliath, yet he declared, "The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine" (1 Samuel 17:37). His unwavering faith in God allowed him to face a giant without fear.

Jonathan, the son of King Saul, also demonstrated fearlessness. Despite his father's hostility toward David, Jonathan remained loyal to his friend, trusting God's plan. He declared to David, "Whatever you want me to do, I'll do for you" (1 Samuel 20:4). Jonathan's courage in standing against his own father for the sake of righteousness showcases a profound trust in God's justice.

The early disciples, after Jesus' ascension, faced persecution but continued to spread the Gospel fearlessly. When threatened by the authorities, Peter and John responded, "We cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard" (Acts 4:20). Their boldness was rooted in their conviction and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.

These biblical figures teach us that true courage stems from faith in God's promises. By trusting in Him, we can confront our fears and remain steadfast in our mission.

In your daily prayers , bind the spirit of fear from your family and declare 2 Timothy 1:7 "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."

Prayer: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome fear.

THOUGH THE RIGHTEOUS FALLS SEVEN TIMES HE SHALL RISE AGAIN

Heaven's Angels shall contend against them that contend against you because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good-Life Devotional:

THOUGH THE RIGHTEOUS FALLS SEVEN TIMES HE SHALL RISE AGAIN

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

The Bible often speaks to the resilience and ultimate victory of the righteous, even in the face of repeated adversity. Proverbs 24:16 states, "For though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again, but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes." This verse encapsulates the theme of divine restoration and perseverance that permeates Scripture.

Job stands as a profound example of this principle. Despite experiencing unimaginable loss and suffering, Job remained steadfast in his faith. In the end, God restored Job’s fortunes, giving him twice as much as he had before (Job 42:10). Job’s story illustrates that righteousness, coupled with unwavering faith, leads to eventual triumph, even after severe trials.

Joseph’s journey mirrors this truth as well. Sold into slavery by his own brothers, falsely accused, and imprisoned, Joseph’s life seemed a series of relentless setbacks. Yet, his integrity and trust in God never wavered. Eventually, Joseph rose to a position of great power in Egypt, instrumental in saving many lives during a severe famine (Genesis 41:41-44). His story demonstrates how righteousness can lead to divine elevation, no matter how dire the circumstances.

These biblical narratives reinforce that the righteous may stumble, but through their faith and God’s grace, they will rise again, embodying hope and perseverance in the face of life’s challenges.

Satan desires to wear you out through multiple problems caused by bad governance since you cannot be stopped but God has given you the victory (Read these scripture out loud Ezekiel 21:25-27, Psalm 71:20-22,) Your present trial will bring you into a place of tremendous influence and affluence .( Read Psalm  66:10-12)

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation.

SEVEN REASONS WHY APOSTLE PAULS TEACHINGS ARE HATED BY FALSE PROPHETS

The evil prophesies against your family shall fail because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

SEVEN REASONS WHY APOSTLE PAULS TEACHINGS ARE HATED BY FALSE PROPHETS

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

2 Timothy 1:1 "Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus,"

  2 Peter 3:15-16 "And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

[16]As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction."

Peter who was the first general overseer of the church alluded to Paul's teachings being of God and the opposition of Paul's teachings will bring about destruction and God's judgement upon the guilty .

Apostle Paul's teachings are often controversial and can be opposed by false prophets for several reasons some of which are :

1. **Emphasis on Grace Over Law**:

Paul's doctrine of salvation by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9) challenges legalistic teachings that emphasize adherence to the law as the path to salvation. Merchandisers of religion will be out of business if they accept the salvation man by grace. There would be nothing to sell because Jesus died  for all and made salvation free for all.

2. **Condemnation of False Teachings**:

Paul explicitly warns against false prophets and false teachings (Galatians 1:6-9, 2 Corinthians 11:13-15), undermining those who promote doctrines contrary to the gospel he preached.

3. **Call for Personal Transformation**:

Paul's teachings stress the importance of personal holiness and transformation (Romans 12:2, Galatians 5:16-25), which can be uncomfortable or demanding for those who prefer a more lenient or self-serving message.

4. **Unity in Christ**:

Paul advocates for the unity of all believers in Christ, regardless of their background (Galatians 3:28, Ephesians 4:4-6). This opposes divisive teachings that may aim to segregate or create hierarchies among believers.

