THE COUNSEL OF THE LORD STANDS FOREVER

The plans of the wicked shall be overturned because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: THE COUNSEL OF THE LORD STANDS FOREVER

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Psalm 33:6–11 declares that “By the word of the Lord the heavens were made” (AMP), revealing that God governs the universe by the power of His spoken word. Creation itself stands as evidence that nothing exists or operates outside His authority. The same word that formed the stars also orders history, nations, and individual lives according to His eternal purpose.

Scripture affirms that “The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the plans of His heart from generation to generation” (Psalm 33:11).

Because God is sovereign, no scheme devised by men can overturn His will. He brings “the counsel of the nations to nothing” and frustrates strategies that oppose His righteous purposes (Psalm 33:10).       Throughout Scripture, we see that human pride, political manipulation, and ungodly alliances ultimately fail when they stand against God’s plan (Proverbs 19:21; Job 42:2). Nothing surprises Him; nothing escapes His control.

God’s word concerning the prosperity and restoration of His people is equally sure. Isaiah 55:10–11 assures us that just as rain accomplishes its purpose in the earth, God’s word will not return to Him void but will fulfill what He has spoken. This includes His promises of provision, fruitfulness, and peace for those who walk in obedience (Jeremiah 29:11; Deuteronomy 8:18).

Therefore, prayer is not about persuading God to align with human desires, but about aligning ourselves with His perfect will. Jesus taught us to pray, “Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10). When we submit to God’s counsel, we rest in confidence that His purposes will prevail, for “the Lord of hosts has purposed, and who will annul it?” (Isaiah 14:27).

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and alignment to His purpose .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overturn evil verdicts .

HOW DO THE PEOPLE IMAGINE A VAIN THING AGAINST THE ANOINTED?

The plans of the wicked shall fail because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.
Good -Life Devotional: HOW DO THE PEOPLE IMAGINE A VAIN THING AGAINST THE ANOINTED?

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi
Psalm 2 opens with a piercing question: “Why do the nations rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?” (Ps. 2:1, AMP). Throughout history, corrupt politicians and heathen systems have drawn up strategies to exploit God’s people and scatter the Church of Christ. They oppose the Lord and His Anointed, believing their power, wealth, or numbers can overthrow God’s purpose. Yet heaven’s response is clear: “He who sits in the heavens laughs” (Ps. 2:4).
The Hebrew word translated “derision” in Psalm 2:4 is שָׂחַק (śāchaq / yischak), meaning to laugh, mock, or scoff. It pictures God calmly ridiculing the arrogance of the wicked. Their plots may look terrifying on earth, but before God they are empty, temporary, and doomed.
Haman in the book of Esther imagined a wicked plan to destroy the Jews. He built gallows for Mordecai, yet through fasting and prayer, the strategy of Satan was overturned, and Haman was hanged on the very gallows he prepared (Esth. 7:10). Likewise, Herod planned to kill Peter after executing James, because it pleased unbelievers. But “prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God” (Acts 12:5). The plan failed, Peter was delivered by an angel, and Herod eventually died under judgment.
God promises, “He frustrates the devices of the crafty” (Job 5:12–15). Therefore, believers must not be silent when wicked plans arise. Saying “it is well” without resistance gives Satan advantage. Scripture calls us to resist the devil (James 4:7), to watch and pray (Matt. 26:41), and to engage fasting that breaks yokes (Isa. 58:6). As we pray, God releases angels (Ps. 34:7), causes evil plans to backfire (Prov. 21:30), and guarantees victory for His Anointed and His people.
We should seek a healthy appetite for God's word in our daily prayers and the destruction of the plans of the wicked .
PRAYER : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to pray effectively.

GOD'S PRESENCE OUTWEIGHS NUMBERS . YOU ARE THE MAJORITY WITH GOD.

You shall continue to make great progress regardless of the prevailing circumstances because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.
Good -Life Devotional:  GOD'S PRESENCE OUTWEIGHS NUMBERS . YOU ARE THE MAJORITY WITH GOD.

