 GRACE DOES NOT EXIST IN SIZES

  Matt 20:12 KJV ” Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day”.

        Many persons are of the notion that God has favorites among His children upon whom He has bequeathed special gifting or grace than others, thus making these persons the standard for the measurement for success as though we will be going to different heavens . This theology opens the door for the systematic indoctrination and manipulation of God’s people by so-called “super apostles" ( 2Cor.11:5) like the apostle Peter: the first general overseer of the church of Christ ;he was for a moment friendly with the non- Jewish Christians who were traditionally considered as unclean and outcasts by the religious Jews. In the absence of his fellow Jews, Peter ate freely with these non -Jews but whenever he was amongst his tribesmen he treated these non- Jews as outcasts and inferior to the chagrin of apostle Paul who was quick to reprimand him for his hypocritical and unchristian behavior  ( Gal2:11-14). 

   Classification in the church is unchristian: it leads to racism and oppression. Some Christians consider Christians from other tribes or congregation other than theirs as inferior and this idea is approved by their religious leaders. This is ungodly.

   Apostle Paul was not among the first twelve disciples, yet he was used in the most extraordinary manner by God : he wrote more epistles than all the other disciples combined. He attributed this feat to the grace of God that was upon all. The only difference was that he worked harder than the other disciples. He wrote in 1 Cor 15:9-11 NKJV  “For I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all,yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me... .”  Therefore, it is the same grace that has been administered to all of God’s people but different outcome depending on the persons’ willingness to put this grace to work. Faith without work is dead. Grace does not exclude one from hard work yet it is the same grace that’s given to all. It is like ‘Time management’, we all have 24 hours given to us but what we make out of our time will determine our future outcome.  

      The parable in Matthew 20: 1-16 shows us that it is impossible to influence God’s benevolence or grace. We have all come short of God’s rating and regardless of our individual achievements, we need God’s grace and it is equally given. Nobody has more grace than another.John 1:16 AMPsays " For out of His fullness (abundance) we have all received [all had a share and we were all supplied with] one grace after another and spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing and even favor upon favor and gift [heaped] upon gift. God isnt trying to give us grace rather through Jesus Christ we have access to His grace . The same grace manifesting in several ways . Rom 5:2AMP says "Through Him also we have [our] access (entrance, introduction) by faith into this grace (state of God's favor) in which we [firmly and safely] stand. And let us rejoice and exult in our hope of experiencing and enjoying the glory of God." Note , it says 'This grace ' not graces . We are the body of Christ and no part is more blessed or has more grace than the other; that's a carnal way of thinking with dangerous and evil consequences. God would rather want you know that you have heaven's backing in the pursuit of the fulfillment of your divine purpose .

        Regardless of our talents and individual achievements, it is important to know that we complement each other; therefore, there is no need for comparison. The more we humble ourselves to learn from Jesus’ word, the more we discover new dimensions of His grace (James4:6) just like a dedicated student has more information about a course than those who do not read yet they are in the same school with equal opportunities. We have equal opportunities and privileges with God.

2 Kings 7:2 NKJV “ So an officer on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God and said, "Look, if the Lord would make windows in heaven, could this thing be? And he said, "In fact, you shall see it with your eyes, but you shall not eat of it."

   The nation of Samaria was going through a terrible economic recession with people resorting to cannibalism to escape hunger and when they cried to the lord He sent a prophet (a symbol of divine authority) Elisha to the rescue and by the leading of the Holy Spirit he made this declaration in 2 Kings 7:1 NKJV “… Hear the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord:'Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria.'" it meant the most expensive food item will be affordable to the poorest persons in the land within 24hours.This was an impossible task by  man's ability but with God all things are possible.

    The king’ s personal assistant made a mockery of the servant of God and the prophesy by saying except God opened windows in the skies and dropped food, this prophesy would be nothing but a fairy tale.

This assistant was definitely not acquainted with God ’s way of doing things; he was driven by the principle of “ seeing is believing ” but God says we are blessed because we believe regardless of the absence of physical indicators ( John20:29). The king ’s assistant had limited vision of the Spiritual realm and had issues with pride. Mockery is the language of pride and opens the door to disaster; rendering us helpless in times of crisis. It opens the door to demonic activities in our families .Mockers are quick to see the shortcomings in others . They love to laugh at people's failures .

      There must have been some other persons who might have had some doubt just as this government official did but they never said a word against the prophet (2chron20:20). The most devoted of God's servants experiences doubt sometimes.

    God holds us accountable for what we say about ourselves and the devil knows this too well therefore, he often pressurizes us into making evil declarations over our lives when frustrated. It ’s better to keep silent under such circumstances; the scripture says in Prov 21:23 NLT “ Watch your tongue and keep your mouth shut, and you will stay out of trouble. ”

     This is very important in having a stable home. A simple apology to the aggrieved party and prayer for forgiveness reverses the effect of negative utterances in marriages.

        Jesus said in Matt 12:37 NKJV “ For by your words you will be justified and by your words you will be condemned." The word 'condemn' is a Greek word ‘katadikazo ’ which means to ‘adjudge against’. It means the quality and quantity of a man's life is determined by what he or she continually says about himself or herself and others. There is no such thing as an ordinary word. In 2kings 7:18-20 the man of God's predictions came true but the king’ s assistant did not live to enjoy the breakthrough that God brought upon Samaria.

        Most so-called 'deliverance' cases are nothing but the effect of poor communication ethics which can be corrected through a change of friends and godly mentorship but unfortunately we often blame the devil for things he is not capable of doing forgetting that Satan and his demons have been stripped off all their power (Luke10:19,Col 2:15) and all power in heaven and earth belongs to Jesus therefore, at the mention of His awesome miracle working name ,every knee shall bow and this power is in the spirit of the born again Christian and released through the word of faith we speak (Phil2:9-11,Rom10:8) .

SAVING  FAITH IS NOT IN RELIGIOUS PARAPHERNALIA

  John 6:53 KJV “Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.”

John 6:63, "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life."