5. **Suffering for Christ**:

Paul's message includes the reality of suffering for the sake of Christ (2 Timothy 3:12, Philippians 1:29). This contradicts prosperity teachings that falsely promise a trouble-free life to believers.

6. **Moral and Ethical Standards**:

Paul sets high moral and ethical standards for Christian conduct (1 Corinthians 6:9-11, Ephesians 5:1-5). False prophets who condone or participate in immoral behaviors might find these teachings threatening. Sexual perverts cannot operate freely with Paul's teachings.

7. **Authority of Scripture**:

Paul emphasizes the authority of Scripture and the revelation of the gospel he received from Christ (2 Timothy 3:16, Galatians 1:11-12). False prophets who base their teachings on personal revelations or non-biblical sources often reject this authoritative stance. There would low sales of religious books as a result of Paul's teachings.

These aspects of Paul's teachings present significant challenges to false prophets, whose messages often contradict or undermine the core principles of the gospel Paul preached. God commands us to teach like Paul did .

Prayer : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to resist false preachers . Amen

GOD LOVES JUDGEMENT

The evil pronouncements against you shall be overturned because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional;

GOD LOVES JUDGEMENT

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

The concept of God loving judgment is intricately woven into the fabric of biblical theology, emphasizing His righteousness and justice. Isaiah 26:9 declares, "For when Your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness." This verse underscores the belief that God's judgments serve a purpose: to instruct humanity in righteousness.

In the broader context of Isaiah 26, the prophet speaks of a day when the Lord's justice will be evident, bringing peace and security to those who trust in Him. Isaiah 26:8 states, "Yes, in the way of Your judgments, O Lord, we have waited for You; the desire of our soul is for Your name and for the remembrance of You." This longing for God's judgments reflects a deep understanding that His decisions are always just and aimed at correcting wrongs and establishing divine order.

The theme of God's love for justice is echoed throughout the Bible. Psalm 33:5 proclaims, "He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord." Here, God's love for justice is linked with His goodness, suggesting that His judgments are inherently good and beneficial for creation.

Moreover, in Jeremiah 9:24, the Lord says, "But let him who glories glory in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight, says the Lord." This verse highlights that God delights in judgment when it is coupled with lovingkindness and righteousness, revealing His character as both just and compassionate.

The New Testament also affirms God's righteous judgments. In Revelation 19:1-2, a great multitude in heaven praises God, saying, "Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God, for true and just are his judgments." This heavenly declaration confirms that God's judgments are met with approval and worship, underscoring their fairness and truth.

In conclusion, God's love for judgment is a reflection of His desire for righteousness and justice to prevail on earth. Through His judgments, He teaches humanity righteousness, establishes order, and manifests His inherent goodness. This divine justice is always balanced with His lovingkindness, demonstrating a God who is both just and merciful.

Peter's declaration of God's judgement over Ananais and Sapphira in Acts 5 brought about the fear of God upon the church . The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.

PRAYER : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome evil .

HAVE A STRONG WILL TO LIVE

You shall live to fulfil your divine purpose with exceptional testimonies because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good - Life Devotional: HAVE A STRONG WILL TO LIVE

By Michael Benson Ajayi

Psalms 116:8 "For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling."

Psalms 91:16 " With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation."

A strong will to live is a profound theme woven throughout the Bible, emphasizing resilience, purpose, and faith. This determination is exemplified in numerous verses that encourage believers to persevere, trust in God’s plan, and find strength in His promises.

One of the most compelling illustrations of a will to live is found in the book of Psalms. Psalm 118:17 declares, “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” This verse encapsulates the essence of resilience, urging believers to embrace life with the intention of sharing God’s deeds and glorifying His name. It’s a testament to the belief that life itself is a platform to witness and proclaim God’s goodness.

In the New Testament, the apostle Paul reinforces this concept. In Philippians 1:21, he writes, “For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” Paul’s words highlight a dual purpose: living for Christ means actively participating in and spreading His teachings. This perspective instills a robust will to live, driven by the desire to fulfill God’s mission on earth.

Furthermore, Isaiah 41:10 offers reassurance against the trials of life: “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” This verse promises divine support and strength, empowering believers to face life’s challenges with courage and determination.

