SAVED BY RIGHTEOUSNESS

You shall not fall into the enemy's trap because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

SAVED BY RIGHTEOUSNESS

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Righteousness is our spiritual armor, a shield against the enemy's schemes. Isaiah 54:17 declares, “No weapon that is formed against you will succeed; And every tongue that rises against you in judgment you will condemn. This peace, righteousness, security, and triumph over opposition is the heritage of the servants of the Lord...” God promises His people protection, but sin compromises this divine defense.

Ezekiel 14:14-20 reminds us that even the righteousness of faithful men like Noah, Daniel, and Job could only save themselves, not others. This emphasizes personal accountability. When Satan attacks, he first lures believers into sin, weakening their spiritual defenses. As 1 John 5:18 states, “The one who was born of God keeps him safe, and the evil one does not touch him.” Holiness fortifies us against harm.

The Bible shows the dangers of unrepented sin. The man in 1 Corinthians 5:5, involved in immorality, was handed over to Satan “for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved.” Sin exposed him to judgment, but repentance offered restoration. Similarly, Ananias and Sapphira were struck down for lying to the Holy Spirit (Acts 5), illustrating how sin can lead to destruction.

To remain protected, believers must embrace righteousness, confess sin, and live in obedience. Ephesians 6:14 urges us to put on the breastplate of righteousness. When we walk in holiness, Satan’s schemes cannot prevail, and God’s promises of peace and security endure.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and protection from sin .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation.

THE RIGHTEOUS SHALL PROSPER UNDER ADVERSITY

The more the opposition against you , the higher shall be your promotion because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good - Life Devotional:

THE RIGHTEOUS SHALL PROSPER UNDER ADVERSITY

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

God’s promises to the righteous shine brightest in times of adversity. Genesis 26 highlights Isaac's obedience during a famine. Despite challenging circumstances, Isaac obeyed God’s command to stay in Gerar rather than fleeing to Egypt. He sowed in the land and reaped a hundredfold in the same year, for “the Lord blessed him” (Genesis 26:12). This teaches that God’s blessings are not bound by human limitations or economic conditions.

Psalm 4:1 reminds believers of God’s faithfulness in distress: “Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress; be gracious to me and hear my prayer.” When Christians rely on God, He anchors them, granting peace and provision even amidst challenges.

Scripture encourages Christians, especially leaders, to engage in gainful employment or entrepreneurial ventures to ensure the church lacks nothing. Proverbs 10:4 teaches, “The diligent hand brings wealth,” while 2 Thessalonians 3:10 exhorts, “If anyone is not willing to work, neither should he eat.” Through honest labor and business, believers earn respect from outsiders, as seen in 1 Corinthians 4:11-13, where Paul highlights his work ethic.

God’s promise in Philippians 4:19 is unwavering: “And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” In every season, God prospers the righteous who trust in Him, apply wisdom, and remain steadfast. Even in adversity, believers are called to thrive and be testimonies of God’s faithfulness.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and wisdom for creativity, integrity and diligence in our duties .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to prosper in adversity.

GOD DELIGHTS IN THE PROSPERITY OF THE RIGHTEOUS

The curse of poverty and stagnation is broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: GOD DELIGHTS IN THE PROSPERITY OF THE RIGHTEOUS

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Psalm 35:27 declares, “Let them shout for joy and rejoice, who favor my vindication and want what is right for me; Let them say continually, ‘The Lord be magnified, who delights in the prosperity of His servant.’”

This verse reveals God’s heart toward those committed to righteousness. God is pleased to bless His servants, not for selfish gain, but to empower them to further His kingdom.

Zechariah 1:17 affirms this truth, saying, “Proclaim further, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, “My cities shall again overflow with prosperity, and the Lord will again comfort Zion and again choose Jerusalem.”’” This prosperity is not merely material; it represents an outpouring of God's favor, enabling His people to spread the gospel effectively. The teaching of righteousness brings life and transformation to the world, and we should fervently pray for the success of those committed to this work.

Proverbs 11:30 adds, “The fruit of the [consistently] righteous is a tree of life, and he who is wise captures and wins souls [for God—he gathers them for eternity].” Those who promote God’s righteousness bear eternal fruit, and their work advances His purposes.

We should, therefore, intercede for teachers, preachers, and missionaries who proclaim God’s truth. Philippians 4:19 reminds us that God supplies all our needs according to His riches in glory. As we align ourselves with His mission, He provides abundantly, ensuring that His work prospers through us.

Let us rejoice in God’s provision and continually pray for the prosperity of those advancing His righteousness. Their success is a testimony of His goodness and a channel for His glory.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and for the prosperity of those committed to spreading the message of righteousness .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome poverty.

BE DEEPLY ROOTED AND WELL-GROUNDED IN CHRIST

The yoke of barrenness and unfruitfulness is broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: BE DEEPLY ROOTED AND WELL-GROUNDED IN CHRIST

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

To live a victorious and purposeful Christian life, believers must be deeply rooted and well-grounded in Christ. This principle is beautifully highlighted in Ephesians 3:17, which says, "so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through your faith. And may you, having been [deeply] rooted and [securely] grounded in love..." (AMP). Being rooted in Christ means establishing a firm foundation of faith that remains unshaken, no matter the storms of life.

Colossians 2:7 further elaborates, "having been deeply rooted [in Him] and now being continually built up in Him and [becoming increasingly more] established in your faith, just as you were taught, and overflowing in it with gratitude." As trees draw strength and nourishment from their roots, Christians must draw spiritual strength from Christ through prayer, studying the Word, and consistent fellowship with Him.

