TOPIC: THE TRUTH ABOUT LOVE
LOVE IS NOT A FEELING
- As a husband, do not display weakness in order to compromise for your family’s happiness. Stand your ground until the day you die. Because if you do show that weakness, your family or company will falter due to that weakness.
- Love is not a feeling, it is a principle and a law. God the Father, Son and Holy Ghost is love, and not a feeling. This is why Jesus said that if you loved Him, you would love His commandments.
– When Jesus was nailed on the cross, it was not a feeling.
- Serving God does not mean you have money all the time; if it was, why was it HUNGER that had God send Elijah to the widow of Zarephath
- God is love, and is a mind, and your mind produces principles.
THE PRINCIPLES OF LOVE
1Co 13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
Here is proof that you can speak in tongues of men and angels and not have love. Charity is translated into love.
Tongues are a gift from God; it doesn’t mean you have the spirit. Here is logic; you can be taught Yoruba by a Yoruba person, but you are not Yoruba. That teaching is a gift. Tongues are the same.
1Co 13:2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
1Co 13:3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
If I don’t have the spirit of God in me, even if I am benevolent, it’s all a waste of time.
1Co 13:4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
You don’t say things like “Do you know who I am?!”, and envy people for the things they have.
1Co 13:5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
You are not easily provoked means small things no go make you vex.
1Co 13:6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
You do not celebrate thieves and corruption.
1Co 13:7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
You believe people and you have hope. Nigerian men and women are not poor; you are all being robbed.
1Co 13:8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
Nigeria is full of prophets and yet the system is failing.
ANOTHER COMFORTER
- The people had gotten used to his physical presence, and seeing is believing. So He said that to be with them in not a physical manner, but a spiritual one.
- This does not mean that the man in Calabar claiming to be the Holy Spirit is right. Neither are the muslims thinking that this statement was referring to Mohammed.
- Logic 1: If you have a bucket of water, and I ask you for a cup of water, then I ask you for ANOTHER cup of water, does that second cup have different water?
- Logic 2: If I need to send you a document, and I send it as a Word Document, and then a PDF, do the different formats mean that the text is different?
IN YOU AND WITH YOU
- If a fraudster uses an ATM, it will respond because of the integrity of the currency and the ATM, not because of the integrity of the fraudster.
- Jesus sent his disciples out, including THOMAS and JUDAS. And when they came back, they reported that demons left because of His name. God was WITH them. What Jesus then said was that the miracles in his name were not the point, but saving people.
- That is the difference between the spirit being in and being with. These people can have the spirit WITH them, because God’s Word is truth, and He will make the word come true despite the mouth it is coming out of. They can cast out demons and speak in tongues, but it does not mean they are filled with the Holy Ghost. Because being filled means you have the CHARACTER of the spirit.
LOGIC AGAINST CONSTANT “FALLING UNDER THE ANOINTING”
God is everywhere and he is omnipresent, correct? Then why is it that everyone, pastors, doctors, the army, anyone else outside that church program, is not constantly falling under the anointing?
Check these prayerhouses or gatherings and you will notice that the targets for these are more commonly women. It is written in 2 Peter 2 that these women have weak souls. A woman who is not loved, or abandoned, or one not educated or a widow, wants to feel SOMETHING, which is why they do so.
Why is this brought up? Because we are in a mess. According to WHO, 2.7 million Nigerians die every year. 5k Nigerians will die every day. If God is love and is present in Nigeria, then why is he
Because the christianity/islam practiced here is mainly fake, and based on feelings; having the lust of the flesh, eyes and the pride of life. What is pride in life? Having your way. That is the same love that Eve practiced that had her eat the fruit, because she didn’t FEEL loved.
PROOF OF GOD AS LOVE
1Jn 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
1Jn 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
- How do you know the person is of God, then? You love God and humanity. Care for one another.
- Anyone who does not love does not know God.
GOD HATES FAME
- The pursuit of fame leads to disorderliness.
- Why do these people steal money? Because they want to be famous.
- Ask any youth from Rivers or Bayelsa State, and ask them what they like about their politicians, and it will be the following;
– They can drink
– The have senators: Good clothing
– They can spend money
– They can dance
- What about repairing and building roads, public schools, clearing the gutters to prevent flooding? What about giving us the free dialysis machines in every medical centre we are supposed to have?
