Good -Life Devotional: THE SPIRIT OF BOLDNESS

Joshua 1:9 "Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."

The Spirit of boldness is essential for spreading the gospel, as it empowers believers to share their faith despite challenges or opposition. This boldness is not born of human courage but is a gift from the Holy Spirit, as seen in Acts 4:31: "And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness."

The Apostle Paul exemplifies this courage in 2 Timothy 1:7, where he writes, "For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control." This verse highlights that the Spirit of boldness is coupled with love and wisdom, ensuring that the message is shared with compassion and discernment.

Ephesians 6:19-20 further emphasizes the need for boldness in evangelism. Paul asks for prayers so that he may "declare it [the gospel] boldly, as I ought to speak." This plea underscores that even seasoned apostles sought divine help for courage, reminding believers that boldness is a continual need, nurtured through prayer and reliance on the Holy Spirit.

Thus, the Spirit of boldness is a crucial trait for Christians, enabling them to proclaim the gospel fearlessly and faithfully.

  Jesus Christ commands believers to teach the gospel , the bible says Matthew 28:19-20

[19]Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 

[20]Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

In your daily prayers ask the lord for boldness to preach the gospel  .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and boldness to preach the gospel.
