CHRISTIAN DISCIPLINE: A PATH TO HOLINESS AND FRUITFULNESS

The plans of the enemy against your family shall fail because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: CHRISTIAN DISCIPLINE: A PATH TO HOLINESS AND FRUITFULNESS

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Christian discipline is foundational to spiritual growth and reflects the Father’s love for His children. Scripture teaches that discipline is not punitive but corrective, shaping believers into Christ’s likeness.

The writer of Hebrews reminds us: “For the Lord disciplines and corrects those whom He loves… for our good, so that we may share His holiness” (Hebrews 12:6, 10 AMP). Like a caring parent, God trains His children to turn from sin and walk in righteousness. Though discipline may seem painful at the moment, it produces “the peaceful fruit of righteousness” (Hebrews 12:11).

Personal discipline is essential in the Christian journey. Paul urges believers: “Train yourself for godliness” (1 Timothy 4:7), likening it to an athlete who exercises self-control to win a crown (1 Corinthians 9:24–27). This involves daily habits of prayer, fasting, meditation on the Word, and resisting sinful desires (Galatians 5:22–23). Without such discipline, believers risk spiritual weakness and fruitlessness.

Christian discipline also extends to the church community. Jesus outlined a process of correcting a sinning brother in love to restore fellowship (Matthew 18:15–17). Paul instructed churches to admonish the unruly for their repentance and salvation (2 Thessalonians 3:14–15). Such corporate discipline, when exercised in humility, preserves holiness in the Body of Christ.

Ultimately, Christian discipline aligns believers with God’s will, cultivates holiness, and equips them for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16–17). Yielding to God’s loving correction and practicing self-control leads to a life that glorifies Christ and bears eternal fruit.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and a heart open to discipline.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome the fear of poverty .

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE RELIGIOUS PROUD

You shall eat of the good of the land because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE RELIGIOUS PROUD

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Religious pride is a subtle but dangerous sin that hinders true fellowship with God. Jesus illustrates this in Luke 18:11–12, where the Pharisee prayed, “God, I thank You that I am not like other people… I fast twice a week; I pay tithes of all that I get.” This self-exalting attitude displeases God, for “He resists the proud but gives grace to the humble” (James 4:6, AMP). Here are some of the attributes of the religious proud:

SELF-RIGHTEOUSNESS – They believe their good works make them righteous before God (Romans 10:3).

COMPARING THEMSELVES TO OTHERS – Like the Pharisee, they measure holiness by looking down on others (Luke 18:11).

BOASTING IN RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES – Pride manifests in public displays of fasting, tithing, or prayers for recognition (Matthew 6:1–5).

LACK OF REPENTANCE – They see no need to confess sins, claiming moral superiority (1 John 1:8).

DESPISING SINNERS – They shun and condemn those they deem less spiritual (Luke 7:39).

RESISTANCE TO GOD’S CORRECTION – Proud hearts reject rebuke and guidance from the Word (Proverbs 16:18).

SEEKING HUMAN PRAISE – Their devotion is driven by applause, not God’s glory (John 12:43).

TWISTING SCRIPTURE FOR SELF-JUSTIFICATION – Pride manipulates God’s Word to excuse wrongdoing (Mark 7:9).

HYPOCRISY – Outwardly holy but inwardly corrupt (Matthew 23:27–28).

FAILURE TO DEPEND ON GRACE – They trust in rituals instead of the saving power of Christ (Ephesians 2:8–9).

Religious pride blinds the soul, making one an enemy of God. True righteousness comes only through humility and faith in Jesus, who said, “Everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted” (Luke 18:14).

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and humility of the Holy Spirit.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to be humble .

GOD SCATTERS THE PLANS OF THE PROUD

The preparation of evil against you shall be scattered because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: GOD SCATTERS THE PLANS OF THE PROUD

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

The Scripture declares, “He has scattered those who were proud in the thoughts of their hearts” (Luke 1:51 AMP). Pride stands in direct opposition to God’s nature; therefore, He actively resists the proud. James 4:6 reminds us that “God is opposed to the proud and haughty, but [continually] gives [the gift of] grace to the humble.” Many Christians mistakenly interpret certain spiritual hindrances as attacks from the devil, yet some are actually God’s own angels standing in opposition to prideful actions. In Numbers 22:23, the Angel of the Lord resisted Balaam’s reckless self-will, demonstrating that divine resistance is a form of mercy meant to redirect us.

Job 5:12 says, “He frustrates the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot carry out their plans.” Similarly, Jesus overturned the tables of the proud money changers in Matthew 21:12, showing that arrogance in God’s house invites His direct intervention. Pride breeds fear because it trusts in self rather than God, leaving the soul restless and at risk of missing heaven (Proverbs 16:18).

To avoid divine resistance, believers must yield to the Holy Spirit, who produces meekness and humility. Galatians 6:1 instructs us to restore others “in a spirit of gentleness,” while Ephesians 4:2 calls us to “live as becomes you… with complete humility.” When we humble ourselves under God’s mighty hand (1 Peter 5:6), He not only lifts us up but also ensures that no plan of the enemy can prosper against us (Isaiah 54:17).

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and the spirit of meekness.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome pride .

