WHY CHRISTIANS SHOULD SECURE THEIR VOTES THROUGH THE MOST RELIABLE MEAN

You shall not fall into the enemy's trap because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.
Good -Life Devotional:
WHY CHRISTIANS SHOULD SECURE THEIR VOTES THROUGH THE MOST RELIABLE MEAN

S
By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi
The integrity of leadership selection is a biblical principle. In Acts 6:1–7, when a dispute arose in the early church, the apostles instructed the believers to select “seven men of good reputation, full of the Spirit and of wisdom” (v.3). This transparent and criteria-based process ensured fairness, preserved unity, and allowed the apostles to focus on prayer and the ministry of the Word. The result was powerful: “the word of God kept on spreading” (v.7 AMP). Good systems produced good outcomes for the gospel.
Leadership selection has spiritual consequences. Proverbs 29:2 declares, “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when the wicked man rules, the people groan.” A flawed electoral system that enables dishonesty creates room for corruption and injustice. In parts of Africa, especially Nigeria, weak and ambiguous electoral processes have often resulted in leaders whose policies deepen poverty and insecurity. When corrupt politicians manipulate manual documentation and alter figures, the people suffer. Scripture warns that “the thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy” (John 10:10 AMP). Systems that enable theft of mandates indirectly empower destructive agendas.
Christians, therefore, should advocate for secure, transparent, and unambiguous voting systems. The Bible commands, “Provide things honest in the sight of all men” (Romans 12:17 KJV) and “Let all things be done properly and in an orderly manner” (1 Corinthians 14:40 AMP). Real-time electronic transmission of votes, when properly implemented, reduces manipulation and confusion. Manual processes that are easily altered should be reformed or rejected where they consistently enable fraud.
Believers are called to be “the salt of the earth” and “the light of the world” (Matthew 5:13–16). Resisting attempts to compromise electoral integrity is part of seeking justice (Isaiah 1:17). When righteous systems are upheld, stability increases, poverty is reduced, and the gospel advances without hindrance.    Christians must prayerfully, peacefully, and lawfully support processes that protect truth and promote godly leadership.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome bad governance.

WATCHFULNESS AND SPIRITUAL WARFARE

Receive grace to overcome ungodly addictions now because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: WATCHFULNESS AND SPIRITUAL WARFARE

 By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

“Keep actively watching and praying so that you may not come into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the body is weak.” — Mark 14:38 (AMP)

Jesus spoke these words in Gethsemane at the height of intense spiritual conflict. While the disciples slept, Christ prayed. This contrast reveals that the struggle was deeper than physical exhaustion—it was a spiritual battle. Jesus exposed a vital truth: human beings may have sincere spiritual desire, but without divine help, the flesh is too weak to overcome temptation. Watchfulness and prayer are not optional disciplines; they are weapons in spiritual warfare.

Christianity Recognizes Spiritual Reality  Unlike atheistic or materialistic worldviews that reduce humans to biology and brain activity,    Jesus clearly distinguishes between spirit and flesh. Mark 14:38 affirms that believers live in a spiritual realm where unseen forces are at work. Scripture confirms this reality: “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood…” (Ephesians 6:12). Spiritual warfare demands spiritual responses, and prayer is central.

Human Willpower Is Not Enough

Self-help philosophies promote discipline and determination as the solution to moral failure. Jesus teaches otherwise. A willing spirit without prayer still collapses under pressure. Victory over sin flows from God’s grace, not human strength. “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,” says the Lord (Zechariah 4:6).

Prayer Is Defensive and Preventive

Jesus did not instruct His disciples to pray after falling into temptation, but before entering it (Matthew 26:41). Prayer sharpens spiritual alertness, strengthens discernment, and fortifies the believer ahead of attack.

Jesus’ Humanity Is Affirmed

Christ’s anguish in Gethsemane demonstrates His full humanity. He was tested, yet without sin, fulfilling Hebrews 4:15 and affirming the orthodox doctrine of His dual nature.

APPLICATION

Develop daily prayer habits. Avoid spiritual laziness. Recognize temptation early. Depend on the Holy Spirit. Stay alert in doctrine and lifestyle.

Spiritual victory is not automatic. Watchfulness, prayer, and dependence on God empower the willing spirit to overcome the weakness of the flesh.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power over evil addictions .

MAINTAINING SPIRITUAL AWARENESS THROUGH READINESS AND WATCHFULNESS

The anointing of God's favour is giving you wisdom to solve very difficult problems that will put you above the competition.

Good -Life Devotional: MAINTAINING SPIRITUAL AWARENESS THROUGH READINESS AND WATCHFULNESS

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Matthew 25:1–13

“Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.” — Matthew 25:13

Spiritual awareness must not only be developed; it must be sustained. Jesus emphasized this truth in the Parable of the Wise Virgins, revealing that waiting without preparedness leads to tragic loss. All ten virgins were invited, all carried lamps, and all expected the bridegroom. Yet only five were ready when the moment arrived.

The lamps symbolize outward religion—profession of faith, church activity, and spiritual appearance. However, the distinguishing factor was oil. The wise virgins carried extra oil, representing spiritual preparedness, intimacy with God, and the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit. Awareness that is not maintained will eventually fade, especially in seasons of delay.

Spiritual awareness requires preparation. The wise virgins anticipated delay and planned ahead (Matthew 25:4). They understood that spiritual life cannot survive on yesterday’s encounters.    Consistent prayer, meditation on the Word, and obedience keep the lamp burning (Psalm 119:105).

Spiritual awareness cannot be borrowed. When the bridegroom came, the foolish virgins sought oil from others but were denied (Matthew 25:8–9). No one can lend you intimacy with God. Personal devotion cannot be outsourced.

Lack of awareness leads to exclusion. The door was shut on the unprepared (Matthew 25:10–12). Opportunity does not wait forever. Last-minute spirituality is dangerous and unreliable.

Jesus repeatedly calls believers to watchfulness and readiness (Matthew 24:42). From Noah, who prepared before the flood, to the wise virgins who stayed ready for the bridegroom, Scripture teaches that spiritual awareness separates those who escape judgment from those who suffer loss.

In these critical times, maintaining spiritual awareness through readiness and watchfulness is not optional—it is essential. May our lamps never go out, and may we be found ready when He comes.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power for discernment.

SPIRITUAL AWARENESS AS SENSITIVITY TO GOD’S WARNING AND INSTRUCTION

Your tears of sorrow shall be turned into tears of joy because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life  Devotional:

SPIRITUAL AWARENESS AS SENSITIVITY TO GOD’S WARNING AND INSTRUCTION

Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Spiritual awareness is the capacity to stay spiritually alert—to perceive God’s voice, warnings, and instructions even when others are spiritually blind. Jesus emphasized this necessity in Matthew 24:42: “Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.” To “watch” is not merely to observe events, but to live with discernment, sensitivity, and readiness before God.

