Even fools are thought wise when they keep silent;  with their mouths shut, they seem intelligent. "Proverbs 17:28

     The power to build and destroy lies in the tongue ; we are spirits and our words whether audible or inaudible can affect our lives . The woman with the issue of blood was healed by faith expressed through inaudible words . The Bible says " Just then a woman who had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding came up behind him. She touched the fringe of his robe, for she thought, “If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed.” Matthew 9:20‭-‬21 NLTBible. 

  Thoughts are powerful , someone could be poor because of poverty generating thoughts often manifested in the form of unsubstantiated excuses to justify failure . Our thoughts are the products of the information we have received through schools, the military , media and entertainment, religious leaders , family members and close friends . These are the major channels through which human speech and lifestyles are formed. 

     Speaking too much is dangerous " Too much talk leads to sin. Be sensible and keep your mouth shut." Proverbs 10:19 NLTBible it is safer speaking less. Avoid having to be the one to end a discussion except in formal settings . Too much talk results in poverty and marital crisis . The Bible says " In all labor there is profit, But idle chatter leads only to poverty." Proverbs 14:23 NKJV

    Wisdom demands that we think about the consequences of our words before speaking .  " The scriptures says He who answers a matter before he hears it, It is folly and shame to him."  Proverbs 18:13 NKJV and ";So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God."James 1:19‭-‬20 NKJVBible 

      Anger if not dealt with could result in utterances that are regrettable. Many marriages have failed because of hasty speeches . Asking the Holy Spirit to control your speech helps in times of anger (Job6:24a)  . The pressures of life could result in hasty speeches with damaging consequences . Unfortunately, false teachers have taken advantage of this to demand parishioners make financial vows while under pressure." Do not be rash with your mouth, And let not your heart utter anything hastily before God. For God is in heaven, and you on earth; Therefore let your words be few. Do not let your mouth cause your flesh to sin, nor say before the messenger of  God that it was an error. Why should God be angry at your excuse and destroy the work of your hands? Ecclesiastes 5:2‭, ‬6 NKJVBible  

   Making religious or marital vows under

pressure is dangerous and counter productive . It is safer to be quiet , the Bible says  "Whoever guards his mouth and tongue Keeps his soul from troubles." Proverbs 21:23 NKJVBible .

   You must not always speak all that is in your mind " A fool vents all his feelings, But a wise man holds them back." Proverbs 29:11 NKJVBible

Luke 1:1 "]Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us,"

[14]Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

[15]And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

[16]And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

   A major challenge amongst young preachers is to find a mentor whose heart is solely after God and uncorrupted by the world's decaying culture . Most mentors teach their followers that having presidents , kings and other highly placed persons in society as friends and donating to one's ministry is an endorsement from God of one's ministry. In Nigeria such a preacher is said to be operating under great or exceeding grace : meaning he has special powers or grace that's higher than other preachers. This is the reason behind the fall of many prominent preachers . They are proud and living in falsehood : misleading God's people. 

  God's grace does not exist in  sizes and no preacher has more of the anointing than others . We have the same measure of faith (Rom 12:3) and the same anointing ( 1 Corinthians 12:4,5_6,  The Bible says we have the same spirit or anointing of faith in 2Corinthians 4:13) It is the ignorance of this truth that has made many persons fall victims of hustlers who use the Bible to obtain money by false pretences .

   In 1 kings 12 Jeroboam a corrupt king as a strategy to hold on to political power promoted pastors to occupy high places in the kingdom one of which was a corrupt old prophet of the Lord.. Many preachers tend to forget their primary assignment of being the moral compass in the society when they have a taste of tainted wealth. This is the bane of the African and American church . They find it difficult to preach on repentance from sin having been corrupted by the world's system because of greed.

  A young minister was instructed to warn the king in Bethel but unfortunately he fell victim of a common error in mentorship where visions and dreams from the mentor replace the written word of God. God is not  the author of confusion. The Bible cannot be saying one thing and his prophet another. We should always be guided by scriptures , it should be our final authority not our favorite preacher. 

