Good -Life Devotional; BE BLAMELESS: A CALL TO HOLINESS AND LEADERSHIP

   The Bible commands believers to live blameless lives in anticipation of Christ’s return. In 2 Peter 3:14 (AMP), it says: “So, beloved, since you are looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him at His return spotless and blameless, in peace.” Blamelessness is not sinless perfection but a lifestyle of integrity, holiness, and obedience. It reflects a heart that is sincere before God and man.

    Blamelessness is also a requirement for church leadership. Titus 1:6 states: “If any man is blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of dissipation or insubordination.” This standard ensures leaders are examples in conduct, not just in speech. Without blamelessness, leadership becomes hypocrisy.

Furthermore, Philippians 2:15 urges believers to “be blameless and innocent, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world.” A blameless life is a witness to the world of the transformative power of Christ.

Other scriptures affirm this high calling. Job 1:1 describes Job as “blameless and upright.” 1 Thessalonians 5:23 prays that “your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Blamelessness is not optional for the Christian; it is a divine expectation. Through grace and the Spirit’s help, we are empowered to live holy, reflecting Christ until He returns. Let us strive to be found blameless in His sight.

 In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and to be found blameless .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to be blameless.
