FOLLOW AFTER MEN WHO THROUGH PATIENCE HAVE OBTAINED THE PROMISE

What was meant for your demotion shall become a tool for your promotion because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good-Life Devotional: FOLLOW AFTER MEN WHO THROUGH PATIENCE HAVE OBTAINED THE PROMISE

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Hebrews 6:12 (AMP) admonishes believers to “not become sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” The Greek word translated “promises” is “epaggelia” (ἐπαγγελία), meaning a divine assurance of good or the pledge of something sacred from God. It is not plural in intent but singular in focus — pointing to the ultimate promise of eternal life and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit (Titus 1:2; Ephesians 1:13).

Hebrews 10:36 further teaches that “you have need of patience, that after you have done the will of God, you might receive the promise.” This shows patience is a condition for receiving what God has promised — not something material or fleeting, but spiritual and eternal. Colossians 3:2 warns believers to “set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.”

Abraham understood this truth deeply. His willingness to sacrifice Isaac demonstrated his focus on the eternal promise — “that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith” (Galatians 3:14).

False preachers have corrupted this teaching, saying, “Whom you follow determines what follows you,” as if godliness guarantees material wealth. Yet, despite multitudes following such men, many nations, especially in Africa, remain impoverished.

Believers must therefore seek “the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him” (Ephesians 1:17), walking in truth, patience, and faith — following those whose hope is fixed on eternity, not earthly gain (2 Corinthians 4:18; Romans 8:25).

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and spirit of discernment.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome stagnation and confusion.

HAVING A SUCCESSFUL CHRISTIAN MINISTRY WITH MIRACLES IS NO GUARANTEE FOR HEAVEN

You shall not fall victim of the deceiver because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

HAVING A SUCCESSFUL CHRISTIAN MINISTRY WITH MIRACLES IS NO GUARANTEE FOR HEAVEN

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Many mistake outward success in ministry for divine approval. Yet Jesus clearly warned in Matthew 7:21–22 (AMP), “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and do many miracles?’” Christ reveals that miracles, fame, or multitudes do not guarantee entry into heaven.

God is not impressed with quantity but quality—a narrow and righteous walk. In verses 13–14, Jesus said the way to life is narrow, and only a few find it. These so-called ministers are “ravenous wolves” (v.15), feeding on the flock rather than feeding the flock. They gather “thorns and thistles” (v.17), symbolizing unrepentant sinners kept close as long as money flows. Their doctrine measures grace by material wealth, in line with 1 Timothy 6:5, which speaks of men “corrupted in mind… imagining that godliness is a source of profit.”

Africa especially Nigeria is full many of such preachers that is why there is institutionalised corruption aided by these preachers . Jesus condemned such workers of iniquity—the meaning of iniquity is  from the Greek word 'anomia,' meaning illegality or lawlessness—and dismissed them: “I never knew you; depart from Me” (Matthew 7:23). They are the spiritual parents of corruption that fuels the murder of Christians in northern Nigeria, they are greedy, and deceptive . True ministry bears fruit of righteousness (Galatians 5:22–23), holiness, and humility before God. “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity” (2 Timothy 2:19).

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and ask God to expose and deliver our nation from corrupt preachers .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to preach righteousness.

BORN AGAIN CHRISTIANS ARE EXEMPTED FROM HELLFIRE

You shall succeed where others have failed because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

BORN AGAIN CHRISTIANS ARE EXEMPTED FROM HELLFIRE

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Qur’an Surah 19:71–72 (Maryam), says:

“And there is none of you but will pass over it (Hell); this is with your Lord a decree which must be accomplished. Then We will save those who feared Allah and leave the wrongdoers within it, on their knees.” — Qur’an 19:71–72

The Qur'an says all Muslims must taste hell fire and the faithful shall be rescued from it . Jews believe that they will enter heaven by observing the laws of Moses .

Jesus Christ made it clear that anyone who is born again is completely delivered from condemnation and eternal destruction. In John 3:3 (AMP), He said, “Unless a person is born again [spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified], he cannot see the kingdom of God.” To be born again means receiving a new life through faith in Jesus Christ. This spiritual rebirth changes our eternal destination from hell to heaven.

