THE PREACHING ON RIGHTEOUSNESS BRINGS PROSPERITY TO A NATION

   Righteousness is the foundation for true prosperity in any nation. Isaiah 45:8 declares, "Drip down, O heavens, from above, and let the clouds pour down righteousness; let the earth open up and salvation bear fruit, and righteousness spring up with it. I, the LORD, have created it" (AMP). This verse emphasizes that when righteousness is established, salvation and prosperity follow as natural fruits. 

    The early Church exemplified this principle. Acts 2:42-47 and Acts 4:31-37 show how believers lived in unity, sharing their possessions and ensuring no one lacked. Their communal prosperity, grounded in righteousness, demonstrated God's design for a flourishing society. Instead of focusing on individual wealth, the Church’s generosity and devotion to righteous living transformed their communities, earning them favor with God and man.

    Modern preaching often prioritizes individual prosperity, fostering greed and inequality. James 5:1-6 warns against hoarding wealth and exploiting the poor, reminding us of the judgment awaiting such actions. True prosperity begins with righteousness, which fosters equity and uplifts the entire community. Proverbs 14:34 asserts, "Righteousness [moral and spiritual integrity and virtuous character] exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people" (AMP).

    The message of righteousness must remain central in Christian teachings. It redirects focus from materialism to godly living, creating a just society where wealth is a tool for collective good. As believers, we must embody righteousness, seeking first God's kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that all other things will be added to us (Matthew 6:33).

  In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and for our pastors to make righteousness the core of all preachings .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to promote righteousness in the world .