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi
This timeless truth captures a central biblical principle: God’s presence outweighs numbers, power, and opposition. Scripture repeatedly shows that divine alignment, not the human majority, determines victory.
When Elisha’s servant feared the surrounding Syrian army, the prophet prayed, and his eyes were opened to see “the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha” (2 Kings 6:16–17, AMP). Elisha’s words, “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them,” reveal that heaven’s backing makes one believer stronger than an army. Unrighteous political alignments will bow to the supreme power of the one with divine backing .
David stood alone before Goliath, rejected by human logic but chosen by God. His confidence was not in weapons or numbers but in covenant: “The battle is the LORD’s” (1 Samuel 17:47, AMP). History turned because one man stood with God.
The New Testament reinforces this truth: “If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31, AMP). The question is rhetorical—no opposition can prevail against God’s will. Even Jesus told His disciples, “Apart from Me you can do nothing” (John 15:5, AMP), but with Him, they turned the world upside down.
Being “one with God” means walking in obedience, accountability, and faith. Spiritual alignment attracts divine backing. Many lose battles not because they are few, but because they stand alone—outside God’s will and authority.
In every battle—spiritual, emotional, or physical—remember this: numbers do not decide outcomes; God does. One person in agreement with God carries the weight of heaven. When God stands with you, you are never outnumbered.
In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and steadfastness to his will at all times .
PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to be honest.

GOD IS RAISING WEALTHY PEOPLE WITH A MISSION

You shall recover in sevenfold that which was lost because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.
Good -Life Devotional:
GOD IS RAISING WEALTHY PEOPLE WITH A MISSION

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi
God is deliberately raising wealthy men and women with a clear kingdom mission. Scripture reveals that prosperity in the hands of the righteous is never an end in itself but a tool for the sanctification of God’s name and the promotion of holiness. Isaiah 29:22–23 declares that when God’s people see the work of His hands prospering among them, they will sanctify His name and stand in awe of the Holy One of Israel. Wealth aligned with obedience restores reverence for God and advances sound doctrine.
Sadly, God’s name and His Church have suffered reproach because of rebellion, murmuring, and self-centered use of resources (Philippians 2:14). However, through the prosperity of the obedient, God’s name will be honored again. Deuteronomy 8:18 reminds us that it is God who gives power to get wealth, specifically to establish His covenant. When wealth serves covenant purposes, righteousness is amplified.
Haggai 1:6–11 and 2:6–9 warn that God can shake economic systems. Those who oppose righteousness labor without satisfaction, but God promises to shake nations so that His glory may fill His house. In such seasons, only investments committed to God’s redemptive purposes—missions, evangelism, and kingdom service—will endure. Proverbs 13:22 affirms that the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.
2 Corinthians 9:8 assures believers that God supplies all grace in abundance so they may excel in every good work. Angels are assigned to assist in the fulfillment of God’s purposes (Hebrews 1:14), including the redistribution and direction of resources. Since the earth and its fullness belong to the Lord (Psalm 24:1), believers must steward wealth in alignment with His will—seeking first His kingdom and righteousness (Matthew 6:33).
In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and faithful commitment to promote the gospel with our finances .
PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to prosper.

THE TRAGEDY OF LABOURING TO BE RICH AND IT'S DESTRUCTIVE EFFECTS ON FAMILIES, COMMUNITIES, AND CHURCHES

Extraordinary financial help shall locate you because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: THE TRAGEDY OF LABOURING TO BE RICH AND IT'S DESTRUCTIVE EFFECTS ON FAMILIES, COMMUNITIES, AND CHURCHES

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Scripture gives a sober warning against an unhealthy pursuit of wealth. “Do not weary yourself to gain wealth; stop dwelling on it” (Proverbs 23:4–5, AMP). Labouring to be rich as a life obsession slowly erodes families, weakens communities, and compromises the Church. Wealth itself is not evil, but when riches replace God as the object of trust, devotion, and meditation, destruction follows.

Revelation 3:17 exposes the inner consequence of this mindset: “You say, I am rich… and do not know that you are wretched and miserable.” The Greek word translated “miserable” is ἐλεεινός (eleeinos), meaning pitiable, spiritually distressed, and deserving of compassion. This reveals a lack of emotional and spiritual intelligence. Such people may appear successful yet remain inwardly broken. The text also says they are “naked” (γυμνός, gymnos), meaning exposed and vulnerable—open to witchcraft attacks and demonic manipulation due to the absence of spiritual covering. They are called “poor” (πτωχός, ptōchos), indicating mental and spiritual poverty that drives an unhealthy obsession with riches while neglecting emotional commitment to spouse and family.

Sadly, many modern preachers celebrate this imbalance as virtue. The result is visible in failed marriages and fractured families among the wealthy. Riches must never take God’s place in prayer, meditation on the Word, and obedience (Matthew 6:33; 1 Timothy 6:9–10). Wise believers with large portfolios intentionally dedicate time to prayer, Scripture, and evangelism.

