FORTY YEARS: GOD FORMS A NEW GENERATION

You shall not labour in vain because of the anointing of God's favour upon you
Good -Life Devotional: FORTY YEARS: GOD FORMS A NEW GENERATION

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi
The forty years Israel spent in the wilderness reveal a profound prophetic pattern: God often prepares people before He promotes them. When Israel left Egypt, they were physically free but mentally enslaved. Fear, complaint, and unbelief followed them into the desert. So the wilderness became a divine classroom where God reshaped their identity. Deuteronomy 8:2 explains that the Lord led them those forty years “to humble you, and to prove you, to know what was in your heart.”
The wilderness exposed what comfort would have concealed.
Their journey to Canaan could have taken only a short time, but unbelief prolonged it. After spying the land for forty days, the people refused to trust God, and that moment defined an entire generation. The delay was not because God failed, but because the people were not ready. The wilderness therefore became a season of discipline and transformation. God fed them with manna, guided them by cloud and fire, and taught them daily dependence.
Even their clothing did not wear out, showing that God sustains what He is preparing.
Prophetically, forty years represent the removal of an old mindset. Egypt had to come out of Israel before Israel could enter promise. Complaining had to give way to trust, and fear had to yield to faith. When God allows a long season of waiting, He is often building endurance and obedience. The wilderness is uncomfortable, but it produces maturity. Before inheritance comes, God forms character so that the blessing will not destroy the one who receives it.
Forty years ago in 1986  God Spoke  through Pa Sydney Granville Elton that Nigeria will suffer the evil effect of corruption because of a compromised  clergy after which an era of righteousness will commence. ( Google search the prophecy of Pa Sydney Granville Elton ) 2026 makes it forty years of test and trials that has resulted in the death of many Christians in the hands of Muslim Jihadists. Restoration has began .
PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to preach the gospel.

Forty Years: Transition From Delay to Promise
The end of Israel’s forty years in the wilderness marked more than the passing of time; it marked the birth of a prepared generation. Those who doubted God’s promise gradually faded, and a new people arose who had learned dependence on the Lord. This shows that forty years prophetically symbolize transition. It is the closing of one season and the opening of another. The wilderness was not their destination; it was preparation for possession.
During those years, God taught Israel obedience in small things. They gathered manna daily, followed the cloud faithfully, and learned that provision comes from God, not human strength. By the time they reached the borders of the promised land again, they were no longer the fearful people who refused to enter earlier. They had seen God provide water from rocks, defeat enemies, and guide them consistently. Their confidence was now rooted in God’s faithfulness.
This pattern teaches that prolonged seasons often precede significant breakthroughs. Forty years represent the completion of testing and the beginning of fulfillment. Joshua’s generation crossed the Jordan not by their own ability, but by the faith developed in the wilderness. What seemed like delay became preparation for victory.
When you experience a long season, it may be God aligning your heart with His promise. The wilderness removes pride, builds endurance, and deepens trust. Then, when the appointed time comes, you step into what God prepared. The same God who leads through the wilderness also leads into inheritance. The end of testing becomes the doorway to promise.

THE CONSUMPTION DECREED SHALL OVERFLOW WITH RIGHTEOUSNESS

The evil verdict against you shall be overturned because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: THE CONSUMPTION DECREED SHALL OVERFLOW WITH RIGHTEOUSNESS

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Scripture reveals that when a society normalizes injustice, judgment follows. Isaiah 5:23 condemns those “which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him.” A broken judicial system that rewards evil and punishes truth invites divine intervention. This moral collapse is rooted in what Isaiah 5:20 describes—men calling evil good and good evil. When values are inverted, institutions decay, and righteousness is removed from public life.

Therefore, Isaiah 5:24 declares that “their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust.” This is the consumption decreed—a societal unraveling.

Corruption weakens productivity, insecurity disrupts industry, and the economy falters. A healthy nation thrives on productivity and exports, but when righteousness is rejected, dependency increases and inflation rises. Proverbs 13:13 warns, “Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed.” Rejecting God’s laws produces disorder in governance, commerce, and justice.

Yet judgment is not God’s final word. Even in discipline, mercy speaks. Isaiah 10:22 teaches that though destruction is decreed, it shall “overflow with righteousness.” God allows correction so that righteousness may be restored. This aligns with Psalm 33:5: “He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.”

After seasons of corruption and poverty, God raises a remnant that reforms culture.

Prophetic voices have long warned that merchandise of the anointing and compromise would bring decline, but also foretold restoration;  prominent amongst this is the prophesy about Nigeria in 1986 by Pa Sydney Granville Elton , mentor  to Arch Bishop Benson Idahosa  ( see link https://churchtimesnigeria.net/pa-elton-sydney-prophetic-nigeria)  God is transitioning from darkness to light. As Amos 5:24 declares, “Let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.” The consumption decreed will not end in ruin; it will overflow into a new culture of justice, truth, and righteousness.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and for righteous governance in our nation .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome oppressive systems .

