Good -Life Devotional: FOUR JUDGEMENTS OF GOD ON PREACHERS WHO SUPPORT UNGODLY LEADERSHIP

  The Bible sternly warns against preachers who support ungodly leadership for personal gain. Micah 3 and Isaiah 1 specifically highlight the dire consequences of such actions.

In Micah 3, the prophet denounces the leaders and prophets of Israel for their corruption and greed. Verses 5-7 predict a day when their visions will turn dark and their divinations will fail. God will withdraw His presence, leaving them in spiritual blindness. This is the first judgment: a loss of divine guidance.

The second judgment is the destruction of their influence. Micah 3:12 warns that because of their iniquity, Zion will be plowed like a field. The once revered city, symbolizing their authority, will be reduced to ruins. Preachers who exploit their position for bribes will see their ministries crumble.

Isaiah 1 adds a third judgment: God's rejection of their worship. In verses 13-15, God declares that He despises their offerings and prayers, which are tainted by their unjust actions. Their religious practices become meaningless, reflecting a severed relationship with God.

The fourth judgment is God's direct retribution. Isaiah 1:24-25 foretells how God will take vengeance on His foes and purge away their impurities. Preachers who endorse ungodly leaders for bribes will face God's purifying wrath, ultimately being stripped of their power and position.

These judgments emphasize the gravity of spiritual leaders compromising their integrity for personal gain. God's justice is unwavering, ensuring that those who betray their sacred trust face severe consequences.

 In your daily prayers ask God to speedily execute his judgement upon preachers who partner with ungodly leaders to destroy the society also pray for God to send us righteous preachers who shall be bold to teach the truth of the gospel. 

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to promote good governance.Amen