Abraham, Isaac, Joseph, Daniel, Esther, and Dorcas controlled immense resources yet maintained deep fellowship with the Holy Spirit. True satisfaction comes from discovering purpose in Christ and stewarding resources to fulfill it. “He who loves money will not be satisfied with money” (Ecclesiastes 5:10–11). In the end, wealth is temporary; purpose in Christ is eternal.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and wisdom to manage God's resources in our care .

PRAYER; Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome poverty.

YOUR OFFERINGS SHALL SPEAK FOR YOU IN THE TIME OF CRISIS

The evil verdict against your family shall be reversed because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: YOUR OFFERINGS SHALL SPEAK FOR YOU IN THE TIME OF CRISIS

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Scripture reveals that faithful offerings and devoted service create a spiritual testimony before God that speaks loudly in times of crisis. When King Hezekiah was struck with a terminal illness, the prophet Isaiah declared that he would die. In response, Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed, saying, “Remember now, O Lord, I beseech You, how I have walked before You in faithfulness and with a whole heart” (2 Kings 20:3, AMP). His life of service and devotion stood as a memorial before God, and the Lord answered by healing him and adding fifteen more years to his life (2 Kings 20:5–6).

Similarly, Dorcas (Tabitha) in Acts 9:39 was remembered for her charitable deeds and generosity to the poor. Even in death, her offerings and service spoke on her behalf, and God used Peter to restore her to life. Her works followed her, just as Scripture declares: “Their deeds follow them” (Revelation 14:13).

Psalm 20:1–4 affirms this principle, declaring that in the day of trouble, the Lord will remember your offerings and accept your sacrifices. The Apostle Paul echoes this truth in Philippians 4:17, teaching that giving creates a spiritual account that abounds to the believer’s credit. Jesus Himself warned against living without kingdom investment, calling such people “not rich toward God” (Luke 12:21).

The churches of Macedonia and Philippi understood this mystery. Despite deep poverty, they joyfully gave and even begged Paul to receive their offerings (2 Corinthians 8:1–5). In times of crisis, your offerings and service can silence the accuser who comes to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). God is a faithful rewarder (Hebrews 6:10), and what you sow into His kingdom will speak for you when it matters most.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and commitment to divine service.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome the fear of death .

YOUR FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND SPIRITUAL ACCOUNTABILITY IN SPIRITUAL WARFARE

The curse of stagnation and bankruptcy is broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.
Good -Life Devotional: YOUR FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND SPIRITUAL ACCOUNTABILITY IN SPIRITUAL WARFARE

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi
Every believer is engaged in spiritual warfare, whether consciously or not (Ephesians 6:12). While prayer, fasting, and faith are essential weapons, Scripture also reveals that financial responsibility to spiritual authority is a powerful, often neglected dimension of victory. Some battles are too complex to fight alone; this is why God established spiritual accountability within the Church (Hebrews 13:17).
The churches of Macedonia provide a striking example. In 2 Corinthians 8:1–5, despite “extreme poverty,” they begged Paul for the privilege of giving. Their offering went far beyond expectation because they first gave themselves to the Lord and to apostolic authority. Their generosity was not merely charity—it was spiritual warfare.
In Philippians 4:13–18, Paul affirms that supernatural strength to endure and overcome comes through Christ, yet he also commends the Philippians for partnering with him financially. He describes their giving as “a fragrant aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God” (v.18, AMP). This language echoes temple incense, revealing a spiritual reality.
Revelation 5:8 declares that golden bowls of incense are the prayers of the saints, and Revelation 8:3–5 shows incense mingled with prayer releasing divine judgments and angelic action. Offerings, aligned with prayer and obedience, become spiritual incense—fuel for heavenly intervention. In this sense, they function like spiritual explosives God authorizes angels to deploy on behalf of His people.
Satan fiercely resists believers from honoring spiritual authority financially because of its extraordinary power (Malachi 3:10–11). Scripture affirms, “Those who are taught the word must share all good things with their teacher” (Galatians 6:6), and “God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7). Financial obedience is not loss—it is warfare, worship, and wisdom.
In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and a generous spirit.

