ONE MEASURE OF GRACE IN CHRIST

The plans of the wicked against you shall be exposed and neutralised because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.
Good -Life Devotional: ONE MEASURE OF GRACE IN CHRIST

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi
The New Testament teaches that no preacher or believer possesses a superior measure of God’s grace above others. Epistle to the Ephesians 4:7 (AMP) declares, “Yet grace [God’s undeserved favor] was given to each one of us, not indiscriminately, but in different ways in proportion to the measure of Christ’s gift.” The source and measure of grace is Christ Himself, and He gives it freely to every believer. The difference lies in our function, not in our worth or spiritual rank within the body of Christ.
In Gospel of John 1:16 we read, “For out of His fullness we have all received grace upon grace.” Scripture does not speak of partial fullness or spiritual percentages. Every believer receives from the same fullness of Christ. Therefore, no minister can rightly claim a special access to God that others do not have.
A powerful example appears in Acts of the Apostles 10:25–26. When Cornelius fell at Peter’s feet to worship him, the apostle immediately lifted him up and said, “Stand up; I too am just a man.” Peter understood that the glory belongs to God alone, not to any human vessel.
The unity of believers is further emphasized in First Epistle to the Corinthians 12:11–13, which teaches that the same Spirit distributes gifts and that we are all baptized into one body by one Spirit. Likewise, Second Epistle to the Corinthians 4:13 reminds us that we share the same spirit of faith.
When modern preachers demand honor that borders on worship or claim exclusive favor with God, they contradict the humility taught by Christ (see also Gospel of Matthew 23:8–12). All believers stand equally under the grace of God.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome evil .
Lord Jesus, keep Your church humble and united. Remove pride from our hearts and help us honor You alone as the source of grace and power. Amen.
