HE REDEEMS OUR SOULS FROM DEATH

You are free from demonic spirits because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

HE REDEEMS OUR SOULS FROM DEATH

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

 Psalms 34:22

"The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate."

The word 'redeemeth' is the Hebrew word 'pâdâh' it means to preserve . This means a soul could be lost or destroyed. This is what happens when a person gets initiated in to a satanic society or cult .

In the Bible, the terms soul and spirit are sometimes used interchangeably, but they can have distinct meanings depending on the context.

1. Soul (Hebrew: "nephesh", Greek: "psuché")

The soul often refers to the whole person, including their life, desires, emotions, and individuality. It is the seat of human emotions, will, and consciousness ( senses )

The soul encompasses a person’s mental and emotional life and is sometimes seen as their personality or essence.

In some contexts, it refers to the life or life force of a person, including both their earthly existence and eternal life.

The bible says in Genesis 2:7: "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." Here, “soul” refers to a living being, with God giving life through His breath.

In Matthew 16:26: "For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?" The soul is seen as something of ultimate value, beyond material wealth.

In Psalm 42:11: "Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God."

Here, the soul expresses emotions like despair and hope, showing its role in a person's inner emotional life.

The soul is different from the spirit . The word used to describe the. Spirit (Hebrew: "ruach", Greek: "pneuma")

The spirit is generally seen as the immaterial part of a human that connects to God. It is the breath or divine aspect that returns to God after death.

The spirit is often viewed as the God-conscious part of a person, which allows for communication and relationship with God.

While the soul is tied to personal identity and emotions, the spirit is the part that is attuned to God and spiritual realities.

The bible says in Ecclesiastes 12:7: "Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it."

This verse reflects the belief that the spirit is a divine gift from God and returns to Him upon death.

Also 1 Corinthians 2:11: "For who knows a person’s thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God."

The spirit is the deeper, inner part of a person that is capable of knowing and discerning spiritual truths.

The bible says in Romans 8:16: "The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God."

This shows that the human spirit connects with the Holy Spirit, allowing believers to recognize their relationship with God.

Demons use human souls to experience the human world and express themselves through such persons in the case of demon possessions . When a person is delivered, the soul is restored as the demon departs .. The bible says Psalms 23:3  'He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake."

A life of righteousness prevents a person from losing their souls to the devil . In Christ our souls are restored by his blood .

PRAYER : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome occultic powers .
