RAISING WISE CHILDREN IN A CORRUPT WORLD SYSTEM

Unexpected financial breakthrough will locate you because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good-Life Devotional:

RAISING WISE CHILDREN IN  A CORRUPT WORLD SYSTEM

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

“Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child; The rod of discipline [correction administered with godly wisdom] will remove it far from him.” – Proverbs 22:15 (AMP)

Every child is born with a sinful nature, which often manifests in stubbornness, disobedience, and wrong desires. The Bible calls this foolishness bound in the heart. If left unchecked, these tendencies can lead to destruction—not just for the child but for the family and society.

God’s Word shows us the remedy: discipline, instruction, and the fear of the Lord. Training a child in God’s ways is not optional; it is a divine mandate. Proverbs 22:6 tells us to “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” This means deliberate, consistent teaching of God’s Word, correction when necessary, and living as an example of godliness.

Discipline does not mean harsh punishment; it means guiding with love, setting boundaries, and showing the consequences of choices. A parent who prays for their child and models righteousness will influence that child far more than mere words. Remember, rebellion and foolishness are spiritual issues, so intercession and teaching must go hand in hand.

APPLICATION

Make time daily to teach your children God’s Word.

Correct wrong behavior IMMEDIATELY but with love and fairness. Delayed correction shows weakness.

Pray consistently for your children to fear God and choose wisdom.

Be an example; your life speaks louder than your instructions.

PRAYER Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and wisdom for excellence.

Father, I thank You for the gift of children. Help me to raise them in Your wisdom. Remove every spirit of rebellion and foolishness from their hearts. Teach me to discipline with love and to lead by example. May my children walk in the fear of the Lord and fulfill Your purpose for their lives, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

TREES OF RIGHTEOUSNESS – THE PLANTING OF THE LORD

You shall continue to make great progress despite the opposition against you because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good-life Devotional: TREES OF RIGHTEOUSNESS – THE PLANTING OF THE LORD

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Isaiah 61:3 declares that God’s people “shall be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.” A tree is known by its fruit (Matthew 7:17), and as God’s planting, we are expected to produce fruits that reflect His nature. These fruits of righteousness do not appear by accident; they grow from the seeds we sow.

According to 2 Corinthians 9:10, God “supplies seed to the sower and bread for food, and will also supply and increase your store of seed and enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.” These seeds include the Word of righteousness we preach (Luke 8:11) and the financial resources we give for the advancement of the gospel (Philippians 4:17). Every time we share the gospel or support kingdom work, we are planting seeds that will transform lives and society for the better.

Over time, consistent sowing results in us being “filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God” (Philippians 1:11). When righteousness flourishes, society enjoys peace and stability, for “righteousness exalts a nation” (Proverbs 14:34).

Jesus said, “Abide in Me…and you will bear much fruit” (John 15:5). As we remain rooted in Christ and faithful in sowing righteous seeds, we grow into strong trees that provide shade, fruit, and life to others. Let us keep planting—through preaching, giving, and living God’s Word—until the earth is filled with the beauty of His righteousness (Habakkuk 2:14).

You are God’s planting—keep sowing, keep growing, keep transforming lives!

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and grace to give towards God's work.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome poverty.

NIGERIA: FROM CORRUPTION TO RIGHTEOUSNESS

Your righteousness shall break forth like a shining light because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: NIGERIA: FROM CORRUPTION TO RIGHTEOUSNESS

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

: “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.” – Habakkuk 2:14 (AMP)

Pastor Sydney Granville Elton. ( April 16 , 1907- January 14, 1987 )  , a British missionary  to Nigeria who spent 50 years doing ministry in Ilesha western Nigeria , gave a prophecy  that resonates strongly today:

“Nigeria and Nigerians will be known all over the world for corruption. Your name – Nigeria – will stink for corruption, but after a while, a new phase will come. A phase of righteousness. People from the nations of the earth will hold a Nigerian and say, ‘We want to follow you to your nation to learn righteousness.’”

Today, we see the first part of this prophecy fulfilled. Nigeria struggles with systemic corruption, and sadly, the church is not exempt. The merchandising of the gospel—turning ministry into a business—has created greed, false prophecies, and moral compromise. Many preachers now echo the words of Micah 3:11: “Her leaders judge for a bribe, her priests teach for a price, and her prophets tell fortunes for money.”

Yet, the prophecy did not end in darkness. God promised a season of righteousness. This aligns with Isaiah 60:1-3: “Arise, shine, for your light has come… Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.” A great revival is coming, and Nigeria will play a key role in global evangelism. God is raising aposttles of righteousness in Nigeria.

But this future depends on obedient believers. The call is clear:

REPENTANCE: Judgment begins in the house of God (1 Peter 4:17).

HOLINESS: Without holiness, no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).

DISCIPLESHIP: Raising a generation that loves Christ more than money.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation.

Lord, purge Your church in Nigeria. Raise men and women who will stand for truth and righteousness. Let revival begin in me, and let Your light shine from Nigeria to the nations.