JUDGMENT IS COMING UPON THOSE WHO MANIPULATE THE JUDICIARY TO PROMOTE UNRIGHTEOUS GOVERNANCE

The structure promoting poverty shall be demolished because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: JUDGMENT IS COMING UPON THOSE WHO MANIPULATE THE JUDICIARY TO PROMOTE UNRIGHTEOUS GOVERNANCE

By Rev Michael. Benson Ajayi.

Scripture declares, “Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees… to turn aside the needy from judgment” (Isaiah 10:1–2).    When courts meant to defend truth are twisted to protect injustice, God Himself rises as the final Judge. No legal manipulation can overturn divine justice. A day is appointed when the Lord will ask, “What will ye do in the day of visitation?” (Isaiah 10:3). Those who trusted in influence, wealth, and corrupt alliances will find that all they gathered collapses in a moment.

Isaiah further warns that the light of God will become a consuming fire (Isaiah 10:17). Systems built on oppression will be burned away, and unjust power structures will fall suddenly. Though many are corrupted, God preserves a remnant. “The consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness” (Isaiah 10:22). The Hebrew word for “consumption” is kalah, meaning complete destruction or decisive end. Yet this destruction is not aimless—it clears the ground so righteousness may overflow. When God ends corrupt governance, He replaces decay with justice.

The Lord also promises, “Yet a very little while, and the indignation shall cease” (Isaiah 10:25). Oppression is temporary; God’s intervention is decisive. As in Proverbs 29:2, “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice.” Likewise, Ecclesiastes 5:8 reminds us that injustice does not escape heaven’s notice, for “He that is higher than the highest regardeth.”

Therefore, hope remains. The yoke of economic and socio-political bondage shall be broken by the anointing of God’s favor (Isaiah 10:27). Divine justice will overturn manipulation, preserve a remnant, and establish overflowing righteousness. God’s judgment is certain, and His restoration is near.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and the destruction of evil influence over the  judiciary and collapse of unjust systems in Nigeria.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome injustice.

GOD WILL DELIVER YOU FROM THE PROUD AND LOFTY ONE

The stronghold of the enemy over your affairs shall be destroyed because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

GOD WILL DELIVER YOU FROM THE PROUD AND LOFTY ONE

 By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

“Plead my cause, O LORD, with those who strive with me… Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for my help” (Psalm 35:1–2). David understood that the proud and lofty often appear unstoppable. They boast in strength, influence, and past victories, yet the Lord remains the defender of the humble. Psalm 35:10 declares, “All my bones shall say, LORD, who is like unto thee, which deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him?”

God specializes in rescuing those overwhelmed by arrogant power. A clear example appears when the king of Assyria threatened Jerusalem. He had a larger army, vast resources, and many trophies from conquered nations. In his pride he claimed his campaign was even ordained by God (2 Kings 18:20, 28). This is how oppressive leaders often behave—using religion as a tool to manipulate citizens.   They employ voices and influencers to weaken faith, urging people not to trust God (2 Kings 18:29–30). But arrogance never intimidates the Lord.

King Hezekiah turned to God in prayer, refusing to surrender to fear. The Lord responded decisively. “Then the angel of the LORD went out, and smote… the camp of the Assyrians” (2 Kings 19:35). The proud fled, and their power collapsed overnight. This fulfills God’s pattern: “The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed” (Psalm 9:9). “He disappointeth the devices of the crafty” (Job 5:12). “The battle is not yours, but God’s” (2 Chronicles 20:15).

Therefore, trust God always. Psalm 62:7–8 reminds us that He alone is our salvation and refuge. When the proud rise, do not panic. Pray, stand firm, and rely on God. He still delivers the weak from the strong and the humble from the lofty.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as Lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome oppresion.

