SHOULD RELIGION BE A PRIMARY CONSIDERATION IN THE CHOICE OF A CANDIDATE IN THE ELECTIONS

The elections are fast approaching and usually politicians in a bid to win votes use religious sentiments as a  campaign  tool. This is the period where pastors and imams recieves the highest forms of gratification from persons seeking votes from their congregations and in a bid to undermine their perceived enemies or opponents  religious sentiments are employed as a ready and very effective tool for politicking.
The elected leader is not necessarily God's choice for the people but rather a token of the popular opinions of the citizenry. Therefore , the fact that a seer or prophet  rightly predicted the assent of an individual into a political office does not automatically translate to God's approval of that individual's candidacy and legitimacy . If that was the case then, all the tyrants that have ever ruled are God sent. An example is that of king Saul a product of popular opinion of the Israelites who wanted to be like other nations outside God's leadership. 1 Samuel 8: 5 "And said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations." and God gave them a king outside His will [NLT] 1 Samuel 15:35 "Samuel never went to meet with Saul again, but he mourned constantly for him. And the Lord was sorry he had ever made Saul king of Israel."
Kings were given to nations to enforce a divine purnishment for turning against God or for a blessing . While king Saul was still in office , King David was annointed as a replacement .
Leadership is an offshoot of followership. Corrupt followership produces corrupt leadership and vice versa. God never judges a leader in the exclusion of his followers. There was abundance of food for a few but the majority of the citizens lived in terror and poverty during king Saul's leadership . The right indices with which good governance is measured is the equitable distribution of resources , justice , security and easy access by all it's citizens to social infrastructures.
SHOULD RELIGION DETERMINE OUR CHOICES.?
First , the question I would love to ask any religious bigot is (1) What was Abraham's religion 2) what was Jesus' religion while on earth (3) Why are mosques being bombed and Muslim leaders being killed or maimed by Muslim extremist (4) Why do we have Christians (catholics versus protestants )fighting against each other in Ireland . (5) Why do Christians kidnap other Christians for ransom in the Niger Delta.( 6) Why do Christians shop from Muslim markets and eat Muslim produce and vice versa. ? 7) What was your religion before you became either a Muslim or a Christian.
Whenever the Israelites transgressed God's laws , He often handed them over to foreign nations. The lession being that a relationship with God premised on love was to be preferred than the pursuit of religion for selfish reasons. The latter often led to disaster , as soon as the immediate need was met the people went back into their evil ways just as it is in Nigeria. How many Christians can claim to be disciples of Christ committed to worship, discipleship, fellowship , Voluntary service and evangelism , that should be about 30. percent going by the fact that approximately that number are dedicated to midweek services. The majority attend  church for immediate needs to be met not because we love God. This is the bane of the weakness in our moral fabric.
God installs kings ( Christian and non Christian)  into power to fulfill divine justice. An example is in Jeremiah 25.9 "Behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, saith the Lord, and Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against the inhabitants thereof, and against all these nations round about, and will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and an hissing, and perpetual desolations." God calls Israel's slave masters His servant. Same in 43:10 "And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will send and take Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will set his throne upon these stones that I have hid; and he shall spread his royal pavilion over them." Jermaiah 40.1 1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord, after that Nebuzar-adan the captain of the guard  had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him being bound in chains among all that were  carried away captive of Jerusalem and Judah, which were carried away captive unto Babylon. 2 And  the captain of the guard took Jeremiah, and said unto him, The Lord thy God hath pronounced this  evil upon this place. 3 Now the Lord hath brought  it, and done according as he hath said: because  ye have sinned against the Lord, and have not obeyed his voice, therefore this thing is come upon  you." Our prophets are being denied entry into african countries because of their madness. They've become part of the reason behind inflationary trends because of recklessness financial indiscipline encouraged by their modus operandi . In 2 kings 7 . Elijah a prophet of God brought singlehandedly brought down inflashion through divine influence. The opposite is the case in Nigeria where these so called prophets have helped to push basic amenities beyond the reach of the common man.  Corrupt politicians boldly claim to be spiritual sons of these sons of Balaam who have turned the free gift of salvation to something soon to be quoted in the nigerian stock exchange. Nigerian Christians are about the most corrupt in the world , over 70 percent of 419 cases  are Christians and just like the Israelites , the lord chastised them through a diciplinarian by name Nebuchadnezzar. When we call Muslim the so-called Ishmealites,  infidels, we are quick to forget that the God of Abraham blessed Ishmael too Gen.17: 20 "And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation. ." This blessing is the reason for the wealth of Muslim nations. The blessing maketh rich.We Christians troop every day to Dubai a land ruled by the so-called infidels but better organized with lesser resources than corrupt Nigerian.
How many Christians indited of corruption were charged including those behind the fuel subsidy fraud . Our prophets are probably some of the craziest megalomaniacs soon to quote the free gift of salvation in the stock market. To them them the anointing is for sale.
In Acts 17. 28 "For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. " The apostle Paul refered to idol worshippers as God's offsprings. The blood of Jesus Christ was shed as an atoning sacrifice for all mankind and by so doing purchased humanity by that token.
What we should be praying for is that God's will be done regardless of whom He uses. In isaiah 45:1-3 God used an IshmaelIte,  Cyrus, to bring about major reforms in Israel that lead to the prosperity of the nation . He called an oppresor of Isreal "My servant "MAY GOD'S WILL BE DONE IN NIGERIA COME 2015.