In John 3:16-18, Jesus declared that whoever believes in Him “shall not perish but have everlasting life.” The believer is no longer under God’s wrath but under grace (Romans 8:1), for “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.”

Hellfire is prepared for the devil and his followers (Matthew 25:41), not for those who belong to Christ. When a person is saved, he is transferred from darkness into the kingdom of light (Colossians 1:13). Jesus said in John 5:24, “He who hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has everlasting life and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.”

Every born-again Christian has eternal security in Christ (1 John 5:11-13). Salvation is not by works but by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9). The blood of Jesus has paid the full price, making us forever free from the fear of hell.

Therefore, rejoice and live holy — for you have been redeemed from eternal destruction and sealed for eternal glory (Ephesians 1:13-14).

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to preach the gospel.

THE BIBLICAL DESCRIPTION OF HELL FIRE

The plans of the wicked against you shall fail because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good- Life Devotional: THE BIBLICAL DESCRIPTION OF HELL FIRE

(Citing Scriptures from the Amplified Bible)

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Hell fire is one of the most solemn and fearful realities revealed in the Word of God. Jesus Christ, more than any other person in Scripture, spoke about it to warn men and women of the eternal consequences of sin. In Matthew 5:22, He declared that those who persist in anger and hatred are “guilty enough to go into the hell fire,” showing that sin of the heart can lead to eternal loss.

In Matthew 13:41–42, Jesus described hell as “a furnace of fire” where there will be “weeping and grinding of teeth.” This is not symbolic but a vivid expression of conscious suffering and regret. Again, in Mark 9:43–48, the Lord warned that it is better to lose a hand or an eye than to be “cast into hell, into the unquenchable fire… where their worm does not die.” The word unquenchable reveals that the flames of hell never go out.

Matthew 25:41 shows that hell was originally “prepared for the devil and his angels,” but all who reject God’s mercy in Christ will share that fate. Revelation 20:14–15 further calls it “the lake of fire,” which is “the second death,” an irreversible separation from God’s presence.

2 Thessalonians 1:8–9 adds that the wicked will “endure the punishment of everlasting destruction, banished from the presence of the Lord,” while Revelation 21:8 lists the fearful, unbelieving, and liars as those destined for “the lake that blazes with fire and brimstone.”

The baby in the womb may not believe in the existence of the world outside the womb until delivered , so it is with Hell and heaven  until you die as an unbeliever .  Hell is real, but it was never God’s desire for man to perish. Through faith in Jesus Christ, anyone can escape the fire of eternal judgment and receive everlasting life. (John 3:16, Romans 6:23)

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and righteousness in our families.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to preach the gospel.

IT IS NOT GOD’S WILL FOR THE UNGODLY TO RULE THE RIGHTEOUS

The yoke of oppression is broken off your shoulders because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

IT IS NOT GOD’S WILL FOR THE UNGODLY TO RULE THE RIGHTEOUS

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Psalm 125:3 declares, “For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest on the land allotted to the righteous, lest the righteous reach out their hands to iniquity.” It is against the will of God for the ungodly to rule over the righteous because such governance leads to widespread corruption and moral decay. When the wicked are in authority, sin increases, and even believers are tempted to compromise due to hardship and poverty (Proverbs 29:2). The oppression of the righteous often causes many to question God’s presence and power in the church. As it was in ancient Israel, the heathen now mock, saying, “Where is their God?” (Joel 2:17).

Therefore, God calls His ministers and intercessors to cry out in fasting and prayer for deliverance from ungodly leadership. Joel 2:17 instructs, “Let the priests, the ministers of the Lord, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare Your people, O Lord, and give not Your heritage to reproach.”

Jesus warned in Matthew 7:21–22 that not everyone who says “Lord, Lord” will enter the Kingdom, but only those who do the will of God. The Greek word for iniquity in that passage means illegality — showing that those who support or profit from unjust governance are living in rebellion against God.

Christians must therefore uphold righteousness, pray for godly rulers (1 Timothy 2:1–2), and refuse to partake in systems of corruption (Ephesians 5:11), for righteousness exalts a nation (Proverbs 14:34).

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and righteous governance.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome corruption.