VICTORY THROUGH SPIRITUAL ACCOUNTABILITY

You shall not be disgraced because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.
Devotional: VICTORY THROUGH SPIRITUAL ACCOUNTABILITY

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi
Exodus 17 records a powerful truth about victory in battle. As Israel fought Amalek, the outcome did not depend solely on swords in the valley but on spiritual authority on the hill. “When Moses held up his hand [with the staff of God], Israel prevailed” (Exodus 17:11, AMP). When Moses grew weary, Aaron and Hur supported his hands. Victory was preserved through accountability, partnership, and submission to God-ordained leadership.
This same principle appears in Isaiah’s intervention during Assyria’s invasion. When King Hezekiah faced the terrifying threats of Sennacherib, he did not fight alone. He humbled himself and sought the prophet Isaiah (2 Kings 19:1–7). Isaiah spoke God’s word, interceded, and God sent an angel who destroyed the Assyrian army overnight (2 Kings 19:35). Accountability to spiritual authority guaranteed victory where military strength could not.
James reinforces this order: “Call for the elders of the church” in times of sickness and crisis (James 5:14). Some battles are too complex to fight alone. Yet many believers avoid spiritual accountability because of fear of financial responsibility. Scripture is clear: “The one who is taught the word is to share all good things with his teacher” (Galatians 6:6), and Paul instructed believers to give systematically to support God’s work (1 Corinthians 16:1–2).
Jesus affirmed this principle: “Whoever gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones…will not lose his reward” (Matthew 10:42). The prophet’s reward is not manipulation—it is shared victory through joined faith. Battles are won when we stop standing alone and align with God’s appointed help.
In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and humility to be spiritually accountable.
PRAYER. Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome poverty and stagnation.

JESUS CHRIST INSTITUTED SPIRITUAL ACCOUNTABILITY IN THE NEW TESTAMENT CHURCH

You shall not fall victim of fraud because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: JESUS CHRIST INSTITUTED SPIRITUAL ACCOUNTABILITY IN THE NEW TESTAMENT CHURCH

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Spiritual accountability is not a human invention; it was instituted by Jesus Christ as a foundational principle for growth, order, and effectiveness in the New Testament Church. Even Saul of Tarsus, later Apostle Paul, though personally encountered by Christ on the road to Damascus, was sent to Ananias for instruction and restoration (Acts 9:10–18). Through Ananias’ obedience, the scales of limitation, doubt, and blindness fell from Saul’s eyes. This reveals that divine encounters do not eliminate the need for spiritual accountability; rather, they often lead us into it.

Many believers wander with spiritual scales—doubt, pride, immaturity, and limitation—because they despise accountability. Scripture teaches that God works through order. Angels are “ministering spirits sent out to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation” (Hebrews 1:14), but they do not operate outside God’s established spiritual order. Resistance to accountability hinders divine cooperation and blocks spiritual progress.

In the family structure, women are called to accountability to their husbands “because of the angels” (1 Corinthians 11:10), not due to inferiority, but for administrative reasons and an example for children to follow .

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and humility to be under authority.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome witchcraft.

IMPORTANCE OF SPIRITUAL ACCOUNTABILITY IN SPIRITUAL WARFARE

You shall be granted wisdom to solve very difficult problems because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

IMPORTANCE OF SPIRITUAL ACCOUNTABILITY IN SPIRITUAL WARFARE

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Spiritual warfare is never fought successfully in isolation. Scripture repeatedly reveals that God establishes spiritual accountability as a safeguard for victory, growth, and doctrinal stability. The experience of Job illustrates this truth vividly. Though righteous, Job lacked discernment in certain spiritual matters. He failed to recognize the role of Elihu, likely dismissing him because of age (Job 32:6–9). Elihu rightly taught that wisdom ultimately comes from God, not merely age, and his intervention exposed Job’s ignorance concerning spiritual defense.

Job assumed that offerings and benevolence could substitute for obedience and sound understanding (Job 1:5). Satan exploited this gap, bringing devastation to his possessions and children. God often places a person of authority in our lives as an instrument to teach obedience, humility, and truth. Even Jesus Christ, though fully divine, learned obedience in practice (Hebrews 5:8). His submission to John the Baptist for baptism (Matthew 3:13–15) did not diminish His deity, just as a state governor obeying traffic lights does not lose authority.

Preachers without spiritual accountability in doctrine frequently drift into error, a danger warned against in Hosea 4:6: “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” Job’s suffering persisted until Elihu corrected him, and even Job’s friends were instructed to bring sacrifices to Job so he could pray for them (Job 42:7–9), underscoring that sacrifices outside God-ordained order lack validity.

Saul lost battles because he disregarded Samuel (1 Samuel 13:8–14). God promised, “I will give you shepherds after My own heart” (Jeremiah 3:15, AMP)—not self-appointed pastors, a practice condemned in 2 Timothy 4:3. The absence of spiritual accountability remains a root cause of spiritual decay and even bad governance, a reality evident in Nigeria today. True warfare victory flows from submission, obedience, and God-ordained accountability.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and humility to learn wisdom .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome the fear of untimely death.