WHEN LAWMAKERS BLOCK JUSTICE”

The strongman hindering your progress shall be subdued by the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

 “WHEN LAWMAKERS BLOCK JUSTICE”

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Proverbs 29:2 – “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when a wicked man rules, the people groan.”

In every nation, justice is the foundation of peace. When lawmakers refuse to pass bills that guarantee free and fair elections, they deny the people their God-given right to righteousness and equity. The Bible warns that when justice is perverted, oppression multiplies Poverty and  insecurity increases (Ecclesiastes 5:8).

God expects His people to speak up. “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed” (Proverbs 31:8-9 AMP). Silence in the face of injustice empowers the wicked. As Christians, we must pray for our leaders (1 Timothy 2:1-2) but also take lawful action to demand accountability.

God hates dishonest scales (Proverbs 11:1). Electoral fraud and legislative sabotage destroy the foundation of governance and hinders the gospel . Therefore, believers must use their voice, their vote, and their influence to promote integrity. Advocacy, peaceful protests, and media engagement are righteous acts when done lawfully and for the common good.

Remember: God will judge corrupt rulers (Isaiah 10:1-3). But He also calls us to partner with Him in establishing justice. Rise up, speak out, and let righteousness rule in your land!

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and courage to demand justice and wisdom to act in righteousness, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

GOD HAS WAYS TO BRING ORDER TO A LAWLESS NATION

You shall receive wisdom to put you ahead of the competition because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

GOD HAS WAYS TO BRING ORDER TO A LAWLESS NATION

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

“When the righteous are in authority and become great, the people rejoice; But when the wicked man rules, the people groan and sigh.” – Proverbs 29:2 (AMP)

When a nation is lawless—filled with corruption, violence, and injustice—it may seem like evil will reign forever. But God is never powerless. He has divine strategies to restore order and righteousness.

First, He raises righteous leadership. “When the righteous are in authority…the people rejoice” (Proverbs 29:2). God looks for men and women of integrity, like Joseph and Daniel, to lead with justice and bring peace.

Second, God sends His Word and calls for repentance. “Come now, and let us reason together,” says the LORD (Isaiah 1:18). He warns nations before judgment, giving them a chance to turn back to Him.

If a nation refuses, God purges corruption by judgment. “I will turn My hand against you…and restore your judges as at the first” (Isaiah 1:24-26). Wicked rulers are removed so that godly governance can return.

Sometimes, He uses external or internal pressure to humble nations. In Judges 2:14, God allowed Israel’s enemies to afflict them until they cried out for help. God uses crises to bring people to repentance.

Finally, true order comes when hearts are changed. “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you” (Ezekiel 36:26-27). Laws alone cannot change a nation—only the Spirit of God can transform hearts.

Beloved, if your nation is lawless, do not despair. Pray for righteous leaders, repent where necessary, and ask for a move of the Holy Spirit. God’s plan is not destruction but restoration.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to promote good governance.

Lord, bring order to our land. Raise righteous leaders, purge corruption, and pour out Your Spirit for national revival, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

THE SPIRITUAL CONSEQUENCES OF SUPPORTING BAD LEADERSHIP.

The curse of stagnation and confusion is broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Devotional: THE SPIRITUAL CONSEQUENCES OF SUPPORTING BAD LEADERSHIP.

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

“Then God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the men of Shechem; and the men of Shechem dealt treacherously with Abimelech, that the violence done…MIGHT BE REPAID.” – Judges 9:23-24 (AMP)

“Woe (judgment is coming) to you, destroyer, and you yourself have not been destroyed; and he who is treacherous, while others did not deal treacherously with him! As soon as you finish destroying, you will be destroyed; as soon as you cease dealing treacherously, others will deal treacherously with you. O Lord, be gracious to us; we have waited expectantly for You. Be our strength every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.” – Isaiah 33:1-2 (AMP)

Supporting bad leadership invites destruction. In Judges 9, the people backed Abimelech—a leader who rose through bloodshed. Eventually, God allowed conflict and ruin as judgment. Isaiah 33:1-2 shows a similar principle: those who use treachery will reap treachery. Evil leaders and their supporters will face the consequences of their actions.

When we justify wicked rulers for money, tribal loyalty, or fear, we call evil good (Isaiah 5:20) and share in their guilt (Romans 1:32). Proverbs 29:2 warns that wicked leadership brings groaning and suffering. Hosea 8:4 reminds us that installing leaders without God’s guidance leads to chaos.

As believers, we must seek God’s will, reject compromise, and pray for righteous governance. Our allegiance is first to God, not corrupt systems.

REFLECTION QUESTION:

Am I supporting leaders based on God’s standards of righteousness or on selfish interests?

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to preach righteousness.

Lord, be gracious to us as Isaiah prayed. Forgive us where we have supported unrighteous leadership. Be our strength every morning and our salvation in times of trouble. Help us to choose and support leaders who honor You. Amen.