TYPES OF MEN WOMEN AVOID

9 Types Of Men Women Avoid
By stephaniedaily | January 7, 2015

CONFLICTS COUPLE RELATIONSHIPS

here’s a list of nine types of men you should run miles
away from.
The Non-Committed Guy
This is the guy that tells you he doesn’t want a relationship immediately, the guy that can’t/
won’t call you his girlfriend when it’s way overdue, or the guy that’s over 30 and hasn’t had at
least two serious relationships (or one very serious, 1+ years relationship).
It really doesn’t matter what his issues are, the bottom line is that this guy can’t see himself in
a relationship with you. Do not try to change his mind, turn him around, or make him want it.
You’re just going to waste your time.
The Mama’s Boy
The Mama’s Boy probably still lives with his parents in their house, allowing Mom to iron his
clothes, make his bed and cook his meals. When a man delights in being waited on hand-and-
foot by his mom, there’s trouble. He always asks his Mom before making major decisions in
his life and its a big problem for you if his Mom doesn’t like you.
The Underachiever
You know the type. He sits at home playing video games all day and then goes to hang out
with his guys at the club at night. If he has no hobbies, skills, or future aspirations outside of
his living room, you know you’ve just encountered the attractive but exceedingly lazy
underachiever. When searching for a man, you should always look for confidence, ambition
and stability.
The Control Freak
Going out with this man is like dating your very strict father. At first, his embrace may seem
warm and secure. But before long, you’ll be suffocating. It’ll start with going to the restaurants
he chooses, seeing the movies he picks, hanging out with his friends and not yours. But
eventually he tries to dictate everything, from what you wear to how you spend your free
time. With a control freak, you have to give up more and more of your separate experiences,
separate activities, separate friends. And then it goes deeper to separate thoughts and feelings
until you no longer have an identity of your own.
The Gadget Freak
The gadget freak always likes to be called a ‘big boy’. He has the hottest phone and a decked-
out luxury car. In other words, this guy has a lot of material things keeping him busy. As a
grown-up kid who can’t resist the new plaything of the moment, he has a hard time keeping
his attention on women. After all, who can compete with technology when it changes at
lightning speed? This guy cares more about stuff than people. (Bad sign.) With this kind of
outlook, women who date The Gadget Freak are often left wondering if an upgraded model
will make them obsolete.
The Over Intimate Guy
If your guy is too eager for some intimacy, it’s never a good sign. For one, he may act as if he’s
extremely into you just to get you into bed as soon as possible. He’s the kind of guy that looks
deep into your eyes and tells you he never felt like this with any girl before just a few days
after meeting him! This guy comes across as incredibly affectionate and might confuse you. If
he’s the player type, this is all an act to get you into bed.
The Cheap Guy
He invites a woman to dinner and then subtly suggests she should pay the bill. He never
splurges to buy her gifts and he always opts for the cheapest stuff available. He makes her feel
like they’re on a tight budget from the very first date. It’s just a few weeks into the relationship
and he’s already asking her for loans he would never pay back. Ladies, this is someone to run
away from.
The Cheater
The Cheater doesn’t try to hide the fact that he’s checking out other women while in her
presence; he flirts with the waitress and he even goes as far as to brag about his past
girlfriends. Overall, he lacks respect for women. It’s a sad fact of life that some men are apt to
cheat on their wives and girlfriends, it should become clear that most cheaters won’t change.
Ladies, it’s time to let him go once and for all. Send the cheater packing and save the
relationship that matters most – the relationship you have with yourself!
The One Who Doesn’t Like Your Family
Nobody has a perfect family, but if your guy consistently says he doesn’t want to be around
your family, refuses to attend events where they are present, or is generally rude to them, this
is a huge warning sign for problems in the future. He should love you for you, not your
family, and he should respect you enough to treat them with kindness, regardless of how he
feels.
Do you have any more qualities to add to this list? Do women really avoid such type of men?
Let’s discuss!