THIS KIND GOES NOT OUT EXCEPT BY PRAYER AND FASTING”

You shall not be small but eventually become a major influencer because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life - Devotional: “THIS KIND GOES NOT OUT EXCEPT BY PRAYER AND FASTING”

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

“However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.” — Matthew 17:21 (AMP)

In Matthew 17, the disciples faced a spiritual challenge they could not overcome. A demon tormented a young boy, and though they had previously cast out demons, this one resisted them. Jesus’ response revealed a powerful truth about spiritual life: not every battle is the same, and not every obstacle yields to casual spirituality.

Some manuscripts omit Matthew 17:21, yet the message is confirmed in Mark 9:29, and strongly supported throughout Scripture. Jesus often withdrew to pray (Luke 5:16), taught His followers to fast (Matthew 6:16–18), and warned them to “watch and pray” (Matthew 26:41). The early church practiced both disciplines to seek God’s power (Acts 13:2–3).

The disciples’ failure was not because Christ’s authority was weak, but because their preparation was shallow. They approached a deep spiritual confrontation with minimal spiritual discipline. Jesus teaches us that certain breakthroughs require deeper devotion—the kind shaped in the secret place, strengthened by fasting, and empowered through persistent prayer.

In our lives, some burdens, temptations, and strongholds will not move until we press beyond routine Christianity. Prayer aligns our hearts with God’s will; fasting humbles the flesh and sharpens spiritual sensitivity. Together they cultivate a faith that can confront darkness with authority.

Today, reflect: Are there battles I’ve tried to fight in my own strength? Jesus invites us into deeper communion with Him, where spiritual power is renewed and impossible things become possible.

Some victories come only through prayer and fasting. In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and discipline to fast regularly .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome evil strongholds.

LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION” — THE DANGER OF PRESUMPTION

You shall continue to make great progress regardless of the opposition against you because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

“LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION” — THE DANGER OF PRESUMPTION

GOD COULD LEAD A PERSON INTO TEMPTATION.

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

“And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil.” — Matthew 6:13 (AMP)

When Jesus taught His disciples to pray, He included a sobering request: “Lead us not into temptation.” This is not because God desires to mislead His children, but because our own presumptuous choices can push us into situations where God allows us to face the consequences of our stubbornness. This prayer is a confession of humility: “Lord, restrain me from paths I cannot handle.”

Scripture is filled with warnings about the danger of presumption. Korah and his followers rose against divinely appointed authority, and God allowed their rebellion to lead them into destruction (Numbers 16). Nadab and Abihu presumed on God’s holiness and were consumed by fire (Leviticus 10:1–2). These accounts reveal a spiritual principle—when people rebel against God’s order, they step outside His defence.

The New Testament offers equally instructive examples. Paul, though sincere and devoted, was repeatedly warned:

• “Through the Spirit they told Paul not to go up to Jerusalem” (Acts 21:4).

• Prophet Agabus cautioned him about imprisonment (Acts 21:11).

• Earlier, Jesus told him, “Get out of Jerusalem quickly” (Acts 22:18).

Paul’s journey shows that even passionate believers can ignore divine cautions in the name of zeal. Many Christians today suffer unnecessary heartbreak, loss, and spiritual decline because they mistake stubbornness for bold faith. The Lord often sends warnings—through Scripture, the Holy Spirit, prophetic voices, or mature believers—but presumption deafens the ear.

This is why Jesus teaches us to pray daily, “Lead us not.” It is an invitation to yield, to acknowledge that God knows the dangers ahead that we cannot see. Proverbs reminds us, “In the multitude of counsellors there is safety” (11:14). Seeking wisdom from mature Christians is not weakness—it is protection.

Today, ask the Lord to keep you from presumptuous decisions. His guidance is your safety, and His wisdom is your shield.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to walk in wisdom .

THE LORD HAS REMOVED THE DEFENCE OF THE REBEL

Your family is under the covenant of divine preservation because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.
Good -Life Devotional:
THE LORD HAS REMOVED THE DEFENCE OF THE REBEL

