YOU SHALL BE DELIVERED FROM YOUR DISTRESSES

 You shall not be overwhelmed by your troubles but shall overcome because of the anointing of God's favour upon you. 

Good -Life Devotional: YOU SHALL BE DELIVERED FROM YOUR DISTRESSES

Psalms 107:6 "Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses."

    In times of distress, the story of Jacob offers profound lessons on God's deliverance. Jacob, a key patriarch in the Bible, faced numerous trials and tribulations, yet he experienced God's faithfulness and intervention throughout his life.

  Jacob's journey began with deception, fleeing from his brother Esau's wrath. In Genesis 28:15, God assured him, "I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land." Despite his flaws and fears, Jacob clung to this promise, demonstrating that God's deliverance isn't contingent on our perfection but on His grace.

   Years later, Jacob wrestled with God in Genesis 32:24-30. This encounter symbolized his internal struggle and transformation. In verse 28, God declared, "Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel, because you have struggled with God and with humans and have overcome." This pivotal moment marked God's deliverance from his past and his fears, paving the way for a renewed purpose. He learnt his limits and began trusting more in the lord . The bible says 1 John 5:4-5

 "For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. ]Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?" You shall overcome whatever situation you are in through faith in Jesus Christ.

Jacob's story encourages believers that, amid distress, God's presence is unwavering. As Psalm 34:17 promises, "The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles." By looking to Jacob's life, we are reminded that God is a deliverer, faithful to rescue us from our deepest distresses, guiding us towards His promises.

Prayer : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome the fear of poverty . Amen.