        Over 60% of Jesus' followers walked out on Him because He said that our spirit, not our flesh, is where our life comes from. This is the meaning of the holy communion. The disciples described it as hard sayings because it was contrary to what  religion teaches. They had a carnal approach in their pursuit of  God's righteousness. It involved ritualistic animal sacrifices and cleansing which they have been practicing for forty-two generations (Matt 1:17) ;it was over a thousand years of going through the motions. They failed to understand that longevity does not  translate to authenticity. An error does not translate into truth through the passage of time, the fact that something has been practiced for a very long period of time does not make it right .Corruption has been practiced for long that does not make it right,  does it ? 

        The carnal worship of God: through the use of religious paraphernalia (bowing to moulded images , carrying pictures of preachers , church stickers, wrist bands, olive oil, communion wine, holy water , coconut, banana  etc) cannot bring about a positive change in the life of those who use them; they only make a person proud and serve as  a smokescreen for many to indulge in shameful deeds: this is a major reason behind many failed marriages, bad governance and poor businesses.. In Christ our deeds are exposed thus giving room for true healing. You cannot heal a concealed wound .

            Therefore, when Jesus said He was indispensable to them (just as food is to the human body) in their quest for true salvation, these religious folks became agitated because this kind of doctrine invalidates what they have grown to accept as a true way of life. Rejecting truth leads to a life without peace .This is evident in many religious homes :lack of peace and strife in families is the effect of practicing man-made religion with there various paraphernalia. 

             The born again experience is a life-changing experience :it cannot be faked. It is emotional, intellectual, argumentative, intuitive and undeniable . Lives are transformed for the good through this life transformation process where Jesus Christ exchanges your old life for His :resulting in a loss of appetite for the old ways. 

              Many persons have actually been freed from their addictions to destructive tendencies after receiving God’s word into their hearts. They received a new kind of consciousness of righteousness, peace and joy. This new consciousness generates integrity, dignity, peace and virtuous living. 

         The word of God is of no benefit to the carnally minded ; that is why a lot of persons claim they cannot comprehend the bible. The bible is a physical container carrying the truth of God’s word. This truth can only be deciphered in the human Spirit by the power of the Holy Ghost. Every letter in the bible was inspired by the Holy Ghost and is spirit and life (2Pet 1:21).  When we receive the word , it comes alive in our hearts and gives us the ability to live according to God’s will. That is why before Satan destroys a Christian, he will induce him or her to reject the sound teachings of God’s word through an unhealthy

pursuit of money, social influence, love ,sex, food etc (Hosea 4:6, 1peter2:1, 1john2:16, James1:14) but when we turn to the Word, we are quickened (made alive, vitalized) by the Holy Spirit to accomplish great things and live a robust victorious life to the glory of the Father.

  Matt 15:13-14 “And he replied, "Every plant that my heavenly Father did not plant will be uprooted.”

        The scriptures describes the exodus of the Jews from Egypt in Exodus 12:38 KJV “And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle.” The word ‘mixed’ is the Hebrew word `ereb’ which means Arabia or the mongrel race. God loved them even when they did not know him and he had no covenant with them and their influence on the Israelites marred their journey to the promise land. They were predominantly idol worshipers and Israel soon got caught up in the act of idol worshiping.  

            The same scenario played out on the day of Pentecost in Acts 1:6 the Apostle Peter described the crowd that were gathered as ‘Men’ and ‘Brethren’. The church has persons with a personal agenda. There are those who profess Christ openly but are not committed to Him in anyway (Matthews15:8). They have a self-centered agenda. Jesus describes these persons in Matthews 13:25-40 as ‘tares.’ The tare is a crop that looks much like wheat and competes with it for nutrients. 'Tares' are Satan's agents in disguise with the mission to steal our Joy. There is as much risk of being defrauded in a business or marriage relationship in the church as much as it is in the world, therefore , caution should be taken in our dealings  .

            'Tares' operate in two ways, first they dilute the gospel by compromising the truth with secular ideologies thus removing  its life-changing power and secondly they pollute the church with an alien culture  that makes the church appear harmful to would-be converts.

 Lord Jesus showed us how to identify these persons . They are corrupt ,  addicted to disputes and measure godliness by how much money a person has ( 1Timothy 6:5) They are allergic to truth and easily take offense when confronted with the righteous gospel. Jesus did not apologize for hurting their feelings like many preachers seeking fame do today. Making the gospel sound appealing will not change ‘tares’. They hate truth, the scriptures says in John 3:20-21 TLB “They hated the heavenly Light because they wanted to sin in the darkness. They stayed away from that Light for fear their sins would be exposed and they would be punished. But those doing right come gladly to the Light to let everyone see that they are doing what God wants them to." therefore , no teacher of truth should take offense as a result of the backlash from disenchanted parishioners :it is normal. The Word of God teaches that in the last days, men shall lose interest in sound doctrine of the scriptures.. False brethren seek for congregations that promote falsehood were the conscience will be silenced, the scriptures say in  2 Timothy 4:3-4 TLB “For there is going to come a time when people won't listen to the truth but will go around looking for teachers who will tell them just what they want to hear. They won't listen to what the Bible says but will  follow their own misguided ideas.”

           Jesus kept on teaching those hard-to- hear teachings in a bid to expose these false brethren. In Galatians 5:19-21 Apostle Paul repeatedly spoke on the characteristics of false brethren .False preachers despise studying and the open reading of Galatians 5:19-21 to their congregation for fear of being exposed. Paul recommends the regular reading of this scripture as a means of ensuring the security of the brethren against impostors.    

  Marriage to a Christian is no guarantee for a peaceful home because ‘tares’ often disguise themselves as disciples. Only a relentless teaching of the truth of the gospel can protect one against false suitors. Showing benevolence in place of teaching only makes  matters worse ,Isaiah 26:10 NKJV says“ Let grace be shown to the wicked, Yet he will not learn righteousness; In the land of uprightness he will deal unjustly,  And will not behold the majesty of the Lord.”  Benevolence does not make a person righteous.

"After all, you think you are so wise, but you enjoy putting up with fools! You put up with it when someone enslaves you, takes everything you have, takes advantage of you, takes control of everything, and slaps you in the face. I’m ashamed to say that we’ve been too “weak” to do that! But whatever they dare to boast about—I’m talking like a fool again—I dare to boast about it, too." 