In every generation, God speaks. Yet only the spiritually aware respond correctly. Many live on low spiritual ground, distracted by sin, pleasure, and self-interest, while a few rise to spiritual high ground—where divine signals are clearly perceived. Noah stands as a powerful example of such awareness. Genesis 6:5–9 describes a world overwhelmed by corruption and moral decay, a generation that had lost all sensitivity to God. In contrast, “Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.”

Noah discerned the times spiritually. Hebrews 11:7 declares that he was warned by God about things not yet seen and moved with godly fear. Spiritual awareness begins with hearing God. Noah heard God’s warning about impending judgment while others were absorbed in wickedness and pleasure (Genesis 6:13).

Awareness always produces obedience. Noah built the ark exactly as God commanded, without alteration or delay, despite ridicule and opposition (Genesis 6:22). True spiritual sensitivity is proven not by revelation alone, but by obedient action.

Awareness ultimately brings deliverance. While the flood destroyed the spiritually unaware, Noah’s obedience preserved him and his household (Genesis 7:1). Today, God still warns His people through His Word and the Holy Spirit. Scripture exhorts us, “Do not harden your hearts” (Hebrews 3:8, 13).

Spiritual awareness requires righteousness, faith, and obedience. Ignoring divine warnings leads inevitably to spiritual loss, but sensitivity to God secures life, direction, and divine preservation.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome evil .

FAITHFUL IN THE LITTLE

The yoke of poverty is broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

FAITHFUL IN THE LITTLE

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Faithfulness in small matters is a defining principle in God’s Kingdom.    Scripture consistently reveals that God entrusts greater responsibilities only to those who have proven faithful with what they already possess. Jesus stated plainly in Luke 16:10–12, “He who is faithful in a very little thing is faithful also in much… If you have not been faithful in the use of worldly wealth, who will entrust the true riches to you?” This establishes a spiritual law: increase follows integrity.

The Macedonian church stands as a powerful biblical example of being faithful in the little. In 2 Corinthians 8:1–5, Paul testifies that despite their “deep poverty,” they overflowed in generosity. Their giving was not driven by abundance but by unwavering faith in God and deep commitment to the servants of God for the advancement of the gospel. They first gave themselves to the Lord, and then to His work. Their material lack did not diminish their spiritual devotion.

This teaches an important lesson: faithfulness is not measured by quantity but by obedience and sacrifice.    Those who seek increase without corresponding faithfulness risk corruption. Proverbs 20:21 warns, “An inheritance gained hastily in the beginning will not be blessed in the end.” Likewise, Matthew 25:21 affirms that those faithful over a few things are made rulers over many.

God watches how believers handle time, resources, assignments, and relationships. Colossians 3:23 exhorts Christians to work heartily as unto the Lord, not men. When believers honor God in the little, He entrusts them with much. Faithfulness today is preparation for tomorrow’s increase.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and faithfulness in that which is committed to us .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to be faithful.

PRACTICING A SPIRIT-LED LIFE DAILY

You shall not be stagnant and confused because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good-Life Devotional: PRACTICING A SPIRIT-LED LIFE DAILY

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Understanding the Holy Spirit is foundational, but practicing His leading is transformational. A Spirit-led life is not occasional—it is continuous. Christianity was never designed to be lived by human strength or natural wisdom, but by daily dependence on the Spirit of God.

In Acts 13:2, while believers were “ministering to the Lord and fasting,” the Holy Spirit spoke clearly, saying, “Set apart for Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”   Direction came in an atmosphere of worship, prayer, and surrender. This teaches us that sensitivity to the Spirit is cultivated, not accidental. When the heart is quiet before God, His voice becomes clearer.

Paul reinforces this truth in Galatians 5:25: “If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.”

Living by the Spirit refers to our spiritual life in Christ; walking by the Spirit refers to our daily choices. Before the Spirit displays power, He produces fruit—love, joy, peace, patience, and self-control (Galatians 5:22–23). Character always precedes manifestation.

Trust is essential in Spirit-led living. Proverbs 3:5–6 (AMP) exhorts us: “Trust in and rely confidently on the LORD with all your heart and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.” The Spirit’s guidance may sometimes challenge human logic, but it never contradicts God’s Word. Delayed obedience dulls spiritual sensitivity, while prompt obedience sharpens discernment.Avoid going late to church meetings .

PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS:

Cultivate daily prayer and meditation in Scripture

Obey the Spirit’s promptings quickly

Avoid grieving the Spirit through persistent sin

Seek spiritual accountability and godly counsel

A Spirit-led believer walks in victory, fulfills divine purpose, and glorifies God. Being led by the Holy Spirit is not optional—it is the normal Christian life.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and wisdom for excellence.

THE IMPORTANCE OF VOWS IN SERVING GOD

The hindrance  to your financial increase is broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: THE IMPORTANCE OF VOWS IN SERVING GOD

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

A vow is a solemn, voluntary commitment made before God, expressing deep devotion and consecration. In Scripture, vows often marked turning points in a believer’s walk with God and became powerful instruments for service, obedience, and sacrifice. When rightly understood, vows help focus the heart, strengthen discipline, and deepen the fear of the Lord (Psalm 76:11).

In the Old Testament, many servants of God made vows that shaped their destinies.   Jacob vowed at Bethel that the Lord would be his God and promised faithfulness in response to God’s protection by giving the tenth part of his resources (Genesis 28:20–22). Hannah vowed to dedicate her long-awaited son to the Lord, and through that vow, Samuel became one of Israel’s greatest prophets (1 Samuel 1:11, 27–28). King David also fulfilled vows made in times of distress, offering sacrifices of thanksgiving to God (Psalm 66:13–14). These vows were not mere words; they became acts of worship that advanced God’s purposes.

In the New Testament, the principle of vows continues, though under grace and guided by wisdom.

The Apostle Paul took a vow in Acts 18:18, demonstrating deep personal consecration to God. His sense of divine obligation drove him relentlessly in ministry. Paul declared, “Necessity is laid upon me… woe is me if I do not preach the gospel” (1 Corinthians 9:16, AMP).    This inner constraint—rooted in commitment to God—distinguished Paul and propelled him to labor more abundantly than the other apostles (1 Corinthians 15:10).

However, Scripture also warns against rash and harsh vows. Jephthah’s impulsive vow led to tragic consequences (Judges 11:30–35). Ecclesiastes 5:4–6 cautions believers not to vow hastily or fail to fulfill what they promise. Jesus further emphasized integrity over impulsive oaths, teaching that our “yes” should be truthful and measured (Matthew 5:33–37).

In conclusion, vows made with understanding, humility, and faith can deepen service to God and release great spiritual fruit. Yet, they must be guided by wisdom, grace, and reverence for God, remembering that obedience and sincerity matter more than dramatic promises.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and zeal to serve in faith .

PRAYER; Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome poverty.