ALL POWER IN HEAVEN AND ON EARTH BELONGS TO THE BORN-AGAIN CHRISTIAN

The yoke of the fear of failure is broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.
Good -Life Devotional: ALL POWER IN HEAVEN AND ON EARTH BELONGS TO THE BORN-AGAIN CHRISTIAN
By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi
Jesus Christ declared in Matthew 28:18 (AMP), “All authority (all power of absolute rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.” The word all means nothing was left out — the very power by which Moses parted the Red Sea, Elijah called down fire, and Elisha raised the dead was summed up and given to Christ. He is the fullness of divine power and authority.
Through His resurrection, this power was not kept in heaven but shared with every born-again believer. In Luke 10:19, Jesus said, “Behold, I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy.” The believer now operates with heaven’s full backing. This authority is not partial or limited, for Christ Himself dwells within us. Romans 8:11 affirms, “If the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ will also give life to your mortal bodies.”
False preachers claim that God’s power comes in measures, but John 3:34 refutes this, saying, “For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure.” The Holy Spirit is a person — not a portion. 2 Corinthians 3:17 says, “Now the Lord is the Spirit,” meaning the fullness of Christ lives in every true believer.
What we lack is not power, but revelation. Paul prayed in Ephesians 1:18–23 that our eyes may be enlightened to know the immeasurable greatness of His power toward us who believe. We are seated with Christ far above all principalities and powers (Ephesians 2:6). Let us walk boldly in this reality — for greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4).
PRAYER : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to work miracles.

FOLLOWING CORRUPT POLITICIANS AND PREACHERS FOR LOVE OF MONEY EXPOSES FAMILIES TO DEMONIC MANIPULATIONS

The evil verdict against you shall be overturned because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: FOLLOWING CORRUPT POLITICIANS AND PREACHERS FOR LOVE OF MONEY EXPOSES FAMILIES TO DEMONIC MANIPULATIONS

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

The Scripture warns that “God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the men of Shechem” (Judges 9:23 AMP) because of their ungodly alliance rooted in ambition and greed. Likewise, many Christians and families today open demonic doors through partnerships with corrupt politicians or preachers driven by the love of money. Such alliances attract the same evil spirits that once plagued Abimelech’s generation, producing strife, confusion, and moral decay.

When believers compromise for material gain, they expose their souls to satanic manipulations. The spirit of deception that influenced Ahab and his prophets in 1 Kings 22:20–22 still operates where truth is traded for personal advantage. Many of the struggles Christians face—sexual perversion, addiction, lying, infidelity, addiction to pornography and drugs and tormenting dreams—stem from spiritual contamination caused by these ungodly associations.

Paul warned that “those who crave to be rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction” (1 Timothy 6:9 AMP). Such greed leads to spiritual bondage, even to the point of selling one’s soul to Satan. The Word commands, “Withdraw yourself from every brother who is sexually immoral or greedy” (1 Corinthians 5:11) and “Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers” (2 Corinthians 6:14).

The Holy Spirit must guide your political and spiritual affiliations, for eternal consequences await the fearful, the unbelieving, and the corrupt (Revelation 21:8). Let integrity and righteousness—not greed—govern your choices, for “what shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul?” (Mark 8:36).

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and godliness and contentment.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome corruption.

DO NOT SAY IT IS WELL WHILE UNDER ATTACK RESIST THE DEVIL AND HE WILL FLEE

You are beyond the reach of witchcraft manipulations because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good+Life Devotional:

DO NOT SAY IT IS WELL WHILE UNDER ATTACK RESIST THE DEVIL AND HE WILL FLEE

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

As a believer in Jesus Christ, we are commanded to “submit to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7 AMP). Many Christians often say, “It is well,” while enduring satanic attacks, forgetting that passivity is not a weapon of warfare. That's Nigerian Christians are being  slain en mass and impoverished as a result of wicked people in power and it's getting worse due to their passivity  in fighting corruption and bad governance.Saying it is well makes things worse . Jesus never did neither did his disciples .(see Acts 5, 2cornthians 10:6)

The devil thrives on fear, ignorance, and inaction. To resist him effectively, we must first submit completely to God’s authority and align our hearts with His Word.