Psalm 1:3 compares the righteous to a tree planted by streams of water, yielding fruit in its season and prospering in all it does. To be established, we must anchor ourselves in God’s truth and His love, allowing Him to guide every aspect of our lives.

When we are rooted in Christ, our lives reflect stability, fruitfulness, and resilience. We can face trials, knowing that our foundation is secure in Him. As Jesus said in John 15:5, "I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in Me and I in him bears much fruit; for apart from Me you can do nothing."

Let us daily seek to deepen our roots in Christ and be unwavering in faith, reflecting His love and glory to the world.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to be fruitful.

HOW TO GUARD Y

You shall not be a victim of evil manipulations because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: HOW TO GUARD YOUR HEART AGAINST EVIL INFLUENCE

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

   Romans 12:2

" And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

Your heart is the vehicle that translates the blessings of the lord from the spiritual into the physical . The emotional and  physical state of your life is a reflection of the state of your heart. It is easier to see the power of God at work in our lives when our hearts are pure .  The devil attacks us by planting evil thoughts in our hearts by our permission. Once a thought is planted, the outcome is inevitable whether  good or evil.

Here are some ways to guard your heart against negative influences, with supporting Bible verses from the Amplified Bible (AMP):

1. FILL YOUR HEART WITH GOD’S WORD

Meditate on Scripture to strengthen your mind and spirit against negativity.

“Your word I have treasured and stored in my heart, that I may not sin against You.” (Psalm 119:11 AMP)

2. PRAY WITHOUT CEASING

Stay connected to God through prayer for guidance and protection.

“Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your specific requests known to God.” (Philippians 4:6 AMP)

3. GUARD YOUR THOUGHTS

FOCUS ON POSITIVE AND GODLY THOUGHTS TO COUNTER NEGATIVITY.

“Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word...think continually on these things.” (Philippians 4:8 AMP)

4. CHOOSE YOUR ASSOCIATIONS WISELY

Surround yourself with uplifting and Christ-centered relationships.

“Do not be deceived: ‘Bad company corrupts good morals.’” (1 Corinthians 15:33 AMP)

5. AVOID TEMPTING SITUATIONS

Stay away from environments that encourage ungodly behavior. Block friends that send porn to you, delete the videos and unsubscribe from porn sites if you are struggling with the negative influence of porn.

“Turn my eyes away from vanity [all those worldly, meaningless things that distract—let Your priorities be mine], and restore me with renewed energy in Your ways.” (Psalm 119:37 AMP)

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and protection from bad influence.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome poverty and stagnation.

REASONS WHY THE DEVIL WANTS TO DISCREDIT THE BIBLE ( PART 2)

Those looking forward to your failure shall be disappointed because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional; REASONS WHY THE DEVIL WANTS TO DISCREDIT THE BIBLE ( PART 2)

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

    Luke 8:11

"Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. "

Luke 4:4

" And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. "

The word of God cannot be separated from God . It is the power for salvation and the source of our faith in God . God is revealed through his word   Satan knows this and seeks to take people captive through the ignorance of the word of God revealed in the bible. Here are some more reasons why the devil discredits the bible .

6. TO PROMOTE FALSE TEACHINGS

Discrediting the Bible opens the door for Satan to spread lies and deception.

"For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect." (Matthew 24:24)

7. TO ATTACK JESUS CHRIST’S AUTHORITY

Satan seeks to discredit the Bible to deny Jesus’ divinity and authority.

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." (John 1:1)

8. TO HINDER SPIRITUAL GROWTH

Without the Bible, believers lack the nourishment needed for growth and maturity.

"Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation." (1 Peter 2:2)

9. TO DESTROY HOPE

The Bible provides hope in the promises of God. Satan discredits it to foster despair.

"For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope." (Romans 15:4)

10. TO PREPARE FOR HIS FINAL REBELLION

Satan seeks to discredit the Bible to pave the way for his ultimate rebellion against God.

"They will make war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over them because He is Lord of lords and King of kings—and with Him will be His called, chosen, and faithful followers." (Revelation 17:14)

By discrediting the Bible, Satan aims to disrupt God’s plan for humanity. However, believers are called to stand firm in faith, trusting the Word of God as the ultimate source of truth

In our daily prayers seek for a healthy appetite for God's word and sensitivity to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

PRAYER: Heavenly, Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to live righteously.

REASONS WHY THE DEVIL WANTS TO DISCREDIT THE BIBLE (PART 1)

Do not be afraid , the anointing of God's favour will not allow you to be put to shame .

Good -Life Devotional: REASONS WHY THE DEVIL WANTS TO DISCREDIT THE BIBLE (PART 1)

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

2 Timothy 3:16

" All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:"

Satan seeks to discredit the Bible because it is the Word of God, which reveals truth, salvation, and hope. Below are ten reasons why Satan tries to undermine Scripture, supported by Bible verses:

1. TO PREVENT PEOPLE FROM KNOWING GOD

Satan wants to keep people from understanding the truth about God and His character.

"But if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God." (2 Corinthians 4:3-4)

2. TO UNDERMINE FAITH IN GOD'S WORD

By discrediting the Bible, Satan attempts to erode trust in God's promises.

"Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, 'Did God really say...?'" (Genesis 3:1)

3. TO CONFUSE PEOPLE ABOUT THE TRUTH

Satan thrives in confusion and wants people to doubt the Bible’s reliability.

"For God is not a God of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints." (1 Corinthians 14:33)

4. TO LEAD PEOPLE INTO SIN

By discrediting Scripture, Satan can persuade people to reject God's moral standards.

