Scripture: Psalm 89:29–33
   God’s righteousness is personal, and His judgment is perfectly just. Scripture does not teach that a child automatically becomes guilty before God because of the sins of his parents, nor does it teach that a parent’s righteousness can be transferred to a child’s account.
   Psalm 89:29–33 speaks of David’s descendants and shows an important distinction: even though God promised to establish David’s seed, He would still discipline those descendants who forsook His ways. The covenant blessing did not remove their personal responsibility before God.
    There is an erroneous theology that teaches that children must suffer an “ancestral curse” because of the sins of their forefathers. This conflicts with God’s judicial principle. Ezekiel 18:20 declares that “the soul that sinneth, it shall die”; the son does not bear the iniquity of the father, and the father does not bear the iniquity of the son.
    Job’s righteousness did not become a substitute for his children’s personal relationship with God. David’s righteousness could not save Absalom from the consequences of his own choices. Each person ultimately stands accountable before God.
    Parents should therefore teach their children the fear of God, model righteousness, pray for them, and lead them toward Christ. But when a child reaches moral and spiritual accountability, he or she must personally choose to follow Jesus Christ.
   Romans 10:9 reminds us that salvation involves personal faith and confession. Our parents cannot believe for us, just as their righteousness cannot redeem our souls.

Lord, help me to live righteously and teach my children Your ways. May each generation personally choose Christ, walk in obedience, and experience the freedom of His redemption. Amen.

  When Proverbs speaks about the “rod of correction,” it should not be understood as permission for parents to hurt, frighten, or abuse a child. Rather, the rod can be understood as a biblical picture of firm authority, correction, boundaries, consequences, and loving discipline.
    Children are still learning and developing judgment. Because they lack the experience of adults, they may sometimes act foolishly or stubbornly. Proverbs 22:15 reminds us that foolishness is bound up in a child’s heart, while Proverbs 23:13–14 emphasizes the importance of disciplined correction. Parents and guardians therefore have a responsibility to correct wrongdoing rather than ignore it.
   Nonviolent discipline may include clearly explaining what was wrong, setting reasonable boundaries, removing privileges, assigning appropriate consequences, requiring an apology or restitution, and consistently reinforcing good behaviour. Such discipline should be administered calmly, fairly, and with love—not through anger, humiliation, threats, or physical harm.
    The purpose of correction is restoration, instruction, and character formation, not punishment for punishment’s sake. A child should understand that discipline is an expression of love and concern for his or her future.
    God Himself disciplines those He loves (Hebrews 12:6). Therefore, parents should imitate His loving purpose: correct firmly, discipline wisely, and never abuse the child entrusted to their care.

Lord, give parents  wisdom, patience, and self-control to discipline their children firmly and lovingly, so that correction produces wisdom, character, and righteousness. Amen.

Good-Life Devotional: WITHHOLDING THE ROD OF CORRECTION LEADS TO DISASTER

“Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die.” — Proverbs 15:10

    Correction is one of God’s instruments for preserving our lives and guiding us toward righteousness. Proverbs 15:10 gives a serious warning: those who reject correction and hate reproof place themselves on a destructive path. Therefore, we should learn to appreciate correction rather than despise it, because godly correction is intended for our good.

    Children are still developing wisdom, understanding, and experience. They do not always recognize the consequences of their choices. Proverbs 22:15 teaches that foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child, and Proverbs 23:13–14 instructs parents not to withhold appropriate discipline. The “rod” represents firm, purposeful discipline—not cruelty, abuse, or uncontrolled anger. Discipline should correct behaviour, establish boundaries, and teach responsibility.

   Parents and guardians should therefore not be afraid to give children stern but loving correction when necessary. When foolishness, stubbornness, or persistent disobedience is tolerated, those behaviours can become destructive patterns in adulthood. Proper discipline helps remove them while there is still opportunity to teach the child.

    The same principle applies to our relationship with God. “For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth” (Hebrews 12:6). God disciplines those He loves because He desires their maturity and righteousness.

REFLECTION: Do I receive correction with gratitude, or do I resist it because of pride?

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive Him as Lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to embrace discipline. 

   Father, give me a teachable heart and wisdom to discipline children with love, patience, firmness, and godly understanding. Help us never to confuse discipline with anger or abuse. Amen.

Texts: Colossians 1:28; Hebrews 6:1
   Christian perfection requires intentional spiritual growth. Paul declared that his ministry was to “warn every man, and teach every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus” (Colossians 1:28). The goal of Christian ministry is therefore not merely to produce church members but mature disciples who increasingly resemble Christ.
    This maturity is developed through prayer. Epaphras laboured fervently in prayer that believers might “stand perfect and complete in all the will of God” (Colossians 4:12). It also comes through the study and application of Scripture. 2 Timothy 3:16–17 teaches that Scripture equips the believer for every good work. God’s Word corrects, trains, instructs, and brings spiritual completeness.
   Suffering can also contribute to maturity. Hebrews 2:10 speaks of Christ being made perfect through sufferings—not because He was morally sinful, but because suffering completed His appointed experience and mission as the Captain of our salvation. Trials can similarly develop endurance and maturity in believers (James 1:2–4).
  Hebrews 6:1 therefore says, “Let us go on unto perfection.” We must not remain permanently at the elementary stage of faith.
Hebrews 7:11–19 further teaches that the Levitical priesthood and its law could not bring people to perfection. Religious devotion, rituals, ceremonies, and outward observances cannot accomplish what Christ accomplishes within us. They  cannot guarantee entrance into heaven because only the perfect will enter heaven . We are made perfect in Jesus Christ ( Hebrews 12:22-24)
   True perfection is Christ-centered maturity produced through the Word, prayer, obedience, perseverance, and the transforming work of the Holy Spirit.
REFLECTION: Are you merely practising Christianity, or are you growing into the maturity of Christ?
PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive Him as Lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to live in holiness . Father, help me grow into spiritual maturity. Through Your Word, prayer, obedience, and perseverance, form Christ in me and make me complete in Your will. Amen.

