Good -Life Devotional: NATIONS SOLD THROUGH HARLOTRY AND WITCHCRAFT

   Nahum 3:4 warns of the destructive influence of harlotry and witchcraft, describing how they sell nations and families. This verse highlights the spiritual and societal decay caused by immoral practices and manipulation. Harlots often target men in leadership, luring them into immoral relationships that drain national resources. Through the use of witchcraft—soothsaying and divination—they gain influence over decision-makers, diverting funds intended for public welfare.

    This misallocation of resources results in underdeveloped infrastructure, poor healthcare, unpaid civil servants, and widespread poverty, particularly in nations struggling with governance issues. Africa, for instance, has often suffered from such corrupt practices, which cripple economic growth and perpetuate social inequality.

     The church has a crucial role in countering this societal plague. Christian leaders must press for accountability, ensuring that people of integrity occupy positions of power. Preachers should boldly teach against harlotry and expose the dangers of witchcraft, as emphasized in 1 Corinthians 6:15-16, which condemns sexual immorality. Furthermore, Revelation 2:20-21 warns of God's judgment on those who engage in such acts, while Ephesians 5:3 and Colossians 3:5 call believers to abstain from impurity.

   The solution lies in spiritual warfare and societal reformation. By binding the spirit of witchcraft and promoting godly values, the church can help restore integrity and righteousness in governance. In doing so, nations can reclaim their resources for the benefit of their citizens, advancing development and reducing poverty.

  In our daily prayers we should seek for a healthy appetite for God's word and pursuit of righteous culture in the society. 

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation.