"Your word I have treasured and stored in my heart, that I may not sin against You." (Psalm 119:11, AMP)

5. TO PREVENT SALVATION

Satan works to keep people from understanding the Bible’s message of salvation through Christ.

"So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ." (Romans 10:17)

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and confidence to defend the gospel.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to preach the gospel.

ALL SCRIPTURE IS GOD-BREATHED ( Part 1)

The crooked paths shall be made straight because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: ALL SCRIPTURE IS GOD-BREATHED  ( Part 1)

 2 Timothy 3:16-17

"All Scripture is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration] and is profitable for instruction, for conviction [of sin], for correction [of error and restoration to obedience], for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God’s will, both publicly and privately—behaving honorably with personal integrity and moral courage]; so that the man of God may be complete and proficient, outfitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work." (AMP)

Key Apologetic Themes:

1. THE DIVINE INSPIRATION OF SCRIPTURE

"God-breathed" establishes the Bible’s unique authority, asserting that it originates from God Himself.

Apologetically, this verse affirms the supernatural nature of Scripture, countering claims that it is merely a human product. Christians can argue for the Bible's unity and consistency, despite being written over 1,500 years by various authors, as evidence of divine authorship.

2. THE BIBLE'S RELEVANCE AND USEFULNESS

The text outlines four key purposes of Scripture:

1. INSTRUCTION: Teaching truth and revealing God's character.

2. CONVICTION: Exposing sin and moral failure.

3. CORRECTION: Guiding believers back to God's path.

4. TRAINING: Equipping believers to live righteously.

These functions highlight the Bible's enduring relevance, addressing both personal growth and societal ethics.

3. EQUIPPING FOR EVERY GOOD WORK

This verse positions Scripture as sufficient for preparing believers for all aspects of life and ministry.

It refutes the idea that other sources or revelations are necessary for salvation or moral guidance, emphasizing the sufficiency and completeness of the Bible.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and boldness to defend the gospel at all cost as the early disciples did.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome evil manipulations.

ALL SCRIPTURE IS GOD-BREATHED (PART 2)

The yoke of confusion and stagnation is broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

ALL SCRIPTURE IS GOD-BREATHED (PART 2)

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

1. John 14:6 (AMP)

Jesus said to him, "I am the [only] Way [to God] and the [real] Truth and the [real] Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me."

This verse shows that truth is absolute and found in Christ, not subject to individual interpretation.

This is proof that the gospel is alive and here is more evidence in that regard .

4. DEFENSE AGAINST RELATIVISM

In a culture that often rejects absolute truth, where bad sometimes is good and good sometimes bad , this passage ( 2Timotjy 3;16-17) serves as a foundation for asserting the Bible as the ultimate standard for morality, doctrine, and guidance.

By showing how Scripture consistently transforms lives and societies, Christians can argue for its divine origin and practical efficacy.

5. HISTORICAL AND TEXTUAL RELIABILITY

Biblical apologists can connect 2 Timothy 3:16-17 with evidence for the Bible's historical accuracy and preservation:

Archaeological discoveries confirm biblical accounts.

Manuscript evidence supports the reliability of Scripture, with the Bible having more manuscripts than any other ancient text.

These facts affirm the trustworthiness of what Paul refers to as "God-breathed."

6. SCRIPTURE AS SELF-AUTHENTICATING

Paul’s declaration serves as an internal witness to Scripture's divine nature. While critics may view this as circular reasoning, biblical apologists argue that divine revelation carries inherent authority and needs no external validation to be true.

PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS IN THE DEFENCE OF THE GOSPEL :

When engaging skeptics, point to how Scripture fulfills its stated purposes (teaching, convicting, correcting, equipping) in the lives of believers.

Highlight fulfilled prophecy and the transformational impact of the Bible across cultures and generations as evidence of divine inspiration.

Address objections about alleged contradictions or irrelevance by demonstrating the coherence and timeless wisdom of biblical teaching.

By using 2 Timothy 3:16-17, believers can confidently defend the authority, reliability, and transformative power of Scripture. Seek for opportunities to demonstrate the power of the Holy Spirit .

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and zeal to spread the gospel.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to defend the gospel.

THE WORD OF GOD: TRIED AND TRUE

The anointing of God's favour is turning your disappointments into blessings for breakthroughs .

Good -Life Devotional:

THE WORD OF GOD: TRIED AND TRUE

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

The Word of God in the Bible is not merely text on a page; it is alive, powerful, and tested through generations. The Psalmist declares, “The words and promises of the Lord are pure words, like silver refined in an earthen furnace, purified seven times” (Psalm 12:6, AMP). This purification process signifies perfection, reliability, and trustworthiness.

Throughout history, the Word of God has proven true in countless lives. From Abraham's faith in God's promise (Genesis 15:6) to the unwavering confidence of Jesus in His Father's Word (Matthew 4:4), it has withstood every test and trial. Proverbs 30:5 reminds us, “Every word of God is tested and refined [like silver]; He is a shield to those who trust and take refuge in Him” (AMP).

This Word is not just for ancient times; it invites us to experience its truth today. Psalm 34:8 issues a warm invitation: “O taste and see that the Lord [our God] is good! How blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who takes refuge in Him” (AMP). To “taste” is to experience, and the Word encourages us to draw near, trust God’s promises, and witness His faithfulness.

You are invited to test the Word of God for yourself. Open your heart, meditate on His promises, and see how He transforms your life. Will you accept this invitation to taste and see that He is good?

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and courage to put the word to test in every situation we find ourselves.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome stagnation.

THE THREE COMPONENTS OF THE GOSPEL

The anointing of God's favour shall secure you from the activities of fraudsters .