THE POWER OF A VOW BEFORE GOD

The yoke of repeated failure at the edge of breakthrough is broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: Good -Life Devotional: THE POWER OF A VOW BEFORE GOD

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

A vow before God is a sacred commitment that carries spiritual weight and eternal consequence. In Acts 18:18, Apostle Paul took a vow, demonstrating his deep consecration to God. This dedication became a driving force behind his ministry, as he declared, “Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel” (1 Corinthians 9:16, AMP). A godly vow aligns the heart with divine purpose and fuels obedience even in seasons of hardship.

Scripture shows that God cherishes those who honor their vows. Psalm 76:11 admonishes believers to make vows and fulfill them unto the Lord, revealing that vows cultivate the fear of God and reverence for His holiness. King David stood out among Israel’s leaders because of his devotion expressed through vows. He proclaimed, “I will come into Your house with burnt offerings; I will pay You my vows” (Psalm 66:13, AMP). Likewise, Psalm 50:14–15 teaches that fulfilling vows strengthens faith and invites divine intervention, opening the door for miraculous deliverance.

However, Scripture also warns against careless commitments. Ecclesiastes 5:4–5 instructs believers not to be rash with vows but to count the cost, for God delights in faithfulness rather than empty promises. Jesus echoed this principle by emphasizing integrity and sincerity of heart (Matthew 5:37).

Personal testimony further affirms this truth. I made a vow in 1991 to teach God’s Word daily, and this commitment has greatly strengthened and sustained my teaching ministry. When vows are made prayerfully and kept faithfully, they become powerful instruments through which God shapes character, advances His kingdom, and releases supernatural grace.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and faithfulness to our calling .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to preach the gospel.

CREATING TIME FOR GOD: THE PATHWAY TO SPIRITUAL POWER AND MATURITY

Extraordinary financial help shall locate you because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: CREATING TIME FOR GOD: THE PATHWAY TO SPIRITUAL POWER AND MATURITY

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

In a fast-paced world, creating intentional time for    God is no longer optional for the believer—it is essential. Scripture reveals that spiritual power and revelation flow from disciplined communion with God. In Acts 13:2, the early disciples ministered to the Lord with fasting and prayer, and it was in that atmosphere of devotion that the Holy Spirit spoke and commissioned Barnabas and Saul. Likewise, Moses spent forty days on Mount Sinai in God’s presence before receiving the tablets of the Law (Exodus 24:18). Divine encounters require separation, stillness, and reverence.

When believers set apart daily and weekly time for God, they receive revelation, strength, and direction. This is why Paul prayed for the Colossian church to be “filled with the knowledge of His will… strengthened with all power… for all patience and long-suffering with joy” (Colossians 1:9–12, AMP). Such spiritual endurance is cultivated through consistent fellowship with God. Church gatherings should reflect this hunger—approaching worship not as entertainment, but as sacred encounters.

Jesus Himself modeled this lifestyle. He often withdrew to pray (Luke 5:16) and spent extended periods teaching the crowds, during which “the power of the Lord was present to heal” (Luke 5:17). Before the birth of the Church, believers were commanded to wait in Jerusalem until they received the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:4–5), and through patient obedience they were filled on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2:1–4).

Sadly, many modern seeker-focused approaches emphasize congregation numbers over discipleship, reducing time spent in the Word and prayer. The result is spiritual weakness. True New Testament Christianity is rooted in fellowship with the Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 13:14). He reveals Christ, produces fruit, and empowers believers—but He requires time, patience, and devotion. When we create time for God, we grow into mature, Spirit-filled disciples who impact the world.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and long-suffering and patience to receive from him .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to work miracles .

DEVOTIONAL: TRUSTING THE POTTER’S HANDS

You shall continue to make great progress in the face of adversity because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: DEVOTIONAL: TRUSTING THE POTTER’S HANDS

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Romans 9:20–23 (AMP)

Life often presents moments that feel confusing, painful, and unfair. In such seasons, the human heart naturally asks, “Why, Lord?” Romans 9:20–23 redirects our focus from questioning God to trusting Him. Paul reminds us that God is the Potter and we are the clay. The clay does not determine the design; it yields to the hands that shape it. This truth calls believers to humility and surrender, especially when circumstances seem like mishaps.

Isaiah 45:6–7 reveals that God reigns over both light and darkness, peace and adversity. This does not make God the author of evil, but it affirms that nothing escapes His sovereign control. Even when we cannot trace His hand, we can trust His heart. Job understood this when he said, “The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord” (Job 1:21).

One of the most difficult biblical examples is found in Ezekiel 24:16–24. God allowed the death of Ezekiel’s wife as a prophetic sign to Israel. Though heartbreaking, this event carried a divine message that God’s judgment was near. It reminds us that sometimes personal pain becomes a platform for God’s greater purpose. While we may not understand the “why,” God always understands the “end.”

Romans 8:28 assures us that God works all things together for good for those who love Him. Even the cross, the darkest moment in human history, became the doorway to salvation (Acts 2:23). What appears as loss in our eyes may be preparation for glory in God’s plan.

Today, rest in the truth that you are not abandoned clay on a broken wheel. You are being shaped by a wise and loving Potter. Trust His hands. Submit to His process. Glory awaits the vessels of mercy He is forming.

PRAYER Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation.

Father, help me trust Your sovereignty even when life is painful. Shape my heart according to Your will. Give me grace to submit to Your purpose and to rest in Your wisdom. Amen.

CALLED ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE

Receive wisdom for the fulfilment of your divine purpose.
Good -Life Devotional:
CALLED ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE
Rev Michael Benson Ajayi
To be “called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28) means to live in alignment with God’s eternal plan, not merely personal ambition. Paul’s testimony in Acts 26:19 shows this clearly: after encountering Jesus Christ on the road to Damascus, he declared, “I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision.” That encounter revealed Paul’s true purpose. Before meeting Christ, he believed his mission was to persecute Christians, thinking he was serving God. This tragic misdirection mirrors how some today commit violence in the name of religion. Yet, when Christ intervenes, He transforms zeal without knowledge into holy purpose (Romans 10:2).
Scripture shows that purpose often precedes birth. John the Baptist was set apart in the womb to prepare the way of the Lord (Luke 1:15–17; Jeremiah 1:5). God’s calling is sovereign. Romans 9:11–13 teaches that Jacob was chosen over Esau not by human merit but by divine purpose, proving that salvation and calling are rooted in God’s grace, not human achievement. Likewise, 1 Corinthians 1:26–29 reveals that God often chooses the weak and lowly so that no one may boast before Him.
Although God has called all believers to be ministers of the gospel (2 Corinthians 5:18–20), only those who discover and submit to their calling walk fully in that purpose. When we seek first God’s kingdom (Matthew 6:33), align with His will (Ephesians 2:10), and yield to His Spirit, “all things work together for good” (Romans 8:28, AMP). Find His purpose, and your life will gain eternal direction and impact.
In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and his purpose for our lives .
PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and wisdom for excellence.