HOW THE POWER OF GOD WORKS

- If yo u pick up a balloon, you have air in and outside of the balloon.

The human body according to the word is a vessel. When you blow into the balloon, you take air from the surroundings and put into the balloon, giving it shape and purpose.

If you release the balloon’s mouth, it makes a sound, which is energy and power being released, not by the balloon, but the air inside the balloon. That is how speaking in tongues works.

Romans 12 (How to operate in the supernatural)

Holiness is needed to operate in the supernatural:

Surrender your self to be used by God. Anything you do must reflect a person set apart to be used by God. You cannot want that and you own a brothel; you must go from room to room, telling your girls to repent. That is the reason that you have that hotel for. 

Do not conform to this world:

Don’t do things their way if you want to work in the supernatural. The fact that something is bringing you money, does not make it good or right. If that was the case, we should all be terrorists.

Know now that anything that comes out of your mouth, you will experience it. One of the ways Satan works through people these days is through music; songs these days have negative lyrics, and by singing them, you become victim to what you sing.

2 TIMOTHY 3 

2Ti 3:1  This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 

2Ti 3:2  For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 

2Ti 3:3  Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 

2Ti 3:4  Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 

2Ti 3:5  Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 

PRIDE (2 Timothy 3:2)

“Do you know who I am?”

DISOBEDIENCE (2 Timothy 3:2)

No respect for parents. Just the same way a person can be an accomplice to a crime, a pastor can be an accomplice to a sin. Children used to be raised by the community in Africa, we have to go back to that, as things were okay then. The bible says that a child allowed to have their way will bring shame to their family. You must watch out for your friends’ children and spouse. 

Disobedient children, wives, husbands are not under the protection of the angels of their parents.

“Pro 29:1  He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.

This shows that the devil can take those children at any time.

Psa 103:20  Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. 

Angels of God only protect people that obey God’s Word. 

Eph 6:1  Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. 

Eph 6:2  Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) 

Eph 6:3  That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. 

Eph 6:4  And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord

According to Ps 103, the angels are the ones working the miracles. If you disobey God’s word, they will withdraw and YOU will have to work your own miracles. What they touch will scatter because Satan has access to them. The phrase “MAY be well” is attached to the previous condition. The word well means that the opposite of this sickness; that disobedient child will constantly be sick.

1Jn 5:18  We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. 

He that is born of God that sinneth (disobedience of God’s Word); the evil one will touch that one. This means that most of the things we pray for, they brought it upon them.

UNTHANKFUL (2 Timothy 3:2)

If someone does something good for you, you thank them.

UNHOLY (2 Timothy 3:2)

This word means wicked and negative practice.

INCONTINENT (2 Timothy 3:2)

Without self-control. 

DESPISERS OF THOSE THAT ARE GOOD (2 Timothy 3:3)

Any pastor that preaches righteousness, you automatically start hating that person.

HEADY (2 Timothy 3:4)

“I go tell you say my head strong pass your head”

HIGHMINDED (2 Timothy 3:4)

“I need to drop in that place with Rolls-Royce”

LOVERS OF PLEASURE (2 Timothy 3:4)

If you prefer party over church, or you fix your secular program on a Sunday. God wants you to have fun… That leads people to God. Does that party in your nightclub end with prayer?

But be ye transformed by renewing of your mind: 

Christianity is an extreme thing: Is there a partial righteousness or holiness? No? Nigeria is going crazy because we have stopped preaching on holiness. Revelations 3 says that “you are neither hot nor cold”; this means that there are two extremes. It is either you are hot or cold, you cannot mix the two.

Nigerians should work with their eyes open, asking for evidence:

Jesus healed a boy that was born blind, and the parents were there to confirm. When that pastor says that they have healed a person of arthritis, ask for evidence.

PREACH EVERYWHERE

Mar 16:15  And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 

Mar 16:16  He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 

Mar 16:17  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 

Mar 16:18  They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. 

Mar 16:19  So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. 

Mar 16:20  And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen. 

The Signs

Once you move, the power will follow. Anointing follows you; it is waiting for you to take action first and foremost. “They went forth”; when will you start moving?

- Cast out devils: Every christian that believes in Jesus can cast out devils. So why are there deliverance ministries and the people that go the

- Speak in new tongues.

- They shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover: Damn the consequences and lay hands on those that are sick around you with the understanding that Christ has given you the power to heal them. For that voice in your head from Satan asking you “What if it doesn’t work?” Reply back with “What if it DOES?”

Generator room, night club, house of assembly? Do all of these belong to everywhere? If so, they are valid places to preach.

TOPIC: THE POWER OF GOD AS IN THE DAYS OF OLD (3)

THE POWER OF GOD AND ANGELS

- You must learn to use the power of God like you drive a car. 

- God’s angels are always around the born-again christian but a lot of people are not only unaware, but don’t know how to communicate with them.

- The psalmists say they “harken unto His commandments and do his Word”. Hebrews says to show kindness to people, because some of them may be angels.

- Anytime you live in disobedience to God’s Word AND the pastor that He has assigned to you, ALL of your angels will be withdrawn. Thus the only thing that is saving you from being targeted by Satan is the prayer of a christian close to you.