2 Corinthians 11:19‭-‬21 NLT Bible  

"SomeWeeople work wisely with knowledge and skill, then must leave the fruit of their efforts to someone who hasn’t worked for it. This, too, is meaningless, a great tragedy. So what do people get in this life for all their hard work and anxiety? Their days of labor are filled with pain and grief; even at night their minds cannot rest. It is all meaningless. So I decided there is nothing better than to enjoy food and drink and to find satisfaction in work. Then I realized that these pleasures are from the hand of God. For who can eat or enjoy anything apart from him?  God gives wisdom, knowledge, and joy to those who please him. But if a sinner becomes wealthy, God takes the wealth away and gives it to those who please him. This, too, is meaningless—like chasing the wind." Ecclesiastes 2:21‭-‬26 NLT Bible 

The above scriptures speaks of the futility in the pursuits of human achievements outside God's purpose   and teaches that boasting about human achievements is unwise . Unfortunately , the reverse is the case amongst many Christians and this is a major turnoff for would-be new converts . Apostle Paul speaks of the extortion ,abuse and exploitation of the church by preachers who enrich themselves at the expense of gullible followers: they teach that godliness is equivalent to human achievements and wealth accumulation. This is the reason behind the poverty in Africa by a highly placed network of economic saboteurs.

  We eventually leave all our achievements ( earthly possessions ) to persons who did not labour for them, that is what happens at death or when a success plan fails . There is no heavenly reward for wealth accumulation and fame . 

   The thoughts of this inevitable end of all mankind is the reason behind the misery amongst the so-called successful and those who crave for success  . The ultimate object of all human pursuits is peace and joy and it is more frustrating when haven attained an appreciable level of success and yet a person is still miserable (Revelation 3:17) due to the fear of the unknown. 

  Joy and peace comes from the inside ( the born again human Spirit ) not from the outside  . False prophets teach that a person's happiness is dependent on the magnitude of their human achievements. This results in pride , insecurity, low self esteem , marital failures , alcoholism,  hard drug abuse covetousness and misery.  

  This theology is contrary to the truth of the gospel , it is the reasons why some of the most miserable persons on earth are those claiming to be religious . Peace of mind and joy is attained  by faith . It takes what the bible calls the good fight of faith to achieve this . It is a fight within you that involves telling yourself ' joy and peace comes from the inside not from the outside'  and asking the Holy Spirit to saturate your mind with his peace . "..Pursue righteousness and a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness. Fight the good fight for the true faith. Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you, which you have declared so well before many witnesses. 1 Timothy 6:11‭-‬12 NLT Bible  

    Whatever you are pursuing in life determines the level of peace and joy you will experience  , therefore , Pursue after righteousness . What makes the fight of faith good is that victory is guaranteed regardless of the outcome in our circumstances.

"Don’t rob the poor just because you can, or exploit the needy in court. For the Lord is their defender. He will ruin anyone who ruins them. " Proverbs 22:22‭-‬23 NLT

   Jesus Christ came to save humanity from the hands of Satan and his agents . The believer in Jesus Christ is anointed for a purpose as stated in Isaiah 61:1 " The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, for the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed." Isaiah 61:1 NLT. 

  We are the closest thing the oppressed can come close to in connecting we God. When the church is polluted with corruption , it becomes powerless in saving the oppressed and becomes a tool in the hands of the devil.  The prophet Micah speaks of a conspiracy between a corrupted clergy with political leaders to oppress the weak . God promises to punish these preachers . The bible says " You rulers make decisions based on bribes; you priests teach God’s laws only for a price; you prophets won’t prophesy unless you are paid. Yet all of you claim to depend on the Lord. “No harm can come to us,” you say, “for the Lord is here among us.” Micah 3:11 NLT This is the major reason behind misgovernment in Africa where these preachers thrive. 

   Despite this God will deliver the weak from the oppressors . " The godly care about the rights of the poor; the wicked don’t care at all. " Proverbs 29:7 NLT  God will raise messiahs with a mandate to " Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed. Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless, and see that they get justice. " Proverbs 31:8‭-‬9 NLT

   The oppression of one person is the beginning of oppressor all. The preacher who collects bribes to promote injustice will also suffer the effect of the same injustice , the bible says " A person who gets ahead by oppressing the poor or by showering gifts on the rich will end in poverty. " Proverbs 22:16 NLT

    Justice delayed is justice denied " Don’t be surprised if you see a poor person being oppressed by the powerful and if justice is being miscarried throughout the land. For every official is under orders from higher up, and matters of justice get lost in red tape and bureaucracy. " Ecclesiastes 5:8 NLT God's people should pray and work towards the speedy execution justice in the land to avoid an increase in evil . "When a crime is not punished quickly, people feel it is safe to do wrong." Ecclesiastes 8:11 NLT 

  The the bible says ": It is wrong to show favoritism when passing judgment. A judge who says to the wicked, “You are innocent,” will be cursed by many people and denounced by the nations.* Proverbs 24:23‭-‬24 NLT in our daily prayers declare God's word over your community , says "He will give justice to the poor and make fair decisions for the exploited. The earth will shake at the force of his word, and one breath from his mouth will destroy the wicked. " Isaiah 11:4 NLT

.1 Cor 9:18-21 NLT “Under this circumstance, what is my pay? It is the special joy I get from preaching the Good News without expense to anyone, never demanding my rights. And this has a real advantage: I am not bound to obey anyone just because he pays my salary; yet I have freely and happily become a servant of any and all so that I can win them to Christ. When I am with the Jews I seem as one of them so that they will listen to the Gospel and I can win them to Christ. 

     When I am with Gentiles who follow Jewish customs and ceremonies I don't argue, even though I don't agree, because I want to help them. When with the heathen I agree with them as much as I can, except of course that I must always do what is right as a Christian. And so, by agreeing, I can win their confidence and help them too.”  

  Here the Apostle Paul shows what it takes to be an effective disciple of Christ: adaptation and respect for individual rights and liberties without compromising on one’s belief in the lordship of Jesus Christ was the key to his success in ministry. The church experienced true growth in grace and the knowledge of the Lord. He was both efficient and effective in the ministry of the gospel. The difference between being effective and efficient is seen between using an air conditioner and a fan in a hot weather. The fan is an efficient means of circulating hot air thus creating a cooling effect. On the other the air conditioner removes the heat and one could actually be cold in a hot weather. This is an effective means of climate control. Tolerance brings about effective church growth which is the key to societal reform , effective church growth brings about increase in the word of God in the community and reduction in crime rates : the word of God saves.