MEN’S STATUS HAS NO VALUE BEFORE THE LORD , DON'T BE INTIMIDATED BY ANY

You shall experience extraordinary recovery for your losses because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.
Good -Life Devotional; MEN’S STATUS HAS NO VALUE BEFORE THE LORD , DON'T BE INTIMIDATED BY ANY

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi
Psalm 62:7–12
Psalm 62:9–10 reminds us that “men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie… they are altogether lighter than vanity.”
Before God, social rank, wealth, and influence carry no eternal weight. You achievements are not recognised in heaven on faith in God  matters most . Verse 11 declares that power belongs to God, and verse 12 affirms that He rewards each person according to his work. This truth frees believers from intimidation. No human status can override God’s authority, and no powerful person is beyond accountability.
Scripture shows this clearly when the prophet Nathan confronted King David after his sin (2 Samuel 12:1–7). Though David was the most powerful man in Israel, Nathan did not shrink back. He spoke God’s truth boldly, saying, “You are the man!” David’s throne did not exempt him from divine judgment. This demonstrates that God’s standards apply equally to rulers and subjects alike. Proverbs 29:25 warns, “The fear of man brings a snare,” but those who trust in the Lord are safe.
Believers must therefore refuse intimidation. Whether facing a wealthy employer, a political leader, or a respected elder, remember that all stand on equal ground before God. Job 34:19 says God “accepts not the persons of princes, nor regards the rich more than the poor.” Likewise, Acts 10:34 affirms that God shows no partiality.
Your confidence should rest in God alone. Psalm 62:7 says, “In God is my salvation and my glory.” When you understand that human status is temporary, you gain courage to speak truth, live righteously, and obey God without fear. Stand firm, for the Lord alone is supreme, and every person—great or small—will answer to Him.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome oppresion.

HELP MINE UNBELIEF

The stronghold of the enemy shall be destroyed because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: HELP MINE UNBELIEF

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Mark 9;17-27

The desperate father in this passage brings his tormented son to Jesus. He believed Jesus could heal him, yet his confidence wavered. To believe is to mentally accept that a person can do what he says; faith goes further—it is total reliance on God that produces corresponding action. This man began well, but uncertainty crept in. He first took the child to the disciples, then later approached Jesus with hesitation: “If You can do anything…” (v.22). Faith has no room for “ifs” and “buts.” It is volitional, the driving force behind supernatural intervention.

His words exposed doubt. Saying “anything” revealed he was unsure of Christ’s ability. Faith is specific and anchored in God’s character. Compare James 1:6–7, which warns that the doubter is like a wave of the sea, unstable and unable to receive. The father, confronted by Jesus, recognized his inner conflict and cried, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” (v.24). That honest confession opened the door to grace.

Unbelief subtly questions God’s trustworthiness, but faith rests on His promises. Jesus responded, “All things are possible to him who believes” (v.23). This aligns with Mark 11:23–24, where believing without doubting brings results, and Hebrews 11:6, which declares that faith is essential to please God.

When the father surrendered his doubt, deliverance followed. The demon left, and the boy was  restored. Faith does not deny struggle, but it chooses reliance over hesitation. Bring your doubts to Christ, confess them honestly, and commit to trust Him fully. When unbelief is replaced with confidence in His power, miracles of deliverance become possible.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as Lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome the fear of failure.

SEEKING HONOUR FROM MEN HINDERS BELIEF IN GOD

Extraordinary promotion shall locate you because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good-Life Devotional: SEEKING HONOUR FROM MEN HINDERS BELIEF IN GOD

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Jesus Christ exposed a hidden obstacle to faith when He said, “I receive not honour from men” (John 5:41). The religious leaders of His day sought recognition, status, and approval from one another, yet this desire blinded them to the truth standing before them. When the heart is occupied with human applause, it becomes resistant to divine revelation. Faith requires humility, but honour from men feeds pride. This is why many who chase reputation struggle to believe God for the supernatural.

Mark 6:5–6 reveals that Jesus “could there do no mighty work… because of their unbelief.” The people of Nazareth were too familiar with Him and too concerned with social expectations. Their pessimism limited what God wanted to do among them. Honour from men produces intellectual pride and skepticism, while faith thrives in humility and dependence on God. James 4:6 reminds us that “God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.”

Scripture also teaches that God often bypasses the elite. “Not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called” (1 Corinthians 1:26–29). This is not because education or influence is evil, but because they can create self-sufficiency. Those who rely on their status may find it difficult to trust God beyond natural reasoning.    In contrast, childlike faith welcomes the supernatural (Matthew 18:3).

Jesus asked, “How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?” (John 5:44). True belief grows when we stop performing for human approval. When we seek God’s honour above men’s praise, doubt gives way to faith, and the door opens for God’s power to work mightily in our lives.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and a spirit of meekness.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to work miracles.

