THE CORRELATION BETWEEN PRAYER AND RELATIONSHIPS

   Prayer and relationships are deeply interconnected, as both require commitment, sincerity, and a heart aligned with God’s will. Jesus emphasized this connection in Mark 11:25 (AMP):

"Whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you your transgressions and wrongdoings."

   This verse highlights that prayer is not merely about speaking to God but also about maintaining a heart free from bitterness and resentment. If our relationship with God is hindered by unforgiveness, it naturally affects our relationships with others. A person who struggles to forgive in prayer will likely struggle to forgive in personal relationships.

Similarly, Matthew 15:8 (AMP) warns against superficial worship:

"These people honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far away from Me."

Just as empty worship reflects a distant relationship with God, a lack of sincerity in prayer often mirrors a lack of depth in human relationships. If one’s approach to God is shallow, self-seeking, or routine, their relationships may follow the same pattern—marked by a lack of true connection and commitment.

  You cannot fully commit to a relationship with others if you have not learned to commit to a relationship with God. Genuine worship and prayer cultivate a heart of love, patience, and forgiveness, which are the same qualities needed for healthy relationships. Strengthening your relationship with God will naturally transform how you relate to others.

  In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and forgiveness for those who have hurt us.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to forgive .