       True church growth is not measured by how many persons there are in our auditoriums but how many less sinners there are in the community. Church growth was not how many persons were in Paul's meetings but who much less sinners were in the community (Acts19:20). Paul was not into Church building projects but Christ being formed in the hearts of his followers (Gal.4:19). This is the effect of tolerance for others. Effective evangelism requires being tolerant of other people’s custom even if it runs at variance with yours. Paul mentioned , heathens as part of his target , a people that may probably have no place in our sophisticated church settings today that thrive on an efficient principle of evangelism that encourages the promotion of name brands and self ego and growth based on societal trends without any spiritual transformation and improvement in the morality of society and an escalating intolerance among citizens. Paul showed great tolerance with those who opposed him , he achieved this by concentrating on the good in others. (Phil 1:15-18,4:8) There is something good about our opponents if we look well enough. Our opinion about others should be premised on their virtues , not their weaknesses considering the fact that we have errors too.

        Tolerance comes from putting yourself in the other person’s shoes, if out of our self-righteousness we become intolerant of others; we are committing a worse sin before the lord (Lev.19:34a,Matt 7:2-5) This does not mean we should be tolerant of deliberate evil doing by others haven realized the truth of the gospel for that runs contrary to God’s righteousness (Psalm101:3-5)God is slow to anger however , it is a terrible thing to fall into the lord’s judgment (Isaiah63:9-10, Matt:18:15-17,Rom16:17) Such persons should be avoided as much as possible but not hated (1Cor.5:11).

1 Cor 3:3-4 KJV “… for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?

       Tolerance is a willingness to accept feelings, habits, or beliefs that are different from your own. : the ability to accept, experience, or survive something harmful or unpleasant. In the Bible patience, long-suffering, forbearance are closely linked to tolerance with others.

        There are over a hundred thousand tribes and cultures around the world ; each struggling for survival and seeking prominence and relevance , therefore, it is no wonder that there seem to be divisions among God’s people as a result of the variance  in traditional values. It is for that reason that Jesus instituted the law of sacrificial love for one’s neighbor even as He loved us: it is the only law to be followed by all believers of Jesus Christ.  Customs and traditions of men are often in conflict with each other and therefore cannot be accepted as the divine moral code. Salvation does not come through the observance of traditional laws and customs; they promote hate and pride (Col.2:19-23).

     Unfortunately, some Christians tend to uphold traditional values ( laws of their local church congregation) above the laws of Christ. This was the case of the Church in Corinth . They made the word of God of none effect through their promotion of sectarianism and bigotry , they became intolerant of each other : this weakened the spread of the gospel thus giving Satan the advantage.    

  Being tolerant requires patience, perseverance and forgiving others, this is easy to accomplish when we consider how patient God is with our sins and errors and that there is never a winner in any dispute .Disputes results in mutual losses, therefore, forgiveness remains the best option (Matthew 18:21’22,Luke17:4). Great leaders and teachers of the gospel have distinguished themselves by possessing an extraordinary degree of patience and tolerance for others (2Corinthians. 6:4-6) by seeking for areas of agreement and common grounds they understand with those who are weaker while seeking for loving ways to build them up (Romans. 15:1-2, Galatians6:1).

   Being tolerant means being considerate and loving others who differ from us except when it comes to doubt and sowing seeds of hatred and discord. (Matthews.5:43-47. Romans 12:18, Romans14:2-6.) Intolerance shows spiritual immaturity (1Cor.3:1-5) . Mature Christians are able to influence others through prayer instead of trying to impose one’s idea over others . By asking God to open the eyes of the understanding of the uninformed  , we avoid the disaster that follows seeking to control our neighbor, spouses etc.(Philippians .3:15)

Dan 6:18 NIV“Then the king returned to his palace and spent the night without eating and without any entertainment being brought to him. And he could not sleep.”

         Daniel was among the captives taken to Babylon by king Nebuchadnezzar in 605 B.C where he served in the government for about sixty years ; he served in four administrations with four kings and was the envy of all. In their jealousy his coworkers mounted a campaign of calumny against him and though they searched for a flaw in his character, they could not come up with any damnable evidence .Daniel was conscientious in his duty and was adjudged wise, faithful and meticulous.   

         Through daily prayers and meditation on God’s Word he lived a disciplined life. We are admonished to render service not for accolades but as a duty towards God. The scriptures says in Ephesians 6:5-7 AMP “Servants , be obedient to those who are your physical masters, having respect for them and eager concern to please them, in singleness of motive and with all your heart, as [service] to Christ [Himself] — Not in the way of eye-service [as if they were watching you] and only to please men, but as servants (slaves) of Christ, doing the will of God heartily and with your whole soul; Rendering service readily with goodwill, as to the Lord and not to men,”  God deserves our worship regardless of our status; we should not be ashamed to show our devotion openly. Failure to do so results in a fall in grace and painful temptations. Your success will always evoke hatred from ungodly competitors and the only way to please the crowd is through compromise and failure .

     Your oppressors will never have rest of mind. Do not be deceived by their boastings of being prosperous (Read Psalms 73)  ; it's merely a cover for the life of misery they have been sentenced to (Psalm 73:1-27, Rev 3:17). There is no peace for the wicked (Isa.57:21).  Darius knew no peace after his fatal choice to destroy Daniel. Those frustrating your progress and seeking for your destruction shall be wasted (Isaiah 60:12) yes , they shall not know peace. That is the portion of that fellow who says until you pay a bribe you won't be given what is rightfully yours or illegally deducting from your salaries.

           The world defines peace as the absence of problems: it is unsustainable . However, God's peace is not a function of our circumstances. Peace is a fruit of the Holy Spirit only given to them that obey God ,the righteous (Galatians.5:22, Hebrews. 13:8). We can have great peace even in the midst of terrible problems through our faith in Jesus Christ. "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee" (Isa. 26:3).  God promises peace in John 14:27 AMP “Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.] Do not panic ! for the plans of the wicked against you shall boomerang against them.

