HOW TO CANCEL THE FEAR OF FALSE PROPHESIES

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

1 Kings 13:18,26

" He said unto him, I am a prophet also as thou art; and an angel spake unto me by the word of the LORD, saying, Bring him back with thee into thine house, that he may eat bread and drink water. But he lied unto him.

.... And when the prophet that brought him back from the way heard thereof, he said, It is the man of God, who was disobedient unto the word of the LORD: therefore the LORD hath delivered him unto the lion, which hath torn him, and slain him, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake unto him."

1 kings 13:11-26 demonstrates the destructive effect of a false prophesy . It requires disobeying God's word  exposing a person to the destroyer ( Satan ) symbolised by the lion ( 1 Peter 5:8) Many persons have lost properties and lives to the activities of false prophets .

To cancel the fear of false prophecies using Bible verses, it's essential to ground oneself in the truth and wisdom found in scripture. One key verse to remember is 2 Timothy 1:7, which states, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." This verse reminds believers that fear does not come from God, and He equips us with strength, love, and a sound mind to discern truth from falsehood.

Another helpful verse is 1 Thessalonians 5:20-21, which advises, "Do not treat prophecies with contempt but test them all; hold on to what is good." This encourages believers to test prophecies against the teachings of the Bible and discern their validity before accepting them.

Furthermore, Matthew 7:15 warns against false prophets, stating, "Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves." This verse emphasizes the importance of discernment and caution when encountering prophecies, reminding believers to rely on God's word as the ultimate source of truth.

By anchoring oneself in these and other relevant Bible verses, believers can find reassurance and guidance to overcome the fear of false prophecies and discern God's truth with confidence.

Through Jesus Christ we can cancel the fear of False prophesies, the bible says he blotted out the handwriting of ordinaces that were against us , this includes false prophesies ( Colossian 2: 14-18, ) also Romans 8:33

says "Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth."

Prayer Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome curses