MINISTERS OF THE NEW COVENANT

Your weaknesses shall be turned into overwhelming advantage because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:  MINISTERS OF THE NEW COVENANT

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

In 2 Corinthians 3:6, Paul affirms that God "has made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life." This verse defends the sufficiency of every true believer, not by natural ability, but through the Holy Spirit. Our sufficiency (Greek: hikanóō – to make fit, enable, qualify) comes from God, who has anointed us to be His servants under the new covenant of grace and truth.

Jesus said in John 15:15, "I no longer call you servants... but friends, for everything I learned from My Father I have made known to you." This access to divine revelation is a mark of our calling and qualification. Furthermore, 1 John 2:27 affirms, “the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you.” The Greek word chrísma (anointing) points to the Holy Spirit’s empowering presence, equipping believers for ministry.

We are not lacking in grace or anointing. Ephesians 4:7 declares, “to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift.” This divine enablement is proportionate to Christ’s own generosity. Like the apostles in Acts 4:29, we must pray for boldness to speak the Word faithfully.

God has given all we need for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3), and by the Spirit, we are competent ministers, filled, called, and empowered to proclaim Christ with confidence and power.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and boldness to preach the gospel.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to minister in your kingdom.

PERFECTING HOLINESS IN THE FEAR OF GOD

You shall not be stranded and confused because of the anointing of God's favour upon you. .

Good -Life Devotional; PERFECTING HOLINESS IN THE FEAR OF GOD

 By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

2 Corinthians 7:1 (AMP) declares, “Therefore, since we have these great and wonderful promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, completing holiness [living a consecrated life—a life set apart for God’s purpose] in the fear of God.” This verse is rooted in the previous chapter, 2 Corinthians 6:17, which commands, “Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.” Paul is teaching that the Christian life is one of separation from moral and spiritual defilement—both external and internal. This is a condition for the fulfilment of God's promises in our lives .

The phrase “cleanse ourselves” does not imply salvation by works but a response to God’s promises (2 Corinthians 6:16–18). True holiness is not legalism but devotion, motivated by reverence for God. Jesus taught similarly in Mark 7:23, where He explained that “all these evil things come from within and defile a person,” affirming the need for inward purification.

The “fear of God” is a reverential awe that moves believers to pursue holiness (Proverbs 16:6). Hebrews 12:14 reinforces this call: “Pursue peace with all men, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.” Likewise, Romans 12:1 urges believers to “present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God.”

In a world increasingly tolerant of sin, Christians are called to live distinctively. This passage defends the necessity of sanctification, both as a response to God's grace and as evidence of true discipleship. The gospel does not only save—it sanctifies.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and sanctification of spirit soul and body.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to live in holiness.

LET THE WORD OF CHRIST DWELL IN YOU RICHLY

Your losses shall be turned into extraordinary recovery because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: LET THE WORD OF CHRIST DWELL IN YOU RICHLY

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Colossians 3:16–17 (AMP) declares: “Let the [spoken] word of Christ have its home within you [dwelling in your heart and mind—permeating every aspect of your being] as you teach [spiritual things] and admonish and train one another with all wisdom... And whatever you do... do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus.”

This profound exhortation not only commands personal devotion but underscores the sufficiency and authority of Christ’s word in the life of the believer.

This verse affirms the Bible’s central role in Christian life and defense of the faith. The "word of Christ" is not merely to be read—it is to dwell richly, shaping how we think, act, and teach others. It empowers believers to correct error, strengthen fellow saints, and remain anchored in truth (2 Timothy 3:16–17).

Furthermore, letting Christ’s word dwell "richly" implies abundance, not superficial engagement. Psalm 119:11 says, “Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You.” The word guards us from deception, equips us for every good work, and keeps us in right fellowship with God.

Verse 17 calls believers to do everything in Jesus' name. This supports the apologetic stance that Christian ethics are rooted not in culture but in Christ’s lordship (Romans 12:1–2). True worship and witness arise from a heart filled with the Word and a life lived under His authority.

Therefore, a robust teaching of the gospel begins with Scripture dwelling richly within. Without it, no argument can be enduringly persuasive. Spend quality on God's word on a daily basis.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and commitment to thorough research of scriptures .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and boldness to preach the gospel.

MORTIFY THE EARTHLY NATURE, PUT ON THE NEW MAN

The anointing of God's favour is turning your fails into testimonies of breakthroughs..

Good -Life Devotional : MORTIFY THE EARTHLY NATURE, PUT ON THE NEW MAN

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

In Colossians 3:5, believers are commanded to "put to death therefore your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry" (AMP). These fleshly tendencies wage war against the soul (1 Peter 2:11) and must be mortified daily. Paul continues in verses 8–9 urging Christians to put off anger, rage, malice, slander, filthy language, and lying. These characteristics are incompatible with the new life in Christ.

Instead, we are instructed in Colossians 3:12–13 to put on compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and forgiving as the Lord forgave us. This transformation is possible as we are “renewed in knowledge after the image of our Creator” (Colossians 3:10). The new man is not a result of self-effort but of God’s Word working in us. As Psalm 119:11 says, “Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You.”

The key to victorious Christian living is to meditate daily on Scripture (Joshua 1:8). The Word of God exposes sin (Hebrews 4:12), renews the mind (Romans 12:2), and builds faith (Romans 10:17). The more we know Christ, the more we are transformed into His likeness (2 Corinthians 3:18).

