CHRIST DID NOT DIE FOR GOOD PEOPLE

The wicked shall fall into the trap that was set for you because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.
Good -Life Devotional: CHRIST DID NOT DIE FOR GOOD PEOPLE
By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi
Humanity was spiritually helpless because of sin and could not save itself through personal righteousness or good works. Therefore, God sent Jesus Christ to die for sinners, not because they had become good, but because of His great love and mercy.
Ephesians 2:8 teaches that we are saved by grace through faith; salvation is God's gift, not a human achievement. No one can earn eternal life through religious activities, charitable deeds, or personal morality. Titus 3:5 confirms that God saved us, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy.
This does not mean that good works are unimportant. Rather, good works are the fruit of salvation, not its cause. When we receive God's grace through faith in Christ, we are called to repent, abandon sinful practices, and live in obedience to His Word.
Repentance does not purchase God's love; it is our response to His grace. We do not obey God to earn salvation; we obey Him because His grace has saved us and is transforming our lives.
REFLECTION
Have you been relying on your good deeds to earn God's acceptance? Remember that salvation is God's gift through Jesus Christ. Receive His grace by faith, repent sincerely, and demonstrate your gratitude through a life of holiness, love, and obedience.
PRAYER : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive Him as Lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to walk in holiness.
Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me while I was still a sinner. Help me to depend on Christ's finished work rather than my own righteousness. Grant me a repentant heart and empower me by Your grace to live a holy and obedient life, in Jesus' name. Amen.