THERE IS DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FAITH AND BELIEF

You shall not be swallowed up by the enemy because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.
Good -Life Devotional: THERE IS DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FAITH AND BELIEF

By  Rev Michael Benson Ajayi
James 2:19 'Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble."
Belief is the intellectual acceptance of a fact or proposition as true. Faith is a deeper, active commitment or trust in something, often requiring action and enduring despite a lack of evidence or presence of doubt. Belief is passive, while faith is actionable and transforms behavior.
KEY DIFFERENCES BETWEEN FAITH AND BELIEF:
ACTION VS. ASSENT: Belief is merely agreeing that something is true (e.g., believing a parachute works). Faith is acting on that belief (e.g., jumping with the parachute).
INTELLECT VS. TRUST: Belief resides in the mind as an intellectual, rational acknowledgment. Faith resides in the heart as trust or confidence, often lacking direct proof.
COMMITMENT: Belief does not require a change in behavior, but faith involves a commitment that impacts how you live.
Examples: One might believe in God intellectually but not have the faith to commit their life to His will, as described in many religious texts.
In Summary Belief is a foundational acceptance, while faith is that belief put into motion through trust and action. we need both to be saved . The just shall live by faith (Romans 1:17) and all things are possible to him that believes  (Mark 9:23) See God coming through for you and take corresponding steps in your belief like  Abraham did when he needed a child from God in old age  (Read Romans 4:18-21)
PRAYER; Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as Lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to work miracles.

NATIONAL DELIVERANCE FROM PROPHETIC BONDAGE

The evil verdict and prophecy against you shall be overturned because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.
Good -Life Devotional:
NATIONAL DELIVERANCE FROM PROPHETIC BONDAGE

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi
In Jeremiah 28:1–17, the prophet Hananiah declared a message of quick peace and freedom from Babylon, contradicting God’s true word through Jeremiah. The people preferred the comforting prophecy, yet their bondage remained. Judah’s captivity came because God’s people lived contrary to His commands, embracing disobedience and injustice. Likewise, when Christians neglect civic responsibility, tolerate corruption, and ignore righteousness, nations drift into moral and social bondage (Proverbs 14:34). Sin at a national level invites consequences.
False prophets deepen this bondage. Instead of rebuking sin, they promise peace without repentance. Scripture commands, “Them that sin rebuke before all” (1 Timothy 5:20). Yet many modern voices replace prophetic clarity with motivational speech, avoiding correction for fear of losing followers. The result is weakened moral conviction, worsening insecurity, and deepening poverty. God declared through Jeremiah that Hananiah’s lies strengthened rebellion and prolonged the yoke (Jeremiah 28:13–14). False assurances never remove judgment; they only delay repentance.
Jeremiah told Hananiah, “Thou makest this people to trust in a lie” (Jeremiah 28:15). False teaching encourages rejection of righteous correction (Isaiah 30:10) and creates a culture that resists truth. The consequence was severe: Hananiah died under God’s judgment (Jeremiah 28:17). This warns that misleading God’s people is dangerous, and a nation cannot be healed by denial.
National deliverance comes through humility and repentance. “If my people… shall humble themselves… and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear… and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14). True restoration requires repentance, truth, and courageous preaching (2 Timothy 4:2). When God’s people embrace righteousness, reject lies, and pursue justice, prophetic bondage breaks and national healing begins.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and the power to preach righteousness .

THE JIHADISTS AND SPONSORS OF CHRISTIAN GENOCIDE DON'T KNOW GOD

The plans of the enemy shall fail because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: THE JIHADISTS AND SPONSORS OF CHRISTIAN GENOCIDE DON'T KNOW GOD

By Michael Benson Ajayi

Jesus warned His disciples in John 16:1–3 that persecution would come, not from strangers alone, but from religious people convinced they were serving God. He said, “These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended… whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.” This is a powerful apologetic truth: opposition to Christ does not disprove Christianity; it actually confirms Jesus’ prediction. The gospel exposes human pride, religious hypocrisy, and self-righteousness, and those who cling to these often resist the truth.

Jesus explains the root problem: “they have not known the Father, nor me.”    Spiritual ignorance produces hostility toward the truth. This is why Paul, before his conversion, persecuted believers thinking he was serving God (Acts 26:9–11). Yet ignorance does not make persecution right; it reveals the need for the light of the gospel. 2 Timothy 3:12 declares, “All that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.” The believer should therefore not stumble when opposition arises.

This also strengthens our defense of the faith. Christianity does not promise worldly acceptance; it promises truth. Jesus said in John 15:18–19, “If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.” The hostility toward Christ and His followers is evidence that the message confronts sin and calls people to repentance. Darkness naturally resists light (John 3:19–20).

Therefore, believers must stand firm. 1 Peter 4:14 says, “If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye.” Persecution is not defeat; it is participation in Christ’s suffering. Jesus warned beforehand so we would not be shaken. Knowing this, we defend the faith with patience, love, and courage, trusting that truth will prevail and God will be glorified.

In our daily prayers we should pray for the deliverance of the church from terrorism.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as Lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome the fear of death.