- In the book of Acts, the people were acquainted with angels; Peter was not the one at the door, it was his ANGEL.

- Never assume you do not have an enemy. 24 hours a day, your existence annoys people; they will always wish you dead or worse. Then read the book of Psalms like King David was given to read by God. Then read Psalm 35 everyday, so that noone takes your life. 

- The world is getting more and more wicked; the person Satan will use to destroy you will be someone you care for.

- Experience comes from constant usage. Your born-again pastor is not more blessed than you; they simply have more experience working n God’s word.

PROTECTING YOURSELF

Psa 35:1  A Psalm of David. Plead my cause, O LORD, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me. 

Psa 35:2  Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help. 

Psa 35:3  Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute me: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation. 

Psa 35:4  Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt. 

-- Anyone that hates you for the right things you do in line with God’s word, it can cost that person their life. (1) 

-- Both God and Satan have/had spears. When Christ was crucified, he took all of Satan’s weaponry, as all power in Heaven, on earth and below the earth belongs to Him. So do not believe any deception saying that Satan is powerful against christians. (3)

-- “Stop the way” That is why you can tell that vehicle to stop and it will stop. (3)

-- Do not wait for the trouble to come for you to pray. King David’s best friend was Jonathan, a man said to love him more than a man loved a woman. But when Saul decided to kill David, family affiliation was stronger than friendship, and Jonathan joined in to kill his best friend. An this very Psalm was what killed him.

-- The word confounded here means delayed. God can keep someone barren and can keep someone from being married or finding a job for 30 years. No matter how hard they try, as long as they are fighting against the righteous, they will remain stagnant until they repent. (4)

-- “Put to shame” Any small person can come up to you and insult you without consequences. (4)

-- “Turned back” All your mates have gone far ahead of you, but you will be going backwards in life. (4)

-- Someone right now is sitting down and thinking of how best to harm you (4)

- Do not allow anyone to harm you. If someone wants to take your life, and the person means it and is fully intending to do so, protect yourself. The power of old was so much that prophets were feared. 

- Before you follow a christian, check their relationship with both of their parents. If it is not good for BOTH of them, stay away. You are your father’s sperm, and mother’s egg. If you hate them, you hate yourself. If you curse them, you have cursed yourself. “Honor your father and mother, so you may live long”.

- Why is it that we ascribe supernatural things, victory, power, breakthrough, you ascribe to Satan. But you ascribe things such as failure and a lack of progress to Christians? Do you not believe that Moses, Elijah, Ezekiel, JESUS existed? That means that you are not born again. Don’t you know that there are over 22k manuscripts and works that show that Jesus existed? What about the historian Josephus, who made accounts directly saying that he was present during the crucifixion?

STRANGE CHILDREN

2Sa 14:29  Therefore Absalom sent for Joab, to have sent him to the king; but he would not come to him: and when he sent again the second time, he would not come. 

2Sa 14:30  Therefore he said unto his servants, See, Joab's field is near mine, and he hath barley there; go and set it on fire. And Absalom's servants set the field on fire. 

-- There are people that get attention through evil or doing bad. This is the first step to practicing witchcraft. That is what Eve did to get God’s attention as she and Adam were not on good terms (Is it not THIS WOMAN you have given me?), and is what Satan noticed when he came to her in the Garden of Eden.

-- For context; Absalom was King David’s son who murdered his step-brother who raped his sister and ran out of town. Joab made an argument to bring him home, and David had him kept away from him for a time.

While he was away from him, Absalom made friends with strange children, and they told him to get Joab’s attention by burning his fields.

Joab was the Chief-of-Staff and was the one who was able to get Absalom to his father. He refused to disobey his given orders, and so Absalom’s friends advised him to burn the man’s fields to get his attention. 

Psa 144:5  Bow thy heavens, O LORD, and come down: touch the mountains, and they shall smoke. 

Psa 144:6  Cast forth lightning, and scatter them: shoot out thine arrows, and destroy them. 

Psa 144:7  Send thine hand from above; rid me, and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of strange children; 

Psa 144:8  Whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood. 

Psa 144:10  It is he that giveth salvation unto kings: who delivereth David his servant from the hurtful sword. 

Psa 144:11  Rid me, and deliver me from the hand of strange children, whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood: 

Psa 144:12  That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace: 

-- “Troubled Waters” means problems you cannot handle. Where do they come from? Strange children.

- If your child is misbehaving they have connected to a strange child.

- There are people that had their own dedication to demonic forces. 

- What attracts your child to those people? Vanity. It is christian character that gives you peace, not a car that is nothing more than plastic, rubber, wood and metal. Not money that is nothing more than paper and ink. (8)

- One does not measure wealth by money, but by the good relationship and commitment that you have with your parents and the connections they have.

- It is when you drive that fancy car you have and hit a cultist’s car, and the next thing you know you find yourself in a forest and cannot call your mother and father, that you will know what you have done to yourself.

- The reason why your son is doing drugs is because he has a druggie friend close to him that Satan has sent to him. A friend that drives a big car that introduced it to him. So as a parent, if you notice your child begins to swerve, pray for these strange children to be removed (12)

- The prosperity of your children will bring about the prosperity of the family. There are people spending all their money treating a person in prison or rehab or in an asylum somewhere because of drugs or alcohol. (12)

BE PERFECT, EVEN AS YOUR FATHER IS PERFECT

Good -Life Devotional: BE PERFECT, EVEN AS YOUR FATHER IS PERFECT

Text: Matthew 5:48; Matthew 19:21

  Jesus said, “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect” (Matthew 5:48). Biblical perfection does not mean that a Christian becomes incapable of making mistakes or becomes equal to God in His absolute perfection. It speaks of spiritual maturity, completeness, and wholehearted devotion to God.