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi
Scripture clearly teaches that God Himself is the ultimate defence and shield of His people. Numbers 14:9 (AMP) declares, “Their protection has been removed from them, and the Lord is with us.” When a person walks in obedience, the covering of God rests upon them; but when they rebel, that divine shield is lifted.
Psalm 47:9 reminds us that “the shields of the earth belong to God.” Defence, security, and preservation do not come from human intelligence, political structures, or physical strength. They come from the Lord, who assigns protection according to His purpose. He preserves men and women for assignments aligned with His will, but rebellion uproots them from this covering.
Job 22:25 calls the Lord “your defence”, and David frequently acknowledged God as his only shield in the face of danger (Psalm 7:10; Psalm 59:9,16). No weapon formed against the obedient believer can prosper (Isaiah 54:17), but the one who rejects God’s order invites vulnerability.
A believer who rebels against spiritual authority—authority God Himself has set (Romans 13:1; Hebrews 13:17)—steps outside the circle of divine protection. Paul warns in 1 Corinthians 10:10 that rebellion exposes a person to destruction, for God’s angels are not assigned to defend the rebellious (Psalm 91:11 applies only to those who dwell “in the secret place of the Most High”).
Throughout Scripture, those who hardened their hearts—Saul, Korah, and the Israelites in the wilderness—lost God’s defence because they resisted His will.
Obedience attracts divine protection; rebellion removes it. To remain under God’s shield, the believer must walk humbly, submit to His order, and abide in His will.
In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and humility to be understanding divine authority.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to walk in humility.

REASONS GOD IGNORES THE PRAYER FOR DELIVERANCE OF A NATION FROM TERRORISTS

Your expectations shall not be cut short because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: REASONS GOD IGNORES THE PRAYER FOR DELIVERANCE OF A NATION FROM TERRORISTS

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Scripture teaches that national deliverance is never automatic; it is conditioned upon repentance, righteousness, and a return to God. In 2 Chronicles 7:14–15, God clearly states that “If My people… humble themselves, pray, seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways,” then He will hear, forgive, and heal their land. Without these conditions, prayers for national deliverance often go unanswered. Here are ten biblical reasons why God may ignore such prayers.

1. LACK OF REPENTANCE

Deliverance requires repentance. Joel 2:17 shows priests weeping and calling the nation to turn back before restoration comes.

2. PERSISTENT NATIONAL SIN

God rejects prayer when sin is cherished (Psalm 66:18). A nation living in rebellion cannot expect divine intervention.

3. INJUSTICE IN LEADERSHIP

Leaders who pervert justice provoke divine silence (Isaiah 1:23, Micah 3:11).

4. SHEDDING OF INNOCENT BLOOD

God judges nations for bloodshed (2 Kings 24:3–4, Genesis 4:10–11).

5. IDOLATRY AND MORAL DECAY

Where idols rule the culture, God withdraws protection (Jeremiah 2:11–13).

6. HYPOCRITICAL WORSHIP

God rejects religious rituals without obedience (Isaiah 1:11–15).

7. REFUSAL TO HEAR GOD’S WORD

Ignoring Scripture leads to calamity (Proverbs 28:9, Zechariah 7:11–14).

8. PRIDE AND SELF-RELIANCE

Nations that trust in military might rather than God fall (Psalm 20:7, Obadiah 3).

9. CORRUPTION AND OPPRESSION

God hears the cry of the oppressed; unjust nations face judgment (Amos 5:12–15).

10. FAILURE TO RETURN TO COVENANT FOUNDATIONS

God’s healing comes only when nations return to Him (Hosea 6:1–2).

A nation must bow in repentance before it can rise in deliverance. True security is found only in returning to the Lord.In our daily prayers we should seek a repentant heart for our nation to be saved from terrorism .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to preach righteousness .

EXCEPT THE LORD KEEPS THE NATION

Your family is under the covenant of divine preservation because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good-Life Devotional: EXCEPT THE LORD KEEPS THE NATION

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

“Except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain” (Psalm 127:1 AMP). Scripture makes it clear that true security does not come from human effort, military strength, or technological surveillance. Protection belongs to the Lord alone. When a nation, community, or individual forgets this, vulnerability increases—not merely physically, but spiritually.

The book of Daniel reveals an unseen dimension of divine oversight. Daniel 4:13 and 17 speak of watchers—heavenly beings assigned to observe and execute God’s decrees. Nebuchadnezzar, in his pride, ignored the sovereignty of God and attributed Babylon’s greatness to his own power. His arrogance provoked a decree from the watchers, and he was driven from his throne until he acknowledged that “the Most High rules in the kingdom of men.” Human pride, no matter how fortified, collapses when it challenges the authority of God.

Psalm 33:16–17 also warns, “No king is saved by the size of his army… A horse is a vain hope for deliverance.” Modern equivalents—missiles, drones, intelligence systems, and military alliances—cannot guarantee safety when God is ignored or dishonored. The strongest weapons fail when the Lord withdraws His covering; yet the weakest community becomes secure when God Himself stands guard.

Throughout Scripture, this truth is repeated: “The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him” (Psalm 34:7). “The name of the Lord is a strong tower” (Proverbs 18:10). “If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31).