 Prov. 18:22 “Whosoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favour of the Lord”

         Marriage is God's plan for a godly family .  The Christian family is a microcosm of God's family with the husband representing the heavenly Father , the wife :Christ and the children :the body of believers. God's family is a homogeneous indivisible entity.   God places much premium on the family because it is how nations are formed. Stability in a nation starts with stable families: the result of a godly man being married to a godly woman. Sad families produce bitter citizens and an unstable country therefore, nation building and stability begins at the family level.

         A godly woman is gracious and honorable (Proverbs. 11:16)  honours elders ,this is usually the first thing you' will notice about a godly woman ,  she recognizes the blessing in greetings and salutations (Luke 1:41)

      She makes her husband proud ,. Proverbs 12:4 NLT says "A worthy wife is a crown for her husband, but a disgraceful woman is like cancer in his bones." she never diminishes his worth in the public domain and  commits herself to praying for his well-being and progress.

   She is full of wisdom, knowledge  and understanding (Proverbs. 19:14b) and depends on God for sustenance (Romans.1:17).  She is kindhearted  Proverbs 31:26 NLT says "When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness." she is courteous and does not use vulgar language in her speech.

    She is hard-working and abhors idleness Proverbs 31:19 NLT says "Her hands are busy spinning thread, her fingers twisting fiber."  She is also a philanthropist Proverbs 31:20 NLT says "She extends a helping hand to the poor and opens her arms to the needy" she is a shrewd businesswoman , not a wasteful spender who lives above her means  Proverbs 31:16 NLT says "She goes to inspect a field and buys it; with her earnings she plants a vineyard.". She is a light to the ungodly, through her services ,the ungodly are attracted to the kingdom of God.

  An ungodly wife is  loud-mouthed , stubborn and  often neglects her home (Proverbs. 7:11) She is idle and has no time to study the scriptures, wandering from house to house,a busybody and a  tattler , (1Timothy 5:13. )She invests more on her physical appearance than on godly virtues .She is unattracted to the teaching of the gospel.  Beauty cannot save a marriage from failing but a godly character obtained from sound teachings can (Proverbs 11;22, Prov. 31:30) character is achieved by having godly mentors to whom one is accountable to and regular  fellowship with God's people; more time and resources should be spent  on developing a meek and quiet spirit than on fashion. Fashion is a creation from God designed to attract man to God and not for self ego (1Peter 3:3-5)

      Some of the godly wife's duties include being a ready , exciting and an enriching companion to her husband Prov. 31;11, Mal 2:14b she does so lovingly without complaints while pleasing her  husband (Prov. 31:12 Titus. 2:4, 1 Cor.7:34b) and because of the loving relationship between them she has no problem submitting to his authority because failure to do so hinders prayers from being answered Col. 3:18. ; ICor.11:3, 1Cor.11:8,9,

Eph 5:33b,  .These virtues are not limited to women only : men inclusive , for in Christ Jesus the sexes  have equal standing with God. Gal 3:28 says "There ...is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus."

 Mark 7:19 “Food doesn't go into your heart, but only passes through the stomach and then goes into the sewer." (By saying this, he declared that every kind of food is acceptable in God's eyes.)”

            Many persons are condemned for their choice of food by religious folks but Jesus never did during His earthly work. Dietary laws were instituted under the Old Testament as a demonstration of the commitment of the Jews to live as God’s chosen people. Lev 11:12 NIV says “Anything living in the water that does not have fins and scales is to be detestable to you.”  This means foods like squids; octopus, (all forms of shell fish e.g periwinkles and oysters), shrimps or lobsters, catfish, etc most of which are delicacies among Christians and camel meat (Deut 14:7) are an abomination according to the old testament.  

           The Old Testament was a shadow of what was to come, that is, Christ ; perfection could not be attained through the observance of these laws. The scriptures say in Hebrews 10:1-2 “.... they were never able to provide perfect cleansing for those who came to worship.” These dietary laws could not take a person to heaven because only the perfect and Holy can enter. Therefore, until Jesus came and paid for our sins ( past, present, future) ,nobody had access to heaven. If these rules and regulations could make a person perfect once and for all, there would not have been any need to practice them repeatedly. 

            The human heart is the center of consciousness and cannot be corrupted by the sins we observe on television, radio, internet neither can it be corrupted by food items.If observing sin could make a person a sinner then God who sees all sins would be a sinner. Sin is the product of a rebellious heart; it takes a corrupt heart with the nature of Satan in it to produce sin. The scriptures says 1 John 3:8 NKJV “He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil” Jesus destroyed the work of Satan when He paid for all sins (present, past , future) with His sinless blood . From that moment the dominion of sin over us was destroyed once and for all. When we receive Jesus Christ as lord and saviour, His blood washes away sin from our hearts thus making us holy . Our capacity to sin (rebellion against God) is destroyed once and for all and we are declared free from all charges that were against us(Heb10:10,Col2:13-14).

            The born again child of God cannot sin (rebel ) against God anymore; they are protected by an “immunity clause” that exempts them from all charges before God. The scriptures says  1 John 3:9 NKJV “Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God (emphasis mine).” As hard as this may be seem to some religious folks, it is the absolute truth. What the italicized clause means is that God has chosen never to accuse or condemn us because of Jesus Christ (Romans.8:1-3,John5:24)

          In Acts 11:7-10 NKJV Jesus instructed Peter… 'Rise, Peter; kill and eat.'  But I said, 'Not so, Lord! For nothing common or unclean has at any time entered my mouth.' But the

voice answered me again from heaven, 'What God has cleansed you must not call common.. Peter was instructed by Jesus to eat religiously unclean foods e.g pork, lobsters, snakes etc. because he was under a new dispensation where food does not make a person unholy. Romans NIV 14:14-15 says “As one who is in the Lord Jesus, I am fully convinced that no food is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for him it is unclean.” Under the New Testament all foods are clean though it is no license for food and substance abuse. Our body is the temple of the Holy Ghost and should be treated with the utmost care.

DOCTRINE OF DOMINION DESTROYS MARRIAGES AND COMMUNITIES

Mathew 20:24-28"And  when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation against the  two brethren. But Jesus called them  unto him, and said,  Ye know  that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and  they that are great exercise authority upon them. But it shall not  be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be  your minister;  And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be  your servant:  Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered  unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many."

