Good -Life Devotional:

MAINTAIN A POSITIVE ATTITUDE WHEN UNDER PRESSURE.WHAT YOU SAY.

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

1 Kings 19:7,16

"  And the angel of the LORD came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee.

And Jehu the son of Nimshi shalt thou anoint to be king over Israel: and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abelmeholah shalt thou anoint to be prophet in thy room.'

Elijah thought he could serve God by his own strength but was soon overwhelmed. The angel of the lord had told him that the journey was too great for him. Under such a circumstance he was expected to depend on the lord more for strength. Unfortunately, he lost his place to Elisha . Many people have lost great opportunities this way. God had a plan already in place but Elijah was too frustrated to realise it and began speaking negative words against God's word thus necessitating his Words can either promote  or demote person Habitual complaining results in demotion  . God detests it (Phil 4:14, 1Cor 10;10, Jude 1:16 )

Positive confessions during times of pressure are vital for maintaining faith and resilience. The Bible provides numerous examples of the power of words and the importance of speaking positively, especially in challenging circumstances. Proverbs 18:21 highlights this, stating, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit." This verse underscores how our words can shape our reality, making it essential to speak life and hope into our situations.

When under pressure, maintaining a positive confession helps align our thoughts with God's promises. Romans 10:17 reminds us that "faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." By confessing positive, faith-filled words, we reinforce our belief in God's ability to deliver and sustain us, even in the most trying times.

Moreover, Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me," serves as a powerful affirmation of God's provision and strength. Repeating such verses during stress can bolster our confidence and help us persevere. Positive confessions are not just about staying optimistic; they are about standing firm in faith, trusting that God is in control, and speaking His promises over our lives. This practice can transform our perspective and empower us to overcome any pressure with grace and strength.

Prayer : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to accomplish my assignments.