   In Matthew 19:21, Jesus challenged the rich young ruler to overcome his attachment to earthly wealth: “Sell that thou hast, and give to the poor... and come and follow me.” The issue was not merely possessing riches but allowing riches to possess the heart. A disciple must be willing to use his resources in serving God and humanity rather than making material wealth his master.

   Luke 8:14 warns that the cares, riches, and pleasures of life can choke the word, preventing spiritual maturity and fruitfulness. An unhealthy desire for riches can therefore hinder our pursuit of Christlike perfection.

   Paul says, “Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect” (1 Corinthians 2:6). This indicates that there were believers who had reached a measure of spiritual maturity. Likewise, Paul exhorted the church to be perfect or mature: “Be perfect” (2 Corinthians 13:11), and Philippians 3:15 says, “Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded.”

   Perfection is therefore a Christian journey. We continually surrender our desires, possessions, ambitions, and character to Christ until His nature is increasingly reflected in us.

REFLECTION: What possesses your heart—Christ or material things?

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive Him as Lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation. Lord Jesus, deliver me from every attachment that hinders my spiritual maturity. Teach me to use my resources for Your glory and the good of others. Amen.

THE PERFECTING OF THAT WHICH IS LACKING IN YOUR FAITH

Text: 1 Thessalonians 3:10

Paul wrote, “Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith.” Faith is not something we receive merely to remain at the same level; we grow in faith as we learn, obey, endure, and walk with God.

    The Greek word translated “perfect” in 1 Thessalonians 3:10 is καταρτίζω (katartizō), Strong’s G2675, meaning to mend, restore, repair, complete, equip, or make fully prepared. Paul desired to supply what was incomplete in the believers’ understanding and practice of faith. This does not mean their faith was false; rather, there were areas that needed strengthening and completion.

    God has therefore given the Church spiritual leaders and teachers. Ephesians 4:11–13 says Christ gave apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers “for the perfecting of the saints.” Their ministry is intended to equip believers for service and bring them toward spiritual maturity.

   The early disciples also learned by observation and fellowship. John testified concerning Jesus: “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes… and our hands have handled” (1 John 1:1–3). They learned by hearing Christ, watching His life, and participating in His ministry.

Therefore, never despise instruction, correction, discipleship, or godly examples. Identify what is lacking in your faith and allow the Holy Spirit, through Scripture and sound spiritual leadership, to strengthen and mature you.

Scripture: Romans 5:17
  “For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.”
  The crisis experienced in the world can be traced to humanity’s fall in Adam. Through Adam’s disobedience to God’s command, sin entered the human experience, and death began to reign (Romans 5:12) through his corrupted bloodline and  genes . Adam surrendered his God-given authority through disobedience, choosing the devil’s deception over God’s word. Yet God did not leave humanity without hope. Through Jesus Christ, grace has been abundantly provided.
   Grace is God’s divine influence working in us and for us, enabling us to reign in life. It is not merely the power to barely survive; it empowers us to live victoriously according to God’s purpose.
   Isaac demonstrated this principle in Genesis 26:12–14. In a time of famine, Isaac sowed and received a hundredfold harvest because the Lord blessed him. His circumstances did not determine the outcome; God’s grace enabled him to prosper.
  The Macedonian believers likewise demonstrated abundant grace. Though experiencing severe trials and deep poverty, they gave generously beyond what might naturally have been expected (2 Corinthians 8:1–5).    Their abundance was not merely material—it was the overflow of God’s grace working within them.
   Paul declares, “God is able to make all grace abound toward you” (2 Corinthians 9:8). Therefore, do not define your life by limitations. Receive God’s abundant grace and allow it to produce faith, generosity, strength, fruitfulness, and victory.

James 4:6 (AMP) — “But He gives us more and more grace [throughout each stage of our life]. That is why He says, ‘GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD AND HUMBLES THEM, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE .’”
    The statement “He gives more grace” must be understood within the context of James 4. James was addressing quarrels, worldly desires, pride, and spiritual compromise. The answer to these struggles is not a hierarchy of believers possessing different levels of divine anointing, but the abundant sufficiency of God’s grace.
   The Greek phrase is :meizona charin' . The word 'meizona' is the comparative form related to 'μέγας' (megas, Strong’s G3173), meaning great, large, or abundant. Thus, “more grace” emphasizes that God's grace is greater than the pressures, temptations, weaknesses, and conflicts confronting His people.
   It should therefore not be used to claim that one Christian has a superior class of grace or a higher spiritual status than another believer. Scripture teaches that every believer receives grace through Christ, while spiritual gifts and ministries differ according to God’s sovereign purpose (Romans 12:6; 1 Corinthians 12:4–7).
   The issue James emphasizes is humility. God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. Grace is not a badge of spiritual superiority; it is God's sufficient help for those who depend upon Him.
REFLECTION: When we humble ourselves before God, His grace is greater than our weakness and stronger than the world's pressure.

