Good -Life Devotional: LIGHT ARISES IN THE DARK FOR THE RIGHTEOUS

  Psalm 112:4 declares, "Light arises in the darkness for the upright; He is gracious and compassionate and righteous." (AMP). This verse reassures believers that even in the darkest times, God provides light, guidance, and hope for the righteous.

   Darkness in life represents trials, suffering, and uncertainty. Yet, for those who walk with God, His light always shines through. This is echoed in 2 Corinthians 4:16-18, which encourages believers not to lose heart because "though our outer self is [progressively] wasting away, yet our inner self is being [progressively] renewed day by day." The troubles of this world are temporary, but God’s light is eternal.

   Jesus Himself declared, "I am the Light of the world. He who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life." (John 8:12 AMP). When we trust in Christ, we walk in His light, even when surrounded by darkness.

    Furthermore, Isaiah 60:1 commands, "Arise [from spiritual depression to a new life], shine [be radiant with the glory and brilliance of the Lord]; for your light has come." The righteous are not just recipients of God’s light but also bearers of it, reflecting His goodness to others.

   No matter how deep the darkness, God’s promise stands: He will be our light (Micah 7:8). As we trust in Him, His light will arise, leading us through every trial into His glorious presence.

  In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and resilience to overcome trials .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation.