WHY BEING A POLITICAL THUG IS A FOOLISH IDEA (Part 2) THE END OF POLITICAL THUGGERY IS SHAME AND JUDGMENT

Good -Life Devotional : WHY BEING A POLITICAL THUG IS A FOOLISH IDEA (Part 2)
THE END OF POLITICAL THUGGERY IS SHAME AND JUDGMENT

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi
Political thuggery may appear attractive, but its end is fear, shame, and divine judgment. The Bible says, “The wicked flee when no man pursueth” (Proverbs 28:1). Violence produces a life of constant fear—fear of police, revenge, and betrayal.
It also destroys your future. “A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches” (Proverbs 22:1). Temporary political money cannot replace a damaged reputation. Many thugs are abandoned after elections, left with no education, no job, and no direction.
BAD COMPANY WORSENS CHARACTER. “Evil communications corrupt good manners” (1 Corinthians 15:33). Staying among violent people hardens the conscience and leads to deeper sin.
VIOLENCE ALSO SHORTENS LIFE. “Bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days” (Psalms 55:23). Political thuggery exposes people to deadly clashes and revenge attacks.
God warns that such people face judgment. “...murderers… shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire” (Revelation 21;8)
In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and for removal of selfish ongodly rulers and for their replacement with righteous capable leaders.

WHY BEING A POLITICAL THUG IS A FOOLISH IDEA (Part 1:)

You shall be far from the destroyer because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

WHY BEING A POLITICAL THUG IS A FOOLISH IDEA (Part 1:)

-The Path of Violence Leads to Destruction-

By  Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Scripture warns strongly against joining violent groups for money or political gain. The Bible says, “My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not” ( Proverbs 1:10). Political thuggery begins with enticement—small money, promises of protection, and false loyalty—but the end is destruction.

They are quick to harm others: “They make haste to shed innocent blood” (Proverbs 1:16). God condemns violence because it destroys both victims and perpetrators. Verse 18 explains that they “lay wait for their own blood.” In other words, political thugs dig their own graves.

Another reason it is foolish is greed. Many are recruited with money, yet Proverbs 1:19 says greed “taketh away the life of the owners thereof.” What looks like quick gain becomes long-term loss.

Political thuggery also makes you an instrument of evil. Jesus warned, “The thief cometh… to steal, and to kill, and to destroy” (John 10:10). Corrupt leaders use thugs to intimidate voters, destroy property, and silence truth.

God also hates violence. “The LORD… hateth… him that loveth violence” (Psalms 11:5). Choosing violence places a person against God’s will.

Furthermore, sin brings consequences. “The wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). Political thuggery can lead to injury, imprisonment, retaliation, or lifelong regret.

God instead calls believers to peace. “Blessed are the peacemakers” (Matthew 5:9). True honor comes not from intimidation but from righteousness.

Political thuggery is foolish because it destroys reputation, invites judgment, corrupts the heart, and ruins destiny. Wisdom says walk away and choose peace.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to resist temptation. Dear lord, deliver our nation from selfish and greedy leaders and grant us truthful and capable leaders that hate corruption. Amen

STOPPING POLITICAL THUGS DURING ELECTIONS

The more the opposition against you, the higher shall be your elevation because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good-Life Devotional: STOPPING POLITICAL THUGS DURING ELECTIONS

Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Elections should reflect the will of the people, not the violence of hired thugs. Scripture calls believers to resist evil and promote justice. “My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not” (Proverbs 1:10).       Political thugs are often recruited to intimidate voters, disrupt polling units, and shed innocent blood. Proverbs 1:15-16 warns, “Walk not thou in the way with them… for their feet run to evil.” Refusing recruitment is the first step to stopping them.

Christians must also expose and resist wrongdoing. Ephesians 5:11 says, “Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.” This means reporting plans for violence, encouraging peaceful participation, and refusing to support politicians who promote thuggery. When the righteous take a stand, evil loses ground. Proverbs 29:2 declares, “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.” Rejecting violent candidates helps prevent thuggery.

Prayer is another powerful weapon. Paul urged that “supplications, prayers… be made for kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Pray for peaceful elections, wise security agents, and courage for voters. Peaceful conduct also matters. Romans 12:18 teaches, “If it be possible… live peaceably with all men.” Believers should promote calm, discourage retaliation, and encourage lawful processes.

Finally, speak for justice. Proverbs 31:8-9 commands, “Open thy mouth for the dumb… plead the cause of the poor and needy.” By refusing violence, exposing evil, praying, and standing for justice, believers can help stop political thugs and ensure elections reflect righteousness and peace.

In our daily prayers we should pray for godly leadership and failure of the works of evil men

POLITICAL THUGS ARE AGENTS OF SATAN : GOD SAYS AVO

You shall be far from disaster because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: POLITICAL THUGS ARE AGENTS OF SATAN : GOD SAYS AVO

ID LEADERS WHO USE THEM.

Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Political thuggery thrives where greed rules and conscience is silenced. Scripture warns believers not to align with those who exploit violence for gain. In Proverbs 1:10–19, wisdom cautions, “My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not… my son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path” (v.10,15). Political thugs are often enticed with money and power to intimidate, steal ballots, and silence opposition. Their feet “run to evil, and make haste to shed blood” (v.16). Such actions mirror the mission of the enemy, for Jesus said in John 10:10 that the thief comes “to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.” Corrupt politicians who sponsor violence impoverish the people by looting the commonwealth and maintaining power through fear.

God calls believers to separation from those who practice such wickedness. First Corinthians 5:11 instructs us not to keep company with anyone who claims righteousness yet lives in open sin. We must therefore avoid endorsing leaders who depend on violence and intimidation. Psalm 11:5 says the Lord hates “him that loveth violence,” and Isaiah 33:15 declares that the righteous refuse “gain of oppressions” and stop their ears from hearing of bloodshed. Revelation 21:8 solemnly warns that the violent, liars, and the unrepentant will face judgment.

Instead, we should pray for righteous leadership. First Timothy 2:1–2 urges prayers for kings and all in authority, that we may live peaceful lives. When godly leaders arise, justice prevails (Proverbs 29:2).   Pray for divine intervention, exposure of violent networks, and transformation of hearts. God desires governance marked by righteousness, not intimidation, so that nations prosper in peace.

PRAYER: Heavenly father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to promote good governance.

BRINGING FORTH FRUIT UNTO GOD

The yoke of guilt and condemnation is hereby broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: BRINGING FORTH FRUIT UNTO GOD

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Romans 7:4 declares that believers are “made dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another… that we should bring forth fruit unto God.” Bringing forth fruit unto God means serving Him, sharing the gospel, and leading others into His kingdom. It does not mean we will never struggle with sin. The believer may wrestle, yet still remain useful to God.

The devil often whispers that because of our struggles we are not qualified to preach Christ. But Scripture reminds us, “There is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not” (Ecclesiastes 7:20).    Even the most devout believers face inward battles. These struggles are intensified by the law, for “sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence” (Romans 7:8). The law exposes sin and reveals our need for a Savior (Galatians 3:24).    Living under law brings condemnation and death, “for when we were in the flesh… the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death” (Romans 7:5).

God is not ignorant of the believer’s struggle. Romans 7:13–24 shows Paul’s inner conflict, yet he concludes with hope: “I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 7:25). In Christ we have assurance despite weakness (Romans 8:1). We are not under law but under grace (Romans 6:14), and grace empowers fruitfulness. Jesus said, “He that abideth in me… the same bringeth forth much fruit” (John 15:5).

Therefore, do not withdraw from serving God because of struggle. Walk in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16), proclaim Christ boldly, and bring forth fruit unto God.

PRAYER : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as Lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to serve God effectively.

SHALL WE CONTINUE IN SIN BECAUSE WE ARE UNDER GRACE ?

You shall not fall victim of the deceiver because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:  SHALL WE CONTINUE IN SIN BECAUSE WE ARE UNDER GRACE  ?

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

“Shall we continue in sin because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid” (Romans 6:15).

Should politicians and fraudulent preachers continue to steal and kill  because we are under grace ?    Grace is often misunderstood. Some imagine it gives permission to live carelessly, but Scripture teaches the opposite. Grace is not a license to sin; it is the power to live righteously. Titus 2:11–12 declares that the grace of God “teaches us to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts” and to live “soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world.” Grace trains, corrects, and empowers the believer.

The devil would have people believe that sin is profitable, pleasurable, and harmless. Yet Romans 6:21 asks, “What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed?” Sin produces temporary excitement but lasting shame. It destroys individuals, weakens families, corrupts nations, and fractures relationships. Proverbs 14:34 reminds us, “Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.” Every sinful victory leaves damage somewhere—someone suffers, trust is broken, and spiritual life is diminished.

Romans 6:23 gives the sober conclusion: “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Sin always pays wages—spiritual death, emotional decay, and sometimes physical consequences. James 1:15 echoes this truth: “Sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.” But righteousness brings life, peace, and stability (Isaiah 32:17).

Therefore, grace calls us higher. We are not only forgiven; we are empowered to live differently. Through grace, we choose righteousness, knowing that holiness produces life, while sin produces shame and death. Walk in grace, and let righteousness prevail

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to walk in righteousness .