Texts: Galatians 5:19–21; 2 Timothy 3:1–5; Romans 1:25–31
    The Bible gives us practical signs by which carnality can be recognised. 2 Timothy 3:1–5 describes people who become lovers of themselves, lovers of money, proud, unthankful, unholy, without self-control, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God, and outwardly religious while denying the transforming power of godliness.
  Romans 1:25–31 adds another serious warning: rejecting God's truth can lead to distorted values, dishonourable passions, unrighteousness, greed, envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness and disobedience. These passages show that carnality is not merely about particular sinful acts. It involves a fundamental orientation away from the Creator and towards self, creation and sinful desire.
   From an apologetic perspective, this challenges the idea that morality can simply be reduced to whatever human beings prefer. Christianity grounds moral truth in the character and authority of God. If God is the Creator, humanity is accountable to Him rather than being its own ultimate moral authority.
   Yet the gospel offers hope. Romans 8 does not merely condemn carnality; it points us toward the Spirit. Romans 8:6 says that spiritual-mindedness produces “life and peace.”
REFLECTION
Am I becoming more controlled by God's Spirit, or increasingly controlled by pleasure, pride, money, anger and self-interest? Is my Christianity transforming my character?

Text: Romans 8:6–8
“For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace… So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.” — Romans 8:6, 8 KJV
   Paul is not merely describing a person's outward behaviour; he is exposing the direction of the mind and heart. The carnal mind is governed by the desires, values and reasoning of fallen human nature rather than submission to God.
   This also has an apologetic significance. Christianity does not claim that every human desire or moral preference is automatically a reliable guide to truth. Scripture explains why human beings can know something about God yet suppress that truth. Romans 1:25 says they “changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator.” The problem is therefore not simply lack of information; it can be a deliberate reorientation of the heart away from God.
   Paul gives practical evidence of this condition in Galatians 5:19–21: sexual immorality, impurity, hatred, jealousy, anger, selfish ambition, divisions, envy, drunkenness and similar works of the flesh.
   A carnal mind may still be religious, intelligent, successful or socially respected. What distinguishes it is that self becomes the authority instead of God.
REFLECTION:
What governs my decisions—God's Word or my desires? Do I merely profess Christ, or does His Spirit govern my life?

Father, search my heart and expose every area controlled by the flesh. Renew my mind through Your Word and help me walk by Your Spirit. Let my thoughts, desires and decisions honour You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

“Lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.” — 2 Timothy 3:4
   Paul describes a dangerous condition that would characterize the last days. The problem is not that pleasure exists, but that pleasure becomes more important than God. The Greek expression 'philēdonoi' means “lovers of pleasure,” while 'mallon' means “more” or “rather than.”    Paul warns against a heart that chooses self-gratification over devotion and obedience to God.
    Jesus warned, “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also” (Matthew 6:21). The question is not, “Can I enjoy this?” but, “Does this enjoyment draw me closer to God or gradually take His place?”
    God is not against legitimate enjoyment. “God…giveth us richly all things to enjoy” (1 Timothy 6:17). Family, food, recreation, possessions, and celebrations can be received with thanksgiving. The issue is priority.
PRACTICAL SIGNS OF MISPLACED PLEASURE
+You consistently choose entertainment over prayer, Bible reading, or fellowship with God.
+You spend more time pursuing comfort than pursuing spiritual growth.
+You become irritated when something interferes with your enjoyment but remain unconcerned when your relationship with God is neglected.
+You spend freely on personal pleasures but struggle to give  your new testament tithes (1corinthians 16:1-2 Galatians 6:6) ) to God and help others.
+You compromise biblical convictions because you do not want to miss an experience or satisfy a desire.
+Your happiness depends more on possessions, entertainment, relationships, food, or social approval than on God.
+You have time for what you enjoy but continually claim you have no time for God.
+You seek God's blessings more passionately than you seek God Himself.
   Job's children enjoyed feasting together (Job 1:4–5) , but Job remained concerned about their relationship with God, and they unfortunately became easy prey to the devil . Pleasure becomes dangerous when God's gifts become greater to us than the Giver.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as Lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation. Lord, help me enjoy Your blessings without allowing them to replace You. May You remain my greatest treasure and highest love. Amen.

Text: Ephesians 2:1–2
“Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins. You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world.” — Ephesians 2:1–2
   Paul's description of humanity as “dead” in sin is not a claim that unbelievers are physically lifeless. It describes spiritual separation from God and humanity's inability to restore that broken relationship through human effort alone.
   From an apologetics perspective, this challenges the idea that morality is merely a human invention. Human beings possess a moral awareness, yet repeatedly violate the standards they recognize. We can know what is right and still choose what is wrong. Scripture explains this contradiction through the reality of sin.
   Paul also speaks of “the course of this world” and “the prince of the power of the air.” Christianity therefore presents evil as more than individual wrongdoing. There are spiritual powers opposed to God's purposes. Yet Scripture does not teach that Satan is God's equal. Satan is a created being, while God alone is sovereign Creator.
   The Christian answer to humanity's spiritual condition is not education, philosophy, wealth, religion, or self-improvement alone. It is reconciliation with God through Jesus Christ. The gospel announces that those who were spiritually dead can be made alive by God's grace. Therefore, Christianity is not merely a system of moral advice. It is God's answer to humanity's deepest problem: separation from Him because of sin.
REFLECTION: If sin has separated humanity from God, Christ is not merely an example to admire; He is the Saviour whom sinners need.

“Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard.” — Proverbs 13:15 KJV
   A transgressor is one who crosses a forbidden boundary, deliberately departing from God’s righteous ways. Scripture says such a path is hard because rebellion against God eventually produces painful consequences—guilt, broken relationships, confusion, loss of peace, and spiritual emptiness.
   A person may possess material riches and still live a miserable life. Psalm 73 shows that the wicked may prosper outwardly, yet prosperity does not automatically produce peace or fellowship with God. Ecclesiastes 2:26 teaches that God gives wisdom, knowledge, and joy to the person who pleases Him, while the sinner’s accumulated wealth may eventually be transferred to one who pleases God.
   Jesus described a spiritually compromised condition in Revelation 3:16–17 as lukewarm, miserable, poor, blind, and naked. Sin can make a person wealthy in possessions but impoverished in the soul.
    In contrast, obedience to Christ brings true blessedness. “Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them” (Psalm 119:165). Jesus said, “If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love… These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full” (John 15:10–11).
   Luke 11:28 says, “Blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.” The Greek word 'makarios' describes a person who is blessed, fortunate, and genuinely happy in God.
REFLECTION: What areas of the scriptures are you knowingly transgressing, ask the lord to help you obey his word like King prayed in Psalms 119:35 'Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight.

Lord Jesus, deliver me from every path of rebellion. Give me grace to obey Your Word, walk in wisdom, and enjoy the peace and joy that come from pleasing You. Amen.

HE WHO HARDENS HIS NECK OFTEN

   “He that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.” — Proverbs 29:1 KJV
   A person who continually rejects correction is travelling a dangerous road. To “harden the neck” means to become stubborn, resistant, and unwilling to listen, even after repeated warnings. God’s correction is not designed to destroy us but to turn us away from destructive paths.
    Proverbs 13:18 declares, “Poverty and shame shall be to him that refuseth instruction: but he that regardeth reproof shall be honoured.” Refusing instruction can eventually produce consequences that could have been avoided through humility.
   Scripture repeatedly calls us to listen. Proverbs 12:1 says, “Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish.” Hebrews 12:11 reminds us that correction may be painful at the moment, but it can produce “the peaceable fruit of righteousness” in those who are trained by it.
   Even King David understood the value of correction: “Let the righteous smite me; it shall be a kindness” (Psalm 141:5). A wise person does not automatically reject correction simply because it is uncomfortable.
   God may correct us through His Word, the Holy Spirit, godly counsel, circumstances, or people He places around us. The question is not whether we will ever be corrected, but whether we will humble ourselves and respond.
REFLECT: Am I repeatedly resisting correction in any area of my life?
PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive Him as Lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to affect positive changes in my life .
Lord, give me a humble and teachable heart. Deliver me from stubbornness and pride. Help me to receive correction, obey Your Word, and walk in righteousness. In Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.

“My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD, nor detest His correction.” — Proverbs 3:11 NKJV
  God’s correction is an expression of His love, not a declaration of His rejection. The word “chastening” carries the idea of discipline, instruction, correction, and training. God does not correct us to destroy us; He corrects us to transform us.
Hebrews 12:5–6 reminds us: “My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD… For whom the LORD loves He chastens.” A loving father does not allow his child to continue walking toward danger without correction. In the same way, God sometimes uses His Word, the Holy Spirit, godly counsel, circumstances, or even the consequences of our wrong choices to bring us back to the right path.
   To despise God's chastening is to resist correction, become bitter, ignore conviction, or justify our wrong actions. Some people want God's blessings but reject His discipline. They want comfort without correction and promotion without character. But spiritual maturity requires that we allow God to deal with what is wrong in us.
   When God corrects you, do not harden your heart. Ask, “Lord, what are You teaching me? What must I change?” Proverbs 12:1 says, “Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid.”
   Remember, God's discipline is designed to produce “the peaceable fruit of righteousness” (Hebrews 12:11).
PRACTICAL FAITH APPLICATION:
  When corrected by Scripture or godly counsel, resist defensiveness. Pray, examine your heart, repent where necessary, and obey what God reveals.

Father, give me a humble and teachable heart. Help me never to despise Your correction. When You discipline me, let me respond with repentance, obedience, and faith, so that my life may produce the fruit of righteousness. In Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.

“Let the righteous smite me; it shall be a kindness: and let him reprove me; it shall be an excellent oil.” — Psalm 141:5 KJV
  Correction is not always rejection; sometimes, it is love wearing a difficult face. David prayed that when a righteous person corrected him, he would receive it as kindness rather than an insult.
   To “smite” in this context does not mean physical violence. It speaks of a loving rebuke, honest counsel, or sharp correction intended to turn someone away from error. A person who truly loves you will not always tell you what you want to hear. Sometimes, the greatest kindness is telling you the truth that you would rather avoid.
    David compared such correction to “excellent oil.” In biblical times, oil was associated with honour, refreshment, healing, and hospitality. In the same way, godly correction may initially hurt our pride, but it can ultimately refresh our character, restore our direction, and protect our destiny.
   Proverbs 27:6 says, “Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.” Flattery can make us comfortable while error destroys us, but faithful correction can save us from consequences we cannot yet see.
    A humble heart does not despise correction. Proverbs 9:9 says, “Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser.” The wise person asks, “What can I learn from this?” rather than, “Who are you to correct me?”
REFLECT: Can you receive correction from a godly person without becoming defensive? Is there someone whose honest counsel you have rejected because it wounded your pride?
In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word a humble heart that is open to correction.