The Bible’s teachings collectively affirm that a strong will to live is rooted in faith, purpose, and the unyielding support of God. Believers are encouraged to find strength in His word, live purposefully, and trust in His divine plan, ensuring that their lives reflect His glory and grace.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome the fear of death. Amen

LET IT NOT BE SAID : "WHERE IS THEIR GOD

The chains of stagnation and backwardness are broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good-Life Devotional:

LET IT NOT BE SAID :  "WHERE IS THEIR GOD ?

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Joel 2:17 "Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?"

There is a battle between the kingdom of darkness and God's people over the soul of humanity. The most effective way to implement the plans of God in the world is through the participation of God's people in an effective government.  Satan knows this too well and has planted his agents under the cover of religion in government. They are wolves in sheep clothing.

Preachers are meant to educate the church on how to identify these persons ,  but a corrupt clergy is a tool in Satan's hands to promote his evil plans of the destruction of lives through corrupt government.

The issue of heathen nations ruling over God's people is a recurring theme in the Bible, often portrayed as a consequence of the people's disobedience and departure from God's ways. In Joel 2, the prophet calls for repentance and a return to the Lord as a means of reversing such unfortunate trends. Joel 2:12-13 urges, "Return to me with all your heart, with fasting, weeping, and mourning. Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love." This passage emphasizes the importance of heartfelt repentance as a first step towards restoration.

Additionally, 2 Chronicles 7:14 reinforces this message: "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." This verse highlights the power of collective repentance and prayer in bringing about divine intervention and blessing.

To reverse the trend of heathen rule, believers are called to a sincere return to God, characterized by humility, repentance, and obedience to His commandments. By doing so, they invite God's favor and protection, leading to spiritual and national renewal.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome fear.

THE DEFIANCE OF MAN SHALL PRAISE GOD

You shall not be disgraced because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional

THE DEFIANCE OF MAN SHALL PRAISE GOD

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

2 Chronicles 10:15-16

[15]So the king hearkened not unto the people: for the Cause Was Of God, that the LORD might perform his word, which he spake by the hand of Ahijah the Shilonite to Jeroboam the son of Nebat.

[16]And when all Israel saw that the king would not hearken unto them, the people answered the king, saying, What portion have we in David? and we have none inheritance in the son of Jesse: every man to your tents, O Israel: and now, David, see to thine own house. So all Israel went to their tents."

Psalm 76:10 states, "Surely the wrath of man shall praise You; With the remainder of wrath You shall gird Yourself." This verse suggests that even human defiance and anger can ultimately serve to glorify God, highlighting His sovereignty and the way He can use all circumstances for His purpose.

A biblical illustration of this concept is found in the reign of Rehoboam, Solomon's son. In 1 Kings 12:13-15, Rehoboam rejects wise counsel, responding harshly to the people of Israel, which leads to the division of the kingdom. This defiant act, while seemingly a setback, was part of God's larger plan, as prophesied by Ahijah the Shilonite (1 Kings 11:29-31). The split in the kingdom was a judgment on Solomon's idolatry, demonstrating that God’s will prevails even through human decisions that appear contrary to His purposes.

Rehoboam's story, coupled with Psalm 76:10, underscores a profound truth: human defiance cannot thwart God's plans. Instead, it often becomes a means through which God's greatness and justice are revealed. This perspective encourages believers to trust in God's ultimate control, knowing that He can use even human wrath to bring about His praise and fulfill His purposes.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power for the promotion of godly society.

DO JUSTICE TO THE AFFLICTED AND NEEDY

The plans of the enemy against you shall backfire because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

DO JUSTICE TO THE AFFLICTED AND NEEDY

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Psalms 82:3 "Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy."

The earlier verse Psalm 82:2 can be interpreted as a critique of those in positions of authority (often understood as judges, leaders, or even divine beings in some interpretations) who are failing to uphold justice. They are accused of judging unjustly and showing favoritism towards the wicked, which goes against the principles of fairness and righteousness.

Defending the afflicted and advocating justice for the poor and needy are key tenets of Christian ethics, deeply rooted in biblical teachings. Proverbs 31:8-9 urges believers to "Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy." This verse highlights the moral duty to protect the vulnerable and ensure they receive justice.

Jesus himself exemplified this principle, as seen in Luke 4:18, where He declares, "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free." This mission calls Christians to action, encouraging them to extend compassion and justice.

The Bible repeatedly calls for societal structures that support the oppressed, warning against neglecting their needs. Isaiah 1:17 advises, "Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow." Through these teachings, believers are reminded of their responsibility to advocate for those in need and to work towards a just and compassionate society.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome fear.