The enemy often attacks through thoughts, imaginations, and suggestions that contradict Scripture. The Apostle Paul teaches that we must “cast down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God” (2 Corinthians 10:5–6). Every negative or fearful thought must be confronted with the truth of God’s Word. When Satan tempted Jesus in the wilderness, Jesus resisted by declaring, “It is written.” This is our model for victory.

Resisting the devil means standing firm in faith, prayer, and confession. It means refusing to yield to temptation, depression, fear, or anger. When you speak the Word of God boldly, you remind the enemy that you know your authority in Christ. Luke 10:19 declares that believers have power over all the power of the enemy.

Do not tolerate demonic oppression or accept defeat as normal. Submit to God, stay filled with His Spirit, and resist the devil steadfastly. When you stand firm on the Word, the devil will flee in terror, for he cannot withstand a believer who knows and exercises divine authority in Christ Jesus.

PRAYER Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome poverty.

MODEL PRAYER TO CAST OUT THE EVIL GENERATIONAL SPIRIT OF STRIFE

The anointing of God's favour upon you is breaking the barriers hindering your progress now.
Good -Life Devotional:
MODEL PRAYER TO CAST OUT THE EVIL GENERATIONAL SPIRIT OF STRIFE

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi
Heavenly Father, I come before You today in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. I acknowledge that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Saviour. I bring myself and my entire family under the covering of the precious blood of Jesus. By the authority given to believers in Matthew 18:18, I bind and disallow every operation of demonic spirits in my family. I command every evil generational spirit of strife, contention, and division to come out of my lineage right now, never to return again, in the name of Jesus Christ!
Lord Jesus, as You rebuked the unclean spirit in Mark 9:25, I take the same authority as Your follower and command every spirit causing anger, quarrel, misunderstanding, and hatred to depart from my family. For it is written that You have given us power over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:17–19), and nothing shall by any means hurt us.
At the mention of the name of Jesus, every knee must bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Philippians 2:10). Therefore, I decree that every demonic influence operating in my bloodline bows now to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
Father, I pray that You will send preachers, teachers, and witnesses of the gospel to my family. Open their eyes to understand the Scriptures and make their hearts receptive to Your Word. Let Your peace, love, and unity reign in our home, in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

CAST OUT THE EVIL GENERATIONAL SPIRIT OF STRIFE

Your family is under a covenant of divine preservation because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: CAST OUT THE EVIL GENERATIONAL SPIRIT OF STRIFE

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

The spirit of strife is one of the most destructive demonic influences in families and relationships. In 1 Samuel 18:10–11, Saul, under a tormenting spirit, was driven by jealousy and strife to attempt to kill David. This same demonic spirit operates in many Christian homes today, causing quarrels, separations, and failed marriages. James 3:16 (AMP) says, “For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing.” Strife is a gateway through which demons gain access to families.

God warns us in Proverbs 22:24–25 not to make friends with hot-tempered people, lest we learn their ways and ensnare our souls. In today’s digital age, joining social media groups filled with angry, immoral, or contentious persons exposes one to demonic influence. Infidelity, gossip, and bitterness thrive in such spaces, contrary to God’s Word which commands separation from evil associations (2 Corinthians 6:14–17).

Generational quarrels and family disputes are often perpetuated by these spirits. But Jesus Christ has given us authority over all demonic powers. Mark 16:17 declares that believers shall cast out demons in His name, and Luke 10:19 assures us of power over all the enemy’s works. Therefore, daily bind the activities of the spirit of strife in your home and cast them into the abyss in the name of Jesus (Matthew 18:18). Engage faithful family intercessors to cover your household in prayer (Ephesians 6:12–18). Walk in love, peace, and unity—where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (2 Corinthians 3:17).

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and boldness to resist the devil .

PRAYER : Heaven Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to resist the devil .

THE IMPORTANCE OF FAMILY PRAYER INTERCESSORS

You shall not be overwhelmed by your problems because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

THE IMPORTANCE OF FAMILY PRAYER INTERCESSORS

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Psalms 72:15

And he shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: prayer also shall be made for him continually; and daily shall he be praised."

King Solomon's success was partly due to him being prayed for on a daily basis. Prayer creates room for the manifestation of the miraculous power of God. We need miracles on a daily basis in our families.