Help me recognize godly correction as an expression of love. Deliver me from pride, defensiveness, and destructive flattery. Make me wiser through righteous counsel, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

LOVE FOR ALL BELIEVERS — EVIDENCE OF FAITH IN CHRIST

  “For this reason I too, having heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people…” — Ephesians 1:15
    Paul rejoiced that the Ephesians’ faith in Jesus Christ was accompanied by their love for all the saints. Likewise, Colossians 1:4 says, “Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love which you have for all the saints.” Their love was visible evidence that their faith was genuine.
   We are saved by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8–9), but genuine faith does not remain alone. Faith expresses itself through love (Galatians 5:6). Therefore, love for Christ must produce love for His people. A person cannot genuinely claim to love the Head while deliberately hating His body, the Church. Jesus said, “By this all people will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another” (John 13:35). They loved fellowship with the brethren . Sinners hate attending church meetings (Isaiah 26:10,  1John2:19)
  John makes it even stronger: “The one who does not love his brother remains in spiritual death” (1 John 3:14). And 1 John 4:20 asks how someone can claim to love God while hating his brother.
    Jude warns that “mockers” would arise among God’s people (Jude 17–19). The Greek word is ἐμπαῖκται (empaiktai), meaning mockers, scoffers, or those who ridicule sacred things, they have no respect for preachers , grumble and laugh at them . They are described as “worldly people”—Greek ψυχικοί (psychikoi), meaning soulish, natural, or governed by merely human desires rather than the Holy Spirit. Jude says they are “devoid of the Spirit.”
PRACTICAL FAITH APPLICATION

Scripture: “He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers.” — Nahum 1:4
   Creation is not God's master; God is Master over creation. The sea, rivers, mountains, winds and every force of nature are subject to the authority of their Creator. Nahum 1:4 declares that God can rebuke the sea and dry up the rivers. Isaiah 44:27 similarly records God's command to the deep: “Be dry.” This will occur in regions where the seas and rivers are worshipped.
   But the New Testament reveals something even more profound: Jesus Christ exercises authority over creation. When Jesus was in the boat with His disciples, a great storm arose. He “rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm” (Mark 4:39). The disciples responded, “What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him!” (Mark 4:41).
   Christ's authority over the sea reveals His divine authority as the Son of God. John 1:3 declares, “All things were made by him.” Colossians 1:16 likewise teaches that all things were created through Him and for Him. The One through whom creation came into existence is Lord over creation.
   Jesus Christ dwells inside of you right now if you are born again ( 1 Corinthians 3:16 , Colossians 1:27 ) When your circumstances look as overwhelming as a raging sea, remember who Jesus is. The storm may be greater than your strength, but it is never greater than His authority.
PRACTICAL FAITH APPLICATIONS
1. Trust Christ in overwhelming circumstances.
  When life feels like a raging storm, do not allow fear to become greater than your faith. Bring the situation to Jesus and remember that the storm is under His authority.
2. Pray with confidence in Christ's authority.
Prayer is not merely wishing for circumstances to change. We approach the One who has authority over what we cannot control. Pray boldly, while submitting to His will.
3. Stop worshipping what God created.
Do not allow money, possessions, nature, people, systems or circumstances to become the source of your security. Creation is a servant; Christ alone is Lord.
4. Obey Christ even when you cannot see the outcome.
The disciples had to trust Jesus while the storm was still raging. Faith means obeying His word even before circumstances become calm.
5. Speak faith instead of surrendering to fear.
Your words should agree with God's truth. Instead of declaring, “This situation is impossible,” declare, “Nothing is impossible with God” (Luke 1:37).
6. Remember that Christ has the final authority.
People may have authority, circumstances may have influence, and the world may appear chaotic, but Jesus Christ remains Lord. Therefore, your hope does not depend on circumstances being favorable; it depends on Christ being sovereign.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive Him as Lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome the evil one .
Lord Jesus, help me recognize Your authority over every storm and circumstance. Teach me to trust You when life becomes overwhelming. Give me faith to pray boldly, obey Your Word, reject fear, and rest in Your sovereignty. Let Your peace rule in my heart, and let Your authority bring order where there is confusion. Amen.
POWER POINT:

SUNDAY SERMON: POWER A'S IN THE DAY OF OLD (3)

TOPIC: THE POWER OF GOD AS IN THE DAYS OF OLD

[Mat 7:21  Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Mat 7:22  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? ]

-- Saith (says: continuously saying): The fact that you say Lord Jesus is your Lord. Demons recognize Jesus as God and Lord, yet it does not mean that. The essence of knowledge/relationship is in the treatment. The essence of christianity is a relationship with God. Just because you know someone as something, it does not mean you treat them that way. You should be able to say with full confidence that you know God.

-- Prophesy means to speak the mind of God. What is the mind of God? The bible. Thus, what it means to say “Shall I prophesy?”

-- You can cast out devils by appeasement; demons don’t like to be without human hosts. So the person “casting out the demon” usually kidnaps a person and the demon moves from the afflicted to them.

-- So why is Mommy showing her son Tony? Why are parents showing their children CRIMINALS to emulate, just because they have a big car, big house, fine clothes, etc with no good answer as to where that money came from?

-- If you move around our churches, chances are, you’ll see some exotic cars, sharply-dressed men and women who go to church, and whenever the preacher speaks on something sensual with no spiritual backing, will be the first to drop money at the altar.

-- When we start having prominent men being hung at Eagle Square, this nonsense in Nigeria will stop. If someone argues that it is too harsh in the old testament, keep in mind Acts 5, where Ananias and Sapphira conspired to defraud the church. Now, in the Old Testament, you needed 2 or 3 witnesses to take you for a crime, but in the New Testament, all that is needed is the Holy Ghost. Ananias and Sapphira lied, and the Holy Spirit killed them immediately without trial. New Testament is harsher than the Old Testament.

AGAINST BEING LED BY FEELINGS

[Rom 8:1  There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 

Rom 8:2  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. 

Rom 8:3  For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: 

Rom 8:4  That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. ]

- Jesus did not call us to be successful; you can be successful doing the wrong thing. 

- Note that there is nothing like Prayerhouse or Prayer Ministry in the Word of God. What is there is that “My house shall be called a house of prayer”, and what is God’s house? His temple, which is you. He means that you should be filled with prayer. 