AN HOUSE NOT MADE WITH HANDS

What was meant to be a loss shall translate into a great harvest of souls and resources because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: AN HOUSE NOT MADE WITH HANDS

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

(2 Corinthians 5:1–4)

Paul declares, “For we know that if our earthly tent which is our house is torn down (dissolved), we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens” (2 Corinthians 5:1, AMP). The Greek word translated “dissolved” is katalýō (καταλύω), meaning to dismantle, destroy, or take down a temporary dwelling. This imagery emphasizes that the human body is a temporary tent, not our permanent home. Christianity, therefore, is not escapism from the physical world but hope anchored in divine transformation.

Jesus confirmed this promise when He said, “In My Father’s house are many dwelling places (mansions)… I go to prepare a place for you” (John 14:2–3, AMP). This “house” is not merely a location in heaven but includes the believer’s new immortal body—a glorified, eternal dwelling prepared by God. Paul adds that we “groan, longing to be clothed with our dwelling from heaven” (2 Corinthians 5:2), revealing a holy desire to exchange mortality for immortality ( no sickness or deformity, no death ,no weakness, no poverty)

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the apologetic foundation of this hope. Christ rose in a glorified body: He ate with His disciples (Luke 24:42–43), passed through closed doors (John 20:19), yet could be physically touched (John 20:27). This proves continuity and transformation—same identity, glorified substance.    Scripture assures believers will share this reality: “He will transform our lowly body to be like His glorious body” (Philippians 3:21), and “this mortal must put on immortality” (1 Corinthians 15:53).

Because our true house is eternal, we are called to live lightly on earthly attachments and heavily invested in eternal values.Do not be over attached to anything on earth.    Suffering, aging, and loss are not the end; they are signals pointing us home. Today, let your hope be anchored in God’s promise: what is dissolved will be replaced with what is divine. Walk in holiness, serve faithfully, and rejoice—your eternal house is already prepared.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and focus on that which is heavenly.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me for my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome painful losses.

CRUSHED AND OVERWHELMED BEYOND HUMAN ENDURANCE

You shall find light in the darkness and strength in despair because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good-Life Devotional:  CRUSHED AND OVERWHELMED BEYOND HUMAN ENDURANCE

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Paul wrote, “We were crushed and overwhelmed beyond our ability to endure, and we thought we would never live through it” (2 Corinthians 1:8, NLT). This confession came from an anointed apostle, proving that strong faith does not exempt believers from deep trials.

The Christian journey includes inevitabilities—seasons of pressure, very painful losses, and sorrow. Jesus Himself told Paul from the beginning that his calling would be marked by many afflictions (Acts 9:16). Suffering is not always a sign of failure; often it is the pathway to deeper dependence on God.

Rachel’s cry in Jeremiah 31:15 reflects this human pain—“Rachel weeping for her children.” Even God’s people experience moments when grief feels unbearable. Yet Scripture shows that God does not abandon His own in such valleys. Paul explains that his suffering taught him to rely not on himself but on God who raises the dead (2 Corinthians 1:9).

In these crushing seasons, we need the prayers of others. Paul openly asked the church to intercede for him (2 Corinthians 1:11). God often sends strength through the hands and voices of fellow believers.  Do not isolate yourself in pain; allow the body of Christ to carry you in prayer.

Though troubled on every side, we are not destroyed. “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair” (2 Corinthians 4:8, AMP). What feels unbearable today is producing eternal weight of glory tomorrow. Paul reminds us that our light affliction, though painful now, is working for us a far greater and lasting glory (2 Corinthians 4:17–18).

When overwhelmed, lift your eyes beyond the moment. Trust God’s purpose, lean on prayer especially in tongues  while speaking scriptures  such as ( psalm 34, 2 Corinthians 4 :16-18 ) and hold fast to hope. Your crushing season is not the end—it is preparation for glory.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and the fruit of long-suffering in the Holy Spirit.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome emotional depression.

SORROWING AFTER A GODLY KIND. YOUR SORROW SHALL BE TURNED INTO JOY .

What was meant for your downfall  shall bring about your promotiom because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good-Life Devotional:

SORROWING AFTER A GODLY KIND. YOUR SORROW SHALL BE TURNED INTO JOY .

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Jesus told His disciples, “You will grieve and lament, but the world will rejoice… your sorrow will be turned into joy” (John 16:20, 22).    The Greek word used for sorrow here is lypē (λύπη), meaning deep emotional pain, heaviness of heart, or distress. When Jesus spoke of His coming death, the disciples were overwhelmed with lypē. Yet Christ assured them that this sorrow would not be permanent—it would give birth to joy through His resurrection.

The apostle Paul later explained this spiritual principle: “Godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation… but the sorrow of the world produces death” (2 Corinthians 7:10). Godly sorrow is not despair; it is a heart response that turns us back to God. It leads to repentance, transformation, and eventual rejoicing. Paul described believers as “sorrowful, yet always rejoicing” (2 Corinthians 6:10). What Satan intends for evil, God converts into a testimony of grace and thanksgiving.

Ungodly sorrow, however, comes from viewing circumstances without spiritual understanding. It focuses only on loss, pain, and disappointment, and often leads to hopelessness. Job’s wife, overwhelmed by suffering, urged him to abandon faith (Job 2:9). Her response reflected natural despair rather than trust in God’s eternal purpose.

Jesus demonstrated godly sorrow in Matthew 14. After hearing about the murder of John the Baptist, His cousin, He felt the weight of grief. Yet instead of withdrawing into despair, He continued in compassion—healing the sick and feeding the hungry. This teaches us that the call of God and the needs of others are greater than personal pain.

Spiritually, believers never truly lose. “Our light affliction… is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory” (2 Corinthians 4:16–18). Godly sorrow lifts our eyes from the temporary to the eternal, transforming grief into growth and tears into triumph. When sorrow is surrendered to God, it becomes a pathway to deeper joy and stronger faith.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome grief .

WHY DOES GOD ALLOW BAD THINGS TO HAPPEN TO GOOD PEOPLE?

The enemy's strategies against your family shall fail because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

WHY DOES GOD ALLOW BAD THINGS TO HAPPEN TO GOOD PEOPLE?

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

One of the hardest questions in Christian theology is why a good and loving God allows suffering—especially when innocent children face terminal diseases and believers are persecuted by terrorists. Scripture does not deny suffering; rather, it explains its purpose within a fallen world.

The Bible teaches that evil entered creation through human rebellion (Genesis 3:16–19). Since then, disease, death, and violence have existed—not because God delights in pain, but because the world operates under the consequences of sin (Romans 8:20–22). Yet God remains sovereign and purposeful even in suffering.