YOU ARE NOT TRYING TO BE SPIRITUALLY FREE. YOU ARE FREE

The yoke of fear and oppresion is broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional; Good -Life Devotional: YOU ARE NOT TRYING TO BE SPIRITUALLY FREE. YOU ARE FREE

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Romans 6:7–14 presents a powerful apologetic: the believer in Jesus Christ is not trying to become free from sin — he has already been set and made free. “For he that is dead is freed from sin” (Romans 6:7). Through union with Christ in His death and resurrection, sin loses its legal authority.    This is not emotional freedom but judicial freedom. The old man was crucified with Christ so that the body of sin might be rendered powerless (Romans 6:6).

Jesus confirmed this truth in John 8:36: “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” The freedom Christ gives is real, complete, and present. The believer is no longer a slave but now lives under grace, not law (Romans 6:14). Grace does not encourage sin; it breaks sin’s dominion. The tyranny of sin is replaced by the reign of righteousness.

This is why Paul says, “Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:11). The Christian life begins with knowing and counting this truth as reality.   Sin may still attempt influence, but it no longer has ownership. The believer now has the capacity to present his body as an instrument of righteousness (Romans 6:13).

Other scriptures affirm this liberty. “Sin shall not have dominion over you” (Romans 6:14). “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty” (2 Corinthians 3:17). “Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity” (Titus 2:14). Therefore, the believer walks in freedom, not striving for victory but living from victory already accomplished in Christ.

In our daily prayers we should seek for grace to walk in the newness of life in Christ .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome oppression .

YOUR IDENTITY IS NO LONGER DEFINED BY THE FLESH BECAUSE OF DEATH AND JESUS' RESURRECTION.

The burden of guilt and condemnation is hereby broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.
Good -Life Devotional:
YOUR IDENTITY IS NO LONGER DEFINED BY THE FLESH  BECAUSE OF DEATH AND JESUS' RESURRECTION.

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi
Romans 6:3–6 reveals a powerful apologetic truth: the believer’s identity is no longer defined by the flesh but by union with Christ. Paul writes that we were “baptized into Jesus Christ… baptized into His death… that we also should walk in newness of life.” The old man was crucified with Him so that the body of sin might be rendered powerless. This means God no longer relates to the believer based on natural history, weakness, or past failures, but according to the finished work of Christ.
This aligns with 2 Corinthians 5:16: “Therefore from now on we regard no one according to the flesh… even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer.” The resurrection changed everything. Christ is not evaluated by earthly standards, and those in Him must not be judged by outward appearance either. Jesus Himself declared in John 8:15, “You judge according to the flesh; I judge no one.” His judgment was redemptive, rooted in divine purpose rather than human limitation.
Galatians 2:20 confirms this transformation: “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.” Likewise, Colossians 3:3 says, “For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.” The believer’s true identity is spiritual, not fleshly. Even Romans 8:1 declares, “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.”
Therefore, we must stop evaluating ourselves and others by past sins, background, or human weakness. The cross ended the old identity. In Christ, we walk in newness of life, known not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
PRAYER; Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome guilt and condemnation.

JESUS CHRIST THE PROPITIATION OF OUR SINS

This resurrection Sunday I declare that the curse of unfruitfulness and poverty is broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional;  JESUS CHRIST THE PROPITIATION OF OUR SINS

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

The Bible reveals a profound truth: Jesus Christ is the propitiation for our sins. In Romans 3:25 (AMP), God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement through faith in His blood, demonstrating His righteousness. The word “propitiation” comes from the Greek hilastērion (ἱλαστήριον) and hilasmos (ἱλασμός), meaning a sacrifice that satisfies divine justice and turns away wrath. It carries the idea of appeasement—not by human effort, but by God’s own provision in Christ.

In 1 John 2:2, Scripture declares that Jesus is the propitiation not only for our sins but for the sins of the whole world. Again, 1 John 4:10 emphasizes that love is not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.    This shows that propitiation is rooted in God’s love, not human merit.

Under the Old Covenant, sacrifices were repeated continually (Hebrews 10:1–4), but they could never fully remove sin. However, Jesus, our perfect sacrifice, satisfied God’s justice once and for all (Hebrews 9:12, Isaiah 53:5). Through His blood, God’s righteous anger against sin is justly dealt with, and mercy is extended to all who believe.

This truth brings deep assurance. We are not trying to earn forgiveness; it has already been secured. God is no longer counting sins against those in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:19). Therefore, we can draw near with confidence, knowing that the wrath we deserved has been fully satisfied in Jesus.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as my lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome sin . Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for being the propitiation for my sins. I rest in Your finished work and rejoice in Your mercy. Amen.

CHILDREN SHALL NOT BE PUNISHED FOR THE SINS OF THEIR PARENTS. (ANCESTRAL CURSES IS INVALID

The curse of untimely death is broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

CHILDREN SHALL NOT BE PUNISHED FOR THE SINS OF THEIR PARENTS.