Family prayer intercessors play a vital role in ensuring that every member of the household stands “perfect and fully assured in all the will of God” (Colossians 4:12 AMP). Just as Epaphras labored fervently in prayer for the believers at Colossae, every family needs someone—or everyone—committed to interceding for God’s purpose to be fulfilled in their lives. Intercession shields the family from unseen attacks, strengthens faith, and keeps their hearts aligned with divine purpose.

Apostle Paul frequently requested prayers from the saints, acknowledging the power of collective intercession. He wrote, “You also joining and helping us through your prayers” (2 Corinthians 1:11 AMP), showing that even great spiritual leaders depend on prayer support for fruitfulness and preservation. Through intercession, God opens doors of opportunity—Paul said, “Pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word” (Colossians 4:3 ESV). A praying family experiences divine access, breakthrough, and deliverance.

Furthermore, “pray that the word of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored... and that we may be delivered from wicked and evil people” (2 Thessalonians 3:1–2 NIV). This reminds us that intercession not only protects but also advances God’s kingdom agenda in our families.

In addition, 1 Timothy 2:1–2 encourages “supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings... for all men.” When a family stands united in prayer, they build a hedge of divine protection (Ezekiel 22:30) and release God’s favor upon generations. A praying family truly becomes a victorious family, walking in the fullness of God’s will and power.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and intercessors praying for us.

PRAYER; Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to pray .

TEN BLESSINGS ON THE FAMILY THAT FEARS GOD

Your family shall not lack provisions because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.
Good -Life Devotional: TEN BLESSINGS ON THE FAMILY THAT FEARS GOD

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi
The family that fears the Lord enjoys divine favor, prosperity, and enduring legacy. Psalm 112 beautifully outlines ten blessings reserved for such a household. Deuteronomy 14:23 teaches that “the purpose of the tithe is to learn to fear the Lord your God always.” The fear of God is not terror, but deep reverence, obedience, and devotion.
Before Moses made it a law ,  Abraham demonstrated this fear when he gave tithes to Melchizedek, the priest of the Most High God (Genesis 14:18–20). His grandson Jacob made the same vow in Genesis 28:22, saying, “Of all that You give me, I will surely give a tenth to You.” This principle was not born from the Law of Moses but from the fear and honor of God. Isaiah 51:1–2 reminds believers, “Look to Abraham your father… for I called him alone, blessed him, and increased him.” Those who pursue righteousness are called to model his faith, obedience, and giving spirit.
According to Psalm 112, the family that fears God enjoys these ten blessings:
1) BLESSEDNESS AND JOY – “Blessed is the man who fears the Lord” (v.1).
2) MIGHTY OFFSPRING – “His seed shall be mighty upon earth” (v.2).
3) GENERATIONAL UPRIGHTNESS – “The generation of the upright shall be blessed” (v.2).
4) WEALTH AND RICHES – “Wealth and riches shall be in his house” (v.3).
5) ENDURING RIGHTEOUSNESS – “His righteousness endures forever” (v.3).
6) LIGHT IN DARKNESS – “Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness” (v.4).
7) DIVINE FAVOR AND MERCY – “He is gracious, and full of compassion” (v.4).
8)STABILITY AND SECURITY – “Surely he shall not be moved forever” (v.6).
9)VICTORY OVER FEAR AND ENEMIES – “His heart is established; he shall not be afraid” (v.8).
10) EVERLASTING REMEMBRANCE – “The righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance” (v.6).
In the New Testament, the principle of giving continues as an expression of reverence and partnership in God’s work. Galatians 6:6 (AMP) commands, “The one who is taught the word of God is to share all good things with his teacher [contributing to his spiritual and material support].” Likewise, 1 Corinthians 16:1–2 instructs believers to “set aside a sum of money on the first day of every week, in keeping with their income, to support the work of the ministry.”
Thus, giving remains a sacred act of worship that demonstrates our fear of the Lord, our gratitude, and our faith in His provision. As Proverbs 14:26 declares, “In the fear of the Lord is strong confidence, and His children shall have a place of refuge.”
The family that fears God and honors Him with their substance will never lack — their generation will shine as a light in the world.
In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and the grace for giving to God's work.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power get wealth.