      The word 'dominion'  used here is the Greek word 'katakurieuo';  it means: to lord against, i.e. control, subjugate, overcome. Synonyms of dominion include :   ascendance (also ascendence), ascendancy (also ascendency), dominance, domination, hegemony, imperium, predominance, predominancy, preeminence, reign, sovereignty(also sovranty), supremacy. This was the inspiration behind the slave trade era and corruption in government , it  gives no room for love. 

  It was first mentioned in Genesis 1:26&28 where the first human Adam was given dominion over God’s creation. It never included humans as there were none other than Adam and one cannot exercise dominion over oneself.  The next time we see the emergence of this word is in Genesis 27:40 "And by thy sword shalt thou live, and shalt serve thy brother; and it shall come to pass when thou shalt have the dominion, that thou shalt break his yoke from off thy neck." and here it was used as a consequence and corrective measure to a negative circumstance. Esau fell victim of his covetous younger brother's Jacob’s trap. And lost his birthright. Dominion was therefore a corrective measure under this situation . Here the word 'dominion ' is the Hebrew word ' ruwd' which means to tramp about, i.e. ramble (free or disconsolate) or rebel against. Esau overcame his brother's influence over him and prospered (Gen.33.9)

     English dictionary defines tramp as :vagabond, loose, walk,prostitute. Therefore, it was by rebellion that Esau  broke free from his brother's oppression.  That's what happens when dominion is preached as a virtue in the church, it leads to disunity, terrorism and fragmentation in families and communities . Tramping is become a way of life for many Christians . They

struggles with being committed to a relationship in church, marriage, business, job. Dominion theology is a negative stimuli which always elicits negative reactions wherever it is promoted. It destroys marriages and results in rebellion. It is the philosophy

behind racism .

      The doctrine of dominion promotes covetousness and an insatiable craving for wealth,it creates fear in  non-Christians and resistance against the gospel  just as Esau was against  a dominion -driven Jacob.Dominion leads to hatred (Gen.37:8 ) because humans are not created to be dominated but loved.

     Under the new testament, Jesus abolished the theology of dominion claiming it is synonymous with paganism. Unfortunately, this teaching is taught in the church as a virtue with some leaders playing god and demanding some form of obeisance before rendering help .This is contrary to the teachings of Jesus Christ Christ (2Cor.1:24, Acts 10:25-26,Eph5:21,Col.3:13) . This is behind the impunity by leadership , racism, political gangsterism, tribalism , slavery and increase in prostitution among believers .

       Those who seek public office are to do so for the sole purpose of rendering selfless service and not dominion over others. Jesus demonstrated this when he instructed his disciples to feed the multitude: none of them ate until everyone else was fed. He taught that a person's relevance was achieved through the pursuit of responsibilities not money and titles. We should always pray to be given a servant's heart, it is what God prices.

 Ephesians 6:13 AMP ” Therefore put on God's complete armor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger],having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place].

 Exodus 12:22-23 “ Drain the blood into a basin. Then take a bundle of hyssop branches and dip it into the blood. Brush the hyssop across the top and sides of the doorframes of your houses. And no one may go out through the door until morning.”

   Faith always demands corresponding action in line with one’s expectation. The bible describes faith as the substance of that hoped for and evidence of that not seen . For example , the person who wants to produce ice blocks from a freezer  looks at the water in a cup but sees ice . To him the water in a cup and the freezer are the substance of the ice hoped for and the evidence of the ice blocks not yet seen . Armed with this information he proceeds to make ice from the freezer.

     Faith teaches that man has a role to play in every act of divine breakthrough. In Exodus 12 , the Israelites where given specific instructions to protect themselves against an impending plague.  The plague was the consequence of Pharaoh’s rebellion against God’s word. Rebelling against God’s word removes a person from God’s protective cover. This gives room for the enemy to strike.

    To protect themselves from the disaster, they were to mark the lintels of their homes with blood from the sacrificed animal (a type of Christ )  and by so doing they were protected from the plague . The governing authority then was Moses and his brother Aaron. Preservation starts with recognizing the ruling authority (Ephesians 6:1-2) , they are given to preserve history , maintain law and order  , provide for  and protect us from harm . 

     Their obedience to the ruling authority was all that was needed to save them . Haven prayed in the time of crisis we are to pay attention to the governing authority in the church and civil government. Through their collaborative effort we are saved from crisis.  There were Egyptians  and persons from other nations that were in those homes . They were saved by grace through faith in the power of the blood of the sacrificed animal . God does not reject those who sincerely seek for His help in the time of crisis . 

   They stood their ground in that evil day of danger having done all the crisis demands while trusting God to save them .  The law of conscience demands that we convince ourselves that we have done all that is humanly possible to survive as proof of our faith . Faith must agree with conscience to be active .

Prayer : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins , I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my sins , I receive him as lord and savior and receive the Holy spirit and grace and the seal of protection against disaster in Jesus name.

Matt 21:31” Which of the two did the will of the father? They replied, The first one. Jesus said to them, Truly I tell you, the tax collectors and the harlots will get into the kingdom of heaven before you.” AMP

Luke 13:23-24 "Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able to enter."

      Many self-righteous folks will seek to enter the kingdom of God and shall not be able to enter not because God refused salvation to anyone.  "God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Pet. 3:9)."The grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men . . ." (Titus. 2:11) It is the will of God for all mankind to be saved. Jesus said the process of salvation is so easy that commercial sex workers would have a fair chance just as much as anyone else. Sinners may suffer the harmful consequences of sin on earth but escape the eternal consequences through faith in Christ. Self-righteous folks will fail to enter heaven because they think salvation is by self-effort. Many religious folks will miss heaven. 

       Our loyalty to God will always demand work or some kind of effort however , none of it is sufficient to gain salvation. Salvation is a free gift from God (Rom. 5:15);and we have to consciously resist any doctrine that tends to make it look otherwise ; this is what spiritual warfare is all about and its a good fight in which we are guaranteed overwhelming victory (1 Tim. 6:12) No matter what happens, we win.  Faith in Jesus' goodness is what determines our salvation .Our good deeds only benefits us and our communities;they are  of no relevance to our salvation (  Job35:1-9,  Gal 2:16).

     We do not have to live our lives trying to please God with the hope to enter heaven. Doing this exposes us to Satan’s antics who constantly seeks for ways to destroy our faith by always reminding  us of our shortcomings. We have received the gift of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ and should earnestly hold on to this truth . This involves a life commitment to simply love God and your neighbor as yourself.