Commit today to kill the old nature, put off the sinful habits, and clothe yourself with Christlike virtues through daily fellowship with God's Word. Only then will we truly walk as new creations (2 Corinthians 5:17).

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and commitment to walk in the newness of life in Jesus Christ.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to heal the sick .

HE IS FAITHFUL THAT PROMISED

God's promises concerning your family shall come to pass regardless of the prevailing  circumstances because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: HE IS FAITHFUL THAT PROMISED

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

“Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised)” — Hebrews 10:23 (KJV)

The call in Hebrews 10:23 is a powerful encouragement to cling tenaciously to our “profession” of faith. The Greek word translated “profession” is homologia (ὁμολογία), meaning confession, declaration, or acknowledgment—especially of allegiance to Christ. To “hold fast” implies perseverance amid trials. The word “wavering” is aklinēs (ἀκλινής), meaning firm, unmoved, not leaning away. Believers are urged to remain steadfast in faith because God, the one who promised, is faithful.

This truth was powerfully demonstrated in the life of Sarah. Though she was scientifically and biologically past childbearing age, she “received strength to conceive seed… because she judged him faithful who had promised” (Hebrews 11:11). Human limitations cannot hinder divine fulfillment. God’s promises are not based on circumstances but on His unchanging character.

Titus 1:2 declares that God “cannot lie,” and Numbers 23:19 affirms: “God is not a  man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent.” When He speaks, it shall come to pass (Isaiah 55:11). We are thus called to anchor our hope, not in what is seen, but in the immutable promises of God (2 Corinthians 5:7; Romans 4:20-21).

Let us then hold firm to our confession, refuse to waver in doubt, and trust confidently in the faithful God who always keeps His word. “Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it” (1 Thessalonians 5:24).

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and faith in his word for the miraculous.

PRAYER; Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome depression.

VESSELS OF HONOUR: FIT FOR THE MASTER’S USE

The anointing of God's favour upon you is removing reproach from your family.

Good-Life Devotional: VESSELS OF HONOUR: FIT FOR THE MASTER’S USE

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

In 2 Timothy 2:19–21, the Apostle Paul declares, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.” He explains that in a great house, there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay—some for honor, others for dishonor. Only those who cleanse themselves from iniquity will become “vessels of honour, sanctified and useful to the Master, prepared for every good work.” This call is not for passive belief but for active purification.

Iniquity, as seen in Galatians 5:19–21, includes the works of the flesh: adultery, fornication, hatred, jealousy, drunkenness, and others. Paul warns that “those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” Thus, a vessel of honor must be purged from these dead works. Hebrews 9:14 confirms that the blood of Christ “purges our conscience from dead works to serve the living God.”

A Christian who is truly a vessel of honor promotes a righteous culture wherever they are—be it in family, government, school, or marketplace. Jesus commands in Matthew 5:16, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Titus 2:7–8 urges believers to show “a pattern of good works,” and to live above reproach.

Therefore, every believer must pursue holiness (Hebrews 12:14), depart from all unrighteousness, and be devoted to building a culture that glorifies Christ. Only such believers are vessels fit for the Master’s use.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and a righteous culture in our nation .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me for my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to live in righteousness.

THE FOUNDATION OF GOD STANDS SURE: BUILD YOUR LIFE ON IT

What was meant for the collapse of your family shall make you stronger and more fruitful because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.
Good -Life Devotional:
THE FOUNDATION OF GOD STANDS SURE:  BUILD YOUR LIFE ON IT

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi
2 Timothy 2:19 (AMP) declares, “Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God stands [sure and unshaken]...”
This foundation is sealed with two truths: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and “Let everyone who names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.” Iniquity means lawlessness, moral perversion, and rebellion against God's standards (Hebrew: ‘avon). It is the crooked nature of sin, not merely sinful acts.
God’s true foundation is Christ Himself. According to 1 Corinthians 3:11, “No other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.” Every genuine ministry, marriage, or life must be built on this rock (Luke 6:48). Jesus said the wise man builds on the rock by hearing and doing His word. Storms of life will come, but that house will stand.
The foundation also includes the apostles and prophets, “with Christ Jesus Himself as the chief cornerstone” (Ephesians 2:20). A true apostle teaches holiness and repentance, not motivational strategies. Unlike the modern trend that avoids confronting sin to attract crowds, biblical preaching demands separation from iniquity (2 Corinthians 6:17).
Paul laid this foundation in the early Church, as seen in 1 Corinthians 3:10, warning others to be careful how they build upon it. Hebrews 6:1 calls us to move beyond the basics and lay again “the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God.”
Any marriage, ministry, or nation not built on Christ will fall. But if Christ is the foundation, it shall stand sure—forever.
In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and a repentant heart .
PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome sin .

APOLOGETICS ON THE TRINITY

The yoke of near-success syndrome is broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good-Life Devotional:

APOLOGETICS ON THE TRINITY

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

(DEFENDING THE BIBLICAL DOCTRINE OF ONE GOD IN THREE PERSONS)

1. The Objection:

"The word ‘Trinity’ is not in the Bible!"

Response:

That’s true — the word isn’t found in Scripture, but the doctrine clearly is. Just as the word "Bible" is not in the Bible, the concept is taught throughout. The Trinity means one God (Deuteronomy 6:4) who eternally exists as three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19).

