THE INFLUENCE OF THE CHURCH OF SATAN IN MODERN CHURCH GROWTH

   The modern church growth movement has increasingly embraced a model that prioritizes numbers over biblical truth. This shift mirrors the warning given to the church in Revelation 2:2-9, where Jesus commends the Ephesians for testing false apostles but rebukes the compromising churches. The Church of Satan’s philosophy—self-indulgence, moral relativism, and rejection of biblical authority—has subtly infiltrated many modern churches, not in name but in practice.

    One of the most alarming trends is the reluctance to confront societal ills. Many pastors avoid controversial topics to keep their congregations comfortable, ensuring steady growth and financial stability. This is contrary to the apostolic model, where open correction was central. Paul instructed Titus to "rebuke them sharply" (Titus 1:13) and to "speak these things with all authority" (Titus 2:15). Similarly, 1 Timothy 5:20 commands public rebuke of sin, a principle that fueled the revivals of the 1970s and 1980s.

   However, as love—often misinterpreted as tolerance—became the central theme, correction faded. This aligns with 2 Corinthians 11:14, where Satan masquerades as an angel of light, deceiving many through preachers who dilute truth for mass appeal.

    True church growth must be rooted in repentance, holiness, and biblical correction. Revival comes when the church stands firm against sin, not when it conforms to worldly standards. Just as Jesus warned the compromising churches in Revelation, so must the modern church return to bold, Spirit-led preaching that exposes deception and upholds righteousness.

 In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and boldness to speak and fight against societal ills .
