James 5:17-18
[17]Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.
[18]And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit."
There is power in the prayer of the righteous in Jesus Christ. Here are more prayers for national deliverance .
5. BREAKING AGAINST SPIRITUAL OPPRESSION
Acts 10:38 (AMP)
“…Jesus… healing all who were oppressed by the devil…”
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, destroy every satanic influence enforcing oppression. Break spiritual strongholds over governance, economics, and the Church. Release freedom and healing.
6. RAISING RIGHTEOUS LEADERS
Psalm 72:4 (AMP)
“May he defend the afflicted… and crush the oppressor.”
PRAYER:
Father, raise leaders who fear You, hate corruption, and defend the poor. Remove selfish rulers. Establish men and women of integrity in authority.
7. CHURCH AWAKENING & COURAGE
Proverbs 31:8–9 (AMP)
“Open your mouth for the mute… defend the rights of the poor and needy.”
PRAYER:
Awaken Your Church to speak boldly for justice. Remove distraction and compromise. Restore prophetic clarity and moral courage.
8. DECLARATION OF VICTORY
Isaiah 54:17 (AMP)
“No weapon that is formed against you will prosper…”
Declaration:
No weapon of oppression shall prosper. Justice shall prevail. The Church shall arise. Our nation Nigeria shall experience deliverance.
  These prayers have to be part of our daily prayers until our nation is delivered .
PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome bad governance.
