THE PROSPERITY OF THE FOOL SHALL DESTROY THEM .

Receive wisdom for excellence in your transactions because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.
Good -Life Devotional: THE PROSPERITY OF THE FOOL SHALL DESTROY THEM .

Proverbs 1:32 declares, “For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.”
Prosperity, when divorced from righteousness, becomes a snare rather than a blessing. The fool mistakes temporary success for divine approval, forgetting that wealth without wisdom leads to ruin. The psalmist confessed in Psalm 73:3 that he almost envied the arrogant when he saw the prosperity of the wicked. But later, in verse 22, he realized his folly—“So foolish was I, and ignorant; I was as a beast before You.”
It is foolish to admire the prosperity of the wicked, for they walk on a downward slippery slope. Their wealth and comfort are deceptive; like a flower, they bloom briefly before fading away. Psalm 73:18 says, “Surely You set them in slippery places; You cast them down into destruction.” God allows the wicked to prosper for a season, but their end is eternal loss.
In contrast, “The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree; he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon” (Psalm 92:12). Though they may not possess worldly riches, the righteous are rooted in eternal prosperity—peace with God, joy in the Holy Spirit, and everlasting life. Psalm 92:7 concludes, “When the wicked spring up like grass, and all the workers of iniquity flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed forever.” True prosperity is not measured by possessions but by one’s standing with God.
In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and contentment and godliness.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to walk in integrity.