DELAYED OBEDIENCE IS DISOBEDIENCE

The agent of darkness assigned to cause delays in your progress shall be sacked by reason of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good-Life Devotional: DELAYED OBEDIENCE IS DISOBEDIENCE

Ephesians 5:6-7

[6]Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.

[7]Be not ye therefore partakers with them.

The blessings and grace of God is time sensitive that's why the bible says Ecclesiastes 3:1 "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:'

Doing a good thing at the wrong time is as good as not doing it at all . Delayed obedience is one of the ways with which the devil frustrates the expansion of God's kingdom on earth.

Delayed obedience is disobedience, a concept vividly illustrated in Numbers 14 and the teachings of Jesus. In Numbers 14, the Israelites' delayed obedience to God's command to take the Promised Land led to severe consequences. Initially refusing to enter the land due to fear, they later decided to go after God pronounced judgment. This delayed action was not counted as obedience, but as rebellion, resulting in their defeat and 40 years of wandering in the wilderness.

Jesus echoes this principle in the New Testament. In Luke 9:59-62, Jesus calls a man to follow Him, but the man asks to first bury his father. Jesus responds, "Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and proclaim the kingdom of God." This teaches that following Jesus requires immediate and complete commitment. Delaying to fulfill other duties, however honorable they may seem, is seen as disobedience.

Moreover, James 4:17 states, "If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them." This highlights that knowing God's will and delaying action is sinful.

Thus, both the Old and New Testaments stress the importance of timely obedience to God's commands, showing that hesitation or delay equates to disobedience.

In our daily prayers we should cast out the spirit of fear hindering our obedience and ask for boldness to act on God's word .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome fear.

SEVEN MISSTEPS IN RAISING CHILDREN.

Your family shall not lack provisions regardless of the circumstances because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

SEVEN MISSTEPS IN RAISING CHILDREN.

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

9/7/24

Proverbs 29:15,17

"The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame."

  17) Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul.

Always allowing  children have their way as a way of pacifying them whenever they are angry is a form of child abuse. Such children grow up to become self-centred and unspiritual adults . Children should be trained to always consider how a decision they are about to take will impinge on their families and the community. Failure to do so will result in catastrophic failure in marriages and families. The bible contains all that is needed for raising responsible children and adults

Raising a child from childhood to adulthood is a profound responsibility, and the Bible provides valuable guidance on this journey. However, there are seven significant missteps to avoid in this process:

1. **Neglecting Discipline**: Proverbs 13:24 states, "Whoever spares the rod hates their children, but the one who loves their children is careful to discipline them." Failing to discipline can lead to a lack of boundaries and respect for authority.

2. **Provoking to Anger**: Ephesians 6:4 warns, "Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord." Constantly provoking or harshly criticizing can breed resentment and rebellion. Commend them when they do well . Tell them you are proud of them when they make the right decision.

3. **Ignoring Spiritual Education**: Deuteronomy 6:6-7 instructs, "These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children." Neglecting spiritual education deprives children of a moral foundation and a relationship with God. Don't miss Sunday school classes .

4. **Showing Partiality**: James 2:1 cautions, "My brothers and sisters, believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ must not show favoritism." Favoritism can create sibling rivalry and feelings of inadequacy.

5. **Overprotection**: Ecclesiastes 3:1 teaches, "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens." Overprotecting can hinder a child's ability to learn and grow independently.

6. **Materialism Over Values**: Matthew 6:24 says, "You cannot serve both God and money." Prioritizing material wealth over spiritual and moral values can skew a child's sense of true success and happiness.

7. **Inconsistent Parenting**: James 1:8 warns, "Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do." Inconsistency in rules and expectations can create confusion and insecurity in children. Take a decision and stand on it

Avoiding these pitfalls, guided by biblical wisdom, can help foster a healthy, well-rounded, and spiritually grounded upbringing for children. Always bind evil spirits and bad friends from influencing your children in your daily prayers. Let them be filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues for inner strength (1Cor 14:4)

Prayer: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to destroy evil family patterns . Amen

SEVEN INDICATORS OF A PERSON WHO WAS POORLY RAISED.