THE FAMILY THAT FEARS GOD

The generarional cycle of poverty is broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

THE FAMILY THAT FEARS GOD

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

A family that fears God is one that walks in total obedience, reverence, and trust in Him. Abraham stands as a timeless example of such devotion. Out of reverence and holy fear, he left his homeland to follow God’s call (Genesis 12:1-4), trusted Him for a son in old age, and was even willing to sacrifice Isaac, his only son of promise (Genesis 22:12). Abraham also demonstrated the fear of God through his giving—he instituted the tithe long before the Law, offering a tenth of all to Melchizedek as a mark of worship and gratitude (Genesis 14:20). His grandson Jacob continued in this covenant, vowing to give a tenth to God (Genesis 28:22).

Deuteronomy 14:23 teaches that the purpose of tithing is to “learn always to fear the Lord your God.” In the New Testament, this principle of generous giving continues. Believers are commanded to support the work of the Gospel—“each one should set aside a sum in keeping with his income” (1 Corinthians 16:1-2), and “let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches” (Galatians 6:6).

Couples must therefore prayerfully seek God for faith and grace to remain consistent in giving. Psalm 112 declares that those who fear the Lord shall have “wealth and riches in their house” and “will not fear bad news.” The fear of God not only brings prosperity but also secures marriages from infidelity, strife, and destruction (Proverbs 19:23; Ecclesiastes 12:13).

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and grace give towards God's work .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome poverty.

THE IMPORTANCE OF MENTORING IN MARRIAGE

You shall not fall into the enemy's temptation because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good-Life Devotional:

THE IMPORTANCE OF MENTORING IN MARRIAGE

By Rev  Michael Benson Ajayi

Mentoring in marriage is a vital tool for building strong, godly relationships that reflect Christ’s love and wisdom. In Titus 2:3–5 (AMP), older women are instructed to “teach what is right and good, so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be self-controlled, chaste, homemakers, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be dishonored.” This divine instruction emphasizes that mentorship in marriage preserves godly order and prevents the name of the Lord from being blasphemed through broken homes and poor conduct.

The relationship between Ruth and Naomi is a powerful example of mentoring. Naomi guided Ruth not only in matters of faith but also in relationships and godly conduct. Ruth’s obedience and humility eventually led her into a blessed marriage with Boaz (Ruth 3:1–11). Through Naomi’s mentorship, Ruth learned how to walk wisely and with dignity—qualities that prepared her for divine favor.

Mentorship in marriage helps couples handle challenges with grace and biblical understanding. Proverbs 11:14 says, “Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety.” Having a mature, Spirit-filled couple or individual to offer guidance can prevent many avoidable mistakes.

When couples learn from godly mentors and live according to Ephesians 5:21–33, they become living testimonies of Christ’s love for the Church. Mentoring nurtures stability, faith, and purpose—strengthening marriages and bringing glory, not reproach, to the name of the Lord.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and humility to learn .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to work in divine wisdom.

LIVING WITH A CONTENTIOUS SPOUSE (Part 2)

The anointing of God's favour is mending your broken heart and turning disappointments into joyful breakthroughs.

Good -Life Devotional: LIVING WITH A CONTENTIOUS SPOUSE  (Part 2)

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

1 Corinthians 3:3 " For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

A carnal husband or wife is no different from a heathen and is characterised by contentiousness or strife .Such persons are tools in the hands of the enemy to destroy families .

The Bible teaches us how to overcome the contentious spirit . Here are more ways:

4. GUARD YOUR TONGUE

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” (Proverbs 18:21)

Refusing to speak hurtful words disarms contention. Think of the implications of your words before you speak

PRAYER: Father, set a guard over my lips, that I may speak life, not strife.

5. COMMIT TO FERVENT PRAYER LIKE HANNAH

: “Hannah was in great distress and prayed to the Lord and wept bitterly.” (1 Samuel 1:10)

Hannah turned provocation into prayer, not retaliation.

PRAYER: Lord, teach me to turn my tears and pain into prayers, as Hannah did.

6. PURSUE PEACE DELIBERATELY

“So then let us pursue with enthusiasm the things which make for peace and the building up of one another.” (Romans 14:19)

Peace does not come by chance but by pursuit.

PRAYER: Prince of Peace, guide me to sow peace in my home, even in the face of contention.

