THERE IS DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FAITH AND BELIEF

You shall not be swallowed up by the enemy because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.
Good -Life Devotional: THERE IS DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FAITH AND BELIEF

By  Rev Michael Benson Ajayi
James 2:19 'Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble."
Belief is the intellectual acceptance of a fact or proposition as true. Faith is a deeper, active commitment or trust in something, often requiring action and enduring despite a lack of evidence or presence of doubt. Belief is passive, while faith is actionable and transforms behavior.
KEY DIFFERENCES BETWEEN FAITH AND BELIEF:
ACTION VS. ASSENT: Belief is merely agreeing that something is true (e.g., believing a parachute works). Faith is acting on that belief (e.g., jumping with the parachute).
INTELLECT VS. TRUST: Belief resides in the mind as an intellectual, rational acknowledgment. Faith resides in the heart as trust or confidence, often lacking direct proof.
COMMITMENT: Belief does not require a change in behavior, but faith involves a commitment that impacts how you live.
Examples: One might believe in God intellectually but not have the faith to commit their life to His will, as described in many religious texts.
In Summary Belief is a foundational acceptance, while faith is that belief put into motion through trust and action. we need both to be saved . The just shall live by faith (Romans 1:17) and all things are possible to him that believes  (Mark 9:23) See God coming through for you and take corresponding steps in your belief like  Abraham did when he needed a child from God in old age  (Read Romans 4:18-21)
PRAYER; Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as Lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to work miracles.