Your family shall not fall apart but shall wax strong in love and overwhelming peace because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.
Good+Life Devotional;
SEVEN INDICATORS OF A PERSON WHO WAS POORLY RAISED.
By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi
Proverbs 22:6 "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."
The African model for child upbringing involved a community being part of the parenting process ,  Community values where passed on from generation to generation through constant reminders by the adults in the community. An adult was assigned to you to educate you on survival skills  which includes, respect for elders , food growing  security, relationships , business and medicine using natural resources.
The massive movement of people from the villages to the city as a result of bad governance has resulted in the corrosion of these values . They have been replaced with man-made religion which does more harm than good to society.
Adonijah and Absalom, two sons of King David, provide clear examples of signs indicating poor upbringing. Their lives, as detailed in the Bible, offer valuable lessons.

1. **Lack of Respect for Authority**: Both Adonijah and Absalom displayed disrespect for authority. Adonijah attempted to usurp David’s throne without his father's consent (1 Kings 1:5). Similarly, Absalom led a rebellion against David (2 Samuel 15:10-12). These acts illustrate a disregard for parental authority and God's anointed leadership.

2. **Self-Centered Ambition**: Adonijah's and Absalom’s actions were driven by selfish ambitions. Adonijah proclaimed himself king (1 Kings 1:5), while Absalom sought the throne by manipulating public opinion (2 Samuel 15:6). Their ambitions lacked consideration for others, a sign of poor moral guidance.

3. **Rebellious Behavior**: Rebellion is a hallmark of poor upbringing. Absalom’s rebellion was marked by violence and conspiracy (2 Samuel 15-18). This echoes Proverbs 22:6, which underscores the importance of guiding a child properly so they do not stray in adulthood.

4. **Disregard for Justice**: Absalom’s killing of Amnon to avenge Tamar (2 Samuel 13:28-29) and his subsequent actions showed a personal vendetta rather than a pursuit of justice. This indicates a failure to instill proper ethical values.

5. **Manipulative Nature**: Both sons manipulated others for their gain. Absalom won people’s hearts deceitfully (2 Samuel 15:2-6), showing a lack of integrity, which is a reflection of poor moral education.

6. **Pride and Arrogance**: Adonijah's presumption to declare himself king without consultation (1 Kings 1:5-10) and Absalom’s vanity, symbolized by his hair (2 Samuel 14:25-26), exhibit arrogance, contrary to the humility taught in Proverbs 16:18.

7. **Impulsiveness**: Their impulsive actions, like Absalom’s rush to rebellion and Adonijah’s premature claim to the throne, show a lack of discipline and forethought, reflecting poor parental guidance.

The narratives of Adonijah and Absalom demonstrate the profound impact of parental upbringing on a child's character and actions.

PRAY WITHOUT CEASING

The stronghold of the oppressor shall be broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

PRAY WITHOUT CEASING

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

7/7/24

Acts 12:5,23 "Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.

And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost."

Herod had killed James who was a disciple of Jesus Christ and proceeded to do the same to Peter because it pleased Herod's admirers, but the church engaged him through prayers without ceasing and prevailed. Peter was released and Herod killed by an angel.

Prayer is what gives our faith power to be active . With faith all things are possible. Prayer destroys doubts when made with relevant scriptures

Praying without ceasing is a biblical principle emphasizing the importance of constant communication with God. The apostle Paul explicitly instructs believers to "pray without ceasing" in 1 Thessalonians 5:17. This directive encourages a lifestyle where prayer becomes as natural and continuous as breathing, integrating every aspect of daily life with God’s presence.

In Philippians 4:6, Paul further advises, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." This verse highlights prayer as a response to anxiety, transforming worry into a dialogue with God. It suggests that constant prayer fosters peace and trust in God's provision.

Ephesians 6:18 underscores the need for perseverance in prayer, stating, "Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints." Here, prayer is presented as a vital tool for spiritual vigilance and intercession for others.

Ultimately, praying without ceasing is about maintaining an ongoing, heartfelt relationship with God. It’s an invitation to share every moment, concern, and joy with Him, aligning our hearts with His will and experiencing His continuous guidance and support.

PRAYER : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power for effective prayers.

GOD'S INTERVENTION: PROPHETS AGAINST FALSE PROPHETS

Your family is protected against the spells of witchcraft because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

GOD'S INTERVENTION: PROPHETS AGAINST FALSE PROPHETS

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Throughout history, God has used prophets to convey his messages and counter the influence of false prophets. The Bible is replete with instances where God sent prophets to warn against the deceitful practices of those who claimed to speak on His behalf.

