The wicked shall suffer continuous retrogression because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.
Good -Life Devotional: GOD THE FATHER CALLS JESUS CHRIST GOD
"YOUR THRONE, O GOD'
“But as to the Son, He says, ‘Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, and the righteous scepter is the scepter of His kingdom.’” — Hebrews 1:8 (AMP)
“Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; the scepter of Your kingdom is a scepter of righteousness.” — Psalm 45:6 (AMP)
One of the most profound revelations in Scripture is that God the Father speaks to the Son and calls Him God. Hebrews 1:8, quoting Psalm 45:6, removes every doubt concerning the identity of Jesus Christ. He is not merely a messenger of God like the angels, nor a righteous teacher among many. He is the eternal King whose throne existed before time and will remain long after time has ceased.
Earthly thrones are temporary. Kingdoms rise through power, strategy, and conquest, and they eventually fall through corruption, rebellion, or decay. Yet the throne of Christ stands untouched by these forces. His authority is not sustained by armies or human approval but by His divine nature. Because His throne is eternal, His promises are unbreakable, and His covenant with His people is secure.
The Scripture further reveals that the scepter of Christ’s kingdom is righteousness. This means His rule is just, pure, and trustworthy. Unlike human systems that often reward compromise, Christ governs with moral perfection. He loves righteousness and hates wickedness, not arbitrarily, but because righteousness preserves life, peace, and truth.
For the believer, this truth is deeply comforting. We serve a King whose power is holy and whose authority is compassionate. When life feels unstable and the world seems unjust, we are reminded that the ultimate government rests on Christ’s shoulders. His throne has not shifted, and His scepter has not weakened.
To live under His reign is to submit joyfully to His righteous rule, trusting that every command flows from perfect wisdom and love.
In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and revelation of the person of Christ .
PRAYER Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to preach the gospel. Dear Lord Jesus, eternal King, I submit my life to Your righteous reign. Rule my heart with truth, establish Your will in my choices, and let my confidence rest in Your unshakable throne. Amen.
DECLARATION:
Christ reigns forever, and I live securely under His righteous rule.
