Good -Life Devotional: RECOGNIZING TRUTH & RESPONDING TO GOD

Key Scripture: Romans 1:19-20; Psalm 19:1; 2 Corinthians 4:4; Romans 10:14

Many people say, “If God is real, shouldn’t everyone recognize the truth naturally without being told?” It sounds reasonable, but Scripture shows a deeper reality: God has revealed Himself, yet not everyone sees Him clearly.

The Bible teaches that God has woven evidence of His existence into creation. Romans 1:19-20 explains that His power and divine nature are visible through the world He made. Psalm 19:1 says Creation declares His glory. In other words, God has made knowledge of Himself available—not hidden.

So why doesn’t everyone believe automatically? Because human perception is affected by spiritual blindness and personal choices. According to 2 Corinthians 4:4, people can be blinded to spiritual truth. Romans 1:21 describes how some suppress what they know inside because they would rather live apart from God. The issue isn’t that God is absent; the issue is that hearts and minds can resist what He reveals.

This is why God invites His people to share the message. Not to pressure, manipulate, or force belief, but to lovingly declare what is true. Romans 10:14 reminds us that people cannot believe in what they have never heard. God chooses to work through people, not because He is weak, but because He values relationship and free will. Love must be chosen, not programmed.

Today, ask God to help you see truth clearly. Ask Him to open your spiritual eyes where confusion, doubt, or distraction has tried to blind you. And pray for courage to share your faith gently—with compassion, humility, and patience.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to pray effectively . Lord, thank You for revealing Yourself. Open my eyes to Your truth, strengthen my faith, and help me share Your light with grace. Amen.