(ANCESTRAL CURSES IS INVALID

)

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

The Law of Moses explicitly prohibited punishing children for their parents' sins, establishing individual accountability for criminal acts. Deuteronomy 24:16 states, "Parents shall not be put to death for their children, nor shall children be put to death for their parents; only for one's own crime shall a person be put to death".

Key details regarding this legal principle include:

LEGAL INDIVIDUALISM: The law demanded that justice be meted out only to the perpetrator (2 Kings 14:6, 2 Chronicles 25:4).

DISTINCTION FROM "VISITATION":  While Exodus 20:5 mentions God "visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children," this is commonly understood in context as the natural consequences of sin (disorder, poverty) affecting future generations, or punishment on descendants who repeat the same sinful actions.

INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY: The principle was clarified further in the prophets, particularly in Ezekiel 18:20, which states that a child will not share the guilt of a parent.

LEGAL PRECEDENT: This law was actively followed in Israelite history, such as when King Amaziah spared the children of murderers who had killed his father (2 Kings 14:6).

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as Lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to preach the gospel

REDEEMED—A PRESENT REALITY IN CHRIST

The curse of stagnation and confusion is broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: REDEEMED—A PRESENT REALITY IN CHRIST

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

In the Old Testament, redemption was illustrated through sacrifices. In Leviticus 4, the sins of the people were symbolically transferred to an innocent bullock. That animal bore the guilt, and the people were spared—yet only temporarily. This system pointed forward to a greater, perfect redemption.

Hebrews reveals the fulfillment: “He entered once for all into the Holy Place…by means of His own blood, thus securing eternal redemption” (Hebrews 9:12, AMP). Unlike animal sacrifices, Jesus Christ’s offering was final and complete. Hebrews 9:15 declares that His death redeemed those under the old covenant as well as those under the new. No one is left out—His sacrifice spans all time.

Colossians 1:14 brings this truth into the present: “In Him we have redemption [that is, our deliverance and salvation], the forgiveness of our sins” (AMP). Redemption is not future—it is a present, continuous reality.

The Greek word for redemption is apolytrōsis, meaning “a release effected by payment of ransom.” The word redeemed comes from lytroō, meaning “to set free by paying a price.” Jesus paid that price fully.

This is why Jesus boldly declares in John 5:24: “Whoever hears My word and believes…does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.” There is no condemnation for the believer (Romans 8:1). We are not awaiting redemption—we are living in it.

PRAYER:Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome guilt and condemnation.

Lord Jesus, thank You for redeeming me fully and eternally. I stand free, forgiven, and uncondemned. Help me live daily in the power of this truth. Amen.

WALKING IN FREEDOM AND CONTENTMENT AWAY FROM BETTING AND GAMBLING.

Your tears of sorrow shall be turned to tears of joy because of the anointing of God's favour
Good-Life Devotional: WALKING IN FREEDOM AND CONTENTMENT AWAY FROM BETTING AND GAMBLING.

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi
Freedom is not just about stopping a habit—it is about embracing a new life in Christ. God calls you to contentment and trust in Him as your provider.
1 Timothy 6:6 (AMP): “Godliness with contentment is great gain.”
Gambling thrives on dissatisfaction, but contentment destroys its power. When you trust God, you no longer chase illusions of sudden wealth.
Matthew 6:33 (AMP): “Seek first His kingdom… and all these things will be added to you.”
+ Replace The Habit  Of Gambling With Purposeful Living.
Ephesians 4:28 (AMP): “…let him do honest work…”
+ Engage In Productive Work, Build skills, and invest your time wisely.
+ You also need accountability. You need a spiritual guide ( pastor)
James 5:16 (AMP): “Confess your sins to one another…”
+ Don’t fight alone—God often uses people to strengthen you. Ask your pastor to pray for you whenever the urge arises .
+ Above all, walk daily in the Spirit.
Galatians 5:16 (AMP): “Walk habitually in the Holy Spirit…”
The Holy Spirit empowers you to overcome every craving and temptation.
Freedom is a daily walk, but victory is certain when you depend on God.
PRAYER : Heavenly Father, Forgive me for my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as Lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to live in righteousness.
Thank You for the freedom You have given me through Christ. Teach me to be content and to trust You as my provider. Remove every desire for dishonest or quick gain and replace it with a love for righteousness.
Lord, guide my steps into productive work and wise decisions. Surround me with the right people who will encourage and strengthen me. Help me to walk daily in the Holy Spirit and not gratify the desires of the flesh.
I declare that I am free from the power of addiction. My life is aligned with Your will, and my future is secure in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
