 SOWING TO THE SPIRIT

"Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you." Philippians 4:9 NLT

  ".. he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life." Galatians 6:8 NKJV

   We will all live forever , the human spirit is indestructible  , while some persons will be sent to a domain of eternal judgment and grief   , those who have received the free gift of salvation by grace shall be in the domain of eternal joy , peace in the Holy Spirit .  The clause 'everlasting life ' in Galatians 6:8  is from the Greek word 'zōē' it means : the state of one who is possessed of vitality or is animate , a living soul, of the absolute fullness of life, both essential and ethical, which belongs to God, life real and genuine, a life active and vigorous, devoted to God, blessed, in the portion even in this world of those who put their trust in Christ, but after the resurrection to be consummated by new accessions (among them a more perfect body), and to last for ever.(Thayer/Strong Dictionaries)

    There is so much falsehood in the world and much of it has made its way into the Church by reason of the type of theology being promoted by those who merchandise God's people by promising them a life devoid of problems as long as regular donations are made to their infinitesimal ministries. 

  Problems are part of the christian life , it's how the Christlike character is formed . The Bible says " Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing."James 1:2‭-‬4 NLT

  Giving money to preachers will not prevent problems , God allows problems in our lives to enable grow wiser  and stronger.

   The word 'soweth' or sows is from the Greek word speirō it means to scatter seed . When the Bible speaks of seed in this context as in 2 Corinthians 9:10 "..  he that ministereth seed to the sower .." it goes beyond agricultural crops seed e.g wheat, rice etc , it is the Greek word 'sperma'  it means the grain or kernel which contains within itself the germ of the future plants, a residue, or a few survivors reserved as the germ of the next generation (just as seed is kept from the harvest for the sowing) the semen virile ,the product of this semen, seed, children, offspring, progeny family, tribe, posterity, whatever possesses vital force or life giving power of divine energy of the Holy Spirit operating within the soul by which we are regenerated. ( Thayer/ strong Dictionaries) 

  Therefore, 'seed' is everything needed to ensure the propagation of the generation of born again Christians from age to age . 'Seed' is living for Christ by the Holy Spirit. All you have , children, sperm, wealth , health are for promoting the work of the Holy Spirit on earth . The scriptures says "Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit."Galatians 6:8 NLT

 Prayer : Heavenly father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as Lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to spread the gospel  in Jesus name.