  Extreme  devotion to religious activities will not lead to salvation. Satan participates in religious gatherings too (Job1:6). Demon possessed persons preach about God, prophesy and work miracles too (Acts16:17) . But salvation is having a one-of-a-kind personal relationship with the Lord and it  is not transferable . You must be born again and those who hunger and thirst after righteousness shall be filled (Mathew. 5:6). "Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Regardless of what you have done, you have an unlimited access to God and he will never reject the repentant sinner.

It’s better to live alone in the corner of an attic than with a quarrelsome wife in a lovely home. Proverbs 21:9 NLT Anger if not controlled results in painful divorce and Separations. If you no longer communicate with your partner as before when you met chances are the seed of anger has started growing opening the doors for Satan and his demons into your home. Always think about the implications of saying a thing before

speaking and be quick to apologize when you say the wrong things . Be accountable to a mature christian minister and pray for fresh love for each other everyday . 

 Reading the psalms loud and praise worship sessions  especially among other believers melts anger ( Psalm 34:1)  . In our daily prayers we should ask the Lord for the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit in our  lives  and meditate on Galatians 5:22 

" But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. "

YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN

Gen 19:29 KJV  “And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt”

         The word “remembered” as used in this verse of scripture is the Hebrew word ‘Zakar’, it means; to mark for the purpose of recognition. To better understand the context in which this word is used; imagine a midwife in a maternity ward taking records of women who are about to deliver , she marks each women by writing on their file with an expected delivery time and when a woman is due she requests the woman be moved to the labour room to be delivered of her baby. In this situation, the women were not forgotten but put  into a delivery program. God is everywhere and in everything and cannot forget anything.

     Scriptures are best understood when read  from a logical and contextual perspective. God cannot be said to be all-good, all-benevolent, all- knowing and at the same time forgetful to the point of requiring a reminder from a creation of His. We are the center of His affection; the scripture says in Ps 34:15 NKJV “The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their cry.” God will never neglect your prayers, He will never forsake you, He admonishes us in Heb 13:5 TLB  to “Stay away from the love of money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, "I will never, never fail you nor forsake you.” a financial crisis in one's life is not an indication of being forgotten. All adversity on earth are man-made and can only be stopped when we turn to God's way of doing things.

         God is not obligated to answer our prayers based on how we want them answered; He answers  according to His will. A case in point is that of the three Hebrew boys who refused to worship king Nebuchadnezzar’s image (Dan 3:10-30). Most persons would wish God intervened before they were thrown into the flames but God had a different plan in line with His Word in Isaiah Isa 43:2 TLB “When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up-the flames will not consume you.” No matter how difficult your situation may seem, God is in it with you and will bring you out of it (Psalm 91;15) 

        Most  delays in the answer to our prayers are determined by how soon we eliminate the hindrances to answered prayers, they include: fighting for what we want instead of asking( James. 4:2), asking with selfish motives( James. 4:3), asking while making a practice of sin despite repeated warnings by the Holy Ghost (Ps, 66:18, Isa. 59:1-2), playing deaf to the cry of the poor (Pr. 21:13) rebellion against parents, guardians and God’s servants (Mica 3:2-4,Eph.6:1-3) , disobedience against known commands of God (Ps. 28:5), bearing an unforgiving spirit (Matt 18. 23-35, Mark 11) , the lack of faith in God’s word (Heb. 11:6, Jam. 1:6),keeping secret idols in  our heart (Ezek. 14:1-3) engaging in family feuds (I Pet.3:7) pornography (Job 31.1,8-10) and the unwillingness to engage in hard work (2Thes 3:10) and their likes.

               God will not deny us any good thing neither does He answer only at midnight nor when prayers are made in certain geographical locations by making pilgrimages  (John4:21). He is not bound by time or seasons (Mark11:13) in answering our prayers. God’s love for us is unconditional, however, the faith required to receive from him works under certain conditions. It requires a loving atmosphere (Gal 5:6) and perseverance to be fully active, therefore let us allow our hearts be filled with His love at all times .In Christ we are guaranteed answers to our prayers; He said in John 16:24 NKJV.“Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.”

         Luke 11:11 - "If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?"
        The statistics of victims of parental abuse is on the increase .Most victims suffer verbal, physical , emotional and even sexual abuse and the worst of them all , spiritual abuse (parental curses ,exposure to mediums ,false prophets and other demonic activities) Abuse leaves a bitter, long- lasting  impressions on us and forms part of the building block of a human being from where character is formed. This results in  an overwhelming fear of the unknown and suspicions , consequently , we are most inclined to embrace doubt instead of godly faith and become more tolerant to falsehood than truth; this is the reason behind so many failed relationships .
   One of the consequences of  parental abuse is the inability to  trust God's ability to provide for us  ,we are quick to adduce all manner of reasons for not receiving from God instead of putting our trust in His unfailing love. We have been trained to trust in self instead of God and haven been exposed for so long to other victims of abuse, the concept of true love is seen as an illusion by many . Research shows that abused persons in turn become abusers themselves with an insatiable craving for self-pity with a self- entitlement mentality . Persons who were abused in their childhood have a penchant for abusing persons publicly without restrain : it's a way of relieving emotional pains but a very shameful act. 
          Our salvation by Jesus Christ was not out of pity or  a lack of choices by our maker and Creator. He saved us because He loved us (John 3:16). It was the "good pleasure of his will" for us to become adopted sons and joint heirs in the family of God Rom 8:17” And since we are His children, we will share His treasures- for all God gives to His Son Jesus is now ours too.TLB (Eph.1:5). We are desired and accepted by our heavenly Father. Hallelujah!
     None of us truly deserve to be forgiven by God however, beyond mere forgiveness we are given the same rights and privileges due Jesus Christ , this of cause is beyond all expectations but He did it anyways out of His good pleasure because of His unconditional love for us.
      Precious and dearly loved child of God,  you occupy a special place in God's heart, and He has gladly chosen you as a member of His royal family{1Pet.2:9}. The Lord does not just tolerate us; He actually loves us and rejoices over us with joy (Zeph. 3:17).
   We are expected to daily walk in the consciousness of God's love for us. Whenever we acknowledge His love, the chains of self pity, bitterness ,rejection, frustration , fear of the unknown , depression are demolished . 
Prayer : Heavenly Father, forgive me of my sins against you, I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation and I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and grace for uncommon access to your provisions in Jesus name.

