Good-Life Devotional: DRAWING OUR SECURITY FROM THE GREAT STABILISERS, JESUS CHRIST AND HIS WORD ( PART 1)

    True security is not found in changing political climates, economic uncertainties, or personal strength, but in Jesus Christ and His unshakable Word. Jesus declared, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away” (Matthew 24:35 AMP). Everything in life shifts, but Christ and His Word remain the great Stabilisers in a world of instability. Security is not in how far we are from terror but how close we are in Christ and his living word .
   Insecurity often grows from excessive anxiety over physical needs or life situations. Jesus addressed this directly: “Do not worry about your life” (Matthew 6:25). He pointed to the birds and lilies as reminders that our heavenly Father cares faithfully for His creation (Matthew 6:26, 28–33). If God sustains nature with such precision, how much more will He preserve those who trust in Him?
    Christ assures us that we are never abandoned—not even in suffering. Paul echoes this confidence: “Who shall ever separate us from the love of Christ?” (Romans 8:35). Neither death nor life, nor the threats of this world, “nor anything else in all creation” can sever God’s commitment to His children (Romans 8:38–39).
    Jesus reinforces this in Matthew 10:29–31, reminding us that not even a sparrow falls without the Father’s knowledge, and we are “worth more than many sparrows.” True safety is not the absence of danger but the presence of divine covering.
    Psalm 91:1–2 promises that those who dwell in God’s secret place live under His shadow. Isaiah 26:3 adds that God keeps in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed on Him.
    When Christ and His Word become our anchor, insecurity loses its grip.
In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and protection from evil .
PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome the fear of terrorism.