2. The Objection:

"How can God be three and one at the same time? That’s a contradiction!"

Response:

It would be a contradiction if we said God is three in the same way He is one. But that’s not the case. Christians believe:

God is one in essence (what He is),

and three in person (who He is).

This is a mystery, not a contradiction — just as light is one substance but can be wave, particle, and energy. Humans are also Spirit , soul and body , Water is ice , water and steam and so on.

3. BIBLICAL EVIDENCE FOR THE TRINITY

a) One God (Monotheism):

Deuteronomy 6:4: "The Lord our God, the Lord is one."

Isaiah 45:5: "I am the LORD, and there is no other."

b) THE FATHER IS GOD:

1 Corinthians 8:6: "…one God, the Father, from whom all things came…"

c) THE SON IS GOD:

John 1:1: "In the beginning was the Word… and the Word was God."

John 20:28: Thomas said to Jesus, “My Lord and my God!”

d) THE HOLY SPIRIT IS GOD:

Acts 5:3–4: Lying to the Holy Spirit is lying to God.

1 Corinthians 3:16: The Spirit dwells in believers, making them God’s temple.

e) ALL THREE IN ONE SCENE:

Matthew 3:16–17 (Baptism of Jesus): Jesus is baptized, the Spirit descends like a dove, the Father speaks from heaven.

Matthew 28:19: "…baptizing them in the name (singular) of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit."

4. EARLY CHURCH BELIEF

The early Christians fought heresies by defending the Trinity:

Council of Nicaea (A.D. 325): Affirmed Jesus is fully God.

Council of Constantinople (A.D. 381): Affirmed the deity of the Holy Spirit.

5. WHY IT MATTERS

The Trinity protects the truth of the gospel — only the Father can send, only the Son can die for sin, and only the Spirit can regenerate and empower.

Denying the Trinity leads to a false god, a false Jesus, and a false gospel (2 Corinthians 11:4).It is like denying that man is spirit , soul , body .

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and boldness to preach the gospel.

PRAYER : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome poverty.

COMMON APOLOGETICS QUESTIONS A CHRISTIAN ENCOUNTERS ( part 2

The curse of untimely death is broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: COMMON APOLOGETICS QUESTIONS A CHRISTIAN ENCOUNTERS  ( part 2

)
By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi
5. WHY BELIEVE JESUS ROSE FROM THE DEAD?
Response:
The resurrection was witnessed by over 500 people (1 Corinthians 15:3–8). The tomb was empty, and the disciples died proclaiming it. No one dies for a lie they made up.
6. ISN’T CHRISTIANITY JUST ONE OF MANY RELIGIONS?
Response:
Jesus made EXCLUSIVE claims: “I am the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6). Unlike other founders, Jesus claimed to be God ( John 10;33,36) , performed miracles, fulfilled prophecy, and rose from the dead.
7. WHY WOULD A LOVING GOD SEND PEOPLE TO HELL?
Response:
God is just (Romans 2:5–6) and gives people the choice to accept or reject Him. Hell is not God's desire (2 Peter 3:9), but a result of rejecting His gift of salvation (John 3:18). Hell is by choice and God respects human choices .
8. WAS JESUS REALLY BORN OF A VIRGIN?
Response:
Yes, as prophesied in Isaiah 7:14 and fulfilled in Matthew 1:22–23. This shows His divine origin, being conceived by the Holy Spirit (Luke 1:35), not by human means.
9. ISN’T FAITH JUST BLIND BELIEF?
Response:
Christian faith is not blind—it’s based on evidence (Hebrews 11:1). God invites us to reason (Isaiah 1:18) and examine the truth of Scripture, prophecy, and the life of Jesus.
10. WHAT MAKES CHRISTIANITY DIFFERENT FROM OTHER RELIGIONS?
Response:
All other religions are about human effort to reach God. Christianity is about God reaching down to save us through Christ (Ephesians 2:8–9). Only Jesus offers forgiveness and eternal life through grace. Other religion cannot make a person righteous before God but in Christianity we have received the gift of righteousness .
In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and commitment to preach the gospel.

COMMON APOLOGETICS QUESTIONS A CHRISTIAN ENVOUNTERS (part 1)

The yoke of stagnation and confusion is broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good-Life Devotional;

COMMON APOLOGETICS QUESTIONS A CHRISTIAN ENVOUNTERS (part 1)

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Apologetics helps us to understand the bible better from the perspective of a critical thinker . Faith is logical and reasonable  Here’s a helpful list of common apologetics questions that Christians often encounter, along with brief suggestions on how to answer them biblically and thoughtfully. These can be useful for evangelism, discipleship, or strengthening your own faith.

1. IS THERE ANY EVIDENCE THAT GOD EXISTS?

Response:

Yes. Romans 1:20 says God's invisible attributes are clearly seen through creation. Design in nature, moral conscience (Romans 2:15), and the order of the universe all point to an intelligent Creator.