7. BE SLOW TO ANGER

“Be slow to anger, for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.” (James 1:19–20)

Contention thrives when anger is quick; patience breaks the cycle.

PRAYER: Lord, slow my anger and quicken my patience, so I may reflect Your righteousness.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and the courage to apologise whenever we are at fault.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome unforgiveness.

LIVING WITH A CONTENTIOUS SPOUSE

The love bond in your family shall continue to wax stronger because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

LIVING WITH A CONTENTIOUS SPOUSE

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

One of the effects of generational strife is a contentious spirit. In Jacob’s household, Rachel and Leah constantly competed for affection (Genesis 29–30), producing envy, rivalry, and tension. This strife sowed seeds of division in their family. In contrast, Hannah faced provocation from her rival Peninnah but overcame by seeking God in prayer, not through strife (1 Samuel 1:6–10).

Scripture warns us: “It is better to live in a desert land than with a contentious and vexing woman.” (Proverbs 21:19, AMP) also

“As charcoal to hot embers and wood to fire, so is a contentious man to kindle strife.” (Proverbs 26:21, AMP) it also says

“But for those who are selfishly ambitious and self-seeking and disobedient to the truth... [there will be] wrath and indignation.” (Romans 2:8, AMP)

Yet, God provides wisdom and grace to live peaceably and victoriously, even in a difficult marriage.

Here are some  Ways to Live with a Contentious Spouse

1. WALK IN THE SPIRIT, NOT IN THE FLESH

Scripture: “Walk habitually in the Spirit... then you will certainly not carry out the desire of the sinful nature.” (Galatians 5:16)

Strife feeds on fleshly reactions. Spirit-led living helps us respond with patience.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to walk in Your Spirit daily, not in the flesh, that I may overcome strife with peace. Memorise Galatians 5:22 and recite it everyday.

2.)  PRACTICE GENTLE ANSWERS

The Scripture:says  “A soft and gentle and thoughtful answer turns away wrath, but harsh and painful words stir up anger.” (Proverbs 15:1)

Gentleness defuses arguments before they escalate.

PRAYER: Father, put Your words in my mouth, that I may answer gently and turn away wrath.

3. COVER IN LOVE

The Scripture says: “Above all, have fervent and unfailing love... because love covers a multitude of sins.” (1 Peter 4:8)

Love overlooks weaknesses instead of magnifying them.

PRAYER: Lord, fill me with love that covers offenses and heals wounds in my marriage.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and to be filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues for effective prayers .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to love the unlovable.

GUARD YOUR MARRIAGE AGAINST GENERATIONAL STRIFE ( part 3)

You shall not labour in vain , your interest shall be well secured because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: GUARD YOUR MARRIAGE AGAINST GENERATIONAL STRIFE  ( part 3)

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

 James 3:17-18

[17]But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

[18]And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.". The fruit of righteousness being the blessings of the lord upon a marriage can only be seen and enjoyed in a peaceful atmosphere. Living in peace is by choice and here are more principles on how to overcome the generarional cycle of strife in your family .

8) BREAK NEGATIVE FAMILY PATTERNS THROUGH CHRIST – 2 Corinthians 5:17

PRAYER: By the authority of Jesus Christ, I break every inherited pattern of rivalry, jealousy, and division in my family. We declare that we are new creations in Christ, in Jesus’ name.

Make moves to reconcile with your inherited enemies . We are called to the ministry of reconciliation.

9) GUARD YOUR HOME ATMOSPHERE WITH PEACE – Matthew 5:9

Prayer: Father, make our home a dwelling place of peace. Let Your Spirit rule our atmosphere so strife cannot enter, in Jesus’ name.

10 ) STAND FIRM IN GOD’S WORD AND RESIST THE ENEMY – James 4:7

Prayer: Lord, we submit our marriage to You. We resist the devil, and we declare that every plan of strife and division against us shall fail, in Jesus’ name.

Conclusion

Strife, if left unchecked, can travel through generations. But when a marriage is surrendered to Christ, fueled by the Holy Spirit, and guarded by prayer, the cycle of conflict is broken, and a new legacy of peace begins.

In our prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and boldness to take steps or reconciliation.

PRAYER; Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him and receive the Holy Spirit and power for reconciliation.