Lasting security comes only through humble dependence on God. When He keeps the city, peace is assured. When He is neglected, all human defenses crumble.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and godly governance in our nation

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and protection from evil .

THE MOST HIGH RULES IN THE KINGDOM OF MEN

:You are marked for an unusual promotion because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: THE MOST HIGH RULES IN THE KINGDOM OF MEN

Daniel 4:17 (AMP)

“…that the living may know that the Most High rules over the kingdom of mankind and He bestows it on whomever He desires and sets over it the humblest and lowliest of men.”

Daniel 4:17 is a powerful reminder that no matter how chaotic global affairs may appear, God remains the true Ruler over the kingdoms of men. Nebuchadnezzar, the most powerful king of his time, learned this truth through painful humbling. His rise was not by his own strength, and his fall was not by accident. It was all orchestrated so that “the living may know” that authority ultimately comes from God.

In a world where people trust in elections, military power, wealth, and human influence, Scripture calls us back to a deeper reality: Heaven rules (Daniel 4:26). Proverbs 21:1 says, “The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord.” Romans 13:1 declares that “there is no authority except from God.” Even when evil rulers arise, it does not negate God’s sovereignty. Sometimes He allows them as instruments of discipline, as seen with the Chaldeans in Habakkuk 1:6, or as part of His redemptive plan, like Cyrus in Isaiah 45.

Yet Daniel 4:17 also reveals something personal: God can raise the “lowliest of men.” Promotion does not come from human networks but from the Lord (Psalm 75:6–7). Therefore, pride is foolish, and humility is wisdom.

As believers, this truth should give us deep peace. Nations may shake, leaders may fail, policies may disappoint, but the throne of Heaven is never vacant. God is guiding history toward His purpose.

Let this verse anchor your soul today: Your security is not in earthly rulers but in the Most High who governs all things. Trust Him, stay humble, and walk in obedience, knowing that His sovereignty is your stability.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and for his will alone to be done on earth.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to promote  wise and godly leadership

THE ABUSE OF LEGISLATIVE PROCESSES ATTRACTS TERRORISM IN A NATION

You shall not fall into the enemy's trap because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: THE ABUSE OF LEGISLATIVE PROCESSES ATTRACTS TERRORISM IN A NATION

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

The abuse of legislative processes is not a small matter before God. Scripture warns that when a nation’s laws are twisted for selfish gain, the door is opened for instability and violent oppression. Habakkuk lamented, “The law is slacked, and justice never prevails” (Habakkuk 1:4). When lawmakers manipulate justice to serve private interests rather than the common good, society becomes vulnerable. God responded to Judah’s corrupt leadership by raising the Chaldeans—ruthless invaders—as instruments of correction (Habakkuk 1:6–10). Verse 12 makes it clear: God sometimes allows oppressive forces to discipline nations that dishonor His order.

This principle remains true today. In many African nations, including Nigeria, legislative abuse and electoral failures have created systems where personal ambition overrides righteousness. James 3:16 (NLT) teaches, “Wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and every kind of evil.” When leaders pursue power rather than justice, chaos fills the vacuum, and terrorism thrives.

God’s Word sets a higher standard for those who rule: “He that rules over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God” (2 Samuel 23:3). Righteous leadership restrains evil, but corrupt leadership invites it. Proverbs 29:4 warns, “A king gives stability to the nation, but one who demands bribes destroys it.” Isaiah echoes the same truth: “Woe to those who make unjust laws” (Isaiah 10:1).

Yet hope remains. God calls His people to pray, repent, and demand righteousness. When justice is restored and leaders govern with the fear of God, peace returns. May we intercede for our nations, that His justice may prevail.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and a working godly electoral process.

PRAYER; Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation.

DRAWING OUR SECURITY FROM THE GREAT STABILISERS—JESUS CHRIST AND HIS WORD ( part 2)

You shall not labour in vain, a great harvest awaits you because of the anointing of God's favour upon you
Good -Life Devotional:  DRAWING OUR SECURITY FROM THE GREAT STABILISERS—JESUS CHRIST AND HIS WORD ( part 2)