Judges 14:4 reveals that Samson’s situation was not random: “His father and mother did not know that it was from the LORD, for He was seeking an occasion against the Philistines” (AMP). Though Samson was eventually captured and died in enemy territory (Judges 16:21–30), God used his suffering to bring judgment and deliverance. This shows that God can turn human tragedy into divine victory.

Similarly, Job was described as blameless, yet he suffered intensely (Job 1:1). God later restored him, demonstrating that suffering is not always punishment, but sometimes a test of faith and a platform for God’s glory (Job 42:10).

Jesus Himself, the most righteous person to ever live, suffered unjustly and died on the cross (Isaiah 53:3–5). His suffering brought salvation to the world. This proves that God can bring eternal good out of temporary pain (Romans 8:28).

Though Christians face persecution (2 Timothy 3:12), God promises final justice (Revelation 21:4). Until then, suffering reminds humanity that this world is not our final home. God’s goodness is not measured by comfort, but by His redemptive purpose, eternal hope, and unfailing love.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and understanding of his will and purpose

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation.

WHEN GOOD AND BAD SEEM UNEQUAL — GOD’S HIGHER PURPOSE

Extraordinary help shall locate you because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional;

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

WHEN GOOD AND BAD SEEM U

NEQUAL — GOD’S HIGHER PURPOSE

One of life’s hardest questions is why good things happen to bad people and bad things happen to good people. Jesus addressed this tension in Matthew 5:44–48, teaching that God causes His sun to rise on both the evil and the good. This reveals a powerful truth: God is good by nature, and His love for humanity is not determined by circumstances. He calls us to be perfect—mature in love and character—just as our Father in heaven is perfect.

Job was described as blameless and upright, yet he experienced severe calamity (Job 1:21). His story reminds us that the worst can happen to the best because evil exists in the world and Satan comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Still, Job’s response shows the right posture of faith: “Naked I came… and naked shall I return.” Jesus echoed this truth when He said life does not consist in the abundance of possessions (Luke 12:15).

We must be careful not to conclude that suffering means someone is cursed. Through Jesus Christ, broken situations are reversible—that is why He commanded healing and restoration in Matthew 10:8. Zechariah the priest was declared righteous yet remained childless for years, (Luke 1:13 ) but this did not stop his faithful service to God. Our service should not depend on visible rewards.

Do not allow possessions or situations to define you. You are a child of the Most High, blessed with every spiritual blessing, and most importantly, your name is written in heaven (Luke 10:20). That eternal assurance matters more than temporary circumstances.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome depression. Lord, help me trust Your goodness beyond what I see and serve You faithfully in every season. Amen.

UNDERSTANDING THE MINISTRY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

You are given wisdom to solve complicated problems because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: UNDERSTANDING THE MINISTRY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

 Galatians 5:16 (AMP)

Christianity is not merely a belief system; it is a Spirit-led life. Romans 8:14 declares, “For all who are allowing themselves to be led by the Spirit of God are sons of God” (AMP).   Sonship is revealed not by title, age, or activity, but by submission to the Holy Spirit’s leading. In Acts 13:2, while the church ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit spoke clearly, directing the separation of Barnabas and Saul for divine assignment. This shows that the Spirit actively leads God’s people in purpose and mission.

The Holy Spirit is not an influence or a feeling; He is the third Person of the Trinity. Jesus introduced Him as our Helper, Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor, Counselor, Strengthener, and Standby (John 14:16 AMP). His ministry includes guiding believers into truth, empowering holy living, revealing God’s will, and equipping the church for effective service. Without the Spirit’s leadership, Christian life becomes religious activity without spiritual power.

Being led by the Spirit begins with yielding. Galatians 5:16 teaches that walking in the Spirit prevents the fulfillment of fleshly desires. Many believers desire God’s power but resist God’s process of surrender. True spiritual direction flows from daily obedience—choosing prayer over distraction, truth over compromise, and humility over pride. The Spirit leads through Scripture, inner witness, godly counsel, and conviction—not through confusion or disorder.

To be led by the Holy Spirit, one must recognize His authority and willingly submit to His guidance. As we cultivate sensitivity through prayer, fasting, and worship, we position ourselves to hear His voice and walk in divine alignment.

When the Spirit leads, our lives produce fruit, our service carries impact, and our journey reflects God’s glory.

In our daily prayers we should seek to be sensitive to and  led by the Holy Spirit .

PRAYER : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to heal the sick .

HOW TO RECEIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT

You shall continue to increase in strength regardless of the situation against you because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: HOW TO RECEIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

The Holy Spirit is God’s precious gift to every believer in Christ. He empowers us for holy living, bold witness, spiritual growth, and victorious Christian life (Acts 1:8). Scripture clearly reveals practical steps through which believers receive the Holy Spirit.

1. Repentance and Faith

Peter declared, “Repent, and be baptized… and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit” (Acts 2:38, AMP). Repentance is a turning away from sin and a turning toward God in faith. On the Day of Pentecost, about three thousand people repented, believed the gospel, and received the Spirit (Acts 2:41). A clean heart prepares the vessel for God’s Spirit.

2. Earnest Desire and Prayer

Jesus assured His disciples that the Father gives the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him (Luke 11:13). The early believers waited in prayer and unity in the upper room until the Spirit was poured out (Acts 1:14; 2:1–4). Hunger for God and persistent prayer opens the door for divine infilling.

3. Obedience to God

The Bible teaches that God gives the Holy Spirit to those who obey Him (Acts 5:32). Saul lost the Spirit because of rebellion and disobedience (1 Samuel 16:14). In contrast, David valued God’s presence and cried, “Do not take Your Holy Spirit from me” (Psalm 51:11). Obedience keeps the flow of the Spirit active in a believer’s life.

4. Laying on of Hands

God also uses spiritual impartation. When Paul laid hands on the Ephesian believers, the Holy Spirit came upon them (Acts 19:6). Timothy received a spiritual gift through this same process (2 Timothy 1:6).

Anyone who repents, believes in Christ, prays earnestly, walks in obedience, and yields fully to God can receive the Holy Spirit. He remains God’s abiding power for holy living, effective service, and victorious Christian growth.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation.

HINDRANCES TO BEING FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT

The anointing of God's favour is turning you into a righteous role model for many to follow.

Good -Life Devotional: HINDRANCES TO BEING FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Acts 2:4 (AMP) — “And they were all filled [that is, diffused throughout their being] with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues, as the Spirit enabled them.”

God’s desire for every believer is not partial infilling but continual fullness of the Holy Spirit for victorious living, effective service, and bold witness (Acts 1:8). Yet many Christians remain spiritually dry, not because God is unwilling, but because certain hindrances block the flow of His power.

One major hindrance is unrepented sin. Isaiah 59:1–2 teaches that sin separates and grieves the Spirit. When prayer becomes cold and the Word loses its sweetness, it is a call to return to genuine repentance. God is faithful to cleanse and restore (1 John 1:9).