Good -Life Devotional: THE THREE COMPONENTS OF THE GOSPEL

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

 Matthew 5:6

" Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. '

The church will only be fulfilled when righteousness becomes the centrepiece of it's pursuits. We have noticed an upsurge in the dishonouring of preachers, this is as a result of their downplaying on teachings on righteousness.

The Gospel is beautifully summarized in Romans 14:17: “For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.” These three components are foundational to the believer’s life and walk with God.

RIGHTEOUSNESS

Righteousness, the first component, is a state of being made right with God through faith in Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21). Matthew 6:33 instructs us to “seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” King David exemplified this pursuit of righteousness in Psalm 35:28, where he declared, “And my tongue shall speak of Your righteousness and of Your praise all the day long.” His daily proclamation of God's righteousness was key to his spiritual and material prosperity. Moreover, Proverbs 14:34 affirms, “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.”

PEACE

God’s peace surpasses all understanding and guards our hearts and minds (Philippians 4:7). This peace is not merely the absence of conflict but the presence of harmony with God, others, and ourselves. Isaiah 26:3 promises, “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in You.”

JOY

Joy in the Holy Spirit is the evidence of God's presence (Psalm 16:11). Nehemiah 8:10 reminds us, “The joy of the Lord is your strength.”

True prosperity is incomplete without righteousness. As believers, we are called to walk in these Gospel truths, knowing God will provide for every need (Philippians 4:19).

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and prevailence of righteousness in our country.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to project your righteousness.

COME, TASTE AND SEE THAT THE LORD IS GOOD

Receive healing wherever you are hurting now by the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: COME, TASTE AND SEE THAT THE LORD IS GOOD

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Psalm 34:8 declares, “Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him.” God reveals His goodness through His Word, as His Word is inseparable from His very nature. John 1:1-2 reminds us that “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” It was through His spoken Word that the universe was created. This same power is available to us today, enabling us to shape our circumstances by speaking His Word in faith.

When facing illness, declare healing over yourself or loved ones using scriptures such as Isaiah 53:5 (“By His stripes we are healed”), 1 Peter 2:24, and Matthew 8:17. Lay hands on the sick and meditate on Mark 16:18, trusting that believers have authority to bring healing.

In financial struggles, stand on Philippians 4:19: “My God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus.” Trust Him to bless the work of your hands as promised in Psalm 1:3: “Whatever they do prospers.”

Other Powerful Scriptures include:

FOR PEACE: Isaiah 26:3 (“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You”).

FOR PROTECTION: Psalm 91:11 (“He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways”).

FOR WISDOM: James 1:5 (“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all”).

By meditating on, speaking, and applying God’s Word, we activate His promises in our lives, experience His goodness, and grow stronger in faith.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and boldness to act on his word

PRAYER : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to preach the gospel.

THE TEACHING ON RIGHTEOUSNESS PROMOTES A NATION

You shall not be disgraced because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good- Life Devotional:

THE TEACHING ON RIGHTEOUSNESS PROMOTES A NATION

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Righteousness, as defined in the Bible, is living in accordance with God’s standards of justice, truth, and moral integrity. The teaching on righteousness is not just an individual mandate; it has profound implications for nations as well. Proverbs 14:34 states, “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.” This verse emphasizes that when a nation prioritizes righteousness, it thrives, gaining honor, stability, and divine favor.

Righteousness in governance and leadership ensures justice and equity. Proverbs 29:2 declares, “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when a wicked man rules, the people groan.” Leaders guided by righteous principles create policies that promote fairness, protect the vulnerable, and uplift the moral fabric of society. Such leadership fosters peace and unity, laying the foundation for sustainable progress.

Furthermore, righteousness begins at the individual and family levels. Isaiah 32:17 reveals, “The work of righteousness will be peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever.” When individuals commit to righteous living, communities flourish. The ripple effect transforms societal norms, shaping a culture that values integrity, compassion, and truth.

Ultimately, a nation’s strength is not in its economy or military but in its moral compass. As Jesus taught, “Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well” (Matthew 6:33). Righteousness aligns a nation with God’s will, ensuring enduring prosperity and divine protection.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and for our pastors to teach more on righteousness.

WATCHMEN: GUARDIANS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS AND SALVATION

Your family shall be far from the destroyer because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: WATCHMEN: GUARDIANS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS AND SALVATION

By Michael Benson Ajayi

In Isaiah 62:1-6, God declares His unwavering commitment to ensuring righteousness and salvation prevail in His people’s lives. The passage proclaims, "I have posted watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night." Here, the Hebrew word for "watchmen" is shomrim (שֹׁמְרִים), meaning "guards" or "keepers." These individuals are divinely appointed to remain vigilant, intercede persistently, and proclaim God's promises over the land.

Watchmen serve as spiritual guardians, standing in the gap for others through prayer and declaring God's Word until His will is fulfilled. Their role reflects the unceasing intercession modeled by Jesus, our eternal High Priest (Hebrews 7:25). They are called to persist "day and night," symbolizing unrelenting commitment and dedication to God's purposes.

Isaiah 62:1 emphasizes that God's zeal for Zion's righteousness and salvation will not diminish: "For Zion's sake I will not keep silent, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not remain quiet, till her righteousness shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch." Similarly, Ezekiel 33:6 warns that if a watchman fails to sound the alarm when danger approaches, he is held accountable.

God has called believers to be modern-day watchmen, interceding for families, communities, and nations (1 Timothy 2:1-2). As we heed this call, let us persist in prayer, trusting that righteousness will shine forth and salvation will flourish in the land. "The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much" (James 5:16).

