ALL SCRIPTURE IS GOD-BREATHED (PART 2)

The yoke of confusion and stagnation is broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

ALL SCRIPTURE IS GOD-BREATHED (PART 2)

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

1. John 14:6 (AMP)

Jesus said to him, "I am the [only] Way [to God] and the [real] Truth and the [real] Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me."

This verse shows that truth is absolute and found in Christ, not subject to individual interpretation.

This is proof that the gospel is alive and here is more evidence in that regard .

4. DEFENSE AGAINST RELATIVISM

In a culture that often rejects absolute truth, where bad sometimes is good and good sometimes bad , this passage ( 2Timotjy 3;16-17) serves as a foundation for asserting the Bible as the ultimate standard for morality, doctrine, and guidance.

By showing how Scripture consistently transforms lives and societies, Christians can argue for its divine origin and practical efficacy.

5. HISTORICAL AND TEXTUAL RELIABILITY

Biblical apologists can connect 2 Timothy 3:16-17 with evidence for the Bible's historical accuracy and preservation:

Archaeological discoveries confirm biblical accounts.

Manuscript evidence supports the reliability of Scripture, with the Bible having more manuscripts than any other ancient text.

These facts affirm the trustworthiness of what Paul refers to as "God-breathed."

6. SCRIPTURE AS SELF-AUTHENTICATING

Paul’s declaration serves as an internal witness to Scripture's divine nature. While critics may view this as circular reasoning, biblical apologists argue that divine revelation carries inherent authority and needs no external validation to be true.

PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS IN THE DEFENCE OF THE GOSPEL :

When engaging skeptics, point to how Scripture fulfills its stated purposes (teaching, convicting, correcting, equipping) in the lives of believers.

Highlight fulfilled prophecy and the transformational impact of the Bible across cultures and generations as evidence of divine inspiration.

Address objections about alleged contradictions or irrelevance by demonstrating the coherence and timeless wisdom of biblical teaching.

By using 2 Timothy 3:16-17, believers can confidently defend the authority, reliability, and transformative power of Scripture. Seek for opportunities to demonstrate the power of the Holy Spirit .

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and zeal to spread the gospel.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to defend the gospel.