  Preachers are humans and prone to errors. The young preacher was able to overcome bribery from the king but fell to witchcraft by a prophet. Disobedience or rebellion is witchcraft . (1 Samuel 15:23  ) Many preachers like this old prophet use witchcraft to manipulate the minds of their followers using magic,  fame and the love of money as tools. In 1king13:13-24 the young preacher ate forbidden fruit and died . This is why it seems like God does not answer the prayers of God's people for deliverance from oppression by evil men in power .

FIRST THING FIRST

Matthew 6:9-10 "]After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. "

James 4:3 ' Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts." 

  The word ' amiss ' is the Greek word 'kakōs'

It means : badly (physically or morally): diseased evil grievously miserably sick sore.. This is the outcome of praying to fulfil a selfish desire without considering the impact of ones pursuits on the generality of the populace . An example of this is the case of importation of harmful dangerous  nuclear power waste product in to koko community in 1988 disguised as fertilizer in the Niger Delta area of Nigeria that resulted in the pollution of the area with radioactive particles leading to deaths . The death penalty was imposed on anyone who imported such materials by then military government . 

    The African church places much emphasis on selfish prayers that seeks for individual prosperity over community prosperity . This  is not the will of God (Acts 2:44, Acts4:32) Unlike in Europe and Asia where community prosperity is placed above individual prosperity. This is what godly governance results in. Despite their shortcomings, Great Britain  have applied this principle for hundreds of years and it has paid off with them having one of the most stable economies in the world and a strongest currency   and  stock exchange that gives their citizens the economic edge in the world.    As a member of the Anglican church you are made to pray for the King as a defender of the Christian faith and for the strength of the United kingdom . 

   Jesus Christ said as a priority always seek in prayers and corresponding actions  the implementations of God's type of governance in your country's government and for the promotion of a righteous culture in the society and everything shall be added to you. What this means is that every prayer request is connected to godly governance and a righteous culture in the society. 

   Why it seems westerners do not seem to pray like the church in Africa does is because they have been able to put into place very effective  institutions for public welfare .  Ironically , the so-called spiritual African church belongs to the league of underdeveloped nations depending on aid and waste product ( used clothes and other materials collected from waste disposal systems in Europe and America popularly called okrika or tokumbo) to survive. Sadly the raw materials for the production of these products are gotten from Africa. 

  Jesus Christ said to priorities our prayers, first things first, Matthew 6:33 'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. "  Africa will become a major powerhouse when we make it a duty to pray for good governance at all levels ( ward, council, local government areas, States and presidency) a church service is incomplete without praying for good governance. This should be taught in schools from kindergarten level that Godfearing men and women will dominate our family meetings, villages, wards, councils ,local governments , houses of assembly, senate , presidency, judiciary, armed forces and other security agencies  This is the secret   behind the great nations we often celebrate and love to migrate to.

PROPHECIES CONCERNING JESUS CHRIST AND THEIR FULFILMENT (PART 2)

The Jews are gifted with being custodians of most of the historical evidence of both the Christian and Judaism faiths especially those concerning the prophetic records. They were better positioned to authenticate prophetic records through their critique mechanism.

    It was based on this that a  foremost Jewish scholar and high priest predicted that Jesus Christ was the Messiah in John 18:14 'Now Caiaphas was he, which gave counsel to the Jews, that it was expedient that one man should die for the people.'

  It was prophesied in Isaiah 7:14 that Jesus Christ shall be born of a virgin and this was confirmed in Matthew 1:18 "Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost." It was also prophesied in Jeremiah 31:15 that his birth shall result in the massacre of infants . This was fulfilled in

Matthew 2:16  "Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men." This indeed was  a very sad day in Israel. 

  It was also prophesied that Jesus Christ would be taken to Egypt by his foster parents .This was fulfilled in  Matthew 2:14, "When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt:'

 It was also prophesied by the prophet Isaiah in chapter 9:1-2 that Jesus Christ would have his ministry in Galilee and this was fulfilled in 

 Matthew 4:12,14-16 "Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee; That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles; The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up."

  It was prophesied by Moses in Deuteronomy 18:15 that he would be called a prophet and this was confirmed in John 6:14 "Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world."

  It was prophesied in Psalm 110:4 that he come as a priest like Melchizedek and this was fulfilled in Hebrews 6:20 " Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec."

  His rejection by the Jews was prophesied in Isaiah 53:3 and this was confirmed in John 1:11 "He came unto his own, and his own received him not.'