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and zeal for prayers .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to proclaim your righteousness.

SO GREW THE WORD OF RIGHTEOUSNESS AND IT PREVAILED

You shall continue to make great progress regardless of the situation because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: SO GREW THE WORD OF RIGHTEOUSNESS AND IT PREVAILED

By Michael Benson Ajayi

In Acts 19:20, we read, “So the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed” (AMP). The Greek word for “prevailed” is ischyō, meaning to have strength, power, or dominance. This signifies that the message of righteousness, rooted in the gospel of Christ, not only expanded in influence but also overcame cultural resistance, transforming lives and societies.

David echoes a similar sentiment in Psalm 35:28, where he declares, “And my tongue shall speak of Your righteousness and of Your praise all the day long” (AMP). This verse reveals the believer's unwavering commitment to proclaim God’s righteousness until the spiritual atmosphere shifts. Through consistent declaration and faithful living, the Word of God begins to penetrate hearts and reshape communities.

The power of the Word to prevail is seen throughout Scripture. Isaiah 55:11 assures us, “So will My word be which goes out of My mouth; it will not return to Me void, without accomplishing what I desire” (AMP). Similarly, Romans 1:16 highlights that the gospel is “the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.” These verses emphasize the transformative capacity of the Word when spoken and lived.

As believers, we are called to continuously declare the righteousness of God, as David modeled. Like in Ephesus, where the Word triumphed over idolatry, our steadfast proclamation will usher in cultural and spiritual renewal. Let us persist in speaking His Word until it prevails in every sphere of life.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and boldness to preach the gospel.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome poverty.

THE RIGHTEOUS SHALL FLOURISH LIKE A PALM TREE

You are being strategically positioned for extraordinary breakthroughs by the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: THE RIGHTEOUS SHALL FLOURISH LIKE A PALM TREE

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Psalm 92:13-15 declares, “Planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. Growing in grace, they will still thrive and bear fruit in old age; they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, ‘The Lord is upright; He is my Rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.’”

This passage likens the righteous to a palm tree, highlighting their enduring strength, productivity, and resilience.

The palm tree is uniquely designed by God to thrive in challenging environments. Its deep roots seek hidden water sources, symbolizing the righteous who draw spiritual nourishment from God’s Word (Psalm 1:3). The palm also produces fruit, such as dates, which nourish and sustain others, much like the righteous who bear spiritual fruit to bless the world (Galatians 5:22-23).

The prosperity of the church is primarily for promoting righteousness in society. Proverbs 14:34 reminds us, "Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people." The church thrives when its members reflect God’s character, influencing the world through love, justice, and truth.

As ambassadors of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:20), the church must proclaim His righteousness through both word and deed. By living out godly principles, the church becomes a light in darkness (Matthew 5:14-16), pointing society back to God’s standards. Just as the palm tree flourishes and stands tall, so too will the righteous, bringing glory to God and transforming their communities.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and wisdom for innovation and creativity for prosperity.for promotion of righteousness in the  society.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to prosper.

TRUE WEALTH: FAITH AND LOVE OVER MATERIAL ACHIEVEMENT

You are not a failure because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

TRUE WEALTH: FAITH AND LOVE OVER MATERIAL ACHIEVEMENT

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Human achievement, no matter how grand, holds no value before God if it is not rooted in faith and love. The Apostle Paul reminds us in Galatians 5:6 (AMP), “For [if we are] in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but only faith activated and expressed and working through love.” God measures our lives by our trust in Him and the love we extend to others—not by material possessions or worldly success.

The pursuit of earthly goods often leaves people feeling either empty or burdened by failure. However, Jesus Himself warns us in Luke 12:15, “Be on your guard against every form of greed, for not even when one has an overflowing abundance does his life consist of, nor is it derived from his possessions.” Our true purpose is found in seeking the eternal rather than the temporal.

Paul urges us in Colossians 3:2 (AMP) to, “Set your mind and keep focused habitually on the things above [the heavenly things], not on things that are on the earth [which have only temporal value].” Material blessings, while gifts from God, should never capture our hearts. As Psalm 62:10 advises, “If riches increase, do not set your heart on them.”

A life of faith, love, and devotion to God ensures eternal significance. With our affections set on things above, we can experience peace and fulfillment, regardless of earthly possessions. Remember, in Christ, you are complete (Colossians 2:10).

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and freedom from worldly lusts.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome a low self esteem.

SOWING TO THE FLESH AND ITS IMPLICATIONS ON SOCIETY

You shall not labour and someone else eat the fruits of your labour because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

SOWING TO THE FLESH AND ITS IMPLICATIONS ON SOCIETY

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Galatians 6:8 warns, “For the one who sows to his flesh will from the flesh reap destruction, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life” (AMP). Sowing to the flesh means pursuing selfish desires and sinful behaviors that gratify human nature apart from God’s will. Galatians 5:19-21 lists these works of the flesh: “sexual immorality, impurity, debauchery, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and the like.”

Unfortunately, most church programs in Africa are designed to feed the flesh not the spirit , nothing or less is spoken about the righteousness of the believer and gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit.

When individuals and societies choose to sow to the flesh, the results are devastating. The breakdown of moral values leads to fractured families, increased crime, and societal discord. For example, unchecked greed and selfish ambition foster corruption and exploitation. Similarly, envy and hatred fuel conflicts, divisions, and wars. Proverbs 14:34 reminds us, “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.”

Moreover, personal consequences include alienation from God and spiritual decay. Romans 8:6 declares, “The mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace.” Persistent sin leads to destruction, not only in this life but also in eternity (Romans 6:23).

