THE IMPORTANCE OF PREACHERS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS IN NATION BUILDING

   Throughout Scripture, the destiny of nations often turned on the presence or absence of righteous preachers. Jonah’s message to Nineveh brought an entire city from the brink of destruction to repentance and deliverance (Jonah 3:5–10). Likewise, Noah, described in 2 Peter 2:5 as a “preacher of righteousness,” preserved humanity through obedience to God’s word when the world was corrupt and violent. When nations fall into moral decay, God’s remedy is not political reform but spiritual revival through messengers of righteousness.
     Jesus declared in Matthew 9:37–38 that “the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” In times of distress, Christians must intercede for God to raise men and women like Daniel—preachers of righteousness within the corridors of government—who will speak truth without compromise and turn the hearts of leaders toward justice and integrity.
   Africa’s struggle with poverty is not merely economic but spiritual. Many pulpits have replaced holiness with greed, labeling covetousness as prosperity. Yet 1 Timothy 6:5–6 reminds us that “godliness with contentment is great gain.” Societies reflect the doctrines preached from their altars; where righteousness is proclaimed, morality, productivity, and peace follow.
   According to Isaiah 32:17, “the work of righteousness shall be peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever.” Therefore, preachers of righteousness are the true nation builders, shaping destinies, restoring order, and establishing the foundation for lasting peace and godly prosperity
  In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and for more preachers of righteousness in our nation .
PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation.
