THE RIGHTEOUS SHALL BE FILLED AND SATISFIED

"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be completely satisfied" (Matthew 5:6, AMP). True satisfaction does not stem from wealth, fame, or material possessions. The world often promises happiness through riches, achievements, and indulgence, but these pursuits leave the soul yearning for something deeper.

    In Ecclesiastes 2:1-11, Solomon, the wisest and wealthiest king, reflects on his quest for fulfillment through materialism and pleasure. He built houses, planted vineyards, amassed wealth, and sought every conceivable enjoyment. Yet, he declared it all "vanity and grasping for the wind" (Ecclesiastes 2:11, NKJV). Despite his abundance, his soul remained empty because worldly treasures cannot satisfy the eternal longing placed within us by God.

    This emptiness is a spiritual void only God's Spirit can fill. Psalm 16:11 reminds us, "In Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore." The pursuit of righteousness—seeking God's will, presence, and purpose—leads to true satisfaction. Those who prioritize God over worldly gain will experience peace and contentment the world cannot offer.

   Furthermore, Ecclesiastes 2:26 reveals a profound truth: the wealth of the sinner will eventually pass to the righteous. God rewards those who live in alignment with His purposes. While material riches are fleeting, eternal satisfaction belongs to those who hunger for righteousness. In the end, it is God’s Spirit that fills and satisfies the deepest longing of the human soul.

 In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and commitment to preach the message of righteousness every day.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to preach the gospel.