However, society can experience restoration when individuals turn to God and sow to the Spirit. Repentance brings healing, as 2 Chronicles 7:14 states: “If My people...will humble themselves...then I will heal their land.” The choice to reject fleshly desires and embrace God’s ways transforms not only lives but entire communities.

In our prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and manifestations of the fruits of the Holy Spirit in our families and church

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to be fruitful.

HOW TO GUARD YOUR HEART AGAINST EVIL INFLUENCE ( PART 1)

You shall not be a victim of evil manipulations because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: HOW TO GUARD YOUR HEART AGAINST EVIL INFLUENCE ( PART 1)

HOW CAN JESUS CHRIST BE GOD AND BE THE SON OF MAN ?

Receive power to destroy evil addictions now because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: HOW CAN JESUS CHRIST BE GOD AND BE THE SON OF MAN ?

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

.SON OF MAN

The title "Son of Man" is one of the most distinctive ways Jesus refers to Himself in the New Testament. The phrase carries deep theological significance and appears in various contexts throughout the Bible, particularly in the Gospels.

OLD TESTAMENT BACKGROUND:

The term "Son of Man" has roots in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament). One of the key references is in Daniel 7:13-14, where Daniel describes a vision of "one like a son of man" coming with the clouds of heaven and being given authority, glory, and sovereign power by God. This figure is a messianic figure with divine authority, and this prophecy becomes a backdrop for understanding Jesus' use of the title.

IN THE GOSPELS:

Jesus frequently refers to Himself as the "Son of Man" in various settings, and this term has multiple layers of meaning.

1. HUMANITY: "Son of Man" emphasizes Jesus' full humanity. In Aramaic (the language Jesus spoke), "son of man" can simply mean a human being. By using this term, Jesus identifies Himself with humanity, stressing His experience as a fully human person who suffers, feels pain, and lives within human limitations.

2. MESSIANIC IDENTITY: Jesus' use of "Son of Man" echoes the messianic figure in Daniel 7. When Jesus refers to Himself in this way, He subtly points to His role as the awaited Messiah who will have authority and dominion, though this is often veiled until later in His ministry. In passages like Matthew 24:30 and Mark 14:62, Jesus connects Himself to the divine figure in Daniel, highlighting His ultimate return in glory and judgment.

3. SUFFERING AND SACRIFICE: Jesus frequently links the title "Son of Man" with His suffering, death, and resurrection. In Mark 8:31, Jesus says that the Son of Man must suffer, be rejected, killed, and rise again. This shows how Jesus redefines messianic expectations—not as a conquering ruler but as a suffering servant who will redeem humanity through His sacrificial death.

4. ESCHATOLOGICAL ROLE: Jesus also uses the title to refer to His future role in judgment and the consummation of God's kingdom. For instance, in Matthew 25:31, Jesus describes the Son of Man coming in His glory to judge the nations. This aligns with the image in Daniel of the Son of Man receiving eternal authority and establishes Jesus' ultimate role as judge and king in the end times.

THEOLOGICAL SIGNIFICANCE:

Humanity And Divinity: The title "Son of Man" uniquely holds together both Jesus' humanity and His divinity. While emphasizing His human nature, it also points to His exalted role in God's redemptive plan.

MESSIAH AND SUFFERING Servant: By calling Himself the Son of Man, Jesus redefines common Jewish expectations of the Messiah as a political deliverer. Instead, He reveals Himself as the suffering servant who will bring salvation through humility, sacrifice, and eventual glory.

FULFILLMENT OF PROPHECY: Jesus' use of the title connects His life and mission to Old Testament prophecies, especially Daniel’s vision, demonstrating that He fulfills God’s promises of a Messiah who would establish an everlasting kingdom.

"Son of Man" is a multifaceted title that reveals Jesus as both fully human and fully divine, the suffering servant, and the exalted Messiah who will bring God's kingdom to fulfillment.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and revelation of his divine nature .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to defend the gospel.

WHY JESUS CHRIST, GOD, HAD TO COME IN HUMAN FORM TO SAVE HUMANITY

You are marked for an extraordinary promotion because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional; WHY JESUS CHRIST, GOD, HAD TO COME IN HUMAN FORM TO SAVE HUMANITY

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

The necessity of Jesus Christ coming in human form to save humanity is central to the Christian faith. The Bible offers numerous reasons why God chose to take on flesh, which are grounded in His justice, love, and plan of redemption. Below is an apologetic argument with key Bible verses to explain this profound truth.

1. GOD'S JUSTICE REQUIRES A PERFECT SUBSTITUTE

Humanity sinned, and the penalty for sin is death (Romans 6:23). Since God is perfectly just, sin had to be punished.

Only a human could stand in place of humanity, but no mere human was sinless. Jesus, being fully God and fully man, was the only one capable of fulfilling this role.

The Bible says  “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God [that is, His remarkable, overwhelming gift of grace to believers] is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23, AMP)

“He made Christ who knew no sin to [judicially] be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we would become the righteousness of God.” (2 Corinthians 5:21, AMP

2. GOD’S PROMISE OF A MEDIATOR

Humanity needed someone who could mediate between a holy God and sinful people. Jesus, as God in human form, became that mediator.

The Bible says  “For there is [only] one God, and [only] one Mediator between God and mankind, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom [a substitutionary sacrifice] for all, the testimony given at the right and proper time.” (1 Timothy 2:5-6, AMP)

3. THE NECESSITY OF THE INCARNATION

Jesus’ incarnation fulfilled God’s promise of salvation. The Word becoming flesh allowed Him to live as a human, experience human weakness, and become the perfect sacrifice for sin.

