Good -Life Devotional: BOLDNESS AND COURAGE: FIGHTING CORRUPTION WITH GOD’S BACKING

   Corruption is a pervasive evil that thrives on fear, compromise, and silence. To fight it, one must be bold and courageous, anchored in divine assurance. In Joshua 1:6 (AMP), God commands, "Be strong and courageous, for you will give this people as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them." Just as Joshua needed boldness to confront enemies and lead with integrity, modern-day anti-corruption crusaders require the same courage.

    Standing against corruption invites resistance, but God empowers the righteous with divine fearlessness. In Deuteronomy 2:25 (AMP), God declares, "This day I will begin to put the dread and fear of you upon the peoples everywhere... they will tremble and be in anguish because of you." When standing uncompromisingly for justice, God instills dread in the hearts of the corrupt, weakening their resolve.

   Moreover, divine reinforcement is always available. In 2 Kings 6:16-17, Elisha reassured his servant, “Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” God’s angelic warriors surround and protect those who fight for righteousness, ensuring victory against corruption’s forces.

    God also promises never to abandon the just. Psalm 37:32-33 affirms, "The wicked lie in wait for the righteous... But the Lord will not leave them in their power." This assurance empowers the righteous to act boldly, knowing God’s protection is unwavering.

    With courage from Joshua 1:6, divine fear from Deuteronomy 2:25, angelic armies from 2 Kings 6, and God’s faithfulness from Psalm 37, believers are equipped to stand boldly against corruption, transforming societies for God’s glory.

   In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and boldness to confront evil wherever it is found .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation.