2. HOW CAN JESUS BE GOD AND THE SON OF GOD AT THE SAME TIME?

Response:

This refers to the Trinity. Jesus is God the Son, distinct in person but one in essence with the Father and Spirit (John 1:1, John 10:30). "Son of God" denotes relationship, not inferiority, just like a man's image on a mirror, Jesus Christ is the express image of God to show us how God looks like (Hebrew1:3)

3. IF GOD IS GOOD, WHY DOES HE ALLOW EVIL AND SUFFERING?

Response:

God allows free will (Deuteronomy 30:19), and with it comes the potential for evil. But God can bring good even out of suffering (Romans 8:28). Jesus Himself suffered to defeat sin and death (Hebrews 2:10).

4. IS THE BIBLE TRUSTWORTHY AND NOT JUST A BOOK WRITTEN BY MEN?

Response:

The Bible was written by men inspired by God (2 Timothy 3:16). It has historical, archaeological, and prophetic accuracy, with over 5,000 early manuscripts supporting the New Testament.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and the spirit of wisdom and revelation.

SANCTIFY THE LORD IN YOUR HEART AND BE READY TO DEFEND THE GOSPEL ( APOLOGETICS )

The anointing of God's favour will frustrate every plan of the enemy against you.

Good+Life Devotional : SANCTIFY THE LORD IN YOUR HEART AND BE READY TO DEFEND THE GOSPEL ( APOLOGETICS )

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

"But in your hearts set Christ apart [as holy—acknowledging Him, giving Him first place in your lives] as Lord. Always be ready to give a logical defense to anyone who asks you to account for the hope and confident assurance [elicited by faith] that is within you, yet do it with gentleness and respect." —1 Peter 3:15 (AMP)

Apologetics is the rational defense of the Christian faith. In 1 Peter 3:15, believers are commanded to always be ready to give an answer—a defense (Greek: apologia)—to anyone who questions their faith. This does not merely involve debating but presenting the truth about Christ with clarity, reason, and love.

The foundation of apologetics begins with setting apart Christ as Lord in our hearts. This implies full submission to His authority, which fuels a life that reflects the gospel. Our godly conduct attracts curiosity from unbelievers, opening doors for conversations about our hope.

The "hope" Peter refers to is the living hope we have through Christ’s resurrection (1 Peter 1:3). Christians must be prepared to explain why they believe in Jesus, the truth of His resurrection, the reliability of Scripture, and the reality of salvation and eternal life.

However, our defense must be done with gentleness and reverence. Arrogance or hostility undermines the gospel. True apologetics reflects Christ's humility and love, ensuring that even if people reject the message, they can’t deny the grace with which it was delivered.

Thus, 1 Peter 3:15 teaches that apologetics is not just about knowledge, but also about holiness, readiness, and Christlike character.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and understanding of the mysteries of the gospel.

PRAYER : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to resist the devil .

SUSTAINING YOUR ZEAL FOR WORSHIP

The anointing of God's favour is restoring your zeal for worship and fulfilment of your purpose .

Good -Life Devotional: SUSTAINING YOUR ZEAL FOR WORSHIP

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

True worship is not a mere Sunday ritual—it is a lifestyle marked by passion, consistency, and reverence for God. Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” The word diligently in Greek (ekzēteō) implies seeking with intense effort and perseverance. This is the kind of pursuit that sustains zeal.

Zeal (Greek: zēlos) means fervor, passion, or intense devotion. Revelation 3:19 reveals Jesus' rebuke to lukewarm believers: “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be jealous therefore, and repent.” God demands we burn with holy passion—not indifference. He saved us for good works: “...a people for His own possession, zealous for good works” (Titus 2:14).

Galatians 4:18 affirms, “It is good to be zealously affected always in a good thing...” This shows that zeal must be directed toward righteousness, not personal ambition. Hebrews 12:15 warns believers not to fall short of God’s grace or allow bitterness to take root—this defiles worship and quenches zeal.

To sustain zeal for worship, we must feed our faith with Scripture (Romans 10:17), stay in fellowship (Hebrews 10:25), pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17), and be filled with the Spirit (Ephesians 5:18-19). Zeal is not emotional hype—it is spiritual fire that is maintained through disciplined devotion and obedience to God’s Word.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and zeal to spread the gospel.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to be zealous.

I WILL HEAL YOUR BACKSLIDING, SAYS THE LORD

What was meant to humiliate you will become a ladder for your promotion because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: I WILL HEAL YOUR BACKSLIDING, SAYS THE LORD

Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Backsliding, from the Hebrew word “meshubah” (מְשׁוּבָה), means apostasy, turning away, or falling back into sin and rebellion against God. It is a spiritual relapse—when a person once walking in righteousness turns away to pursue their own desires.

In Jeremiah 2:19, the Lord declares, “Your own wickedness will correct you, and your backslidings will rebuke you.” Backsliding is not a light matter—it is wickedness. It is using God’s blessings—our gifts, finances, and influence—to serve Satan’s purposes and undermine the work of Christ’s Church.

This rebellion has deep societal effects. Jeremiah 3:6 reveals how backsliding led to spiritual adultery and national prostitution, showing its role in marital unfaithfulness and moral collapse. In Jeremiah 5:6, the backsliding nation becomes vulnerable like prey in the wilderness—spiritually and socially insecure.

Yet, God’s mercy is greater. He calls out in Jeremiah 3:22, “Return, you backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings.” The path to healing begins with returning to God in sincere prayer—confessing, not justifying our sins (Jeremiah 3:11), and asking for the restoration of our first love, passion, and zeal for worship.

