GOD'S JUDGMENT AGAINST LEADERS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DEATH OF INNOCENT CITIZENS

The law of untimely death is hereby revoked over your family because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

GOD'S JUDGMENT AGAINST LEADERS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DEATH OF INNOCENT CITIZENS

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Genesis 9:6 "Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man."

Psalms 51:14 " Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness."

In the Bible, God's judgments on rulers responsible for unnecessary deaths of citizens are vividly portrayed. Ezekiel 11:1-13 highlights the prophet's vision of 25 leaders of Israel who devised wicked plans and led people astray, resulting in God's severe judgment. God declares He will bring a sword against them and drive them out of the city, emphasizing His intolerance for leaders who cause the death of innocents.

Proverbs 6:16-19 lists seven things the Lord hates, including "hands that shed innocent blood." This aligns with the principle in Ezekiel, stressing that God condemns rulers who engage in or facilitate the killing of innocents.

Isaiah 10:1-3 warns rulers who enact unjust laws and deprive the poor of their rights, suggesting that their unjust actions will bring about God's retribution. God’s judgment is inevitable for those who abuse power and neglect justice.

Jeremiah 22:3-5 admonishes kings to do what is just and right, rescue the oppressed, and refrain from shedding innocent blood. The passage underscores that failure to adhere to these divine standards invites God's punishment.

Finally, in Revelation 19:15, God's ultimate judgment is depicted, where He will strike down nations and rule with an iron scepter. This imagery reinforces the message that God will ultimately hold accountable those who lead their people into sin and unnecessary death. These biblical passages collectively underscore God's unwavering justice and His condemnation of rulers who perpetuate violence and injustice.

We should demand our pastors refrain from supporting ungodly leaders and in our daily prayers ask that godly people be stirred up into seeking elected offices.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy spirit and deliverance from blood guilt. Amen