Another barrier is unforgiveness and bitterness. Ephesians 4:30–32 warns that bitterness grieves the Holy Spirit. A heart full of anger cannot be full of the Spirit. Forgiving others releases divine freedom and healing in our souls.

Pride and self-dependence also hinder spiritual fullness. James 4:6 declares that God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. When we rely on our abilities instead of God’s power, we shut the door to supernatural help. Humility opens the channel of grace.

Lack of spiritual hunger is another obstacle. Jesus said those who hunger and thirst for righteousness shall be filled (Matthew 5:6). Lukewarmness and complacency starve the soul. Hunger is rekindled through prayer, fasting, and consistent meditation on God’s Word.

Finally, fear—fear of surrender or spiritual manifestations—limits our experience. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Trusting God fully allows the Spirit to work freely.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to preah the gospel. Lord, remove every hindrance in my heart. Cleanse me, humble me, and ignite fresh hunger within me.  in Jesus’ name. Amen.

WE NEED THE GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT BECAUSE OF WITCHCRAFT, SORCERY, AND MAGICIANS’ INFILTRATION IN THE CHURCH (part 2)

The anointing of God's favour will set confusion in the camp of the enemy.

Good -Life Devotional; WE NEED THE GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT BECAUSE OF WITCHCRAFT, SORCERY, AND MAGICIANS’ INFILTRATION IN THE CHURCH (part 2)

“But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all.” — 1 Corinthians 12:7 (AMP)

The power gifts—faith, healing, and miracles—exist to demonstrate God’s superior authority over every form of darkness. When Moses confronted the Egyptian magicians, their enchantments imitated God’s works for a moment, but Aaron’s rod swallowed theirs (Exodus 7–8). This reveals a spiritual principle: counterfeit power may impress, but God’s power always prevails.

In these times, the church must not rely on human wisdom or emotional hype, but on the authentic manifestation of the Holy Spirit.

One sign of witchcraft infiltration is when “prophets” commercialize miracles, demanding money instead of calling people to repentance. Others produce strange manifestations without biblical foundation, manipulate believers through fear, or display supernatural signs without preaching the Cross. Paul warned that Satan disguises himself as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:13–15). Therefore, discernment is critical.

How then do we actively walk in the gifts of the Spirit? First, we must desire the gifts (1 Corinthians 12:31; 14:1). Spiritual hunger positions the heart for divine release.

Second, we must live holy and separated lives, for the Spirit does not manifest strongly in vessels that resist purity.

Third, intimacy through prayer and the Word keeps us aligned with God’s voice. Fourth, submission to sound spiritual authority protects us from deception. Finally, every believer must reject all occult practices, as Scripture forbids any form of divination or spiritual compromise (Deuteronomy 18:10–12).

The end-time church must be spiritually armed. God has equipped us not only to survive, but to overcome, expose darkness, and glorify Christ.

PRAYER. Heavenly Father, forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour I humble myself before You. Fill me afresh with Your Holy Spirit. I commit to be a vessel of truth and power, used to destroy the works of the devil and advance Your Kingdom, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

WE NEED THE GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT BECAUSE OF WITCHCRAFT, SORCERY, AND MAGICIANS’ INFILTRATION IN THE CHURCH ( part 1)

Your family shall not fall apart but wax stronger in love  because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

WE NEED THE GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT BECAUSE OF WITCHCRAFT, SORCERY, AND MAGICIANS’ INFILTRATION IN THE CHURCH ( part 1)

 By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

“But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all.” — 1 Corinthians 12:7 (AMP)

In these last days, the Church is not only battling open persecution but also subtle spiritual infiltration. Scripture warns that “evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse” (2 Timothy 3:13). God’s response is not panic or fear—it is power. The Holy Spirit equips believers with spiritual gifts to preserve truth, expose deception, and protect the Body of Christ.

The Bible gives us clear examples. Simon the sorcerer (Acts 8:9–24) tried to buy spiritual power so he could continue deceiving people. Through discernment, Peter exposed his corrupt heart. Elymas the sorcerer (Acts 13:6–12) actively opposed the Gospel, and Paul, filled with the Spirit, confronted and silenced his influence. In Acts 16:16–18, a slave girl spoke accurate information through demonic inspiration, yet Paul discerned the source and cast out the spirit. These accounts teach us a serious truth: not every supernatural manifestation comes from God.

Today, counterfeit spiritual power is increasing. Jesus warned that false prophets would perform signs and wonders to deceive many (Matthew 24:24). This is why the gift of discerning of spirits is vital. It helps the Church recognize manipulation, false visions, lying spirits, and deceptive operations of darkness. Without it, believers can become spiritually blind.

The gifts of the word of knowledge and prophecy also reveal hidden matters, just as God exposed enemy plans in 2 Kings 6:12. These gifts guide the Church in righteousness, purity, and truth.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to serve you.

Holy Spirit, activate Your gifts in Your Church. Give us discernment, wisdom, and boldness to stand for truth. Protect us from deception and let Your light expose every work of darkness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

FASTING AND PRAYER: BEYOND MEATS AND DRINKS

Your family shall  not fail because of the anointing of God's favour upon you

Good -Life Devotional: FASTING AND PRAYER: BEYOND MEATS AND DRINKS

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Fasting and prayer in Scripture are not centered on food restrictions or material gain but on spiritual transformation. Romans 14:17 declares that “the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit” (AMP). Worldly fasting often pursues fleshly desires—breakthroughs rooted in greed, pleasure, and self-exaltation. In contrast, Spirit-led fasting seeks alignment with God’s will, producing the fruits of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, and self-control (Galatians 5:22–23).

Jesus warned against reducing prayer and fasting to material pursuit. He said the Gentiles eagerly seek food and clothing, but believers are to “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness” (Matthew 6:32–33). This pursuit invites heaven’s culture to prevail on earth—justice, holiness, mercy, and truth. When righteousness rules, provision follows naturally. Isaiah 32:17 affirms that “the work of righteousness will be peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever.” God’s order produces stability and progress.

Sadly, some false preachers encourage fasting primarily for money and possessions, fueling covetousness and corruption—an issue painfully visible in parts of Africa, including Nigeria. Yet Scripture teaches us to “set your mind and keep focused habitually on the things above” (Colossians 3:2). True fasting humbles the soul (Psalm 35:13), breaks the yoke of injustice (Isaiah 58:6), and renews spiritual strength (Isaiah 40:31).

Therefore, fasting is not about meats and drinks; it is about becoming vessels through which God’s righteous culture transforms lives and nations.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and hunger for the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit

PRAYER; Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to preach Righteousness.

