Good -Life Devotional: God’s JUDGMENT AGAINST UNJUST SYSTEMS

   Isaiah 10:1–2 (AMP) declares: “Woe (judgment is coming) to those who enact unjust statutes and to those who constantly record oppressive decisions, so as to deprive the needy of justice and rob the poor of My people of their rights…”

God is not indifferent to injustice. When laws are crafted to favor the powerful and crush the weak, Heaven takes notice. Through the prophet Isaiah, the Lord warns that unjust systems carry within them the seeds of divine judgment. Policies may be signed in secret rooms, but they are weighed in God’s courtroom.

    Scripture consistently affirms this truth. “Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne” (Psalm 89:14 AMP).    When justice is manipulated, it is not merely a political failure—it is a moral rebellion against God’s character. Solomon wrote in Proverbs 29:2, “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people groan.” Oppression produces groaning, but righteousness releases rejoicing.

   The Lord commands in Micah 6:8 to “do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God.” Systems that ignore justice cannot stand forever. Ecclesiastes 5:8 reminds us not to be shocked by oppression, for God sees every abuse of power. He is the Righteous Judge who overturns thrones and lifts the humble.

   As believers, we must pray, stand for truth, and refuse to normalize injustice.   Though unjust statutes may seem entrenched, God’s verdict is final.

PRAYER : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome evil structures .

Righteous Judge, frustrate unjust laws and policies that impoverish the people. Let every manipulation of justice be overturned. Expose hidden corruption and dismantle oppressive systems. Raise leaders who fear You and uphold truth. Establish righteousness and equity in our land, and let justice flow like a mighty river. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
