IT SHALL BE WELL WITH THE RIGHTEOUS

You shall succeed where others have failed because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

IT SHALL BE WELL WITH THE RIGHTEOUS

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Isaiah 3:10 "Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings."

In the tumultuous journey of life, the concept of righteousness is often revered, yet elusive. However, the story of Joseph, son of Jacob, offers a timeless narrative that assures believers of the ultimate triumph of righteousness.

Joseph’s life was a testament to unwavering faith and righteousness. Despite facing betrayal by his brothers, false accusations, and unjust imprisonment, Joseph remained steadfast in his integrity and devotion to God. His unwavering trust in divine providence, exemplified in Genesis 50:20, "You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives," serves as a beacon of hope for believers facing adversity.

The Bible assures the righteous that although they may encounter trials and tribulations, ultimately, all things work together for their good (Romans 8:28). For those who walk in righteousness, there is a promise of divine protection and provision. Psalms 34:19 declares, "The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all."

Joseph's life ( Read Genesis Chapter 37 to chapter 48) teaches us that righteousness is not exempt from hardships, but it is accompanied by the assurance of God’s faithfulness and provision. As believers emulate Joseph’s unwavering faith and righteousness, they can find solace in the promise that it shall indeed be well with the righteous. The bible teaches us the process for the attainment of all-round wellness.

2 Chronicles 7:14. " If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

The woman in 2 kings 4  pursued after righteousness in Elijah , humbled herself and prayed and her son was restored . She did not just say it is well as commonly said by many Christians. The phrase  'it is ' in the statement :it is well ' is not in the original Hebrew text . What you have is 'Well ' (Hebrew : shalom shalom  which means peace ) a prophetic statement based on covenant.

Prayer : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and overwhelming peace . Amen