GRACE BEYOND HUMAN EFFORT

The yoke of confusion and stagnation is broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: GRACE BEYOND HUMAN EFFORT

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Romans 9:16 declares, “So then God’s choice does not depend on human will or effort, but on God’s mercy [in His sovereign choice].” (AMP). This verse confronts a deeply human assumption—that salvation (Healing , prosperity , success, deliverance) is earned by religious performance, moral discipline, or personal striving. Paul’s argument dismantles this pride-based theology and re-centers the gospel on divine mercy.

From an apologetic standpoint, Romans 9:16 defends the justice of God by showing that salvation is not owed to anyone.God owes nobody anything , he owns everything. If salvation were a reward for effort, grace would cease to be grace (Romans 11:6).

Instead, God saves freely, not arbitrarily, but according to His redemptive purpose revealed in Christ. This does not make human responsibility meaningless; rather, it places human response within the framework of God’s initiating grace (John 6:44).

Critics often accuse this doctrine of promoting fatalism ( the belief that all events are predetermined and therefore inevitable) However, Scripture presents divine sovereignty and human responsibility as complementary truths. God shows mercy, yet He commands repentance and faith (Acts 17:30). The mystery is not a contradiction but a revelation of God’s superior wisdom.

Romans 9:16 humbles the believer. It reminds us that our standing before God is not secured by fasting, church attendance, or spiritual reputation, but by mercy alone.    This produces gratitude instead of pride, obedience instead of entitlement, and worship instead of self-glory.

When we understand that mercy—not merit—saved us, we stop boasting in ourselves and begin boasting in the cross (Galatians 6:14). Grace becomes our confidence, and Christ becomes our only hope.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and a willing and sensitive heart .

PRAYER; Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and wisdom for excellence.

MEASURING SUCCESS BY MONEY AND FAME: A DANGEROUS DECEPTION

Your family is under a covenant of divine preservation because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

MEASURING SUCCESS BY MONEY AND FAME: A DANGEROUS DECEPTION

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Measuring success by how much money and fame a person has makes one vulnerable to becoming a tool in Satan’s hand. Scripture warns clearly against this mindset. In 1 Timothy 6:4–5, Paul exposes teachers who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. He lists the fruits of this error: envy, strife, railings, and evil surmisings. The Greek phrase hypónoiai ponērai (ὑπόνοιαι πονηραί) means wicked suspicions and corrupt assumptions, attitudes that poison relationships and fracture society. When wealth becomes the yardstick of spirituality, the church and nation become morally sick.

Jesus Christ warned against this deception in Luke 12:15, teaching that life does not consist in the abundance of possessions.

True wealth is Christ in us, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27).   Revelation 3:17 further describes those who claim to be rich apart from Christ as spiritually poor, blind, and miserable. This describes much of the African church context, including Nigeria, where prosperity is often promoted without holiness, repentance, and character.

Ironically, Africans are making more money yet becoming poorer in values.

Nations that invest in moral capital—truth, justice, discipline—often become wealthier even with fewer natural resources (Proverbs 14:34). The Kingdom of God is not measured by material accumulation but by righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17). While God blesses the righteous materially (Proverbs 10:22), believers are warned to avoid teachers who equate fame and riches with divine approval (Matthew 7:15–20).

A nation is only as rich as its investment in morality. True success is conformity to Christ, not the size of one’s bank account.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and contentment and godliness.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome poverty.

HARDSHIP AND ADVERSITY ARE NOT PROOF OF THE ABSENCE OF GOD’S GRACE AND ANOINTING

You shall not be disgraced and abandoned because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: HARDSHIP AND ADVERSITY ARE NOT PROOF OF THE ABSENCE OF GOD’S GRACE AND ANOINTING

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Hardship and adversity are not indicators that God’s grace or anointing is absent from a believer’s life. The Apostle Paul, undeniably anointed and responsible for writing over half of the New Testament epistles, testified in Philippians 4:12–13 that the Christian life includes seasons of both abundance and need. He learned to be content in every situation through Christ’s strength. Likewise, Ecclesiastes 7:14 teaches that prosperity and adversity are both part of life’s rhythm under God’s sovereign wisdom.

It is therefore misleading to claim that suffering proves a lack of anointing. Some false teachers exploit this idea to extort money, suggesting that grace can only be accessed through financial “exchanges.” This contradicts Scripture. Hebrews 4:16 invites every believer to come boldly to the throne of grace to receive mercy and help in times of need—freely, without human intermediaries.

Grace is God’s unearned favor, love, mercy, and transforming influence, and it does not cease. Hebrews 13:5, Deuteronomy 31:6, and Joshua 1:5 affirm God’s constant presence, unwavering support, and faithfulness to His people.

The book of Acts further confirms this truth. In Acts 12, Peter was arrested despite being anointed, yet God’s presence did not depart from him. An angel delivered him, demonstrating that hardship does not cancel divine favor. Additional Scriptures such as John 16:33 (“In this world you will have tribulation”), 2 Corinthians 12:9 (“My grace is sufficient for you”), and Romans 8:35–39 show that trials cannot separate believers from the love of Christ.

God’s grace never leaves. Believers do not need to pay to receive it; it is freely given through Jesus Christ.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and understanding of his grace .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome condensation.

THERE ARE NO SECOND-CLASS CITIZENS IN THE COMMONWEALTH OF CHRIST

The anointing of God's favour upon you is giving you access to higher places .

Good -Life Devotional: THERE ARE NO SECOND-CLASS CITIZENS IN THE COMMONWEALTH OF CHRIST

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Ephesians 2:12 reminds us that before Christ we were “excluded from the commonwealth of Israel,” strangers to God’s covenant promises. The Greek word translated commonwealth is :'politeia", meaning citizenship, civic identity, and shared rights and privileges.   In Christ, believers are no longer outsiders but full citizens with equal standing. Verse 13 declares that we who were once far off have been brought near by the blood of Jesus Christ. This nearness is not based on race, tribe, social status, or denomination, but on grace.    Therefore, no Christian is more favored by God than another, despite what false preachers may suggest.

Ephesians 2:18–19 further emphasizes this truth: through Christ we all have equal access to the Father by one Spirit, and we are no longer strangers but fellow citizens with the saints. This means believers do not need to travel to a special location or attach themselves to a “spiritual elite” before their prayers can be answered. In Christ, none is holier by position; all are called to grow in holiness through obedience and faith.

This equality shaped the early church. Acts 2:44–45 records that believers had all things in common and ensured that no one was treated as a second-class citizen. Likewise, political leaders today must remember that the commonwealth is not personal property. They are stewards accountable to God and the people, and citizens must hold them responsible. God cares for His people today just as He cared for Israel, calling all to justice, unity, and shared responsibility.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and an end to oppression of God's people .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome oppression.