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi
In a world marked by instability, many look to riches, positions, or human systems for security. Yet Jesus warns us about the emptiness of such dependence. In Luke 12:19–20, the rich man rested in his wealth, saying, “Soul, you have many goods laid up… take your ease.” But God said, “Fool! This very night your soul is required of you.” Human security is fragile and temporary.
True stability comes only from Jesus Christ and His unchanging Word. “We look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are unseen; for the things seen are temporal, but the things unseen are eternal” (2 Corinthians 4:18). When our hearts are anchored in eternal realities, not earthly illusions, fear loses its grip. That is why Scripture commands, “Set your minds and keep them set on what is above—higher things” (Colossians 3:2).
Though human structures may collapse, “the Lord is the strength of my life” (Psalm 27:1). Though storms may rage, His Word stands firm, for “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away” (Matthew 24:35). When we build our lives on this Rock, we stand unshaken (Matthew 7:24–25).
Let your confidence be in Christ who “never leaves nor forsakes” (Hebrews 13:5–6). Riches can vanish, systems can fail, but Jesus—our Great Stabiliser—remains the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Draw your security from Him, and you will live anchored, assured, and at peace in every season.
In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and sensitivity to the Holy Spirit for directions.

DRAWING OUR SECURITY FROM THE GREAT STABILISERS, JESUS CHRIST AND HIS WORD ( PART 1)

Your family shall be far from disaster because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.
Good-Life Devotional: DRAWING OUR SECURITY FROM THE GREAT STABILISERS, JESUS CHRIST AND HIS WORD ( PART 1)

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi
True security is not found in changing political climates, economic uncertainties, or personal strength, but in Jesus Christ and His unshakable Word. Jesus declared, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away” (Matthew 24:35 AMP). Everything in life shifts, but Christ and His Word remain the great Stabilisers in a world of instability. Security is not in how far we are from terror but how close we are in Christ and his living word .
Insecurity often grows from excessive anxiety over physical needs or life situations. Jesus addressed this directly: “Do not worry about your life” (Matthew 6:25). He pointed to the birds and lilies as reminders that our heavenly Father cares faithfully for His creation (Matthew 6:26, 28–33). If God sustains nature with such precision, how much more will He preserve those who trust in Him?
Christ assures us that we are never abandoned—not even in suffering. Paul echoes this confidence: “Who shall ever separate us from the love of Christ?” (Romans 8:35). Neither death nor life, nor the threats of this world, “nor anything else in all creation” can sever God’s commitment to His children (Romans 8:38–39).
Jesus reinforces this in Matthew 10:29–31, reminding us that not even a sparrow falls without the Father’s knowledge, and we are “worth more than many sparrows.” True safety is not the absence of danger but the presence of divine covering.
Psalm 91:1–2 promises that those who dwell in God’s secret place live under His shadow. Isaiah 26:3 adds that God keeps in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed on Him.
When Christ and His Word become our anchor, insecurity loses its grip.
In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and protection from evil .
PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome the fear of terrorism.

THE SPIRIT BEHIND THE SWORD: CONTRASTING ISLAMIC JIHAD TEXTS WITH BIBLICAL TRUTH.( PART 2 )

The covenant with untimely death is broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

THE SPIRIT BEHIND THE SWORD: CONTRASTING ISLAMIC JIHAD TEXTS WITH BIBLICAL TRUTH.( PART 2 )

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

 – PEACEFUL WITNESS VS. HOLY WAR: THE BATTLE FOR THE HUMAN SOUL

Islamic jihadists often cite Qur’an 9:5, known as “the sword verse”: “Kill the polytheists wherever you find them…” They see this as a perpetual command, not a historical instruction. Other passages, like Qur’an 47:4, command beheading in battle. Hadith literature also glorifies martyrdom in war, promising paradise and rewards to those who die fighting. For extremists, these texts form a theological foundation: faith must be defended and expanded by the sword. Christians who believe in the trinity ( God in three persons as described by Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:19 ) are said to be polytheists and therefore, deserve to be killed  even though moderate Muslims hold a different more tolerant view

But in Scripture, God’s kingdom is advanced by truth, not terror. Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world… otherwise My servants would be fighting.” (John 18:36, AMP). Christianity does not spread through coercion but through proclamation:

“How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news.” (Romans 10:15, AMP).

God calls His people not to impose belief but to witness, love, and make disciples through example and teaching—not force (Matthew 28:19–20). When the apostles faced persecution, they did not retaliate; they preached boldly under the Spirit’s power.

Scripture also guards believers from hatred. Jesus commands, “Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.” (Matthew 5:44, AMP). Paul writes, “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” (Romans 12:21, AMP).

Jihadists fight for earthly dominance; Christians fight for eternal souls. Jihadists seek to establish a kingdom by violence; believers seek to manifest the kingdom of God through righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17).

This teaching encourages you to stand firm in Christ’s peaceful mission. In a world shaped by religious violence, God calls you to reflect His heart—overcoming darkness not with the sword, but with the light of the gospel.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and the salvation of extremists.