The Bible says : “And the Word (Christ) became flesh, and lived among us; and we [actually] saw His glory, glory as belongs to the [One and] only begotten Son of the Father, [the Son who is truly unique, the only One of His kind,] who is full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14, AMP)

4. ONLY A SINLESS SACRIFICE COULD ATONE FOR SIN

Animal sacrifices under the Old Testament were insufficient to take away sin permanently. Jesus’ perfect life qualified Him to be the ultimate sacrifice.

The Bible says   “For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. … we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.” (Hebrews 10:4, 10, AMP)

5. TO DEFEAT DEATH AND RESTORE LIFE

Sin brought death into the world, and only Jesus could defeat death by rising again. His resurrection secured eternal life for believers.

The Bible says

“Since [therefore these His] children share in flesh and blood [the physical nature of mankind], He Himself [in a similar manner] also shared in the same [physical nature, but without sin], so that through [experiencing] death He might make powerless (ineffective, impotent) him who had the power of death—that is, the devil.” (Hebrews 2:14, AMP)

6. GOD’S LOVE COMPELLED HIM TO COME

The ultimate reason for the incarnation is God’s love for humanity. He desired to save us and restore us to a relationship with Him.

The Bible says   “For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:16, AMP)

In summary, Jesus Christ had to come in human form because only He could meet the divine requirements for justice and mercy. His incarnation, death, and resurrection accomplished what humanity could not achieve on its own—reconciliation with God. By becoming fully human while remaining fully God, Jesus bridged the gap between a holy God and sinful humanity, offering salvation to all who believe in Him.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome evil manipulations.

WHY JESUS CHRIST WAS SENT BY GOD TO HUMANITY ON CHRISTMAS DAY

Unexpected financial help shall locate you because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: WHY JESUS CHRIST WAS SENT BY GOD TO HUMANITY ON CHRISTMAS DAY

 By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

The key element of Christmas day is the Incanation of the word of God in a manner that man could relate to . It is hypostatic union of humanity and divinity where Jesus Christ is 100% man and 100% God .

Jesus Christ’s mission to humanity is the ultimate demonstration of God’s love, grace, and redemption plan. The Bible reveals that Jesus was sent to reconcile humanity to God, providing salvation, eternal life, and a pathway to restored fellowship with the Creator.

First, Jesus was sent to save humanity from sin. Sin separated mankind from God, but Jesus came to bridge that gap. John 3:16 states, “For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His One and only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life” (AMP). This act of sacrificial love underscores God’s desire to redeem His creation.

Second, Jesus came to reveal God’s character and will. Colossians 1:15 describes Jesus as “the exact living image [the essential manifestation] of the unseen God.” Through His teachings, miracles, and compassion, Jesus embodied God’s holiness and love, providing a perfect example for humanity to follow.

Additionally, Jesus was sent to defeat the power of sin and death. His death on the cross and resurrection fulfilled the prophecy in Isaiah 53:5, which states, “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was crushed for our wickedness...the punishment for our well-being fell on Him, and by His stripes (wounds) we are healed.”

In conclusion, Jesus Christ’s mission was to restore what was lost through sin and bring humanity back into relationship with God. Through Him, we have access to forgiveness, hope, and eternal life.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and the revelation and manifestation of his divine nature in us.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to live in righteousness.

RELIGION DOES NOT GUARANTEE SALVATION

The yoke of guilt and condemnation is broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

RELIGION DOES NOT GUARANTEE SALVATION

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Salvation is not earned through religious practices but is a gift of God’s grace to those who trust in Him. This truth is demonstrated in Luke 18:10–14, where Jesus tells the parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector. The Pharisee prided himself on his religious acts, saying, “I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all I possess.” In contrast, the tax collector humbly confessed, “God, be merciful to me, a sinner!” Jesus declared that the tax collector, not the Pharisee, went home justified before God. This shows that salvation comes from a repentant heart, not religious rituals.

Abraham, the father of faith, was declared righteous because of his faith, not his religious works. Genesis 15:6 states, “Abram believed the Lord, and He credited it to him as righteousness.” Romans 4:2–3 reaffirms this, emphasizing that righteousness is credited by faith, not by works. Abraham had no formal religion, yet he was justified by trusting in God.

Similarly, the thief on the cross provides a powerful example. In Luke 23:42–43, the thief acknowledged Jesus as Lord and pleaded, “Remember me when You come into Your kingdom.” Jesus assured him, “Today you will be with Me in Paradise.” This man received salvation without performing any religious act.

Ephesians 2:8–9 confirms, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Religion cannot save; only faith in Christ does. Trust in God’s grace, not human effort, for salvation.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and humility to make him known to the unsaved

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to preach the gospel of your grace.

HOW TO OVERCOME SELFISHNESS IN MARRIAGE (2)

The anointing of God's favour is opening doors for you in high places for your breakthroughs .

Good -Life Devotional:

HOW TO OVERCOME SELFISHNESS IN MARRIAGE (2)

By Michael Benson Ajayi

Ephesians 5:21-22,25,28

[21]Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

[22]Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

[25]Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

[28]So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.'

Selfishness is the major reason behind the failure in marriages and relationships. Here are more ways on how to overcome selfishness in your marriage or relationship.

5. CELEBRATE YOUR SPOUSE’S SUCCESS

Rejoice with your spouse’s victories instead of competing. Romans 12:10 says, “Honor one another above yourselves.”

6. SEEK GOD’S WORD TOGETHER

Reading the Bible as a couple reinforces selflessness. Psalm 119:105 reminds us that God’s Word is a lamp to guide our paths.