  His triumphal entry into Jerusalem was prophesied in Zech 9:9 .This was fulfilled in John 12:14-15 "And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,  

Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt'."

 These prophesies and others confirmed that Jesus Christ was who he said he was

Prophecies are divinely inspired predictions aimed at authenticating an event or a thing . It is not all predictions that came to pass that are of God. The fact that a prophet correctly predicted a thing does not mean he or she is of God. Wizard or witches have developed the art of peeping into prophetic records and making predictions in line with God's word which came to pass in other to gain the trust of  their victims . The bible says in Isaiah 8:19 "And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead?" This is what the witchcraft art of clairvoyance is all about .  Satan quoted psalm 91 to Jesus Christ in Luke 4:10-11,  False prophets operate under the witchcraft spirit of clairvoyance . Quoting scriptures does not make one a servant of God.

   The distinguishing factor between the witchcraft art of clairvoyance and divine prophecies is that divine prophecies point to righteousness , peace   and joy in the Holy Spirit (Romans 4:17) while clairvoyance is all about boosting the ego of the false prophet . 

   In Genesis 3:16 it was prophesied that Jesus Christ would be the "seed of the woman " this was fulfilled through his virgin birth . The Bible says Galatians 4:4 "But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law," this a confirmation of that prophecy. 

   The Bible also  prophesied in Genesis 18:18 that Jesus 

is the promised seed  of Abraham , this was confirmed in the new testament book of Acts 3:25 'Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed."

  In Genesis 17;19 Jesus Christ was prophesied to be the promised seed of Isaac and this was fulfilled in the record of the genealogy of Jesus in Matthew 1:2 "Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren;" 

  In Numbers 24:17 Jesus Christ is said to be the promised seed of Jacob and this was fulfilled in the record of the genealogy of Jesus in Luke 3:34 "Which was the son of Jacob, which was the son of Isaac, which was the son of Abraham, which was the son of Thara, which was the son of Nachor,"

   In Genesis 49:10 is was prophesied that Jesus Christ would descend from the tribe of Judah and this was fulfilled in the record of the genealogy of Jesus in Luke 3:33 "Which was the son of Aminadab, which was the son of Aram, which was the son of Esrom, which was the son of Phares, which was the son of Juda,'

   In Isaiah 9:7 Jesus Christ is said to be the heir to the throne of David and this was fulfilled in the record of the genealogy of Jesus in Matthew 1:1 "The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.'

 In Micah 5:2 the prophecy was made of the place of Jesus Christ's birth being Bethlehem and this was fulfilled in Matthew 2:1

Matthew 2:1 'Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,'

  It is because of these overwhelming evidence of the authenticity of Jesus Christ as the messiah in the bible that the religious cults of the Antichrist are trying very hard to discredit the bible .

 PRAYING ACCORDING TO GOD'S WILL

"And we will receive from him whatever we ask because we obey him and do the things that please him." 1 John 3:22 NLT

     Prayer is the legal interaction between God and his creation . Animals, plants, demons, Satan pray to God as well as humans ( Christians and non Christians ) God is the father of us all and we depend on him for life. 

     In the book of Job Satan sought permission from God in prayers to strike job likewise before he attacks any human he must seek the legal grounds and present it before God . 

   In the new testament book of 1 Corinthians chapter five Satan was given the license to afflict the young man engaged in a sexual relations with his father's wife . The Bible says in the new testament book of 1 Timothy 1:20 NLT "Hymenaeus and Alexander are two examples. I threw them out and handed them over to Satan so they might learn not to blaspheme God.". This is proof that Satan has a role to play in the church until the rapture . He comes to kill, steal and destroy and always makes legal demands from God before executing justice on a person an example is in Mark 5:12‭-‬13 NLT Bible .  “Send us into those pigs,” the spirits begged. “Let us enter them.” So Jesus gave them permission. The evil spirits came out of the man and entered the pigs, and the entire herd of about 2,000 pigs plunged down the steep hillside into the lake and drowned in the water ".

Jesus Christ knew what the demon's intentions were yet he gave them permission.  The farmers did not reject the demon's prayers and suffered the loss of their pigs. Laziness in prayers opens doors for temptations. 