There is never a just cause for sin. Sin always kills—spiritually, emotionally, and even physically. But God’s promise stands firm in Hosea 14:4: “I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely.” Return to the Lord, and He will heal, restore, and renew you.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and zeal for divine service.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation.

YOUR BODY IS GOD’S TEMPLE: TREAT IT AS SUCH

You shall not be a victim of a fraudulent scheme because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: YOUR BODY IS GOD’S TEMPLE: TREAT IT AS SUCH

Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

The Bible clearly teaches that the true temple of God is not a building, but the believer’s body. “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” (1 Corinthians 3:16). Again, 1 Corinthians 6:19 reminds us, “Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own.” This sacred truth is repeated in 2 Corinthians 6:16: “For you are the temple of the living God.”

Yet in many parts of the world—especially in Africa—modern preachers exploit the ignorance of their congregations by investing billions into elaborate cathedrals. They wrongly label these buildings as “God’s temple,” contrary to Scripture. Acts 17:24 says, “God, who made the world and everything in it...does not dwell in temples made with hands.”

In nations like Nigeria, this distortion has contributed to deepening poverty. Capital that could support businesses and economic empowerment is funneled into extravagant buildings with huge maintenance costs, yielding no economic or spiritual return. These preachers live luxuriously while their congregations suffer, with some of the lowest GDP per capita globally.

God does not dwell in buildings, mountains, or a geographic location. He dwells in you. This understanding should lead to reverence for your body, integrity in worship, and stewardship of resources. Let us honor God by treating our bodies as His temple and resisting religious deception.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and true worship in the Spirit.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome evil manipulations.

BE BLAMELESS: A CALL TO HOLINESS AND LEADERSHIP

Your family shall be far from disaster because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional; BE BLAMELESS: A CALL TO HOLINESS AND LEADERSHIP

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

The Bible commands believers to live blameless lives in anticipation of Christ’s return. In 2 Peter 3:14 (AMP), it says: “So, beloved, since you are looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him at His return spotless and blameless, in peace.” Blamelessness is not sinless perfection but a lifestyle of integrity, holiness, and obedience. It reflects a heart that is sincere before God and man.

Blamelessness is also a requirement for church leadership. Titus 1:6 states: “If any man is blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of dissipation or insubordination.” This standard ensures leaders are examples in conduct, not just in speech. Without blamelessness, leadership becomes hypocrisy.

Furthermore, Philippians 2:15 urges believers to “be blameless and innocent, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world.” A blameless life is a witness to the world of the transformative power of Christ.

Other scriptures affirm this high calling. Job 1:1 describes Job as “blameless and upright.” 1 Thessalonians 5:23 prays that “your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Blamelessness is not optional for the Christian; it is a divine expectation. Through grace and the Spirit’s help, we are empowered to live holy, reflecting Christ until He returns. Let us strive to be found blameless in His sight.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and to be found blameless .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to be blameless.

SIN RESULTS IN POLITICAL, EMOTIONAL AND FINANCIAL BONDAGE

Extraordinary promotion shall locate you because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.
Good -Life Devotional:
SIN RESULTS IN POLITICAL,  EMOTIONAL AND FINANCIAL BONDAGE

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi
Sin gives the enemy license to harm God's people 1 John 5:18 'We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not."
Here are key scriptures showing that Israel went into captivity because of their sins and transgressions. These passages emphasize God's justice in punishing rebellion, idolatry, and disobedience to His covenant.
Old Testament Scriptures
1. Leviticus 26:14, 33 (AMP) — Warning of Captivity
“But if you do not obey Me and do not [obediently] do all these commandments… I will scatter you among the nations and will draw out the sword after you as an enemy, and your land will be desolate and your cities shall be a waste.”
2. Deuteronomy 28:15, 36, 41, 64 (AMP) — Curses for Disobedience
“But it shall come about, if you do not obey the Lord your God… The Lord will bring you and your king… to a nation that neither you nor your fathers have known...”
“You will father sons and daughters but they will not be yours, for they will go into captivity.” Children suffer the effect of their parents sins .
“The Lord will scatter you among all peoples, from one end of the earth to the other…”
3. 2 Kings 17:7-8, 18 (AMP) — Assyrian Captivity of Israel
“Now this came about because the sons of Israel had sinned against the Lord their God… they followed the customs of the nations…”
“So the Lord was very angry with Israel and removed them from His sight; none was left except the tribe of Judah.”
4. 2 Kings 24:3-4 — Judah’s Exile Begins
“Surely at the command of the Lord this came upon Judah, to remove them… because of the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he had done…”
5. 2 Chronicles 36:14-17 — Final Fall of Judah
“All the leaders of the priests and the people became more and more unfaithful… until the wrath of the Lord rose against His people, until there was no remedy.”
6. Jeremiah 25:8-11 — Babylonian Captivity Prophesied
“Because you have not listened to My words… this whole land will be a desolation… and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.”
7. Jeremiah 29:14 — Restoration After Captivity
“I will bring you back from captivity… declares the Lord.”
8. Ezekiel 39:23-24 — Reason for Their Captivity
“The nations will know that the house of Israel went into exile for their iniquity… I hid My face from them and gave them into the hand of their adversaries…”
These scriptures show that captivity was not random but a direct result of violating God's covenant. However, God also promised restoration when they would repent and return to Him (see Deuteronomy 30:1–5, Jeremiah 29:11-14).
In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and a national repentance from sin .
PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive us of our sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation.