- The observance of religious duty does not absolve you of sin. All those people bathing themselves with Fanta and saying that it absolves them of sin and brings them closer to God are lying to themselves and those who follow them. Not only is that false, whoever is involved opens themselves up to demons.

- If you walk based on feelings, the righteousness of God cannot be fulfilled in your life. You need discipline, which is mentioned in Hebrew 12 (The Holiness of God in you cannot be found without discipline, and due to that, demons will treat you like an unbeliever). I hope you know that any Nigerian soldier who is found drunk in a gutter can easily be beaten.

- Those governed by feelings are ruled by those things mentioned in 1 John. Those governed by the spirit are lead by the fruits of the spirit.

- To be led by your feelings is death. What is that main thing that is on your mind? There is a Nigerian christian with 3 or so N3M phones,, meanwhile there are communities in Bayelsa with no drinking water, that need water purifiers not even up to 2 million.

- To be spiritually minded is life and peace. Thus, if we want peace in Nigeria, we must be spiritually minded.

- One of the reason we have kidney failure is because Nigerians are not sleeping; they are busy with midnight prayers. The one thing a woman desires from a husband is love, and the one thing a man desires from a wife is respect. Is that hard? So why is it that instead of doing this, instead Nigerian Christians will rather stay awake fasting and praying late at night for these things, damaging their bodies? 

- You need to google the effect of staying awake at 12-3AM; kidney and liver problems are a direct consequence.

- Jesus is not an owl that he only works at night.

- Psalm 127 literally says that “It is a vain thing to stay awake late at night, thinking that by so doing, you are bettering your life.”

A LIFE OF HARD THINGS

- God is the Rock of Ages, everything about him is hard. 

- Nigeria is in trouble today because we are afraid of hard things, and only like soft things.

- Nigeria is full of schemers and fraudsters because their spiritual fathers and mothers are the same; it is what they are taught.

- That is why you are trying to vote in the best thief, so that they can steal from the country and give it to your community.

- How are politicians the richest people in your country? This means your country is in trouble because the richest people in your country are supposed to be businessmen!

BLESSINGS WITHOUT REPENTANCE IS WITCHCRAFT

- Any church you go to where your are promised blessings without repentance, is an avenue for witchcraft. Carry your bag and run away from that place, and tell any family member that goes there that you will neither give them money nor come to their aid when they get in trouble.

- Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. That is repentance from unrighteousness, right? So can you see that anyone that preaches otherwise is fulfilling Satan’s mission?

- These places tell you to switch off your mind, meanwhile God says that you should worship God with sense.

[Jas 5:14  Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: 

Jas 5:15  And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. 

Jas 5:16  Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. 

Jas 5:17  Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.]

- When you are living in sin, someone has to pray over you, not for you because God does not answer the prayers of sinners, and angels fight sinners, including Christian sinners. The only prayer He will answer is that of repentance.

- What is the prayer of faith? It is the faith that came from hearing God’s word.

- Confess your faults, one to another: This is explaining why the person came for prayers, if there is no prayerhouse? They have faults, and need to confess those faults so the elders can pray over them to free them of them. 

- For your prayers to be powerful, you HAVE to be righteous; God is very specific.

WHAT GOD WILL DO TO THOSE WHO DELIBERATELY OBSTUCT THE WORD?

Pro 13:13  Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded. 

- They will be destroyed.

- What is the proof that you have repented from a thing? Advocating against the thing vocally. If you keep quiet, then by law silence is acceptance, and that means you are doing it in your mind instead.

(PART THREE:)  GOD’S MERCY, HUMAN CHOICE, AND THE CALL TO REPENTANCE

TEXT: 2 Peter 3:9; John 3:16–18; Philippians 2:10–11
   Christian Universalists  ( who teach  purgatory) rightly emphasize some wonderful biblical truths: God is loving, Christ is the Savior, God desires people to be saved, and Christ will ultimately triumph.
  2 Peter 3:9 says that God is “not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
1 Timothy 2:4 similarly says that God “wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.”
But God's universal offer of salvation does not necessarily mean universal acceptance of salvation. Scripture repeatedly calls individuals to repent and believe.
   Jesus said in John 3:16–18 that whoever believes in Him has eternal life, while the one who does not believe “has been judged already.”
Philippians 2:10–11 says that every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Universalists see this as evidence of eventual universal salvation. Others understand it as the universal acknowledgment of Christ's Lordship, without necessarily teaching that every person receives salvation.
  This distinction is important. Universal acknowledgment is not automatically identical to universal redemption.
   Christians should therefore avoid two opposite errors. The first is becoming so focused on hell that God's mercy, love, and desire to save are forgotten. The second is becoming so confident in universal restoration that the biblical warnings about judgment, repentance, and faith are emptied of their force.
   Our responsibility is clear: preach the gospel, call sinners to repentance, proclaim Christ, and live holy lives.
We do not need to know every mystery of the final judgment before obeying Jesus' command to make disciples.
PRAYER Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive Him as Lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to declare the gospel .
Father, thank You for Your mercy revealed through Jesus Christ. Give me compassion for sinners and boldness to preach the gospel. Help me never to use Your grace as permission to continue in sin. Give me wisdom when discussing difficult doctrines and love for those who disagree with me. Keep my heart faithful until the end, and let my life point people to Jesus Christ. Amen.
FINAL REFLECTION
We should neither deny God's judgment nor limit His mercy. We should neither presume universal salvation nor despair of God's ability to save. Our sure foundation is Jesus Christ, His gospel, His death, His resurrection, and His call to repentance and faith.
