Good -Life Devotional: THE GREATEST EVIDENCE OF GOD’S LOVE: CHRIST DIED FOR SINNERS

Text: Romans 5:5–8
    God’s love is demonstrated, not merely declared. While many religions emphasize human efforts to gain divine acceptance, Christianity proclaims that God loved us before we loved Him. The cross is the historical demonstration of God’s love for sinful humanity.
     Romans 5:8 declares, “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” God did not wait for humanity to become righteous before providing salvation. He sent Jesus Christ to die for the ungodly, demonstrating a love that human merit could never earn.
    Romans 5:5 explains that God’s love is poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit. Furthermore, Galatians 4:4 reveals that Christ came at God’s appointed time to accomplish His redemptive purpose.
   The cross reveals both God’s justice and His mercy. Through Christ’s sacrificial death, God addressed the problem of sin and provided reconciliation for those who believe in Him. Therefore, salvation is God’s gift of grace, not the reward of human achievements (Ephesians 2:8–9).
  Although suffering exists in the world, the cross demonstrates that God is not indifferent to humanity’s suffering and sinful condition. In Christ, God has provided the way of redemption and eternal hope.
    We must therefore respond to God’s love through repentance, faith in Jesus Christ, gratitude, and obedience. Good works do not purchase salvation; rather, they should flow from a life transformed by God’s grace.

PRAYER Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as Lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to love unconditionally.
Heavenly Father, thank You for demonstrating Your immeasurable love through the death of Jesus Christ. Help me to appreciate Your grace, walk in righteousness, and share the message of salvation with others. May my life continually reflect the love revealed at Calvary, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