NO CHRISTIAN IS A SINNER AND NO SINNER IS A CHRISTIAN (part 2)

You shall overcome the temptation meant to destroy you because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.
Good -Life Devotional:
NO CHRISTIAN IS A SINNER AND NO SINNER IS A CHRISTIAN (part 2)
You Cannot Be a Christian and a Sinner at the Same Time
By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi
The Word of God is clear: “Whosoever is born of God does not commit sin; for His seed remains in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God” (1 John 3:9). This does not refer to isolated acts of sin, but a continuous habit of sinning. Likewise, 1 John 5:18 says, “We know that whosoever is born of God sins not; but he that is begotten of God keeps himself, and that wicked one touches him not.”
True Christians have the nature of Christ, not of sin. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 lists those who will not inherit the kingdom of God: “Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners.” These terms refer to willful, unrepentant sinners.
Contrary to modern teachings that twist grace as a license to sin, Titus 2:11-12 says, “The grace of God...teaches us to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts...to live soberly, righteously, and godly.” GRACE IS POWER TO LIVE HOLY—not permission to sin. Revelation 21:8 warns that the fearful, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, whoremongers, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake of fire.
Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8). To claim Christ and live in sin is self-deception. A man cannot serve two masters (Matthew 6:24). You are either a child of God or a servant of sin—not both (Romans 6:16).
In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and power to overcome sin by casting out the thoughts of the particular sin seducing us.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation.

NO CHRISTIAN IS A SINNER, AND NO SINNER IS A CHRISTIAN (Part 1)

You shall not fall into the enemy's trap because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional; NO CHRISTIAN IS A SINNER, AND NO SINNER IS A CHRISTIAN (Part 1)

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

True Christianity demands total repentance. In Acts 2:38, Peter declared, “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” Likewise, Acts 3:19 commands, “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out.” These verses show that repentance is the foundation of Christian conversion.

Repentance means a complete change of mind, heart, and direction. The Greek word 'metanoia' implies turning away from sin and turning fully to God. A Christian, therefore, is not someone who merely believes but one who has been born again and has forsaken sin.

The idea that a Christian can habitually live in sin and plan to repent later, especially before a priest, is both unbiblical and dangerous. What if death comes while they are in the act of sin? There is no second chance after death (Hebrews 9:27).

The grace of God does not permit sin; rather, it empowers righteousness. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 warns clearly: “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God?... neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers… shall inherit the kingdom of God.” The Greek words here—like pornoi (fornicators), eidōlolatrai (idolaters), and moichoi (adulterers)—refer to those practicing sin.

No one can claim the name Christian while living as a sinner. True Christians live righteously by the power of God's grace, having turned from sin completely.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and wisdom for righteous living.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to live righteously.

IN CHRIST, WE HAVE BOLDNESS AND ACCESS TO THE FATHER

You shall not be put to shame because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: IN CHRIST, WE HAVE BOLDNESS AND ACCESS TO THE FATHER

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

One of the greatest privileges of the believer is the unrestricted access to God through Jesus Christ. Ephesians 3:12 declares, "In whom we have boldness and confident access through faith in Him" (AMP). This access is not reserved for a select few but granted to all who are in Christ—born again and washed by His blood.

Through the finished work of Christ, the veil that once separated man from God has been torn (Matthew 27:51). Hebrews 10:19 affirms this truth: “Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus.” We no longer need a priest or a sacrifice of animals; we enter God’s very presence—His holy throne room—with boldness.

Our boldness is rooted in identity. According to 1 John 4:17, “As He is, so are we in this world.” Just as a woman takes on her husband’s name and status by marriage, so the believer shares Christ’s standing before the Father. This assures us boldness, not only now in prayer, but even on the day of judgment.

Hebrews 4:16 urges us: “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” We are not strangers, but sons (Galatians 4:6), and as sons we enjoy free, confident access to our Father.

Let every believer cast aside fear, condemnation, and unworthiness. In Christ, our access is permanent, powerful, and full of grace.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and boldness to preach the gospel.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome the fear of failure.

THERE IS ONLY ONE MEDIATOR BETWEEN GOD AND MAN, AND IT ISN'T MARY

The curse of stagnation and confusion is broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

THERE IS ONLY ONE MEDIATOR BETWEEN GOD AND MAN, AND IT ISN'T MARY

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

The Bible clearly states in 1 Timothy 2:5 (AMP): "For there is [only] one God, and [only] one Mediator between God and mankind, the Man Christ Jesus." The Greek word for mediator is "mesitēs" (μεσίτης), meaning one who intervenes between two to restore peace—a go-between. Jesus alone qualifies as this mediator due to His sinless nature and atoning sacrifice.

Mary, though highly favored (Luke 1:28), does not qualify as a mediator for the following reasons:

   1) MARY WAS A SINNER IN NEED OF SALVATION. She acknowledged this in Luke 1:47, "My spirit rejoices in God my Savior." Only sinners need a Savior.

  2) SHE WAS NOT OMNISCIENT OR OMNIPRESENT. Only Christ has the divine capacity to hear all prayers (Hebrews 4:15-16).