THE PROTECTION OF NATIONAL ASSETS AND THE PROSPERITY OF THE CHURCH

Extraordinary help shall locate you because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: THE PROTECTION OF NATIONAL ASSETS AND THE PROSPERITY OF THE CHURCH

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

The protection of national assets is a biblical principle that directly affects societal stability and, by extension, the prosperity of the Church. Scripture shows that God entrusts resources to faithful stewards who manage them with wisdom, accountability, and integrity. Daniel is a clear example. Though serving in a foreign land, he played a critical role in the administration of Babylon’s affairs. His exceptional spirit and integrity led the king to set him over the realm (Daniel 6:1–3), ensuring that the king “suffered no loss” (Daniel 6:2, AMP). Daniel’s faithfulness protected national assets and preserved order in government.

Similarly, Joseph’s stewardship in Egypt demonstrates how godly management leads to abundance. By divine wisdom, Joseph established a system of data gathering and storage during the years of plenty, safeguarding Egypt’s resources against famine (Genesis 41:33–36). As a result, Egypt not only survived the famine but prospered, and “all countries came into Egypt to Joseph to buy grain” (Genesis 41:57).

These biblical models highlight the importance of institutions such as a bureau of statistics and agencies that control government spending. Accurate data, proper valuation, quality control, and transparent pricing prevent waste, corruption, and the careless sale of national assets. The Bible affirms accountability: “Moreover, it is required of stewards that one be found faithful” (1 Corinthians 4:2).

Jesus Himself emphasized accountability. When He fed the multitudes, there was a clear record of numbers fed and leftovers gathered—twelve baskets in Matthew 14:20 and seven baskets in Matthew 15:37—demonstrating planning, measurement, and future-minded stewardship.

When national assets are protected through daily accountability and accessibility, societies flourish, poverty is reduced, and the Church operates in an environment of peace and provision, enabling it to fulfill its divine mandate (1 Timothy 2:2).

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and godly leadership.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to serve in integrity.

Scripture consistently teaches that God opposes injustice, especially the theft of public resources entrusted to leaders. In Zechariah 5:1–4, the prophet sees a flying scroll carrying a curse that enters the house of the thief and consumes it. This judgment is not hidden; it follows those who steal and those who swear falsely. Public office holders who take oaths—often invoking God’s name—to uphold the law and serve humanity, yet steal public funds, place themselves directly under this curse.

God further declares, “I hate robbery for burnt offering” (Isaiah 61:8). Offerings, donations, or even church buildings funded by stolen wealth do not appease God; they are an abomination. Abuse of public trust aligns with Satan’s agenda “to steal, kill, and destroy” (John 10:10), and God stands firmly against it. No amount of religious display can neutralize a curse rooted in unrepented sin.

True deliverance requires open confession and repentance. James 5:16 teaches that healing and restoration come through confessing sins and turning from them, not through ritualized prayers. Yet it is common to see corrupt politicians seeking the prayers of corrupt preachers—beneficiaries of their crimes—who offer false prophecies for gain, as condemned in Ezekiel 13:19–23. These lies give false hope, not freedom.

Joel 2:25 reminds us that when God sends His army—symbolized by the locusts—restoration follows repentance, not denial. The church must call for repentance, integrity, and restitution, like Zacchaeus did (Luke 19:8–9). Believers should avoid partnerships with corrupt systems (Proverbs 28:8) and demand trustworthy governance, for “ill-gotten gain troubles the house” (Habakkuk 2:9–11), but righteousness exalts a nation.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and contentment.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation.

CHURCH PRAYING AMISS RESULTS IN POVERTY

The curse of stagnation and poverty is broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

CHURCH PRAYING AMISS  RESULTS IN POVERTY

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

One major reason poverty persists among many Christian communities is not a lack of prayer, but praying amiss. In James 4:3, the Apostle James explains why some prayers go unanswered: “You ask [God for something] and do not receive it, because you ask amiss.” The Greek word translated amiss is κακῶς (kakōs), meaning wrongly, corruptly, or with evil motives. This reveals that prayer offered without alignment to God’s principles will not produce God’s results.

In Matthew 14:16 (AMP), Jesus told His disciples, “They do not need to go away; you give them something to eat.” God’s plan for provision involved leadership responsibility. Jesus placed the burden of feeding the people on those in authority. This establishes a biblical truth: leaders must be held accountable for hunger and poverty in the land. Provision is not only supernatural; it is also administrative and moral.

Unfortunately, many churches pray for prosperity while ignoring the character of those in governance. Praying for material increase without praying for honest leadership is praying amiss. Proverbs 29:2 says, “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people groan.” Poverty is often the fruit of dishonest governance, not divine neglect.

God addressed this clearly in Acts 6:3–6, where the church was instructed to appoint men of honest report, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, to manage resources. Integrity was     God’s solution to economic injustice. Similarly, Proverbs 11:11 teaches that a city is exalted by the upright but destroyed by the corrupt.

In Africa—especially Nigeria—many Christians pray for dishonest leaders, then blame God for poverty caused by their own choices. Hosea 4:6 warns that people suffer for lack of knowledge. The church must stop spiritualizing corruption, hold leaders accountable, and refuse to treat public wealth as private property. Righteous governance is a prayer point God answers.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and boldness to pursue good governance.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to get wealth .

POLITICAL POWER IS GIVEN BY God, NOT SEIZED BY GREED

Doors are being opened for extraordinary promotion because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: POLITICAL POWER IS GIVEN BY God, NOT SEIZED BY GREED

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Scripture consistently teaches that political power originates from God, not from human ambition or manipulation. “By Me kings reign, and rulers decree justice” (Proverbs 8:15, AMP). In 1 Kings 1:5, Adonijah exalted himself and attempted to take the throne, even though God’s choice—confirmed through David—was Solomon. Adonijah’s grasp for power was rooted in pride and greed, and it ended in judgment: “So King Solomon sent Benaiah… and he struck him down, and he died” (1 Kings 2:25). This narrative reveals a sobering truth: when power is seized against God’s will, destruction follows.

A similar warning appears in Judges 9. Abimelech murdered the sons of Gideon to unlawfully secure kingship. Though he appeared successful at first, Scripture declares that “God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the men of Shechem” (Judges 9:23), leading to chaos and his eventual death (Judges 9:54). God Himself opposed a throne He never ordained.

There are moments when power is “taken,” but only as an instrument of divine judgment. In Jeremiah 21, God delivered Judah into the hands of Babylon because of persistent sin. This confirms Daniel 2:21: “He removes kings and sets up kings.”

Africa—especially Nigeria—has suffered greatly where false teachers align with corrupt politicians to seize power undemocratically claiming power is taken and not given .    These preachers often benefit from injustice, while the people endure poverty and insecurity. Yet God’s standard remains clear. In Acts 6:3–4, the people were instructed to select leaders of “good reputation, full of the Spirit and wisdom.” This is a biblical foundation for accountable, people-oriented governance.

Therefore, the Church must pray earnestly for righteous leadership (1 Timothy 2:1–2), knowing that good governance promotes peace, justice, and the prosperity of God’s work among His people.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and promotion of good governance.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to promote good governance.
