Good -Life Devotional: FRAUDSTERS AND LIARS SHALL ENTER THE LAKE OF FIRE

   Modern society often celebrates people who become wealthy through deception, internet scams, false business practices, bribery, tax fraud, or manipulation. Some even claim that because salvation is by grace, such sins no longer matter. The Scriptures say otherwise.

   Revelation 21:8 declares that "the fearful, and unbelieving... murderers, whoremongers, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone." Every act of fraud depends on falsehood. Therefore, those who persist in deceit without repentance place themselves under God's judgment.

    Paul warns in 1 Corinthians 6:9–10 that thieves, extortioners, and swindlers shall not inherit the kingdom of God. This warning is not against those who have genuinely repented, but against those who practice such sins as a lifestyle.

    The grace of God is a teacher of holiness, not a covering for wickedness. Titus 2:11–12 says grace instructs believers to deny ungodliness. Likewise, Romans 6:1–2 asks, "Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid."

   God requires honesty in every area of life. Leviticus 19:11 commands, "You shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another." Proverbs 11:1 declares that dishonest scales are an abomination to the Lord, while Micah 6:11 condemns fraudulent weights and measures. Luke 19:8–9 shows true repentance through Zacchaeus, who restored what he had fraudulently taken.

    The gospel transforms thieves into faithful stewards. Those who truly know Christ forsake dishonest gain and pursue righteousness. Heaven is prepared for those washed, sanctified, and justified in Christ who continue to walk in obedience (1 Corinthians 6:11; Hebrews 12:14).

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive Him as Lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to promote godliness. Father, cleanse my heart from every form of deceit. Help me to live honestly, reject false gain, and finish my race in holiness so that I may inherit Your eternal kingdom, through Jesus Christ. Amen.