Jesus is the embodiment of God and the head of all principalities and powers "Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see— such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him." Colossians 1:15‭-‬16 NLT Nothing happens anywhere in the universe without his permission  . If demons can seek permission to destroy someone's source of livelihood , that should give us a picture of the dynamics of prayer .

     Those businessmen in mark 5 did not know their rights and privileges as children of God and loss their case before God and suffered in the hands of the devourer. Prayers is likened to the proceedings in a court room. One must know how to present his or her case before the supreme judge of the universe in the face of much opposition . 

    For this reason  we must be acquainted with the constitutional provisions of God's kingdom as regards believers in Jesus Christ to make a strong case in our prayers . The scriptures says Isaiah 41:21" Produce your cause, saith the Lord; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob." Those demons knew their rights against the spiritually slack  herdsmen "Come, wild animals of the field! Come, wild animals of the forest! Come and devour my people!"For the leaders of my people— the Lord ’s watchmen, his shepherds— are blind and ignorant. They are like silent watchdogs that give no warning when danger comes. They love to lie around, sleeping and dreaming."Isaiah 56:9-10 NLTBible .  Satan

reads the bible too , cults the world over have copies of the scriptures to guide their operations . 

   God wants to grant your heart's desires only if you would pray . ' tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours."

AVOID FAMILY CRISIS

"So my people come pretending to be sincere and sit before you. They listen to your words, but they have no intention of doing what you say. Their mouths are full of lustful words, and their hearts seek only after money."Ezekiel 33:31 NLTBible 

   The oxford English language dictionary defines  Crisis as a time of intense difficulty or danger , a time when a difficult or important decision must be made.

    There are three major reasons for crisis 1) misunderstanding 2) conflicting interest 3) oppression and hostility as in the case of wars .

      God's people were rebuked for their pretentious worship:  it was not sincere . but driven by the love for money . A preacher once said the fastest way to grow a church in Nigeria  is to promise people money during evangelism . I have had many occasions were  I have been asked if I will be willing to pay for church attendance. This is what the state of the church was in Ezekiel's time. With this mindset it will be difficult to have good governance, security  and peaceful marriages in the nation  . There was conflicting interest, God seeks for true worshippers while the worshippers were seeking for money. 

    When preachers lean towards materialism to appeal to public sentiments they will starve the flock. Sound doctrine is rare ;  there is spiritual hunger in the land resulting in a phobia for marriage , spiritual hunger leads to emotional starvation.  The Bible says “Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds, the leaders of Israel. Give them this message from the Sovereign Lord : What sorrow awaits you shepherds who feed yourselves instead of your flocks. Shouldn’t shepherds feed their sheep?Ezekiel 34:2 NLTBible 

The flock is to be fed ,spiritual ,emotional and physical food if need be. Most outbursts are caused by the emotionally starved. Whenever a person feels unloved they become problematic and rebellious.

   The unloved finds it hard to love ,you cannot give what you do not have .To get by,  the unloved resorts to camouflage :acting like all is well while hurting inside .This is the result of hypocritical worship ‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship is a farce, for they teach man-made ideas as commands from God.’ ”Matthew 15:8‭-‬9 NLT Bible.  Hypocritical worship or human traditional worship places the burden of salvation upon man. It teaches that a man is saved by their good deeds: but what is good to one may not be to another. This is the outcome of neglecting God's word in the family. Jesus Christ said .. “Your mistake is that you don’t know the Scriptures, and you don’t know the power of God".Matthew 22:29 NLTBible (Mark7:9,13) 

   One of the reason for the promotion of errors in the teaching of the gospel is the crisis of cathedralism : the belief that God dwells in a physical building or alter, this mindset limits our capacity for productivity outside the perimeter of the cathedral like the old testament believers could not succeed without the ark . This deprives families from experiencing the power of God needed to face life's challenges . The scriptures says  "However, the Most High doesn’t live in temples made by human hands. .."Acts  7:48 NLTBible  The bible says of such persons "They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!"  2 Timothy 3:5 NLTBible. God is in you and expects you seek for his guidance in your relationships.

Prayer : Heavenly father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation , I receive him as lord and savior and receive the Holy Ghost and power to restore broken families in Jesus name.