In the book of Jeremiah, God declares, "I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran. I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied" (Jeremiah 23:21). Here, God denounces false prophets who mislead His people with their own agendas. Instead, He promises to send true prophets to expose their falsehoods and guide His people back to the right path.

In the New Testament, Jesus warned His disciples about false prophets, saying, "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves" (Matthew 7:15). He emphasized the importance of discerning true from false prophets to safeguard against spiritual deception.

A younger prophet Samuel prophesied against his mentor Eli and his corrupt sons for exploiting God's people ( 1 Samuel 3;11-17)

In Ezekiel 11 God commanded prophet Ekekiel to prophesy against the false prophets and leaders in his time .  He did not say 'it is well !! as often said by African Christians but  "Therefore prophesy against them, prophesy, O son of man." Ezekiel 11:4

When we prophesy against a  false prophet angels are sent to frustrate their wicked schemes .

God's intervention through prophets against false prophets serves as a testament to His commitment to truth and righteousness. It reminds believers to stay vigilant, test the spirits, and hold fast to the teachings of God's genuine messengers. As we navigate a world filled with conflicting voices, let us seek discernment and heed the warnings of the prophets sent by God.

False prophets are a tool in Satan's hands to keep people away from the church and as such they will not enter heaven ( Matthew 7;22;23, Matthew 23;13)

Prayer : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome fear. Amen

TEST ALL SPIRITS

You shall not fall into the enemy's trap because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

TEST ALL SPIRITS

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

5/7/24

2 Corinthians 11:14 "And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light."

The word angel is the Greek word ἄγγελος ( aggelos) (G32) it means a messenger , supernatural angel , pastor .

Satan has taken over the soul of many pastors to mislead God's people that is why there is poverty and corruption in many countries in Africa despite the proliferation of churches.

In the realm of discerning spirits, the Bible offers guidance through stories like that of Gideon Abraham and other scriptures. Gideon, known for his cautious approach, tested the divine messages he received. When called to save Israel from the Midianites, Gideon asked for signs to confirm God's will (Judges 6:36-40). He laid out a fleece, asking for dew on the fleece only while the ground remained dry, and vice versa. This methodical approach ensured he was following divine direction, not mere impulse.

Similarly, Abraham's encounters with God often included elements of testing and proving. When God promised Abraham a son in his old age, it was a long wait before the promise was fulfilled (Genesis 21:1-7). Abraham’s faith and patience served as a model for discerning true divine promises from false hopes.

The New Testament reinforces the need for discernment. In 1 John 4:1, believers are urged to "test the spirits to see whether they are from God." This involves evaluating teachings and prophecies against the truth of Scripture and the character of Jesus Christ.

Together, these examples and teachings emphasize the importance of testing and verifying spiritual messages. By following Gideon Abraham's model and scriptural directives, believers can navigate spiritual experiences with wisdom and faithfulness.

Any preacher who says God has not sent him to preach against sin is under the influence of the devil and his church will become a den of thieves . The bible says the message of the kingdom of is centred on righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

These are the three ingredients of a healthy spiritual diet a preacher should consistently feed his congregation and not sensuality and worldly pleasures as is being taught in most African churches and the results are  not far-fetched .

Romans 14:17 "For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.'

Pray ; Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power for discernment.

WHAT ARE FAMILIAR SPIRITS

You shall not be stagnant and frustrated because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: WHAT ARE FAMILIAR SPIRITS

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

3/7/24

1 Chronicles 10:13

"So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD, even against the word of the LORD, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to enquire of it;"

In the Bible, "familiar spirits" refer to entities or demons believed to assist individuals in witchcraft or divination. The Hebrew term for these spirits is (ovot), often translated as "necromancers" or "mediums." ( acquainted with secrets of the unseen world)

These spirits are condemned in Scripture, and their practices are strictly prohibited.

Leviticus 19:31 warns, "Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God." This verse highlights the impurity and defilement associated with engaging with familiar spirits, emphasizing the need for Israel to remain holy and separate from pagan practices.

Deuteronomy 18:10-12 reiterates this prohibition: "There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord." Here, familiar spirits are listed among other forbidden occult practices, underscoring their abominable nature.

