Good -Life Devotional: YOU WILL BE HATED FOR BEING ON THE SIDE OF TRUTH

    Standing for truth often comes at a cost, and sometimes that cost is rejection—even from those closest to you. Jesus Himself warned of this reality, saying, “You will be hated by everyone because of [your association with] My name, but the one who patiently perseveres [empowered by the Holy Spirit and endures] to the end will be saved” (Matthew 10:22, AMP). Speaking the truth and living by God’s Word challenges the world’s standards, leading to opposition and even hatred.

    This division can occur even within families. Jesus cautioned, “For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother... and a man’s enemies will be the members of his [own] household” (Matthew 10:35-36, AMP). Choosing to follow Christ and uphold biblical truth can create tension with loved ones who do not share the same faith or values.

    However, the discomfort and rejection faced for standing on God’s truth are not without reward. Jesus assures us, “Blessed [morally courageous and spiritually alive with life-joy in God’s goodness] are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil things against you because of [your association with] Me. Be glad and exceedingly joyful, for your reward in heaven is great” (Matthew 5:11-12, AMP).

    Enduring hatred and rejection for truth’s sake is difficult, but God sees and rewards faithfulness. Hold firm to His promises, knowing that the temporary pain of rejection will be exchanged for eternal glory.

  In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and perseverance and resilience in the midst of opposition.

PRAYER ; Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power for resilience.
