THE SPIRITUALLY MINDED BELIEVER

Psalms 63:6,8 "When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.

My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me."

A spiritually minded Christian seeks to align their thoughts and actions with the will of God, as taught in the Bible. This involves a deep commitment to spiritual growth, prayer, and the study of Scripture. Romans 8:5 emphasizes the importance of this mindset: "For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit."

Being spiritually minded means prioritizing God's will over worldly desires. Colossians 3:2 advises, "Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth." This verse calls Christians to focus on eternal values rather than temporary, material concerns.

Moreover, spiritually minded Christians rely on the Holy Spirit for guidance. John 16:13 assures, "When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth." The Holy Spirit helps believers understand God's Word and discern His will.

Prayer is also crucial. Philippians 4:6-7 encourages believers to pray about everything, promising that "the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

Ultimately, a spiritually minded Christian strives to reflect Christ's love and live a life that honors God, guided by Scripture and the Holy Spirit.

Prayer: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power for unlimited provisions.