3) JESUS NEVER DIRECTED ANYONE TO PRAY THROUGH MARY. Instead, He taught us to pray to the Father in His name (John 14:13-14).

4) THE EARLY CHURCH NEVER TAUGHT MARY AS A MEDIATOR. Apostolic teaching focused solely on Christ as the way to the Father (John 14:6; Acts 4:12).

5) MARY NEEDED TO BE BORN AGAIN. In Acts 1:14, she was among the disciples waiting for the Holy Spirit. She was part of the 120 in Acts 2:1-4 who received the Spirit—evidence she had to be regenerated like everyone else (John 3:3).

Salvation is in Christ alone. Elevating Mary as mediator is unbiblical an abomination before God (Luke16;15)  and detracts from the sufficiency of Jesus' finished work.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and the revelation of Jesus Christ .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome stagnation.

FALSE PROPHETS CAUSE GOD'S PEOPLE TO ERR

Your family shall be protected against evil manipulations because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good-Life Devotional: FALSE PROPHETS CAUSE GOD'S PEOPLE TO ERR

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

False prophets are a danger to any nation and generation. Their deceitful influence leads people away from God’s will and results in widespread corruption and destruction. God declared through the prophet Jeremiah, “I have heard what the prophets say who prophesy lies in my name… they cause my people to err” (Jeremiah 23:23). These false prophets bring confusion, promoting sin under the disguise of spirituality.

Isaiah lamented that even the prophets and priests “have erred through strong drink… they are swallowed up of wine” (Isaiah 28:7). Such spiritual leaders intoxicated with literal alcohol and pride have raised a generation addicted to wine and pleasure rather than the Word of God. “Woe unto them that rise up early… that they may follow strong drink” (Isaiah 5:11). This lifestyle fosters a culture of addiction, weak moral discipline, and confusion.

Leaders have become champions of wine (Isaiah 5:22), unable to discern justice. This has led to national mismanagement and bad governance. As Jeremiah declared, “I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria… they cause my people Israel to err” (Jeremiah 23:13). Instead of teaching righteousness, they promote bribery and shortcut paths to success (Micah 3:11).

But God has a remnant. He said in Isaiah 35:8, “a highway shall be there… the way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it.” True prophets must uphold this standard. God promises, “I will deliver my people out of your hand” (Ezekiel 13:21), freeing them from deception. Every believer must return to the Word and test every spirit (1 John 4:1).

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and the discernment.

PRAYER; Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome false preachers.

PROPHET MUHAMMAD WAS NOT SURE OF HIS SALVATION , ARE YOU?

You shall not labour in vain because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good --Life Devotional: PROPHET MUHAMMAD WAS NOT SURE OF HIS SALVATION , ARE YOU?

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Romans 8:1

"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.'

One of the key differences between Islam and Christianity lies in the assurance of salvation. While Christianity teaches that believers can know they have eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ, Islamic sources show that Prophet Muhammad himself was uncertain of his final destiny.

In Qur’an Surah Al-Ahqaf 46:9, Muhammad is commanded to say, “I am not something original among the messengers, nor do I know what will be done with me or with you...” This admission reveals his personal uncertainty about salvation. Further, in Sahih al-Bukhari 23:334, Muhammad reportedly said, “By Allah, though I am the Apostle of Allah, yet I do not know what Allah will do to me.” This statement, found in one of Islam’s most trusted hadith collections, confirms that even the prophet of Islam had no assurance of his eternal state.

In contrast, the Bible offers full assurance to believers. 1 John 5:13 (AMP) states: “I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God... so that you will know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that you have eternal life.” Salvation in Christianity is not earned through works but received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8–9).

This contrast underscores a powerful truth: in Christ, believers can have peace and confidence in their eternal destiny. A prophet who cannot guarantee his own salvation cannot guarantee it for others. Only Jesus, the sinless Son of God, offers that assurance.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and boldness to preach the gospel.

PROMOTION OF DENOMINATION ABOVE PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST IS SATANIC

The broken pieces of your family are being restored in glory because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: PROMOTION OF DENOMINATION ABOVE PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST IS SATANIC

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

The promotion of denomination above a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is not only unbiblical—it is satanic. Paul rebuked this mindset in 1 Corinthians 3:3–7, where he exposed the carnality of believers who boasted, “I am of Paul,” and “I am of Apollos.” Such partisanship reveals immaturity and fleshliness. Paul made it clear that only God gives the increase, and ministers are merely servants through whom God works.

Likewise, Romans 8:8 declares that “those who are in the flesh cannot please God.” A person consumed with promoting their denomination over Christ is walking in the flesh, not in the Spirit. Satan uses this fleshly mindset to sow division, pride, strife, and even corruption—both within the Church and in society.

In contrast, the early Church prioritized fellowship with Christ and unity in the Spirit. In Acts 2:42–47 and Acts 4:32–35, believers “had all things in common,” continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine, and were of “one heart and soul.” No denomination is mentioned—only devotion to Jesus and love for one another.

Jesus never started a denomination. He said, “Follow Me” (Luke 9:23) and declared, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life” (John 14:6). Religion and denominational identity hold no value without a living relationship with Christ (Philippians 3:7–8). We must beware of idolizing structures over the Savior. True Christianity is not religion—it is a relationship with the risen Lord. Anything less is deception.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and boldness to preach the truth.