7. PRACTICE GRATITUDE

Thank God for your spouse daily (1 Thessalonians 5:18). Gratitude shifts your focus from yourself to the blessings in your marriage.

8. PRIORITIZE UNITY

Ephesians 4:3 urges us to “keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” Strive to resolve conflicts quickly and protect your partnership.

By applying these principles, you can replace selfishness with Christlike love and nurture a thriving marriage.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and better ways on how to strengthen our relationships.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to heal the broken hearted.

CORRUPTION THRIVES WHERE THERE ARE DIVINERS AND SOOTHSAYERS

The stronghold of witchcraft is broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good-Life Devotional: CORRUPTION THRIVES WHERE THERE ARE DIVINERS AND SOOTHSAYERS

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Many Christians faced with problems in Africa  are quick to seek for persons who will  'see visions'  and  interpret dreams . This is as a result of the endemic level of poverty caused by a culture of corruption promoted by most religious leaders . These self acclaimed prophets and spiritualists are actually diviners and soothsayers. There are many of them on social media preying on the  ignorant daily .

Corruption thrives where diviners and soothsayers operate because they manipulate and exploit vulnerable minds for personal gain. Acts 16:16 describes a slave girl with a spirit of divination, who brought her masters much profit through fortune-telling. This illustrates how soothsayers often prey on people’s fears and desires, offering deceitful promises rather than godly wisdom.

The Apostle Peter warns in 2 Peter 2:19, “They promise them liberty, while they themselves are slaves of corruption.” Such individuals are servants of corruption, using their influence to lead others astray. By appealing to human curiosity and impatience, soothsayers capture the minds of many, fostering dependence on their services rather than on God.

In contrast, true prophets lead people to righteousness and obedience to God. Their message aligns with Scripture, which reveals God’s will. As Deuteronomy 18:10-12 warns, divination and soothsaying are detestable to God because they draw hearts away from Him.

Instead of seeking the services of soothsayers, believers are called to meditate on God’s Word (Psalm 1:2) and remain steadfast in prayer (1 Thessalonians 5:17). God’s truth, found in the Bible, is sufficient to guide us in all aspects of life. Pursuing righteousness through faith in Christ ensures that we are not ensnared by deception. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, who is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and reject the corruption that diviners and soothsayers bring.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and protection from the evil influence of soothsayers .

PRAYERS : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome witchcraft.

NATIONS SOLD THROUGH HARLOTRY AND WITCHCRAFT

You shall not be a victim of witchcraft manipulations because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: NATIONS SOLD THROUGH HARLOTRY AND WITCHCRAFT

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Nahum 3:4 warns of the destructive influence of harlotry and witchcraft, describing how they sell nations and families. This verse highlights the spiritual and societal decay caused by immoral practices and manipulation. Harlots often target men in leadership, luring them into immoral relationships that drain national resources. Through the use of witchcraft—soothsaying and divination—they gain influence over decision-makers, diverting funds intended for public welfare.

This misallocation of resources results in underdeveloped infrastructure, poor healthcare, unpaid civil servants, and widespread poverty, particularly in nations struggling with governance issues. Africa, for instance, has often suffered from such corrupt practices, which cripple economic growth and perpetuate social inequality.

The church has a crucial role in countering this societal plague. Christian leaders must press for accountability, ensuring that people of integrity occupy positions of power. Preachers should boldly teach against harlotry and expose the dangers of witchcraft, as emphasized in 1 Corinthians 6:15-16, which condemns sexual immorality. Furthermore, Revelation 2:20-21 warns of God's judgment on those who engage in such acts, while Ephesians 5:3 and Colossians 3:5 call believers to abstain from impurity.

The solution lies in spiritual warfare and societal reformation. By binding the spirit of witchcraft and promoting godly values, the church can help restore integrity and righteousness in governance. In doing so, nations can reclaim their resources for the benefit of their citizens, advancing development and reducing poverty.

In our daily prayers we should seek for a healthy appetite for God's word and pursuit of righteous culture in the society.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation.

AVOIDING SOOTHSAYERS AND DIVINERS: STAYING ROOTED IN GOD’S WORD

The anointing of God's upon you is facilitating your promotion right now .

Good -Life Devotional: AVOIDING SOOTHSAYERS AND DIVINERS: STAYING ROOTED IN GOD’S WORD

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Any prophet or prophetess or spirit medium that does teach on righteousness , holiness and the importance of having  the Holy Spirit is a soothsayer and diviner .

Patronizing soothsayers, diviners, and false prophets leads to spiritual rebellion, distancing believers from the truth of God's Word. Psalm 107:10-11 warns of the consequences: "Some sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, prisoners in misery and chains, because they had rebelled against the words of God and spurned the counsel of the Most High." Such rebellion results in spiritual bondage and separation from God.

False guides manipulate, causing error in understanding God's will. Isaiah 9:16 cautions, “Those who guide this people mislead them, and those who are guided are led astray.” Similarly, Colossians 2:19-23 highlights the dangers of relying on human traditions and deceptive practices rather than Christ, emphasizing that wisdom lies in clinging to Him as the Head of the Church.

To combat these deceptions, we need discernment (Hebrews 5:14) and a hunger for God's Word (Psalm 119:103). By immersing ourselves in Scripture and prayer, we can identify and avoid these deceptive influences, staying firmly rooted in the truth of God’s Word. Only through Christ can we remain free from error and grow in spiritual maturity.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and protection from deception.

PRAYER; Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome the deceiver.

SOWING TO THE FLESH AND THE EFFECT ON SOCIETY