The story of King Saul seeking the witch of Endor in 1 Samuel 28 further illustrates the biblical stance. Desperate for guidance, Saul seeks a woman with a familiar spirit, defying God's commands and ultimately facing dire consequences. This narrative serves as a stark reminder of the dangers and divine disapproval of consulting familiar spirits.

Prayer : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome evil manipulations . Amen

THE USE OF SPIRIT MEDIUMS IN DIVINATIONS ABHORED BY GOD.

You are beyond the influence of witchcraft spells because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

THE USE OF SPIRIT MEDIUMS IN DIVINATIONS ABHORED BY GOD.

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

2/7/24

2 Kings 23:24 'Moreover the workers with familiar spirits, and the wizards, and the images, and the idols, and all the abominations that were spied in the land of Judah and in Jerusalem, did Josiah put away, that he might perform the words of the law which were written in the book that Hilkiah the priest found in the house of the LORD."

Spirit Mediums are those spirit guides  people consult to reveal details of unknown events . They are also known as fortune tellers .They can now be found mostly on Tik Tok social media platform . They rely on fallen demonic spirits for information and not the Holy Spirit. They operate mostly at midnight. Persons  not livinhy by God's holy standards in the bible are drawn to spirit mediums for solutions to their problems .

Spirit mediums seek to take the place of God's word in the church . The bible contains the will of God for mankind and anything that seeks to take the place of the word of God is an enemy of God. That is why God opposes spirit mediums .

The Bible explicitly condemns the practice of consulting spirit mediums, as demonstrated by the examples of Manasseh and the girl possessed by a spirit in the Acts of the Apostles. In 2 Chronicles 33:6, Manasseh, a king of Judah, is described as practicing sorcery, divination, and seeking omens. He engaged in activities considered detestable by the Lord, including consulting mediums and spiritists. His actions provoked God's anger, leading to his eventual downfall and captivity. This serves as a powerful illustration of the consequences of seeking guidance from sources other than God.

In the New Testament, Acts 16:16-18 narrates the story of a girl possessed by a spirit of divination, who made her masters wealthy by fortune-telling. When she followed Paul and his companions, proclaiming them as servants of the Most High God, Paul became troubled and commanded the spirit to leave her in the name of Jesus Christ. The spirit left her immediately, showcasing God's power over such entities and affirming His disapproval of their influence.

These biblical accounts underscore a clear message: God detests the practice of consulting spirit mediums. Such acts are seen as turning away from Him and His guidance, which is why believers are urged to seek wisdom and direction solely from God, as emphasized in Isaiah 8:19 " And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead?"

Prayer: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome witchcraft.

THE BIBLE COMMANDS THAT WE REBUKE THE SINNER OPENLY

The anointing of God's favour is healing wherever you are hurting now.

Good -Life Devotional: THE BIBLE COMMANDS THAT WE REBUKE THE SINNER OPENLY

1/7/24

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

1 Timothy 5:20 "Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear."

Modern church growth formula says a pastor should not openly speak against sins to avoid offending major  investors to their infinitesimal ministries this will ensure growth of his church. This gives room for the promotion of immorality under the cover of working in love in the church of Christ .

The Christian life varies from that of the unbelievers in that it is based on the referential fear of God. It has zero tolerance for sin . God loves sinners but hates their sins and will destroy wherever sin is found (Ezekiel 14:13)

The Bible encourages believers to rebuke sinners openly, following the example set by Jesus. Open rebuke is seen as an act of love and correction, intended to guide others back to righteousness.

Jesus himself practiced open rebuke during His ministry. In Matthew 23:27, He confronted the hypocrisy of the Pharisees, saying, "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean." This direct approach highlighted the importance of addressing sin candidly to bring about repentance.

Additionally, Proverbs 27:5-6 emphasizes the value of open rebuke: "Better is open rebuke than hidden love. Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies kisses." This passage suggests that rebuke, though potentially painful, is an act of true friendship and concern.

Paul's epistles also support this practice. In Galatians 2:11-14, Paul recounts how he confronted Peter for his inconsistency regarding Gentile believers, demonstrating the necessity of addressing sin even among church leaders.

Ultimately, rebuking sin openly, as modeled by Jesus and taught throughout Scripture, is an essential aspect of maintaining holiness within the Christian community, promoting repentance, and fostering spiritual growth.

Prayer: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation. Amen
