PATIENT IN TRIBULATIONS

The yoke of stagnation and confusion is broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

PATIENT IN TRIBULATIONS

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

 Deuteronomy 8:16

" Who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers knew not, that he might humble thee, and that he might pr

ove thee, to do thee good at thy latter end;"

Jeremiah 29:11 " For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."

Most people have their lives planned out on how they hope to live the good life . Such plans seldom take into cognisance the adversities that may come along the way . This is why those ill- prepared for life's journey soon quit the faith .

We should always be ready for tribulations in our faith walk with Jesus Christ . That is how Christian character is formed ( Romans 5:3-4) and an end to shame .

In times of tribulation, the Bible calls us to remain steadfast and patient. Romans 12:12 urges believers to "rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer." The Greek word for tribulation, "θλῖψις" (thlipsis), means pressure, affliction, or distress. It refers to the trials and hardships we endure in life.

Daniel and Joseph exemplify patience in tribulation. Daniel, taken captive to Babylon, faced immense pressure to conform to a pagan culture. Despite this, he remained faithful to God, even when threatened with death in the lion's den. His patience and unwavering faith led to his deliverance and ultimately glorified God ( Read Daniel chapter 1 to Chapter 6)

Joseph, sold into slavery by his brothers, endured years of suffering and imprisonment. Despite his hardships, he trusted in God's plan. His patience bore fruit when he was elevated to a position of power in Egypt, enabling him to save his family and countless others from famine (Read Genesis 37 to chapter 50)

Both Daniel and Joseph illustrate the power of patience in tribulation. They show that enduring trials with faith and patience leads to God's deliverance and blessings. Like them, we are called to trust in God's timing and remain patient, knowing that He works all things for our good (Romans 8:28).

In our daily prayers ask the lord for strength and wisdom to go through trials knowing it will result in good at the end according to Deut.8:16

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power resilience in the face of trials .