YOU HAVE ACCESS TO UNLIMITED POWER

   Ephesians 3:20 " Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,"

      The word 'according' as used in this text  is the Greek word 'Kata' : it means: beyond measure,far more exceeding, natural, mightily . Therefore, what this means is that the child of God has unlimited power within him or her to bring about the manifestation of a miracle beyond expectations. Our true strength is immeasurable and mighty through God.  The power of God does not exist in measures, therefore, we are fully loaded with unlimited power for a victorious life.

      The doctrine that says some persons are more powerful contradicts John 3:34" For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him." The anointing does not exist in sizes ; you are either anointed or not : all Spirit-filled born again Christians are anointed (John15:16) with unlimited power (Acts1:8).The anointing is in you this very moment , it does not sleep nor diminish (1John2;27)

        The burden of the working of miracles is exclusively within the purview of the workings of the Holy Spirit. He is the miracle worker and uses persons or things as He pleases.  The scriptures says in 1cor.12:10" To another the working of miracles; to another  prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of  tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:  But all these  worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man  severally as he will".

        Nobody or group of persons have the monopoly of the Holy Spirit and He does not reside in a church or christian ministry. The reverse is the case, we live in Him, just as fishes live in the ocean.  The ocean passes through them even in death. Acts 17: 28 says  "For in him we live, and move, and have our  being; ....." God does not live in a cathedral, therefore it is erroneous to refer to a building  as the house , sanctuary or tabernacle of God ,Acts 17:24 says " God that  made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of  heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;"

           The scriptures says "without me ye can do nothing "(John 15:5) therefore, God does not work miracles according to how powerful a preacher is : there is no such thing as a powerful preacher , rather a powerful God expressing Himself through men .When a preacher arrogates so much power to himself he soon falls into Satan's trap like the fellows in Matthew 7:22 -23 "Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in  thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name  done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I  never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." they  placed more emphasis on the working of miracles than in the development of christian character through a personal relationship with the Holy Ghost. They never preached about the importance of holiness without which no man can see God (Hebrew12:10,14) . The scriptures says in Philipians 2:13 "For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. "God is doing a great work in you right now that would bring about a miracle beyond your expectations.

    It is His pleasure to work miracles, and it has nothing to do with how we feel or our judgments, Jonah never wanted to preach in Nineveh yet God used him to save the nation from doom. There is power in the spoken word of God, it is the same as the Holy Ghost and is always at work in the lives of those who have received the spoken word. 1Thes.2:13 "For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe." Paul was careful to acknowledged that despite his numerous achievements he was not behind it all but the Holy Ghost , he said in Colossians 1:29 "Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily." Our confidence should not be on anything but the mighty power of God at work in us  .

Prayer : Heavenly Father forgive me for my sins against you, I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation, I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and grace  for extraordinary breakthroughs in my finances, health,marriage, businesses, ministry in Jesus name.

 THE VICTORIOUS SURRENDERED LIFE

Gal 5:24 AMP “ And those who belong to Christ Jesus (the Messiah) have crucified the flesh (the godless human nature) with its passions and appetites and desires.”

   Rom 6:2 AMP  “ Certainly not! How can we who died to sin live in it any longer?

      To better understand  these scriptures : imagine the case of a man charged with murder  and while in prison ,he received news that he was a recipient of an amnesty program designed by the federal  government to mark the nation’s independence day celebration .  He was pardoned and released but refused to put off his prison uniform. He had gotten accustomed to the old way of living in bondage and this affected his reintegration in to the society and could not be employed .

 The life of the sinner  is similar to being in prison, there are many persons in the church bound by the old way of living and this is behind the rise in all manner of evil addictions that have torn families and wrecked communities. Bondage is a state of the mind, one can be living in a palace and yet be in bondage ,that was the case of Moses while in Pharaoh's palace. It took his unceremonious exit from the palace as a prince in Egypt for him to experience freedom. He enjoyed more peace with God while living in the desert than in the palace.

     Satan cannot afflict a person who refuses him access to his or her mind. He has his disciples operating through the world’s media with programs that look quite enticing but designed to capture the imagination of God’s people and bring them into slavery again. These persons are full of complaints and very weak in prayer and studying of the bible .

    The surrendered life starts with surrendering one’s mind to God’s word daily especially early in the morning. While reading ,we should picture ourselves  in the light of scriptures    Rom 6:11 AMP says   “ Even so consider yourselves also dead to sin and your relation to it broken, but alive to God [living in unbroken fellowship with Him] in Christ Jesus.”   We should not try to live the Christ-like life by our strength but by the Holy Spirit dwelling in us. It begins with the acknowledgment of our new status in Christ . In Him you have no power to sin. The appetite for sin is dead.

      God sees us as Holy as Christ and that is the image we should picture on a daily basis  : this is your real life Col 3:3 AMP  says“ For [as far as this world is concerned] you have died, and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God. “  Daily picture yourself as the water contained in a coconut  surrounded by the hard shell , no matter how strong  a tornado is,  it cannot crack a coconut with its covering ,you shall prosper  like the palm tree (Ps92:12)  , therefore , the issue of curses , marine spirits and other false doctrines through which God’s people are brought into bondage should not arise . You are surrounded by Jesus Christ twenty four hours of the day and the connection between your spirit and Jesus’ is unbreakable.

      We should consider our sinful nature  as dead with Christ on the cross. We were with Him on that old rugged cross and died and were raised with Him and alive through Him Rom 6:6 AMP says “ We know that our old (unrenewed) self was nailed to the cross with Him in order that [our] body [which is the instrument] of sin might be made ineffective and inactive for evil, that we might no longer be the slaves of sin. “  also Gal 2:20 AMP  “ I have been crucified with Christ [in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ (the Messiah) lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in (by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in) the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself up for me. “  You are not a sinner nor a failure but a new creature in Christ with a glorious future .

Prayer : Heavenly Father, forgive me of my sins against you , I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised for my salvation , I receive him as lord and savior and receive the Holy Spirit and grace to overcome evil addictions in Jesus name .