WHY IT SEEMS GOD HAS NO INTEREST IN NIGERIAN POLITICS 2

THE ECCLESIASTICAL INFLUENCE   The document of the Christian faith is a compendium of social experiments on three fronts, first a society under divine guidance with God as final authority in the administration of justice. Secondly , a society that was partially theistic and partly animist , then thirdly an atheistic society.
The laws of Moses where attended to institute social order , equity and justice . It consists of status, ordinances, commandments and ecclesiastical laws.
Ecclesiastical laws where subject to changes as society evolved against the backdrop of population increase, avalaibility of resources and perceived external  threats.
It is the flexibility in the implementations of ecclesiastical laws that has open the church to abuse of authority. Especially in the hands of politicians who see the clergy as easy prey in the propagation of material aggrandizement and nepotism.
The misconception of what a blessing is contrary to biblical doctrines has made religious centres according to Jesus Christ a den of thieves. A blessing as defined by scripture is the state of well be spoken of or to experience goodwill.  It is far from materialism as is being preached in many a congregation. Jesus Christ taught that he that wants to be the greatest should be the servant of all. This is the very opposite of a title crazy clergy where service is relegated to the background and work is seen as not of God but as purnishment from God or a curse  . It is common place to hear preachers say that God wants you to work smarter and not harder.
These self acclaimed prophets are known to have multi-million dollar investments and yet discourage their subordinates from gainful employment . Abstinence from work is preached as righteous devotion before God. Our streets are inundatated with young overzealous seers each looking for a politician to prophecy to with the hope of receiving the "prophet's seed " (gratification). The politicians qualifications and antecedents are of no relevants, there have been reported cases of clergymen carting away ballot boxes on election day.
The apostle Paul in second Thessalonians 3.6-12 speaks of preachers being an example to society through hard work "[NLT] 2 Thessalonians 3:12 "We command such people and urge them in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and work to earn their own living. "The concept of full-time ministry is the bane behind the criminality among the clergy with overwhelming tales of woe from victims who have scammed in the name of the lord.
The greatest challenge against rational reasoning is the proliferation of the doctrine of faith premised on experientialism and subjectivity. Pronouncements by these so -called Prophets have taking the place of objective analysis of doctrines. A typical example is the case where 400 prophets led Zedekiah gave the king Ahab the go ahead to prosecute a war against the rational reasoning of prophet Micaiah  1kings22.6 "Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together,  about four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall I go against Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall I  forbear? And they said, Go up; for the Lord shall deliver it into the hand of the king.  7 And  Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of the Lord besides, that we might enquire of him?  8  And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by  whom we may enquire of the Lord: but I hate him; for he doth not prophesy good concerning me, but  evil. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.
9 Then the king of Israel called an officer, and  said, Hasten hither Micaiah the son of Imlah.  10 And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of  Judah sat each on his throne, having put on their robes, in a void place in the entrance of the gate of  Samaria; and all the prophets prophesied before them." 11 And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made  him horns of iron: and he said, Thus saith the Lord, With these shalt thou push the Syrians, until thou  have consumed them.
12 And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramoth- gilead, and  prosper: for the Lord shall deliver it into the king’s hand.  13 And the messenger that was gone to  call Micaiah spake unto him, saying, Behold now, the words of the prophets declare good unto the  king with one mouth: let thy word, I pray thee, be like the word of one of them, and speak that which  is good.  14 And Micaiah said,  As the Lord liveth, what the Lord saith unto me, that will I speak.  15  So he came to the king. And the king said unto him, Micaiah, shall we go against Ramoth-gilead to  battle, or shall we forbear? And he answered him, Go, and prosper: for the Lord shall deliver it into  the hand of the king. 16 And the king said unto him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou tell  me nothing but that which is true in the name of the Lord?  17 And he said, I saw all Israel scattered  upon the hills, as sheep that have not a shepherd: and the Lord said, These have no master: let them  return every man to his house in peace. 18 And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell  thee that he would prophesy no good concerning me, but evil? 19 And he said, Hear thou therefore  the word of the Lord: I saw the Lord sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him  on his right hand and on his ....
34 And a  certain man drew a bow at a venture, and smote the king of Israel between  the joints of the harness: wherefore he said unto the driver of his chariot, Turn thine hand, and carry  me out of the host; for I am wounded. 35 And the battle increased that day: and the king was stayed  up in his chariot against the Syrians, and died at even: and the blood ran out of the wound into the  midst of the chariot. 36 And there went a proclamation throughout the host about the going down of  the sun, saying, Every man to his city, and every man to his own country. 37 So the king died, and  was brought to Samaria; and they buried the king in Samaria. 38 And  one washed the chariot in the  pool of Samaria; and the dogs licked up his blood; and they washed his armour; according unto the  word of the Lord which he spake."
Four hundred megalomaniacs misled the king Ahab to his Waterloo. It is unethical for a preacher to leave his or primary assignment as these prophets did and pitch camp with a leader for material reasons.
The kingdom of God is not all about meats and drinks but righteousness, peace and joy in the holy ghost. Prophets are expected to be the voice of the human conscience. And a token of societal morality , an embodiment of divine justice, equity and love.
Against the backdrop of the multiplicity and incoherence in the prophesies concerning the forth coming elections by so-called men of God ,it behoves  the laity to allow rational reasoning guide their decisions at the ballot box. God is not the author of confusion. Emphasis shouldn't be that a prophet rightly predicted who won an election. the winner may not be approved by God as in the case of king Saul. David was annointed king in line with God's approval. God is concerned about righteous leadership based on equity and justice .
A Christian ruler whose leadership isn't positively felt by the majority of the citizenry does not in anyway glorify God. If a congregation votes in a person into office based on the instructions or preference of the senior pastor and  he or she eventually enters into office, the beneficiaries of his largesse will be the senior pastor and his cronies while the generality of the laity will be relegated to the background in abject poverty. God is not to blame. In acts 6. we were told to vote men of tested wisdom, integrity and the fear of God.
