GOD IS AGAINST SYNCRETISM (2)

The plans of the wicked against you shall continue to fail because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: GOD IS AGAINST SYNCRETISM (2)

God is unequivocally against syncretism—the blending of true worship with pagan practices. In Micah 5:11–15, the Lord declares judgment against Israel for embracing idols, witchcraft, and soothsaying ( seers ) . “I will destroy your witchcraft and you will no longer cast spells” (Micah 5:12, AMP). God's people had corrupted their worship by mixing it with the occult, and as a result, they fell into the hands of their enemies. Today, many fall into the same trap—combining Christianity with cultural traditions, New Age practices, ancestral worship, or witchcraft. This  is rebellion against God .

God views syncretism as spiritual adultery. In Exodus 20:3, He commands, “You shall have no other gods before Me.” When His people forsake Him, He responds in judgment, not indifference. In Deuteronomy 18:10–12, God condemns every form of divination and sorcery, calling it “detestable.” 1 Samuel 15:23 equates rebellion and witchcraft, stating, “For rebellion is as [serious as] the sin of witchcraft” (AMP).

In Galatians 3:1, Paul sternly rebukes the church: “O foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you?” Even believers can come under deception when they turn from the gospel to false spiritual influences ( false prophets and seers ) . When soothsayers and psychics replace sound doctrine and biblical truth, God's judgment is near.

But God's judgment is also redemptive. He will break the strongholds of witchcraft and tear down idols to reclaim His people for Himself. As believers, we must return to the pure gospel and reject every form of syncretism. 2 Corinthians 6:17 commands, “Come out from among them and be separate.” Let us obey.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and salvation of our communities and boldness to resist the devil and the  destruction of satanic alters in our communities.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome evil manipulations.

GOD IS AGAINST SYNCRETISM. (Part 1)

You are delivered from the fear of witchcraft because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional; GOD IS AGAINST SYNCRETISM.  (Part 1)

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Syncretism is the blending or merging of different religions, cultures, or philosophies into one system. It often happens when people try to harmonize differing beliefs to create unity or inclusiveness, but it can also dilute or distort original beliefs.

IN A RELIGIOUS CONTEXT:

Syncretism might involve mixing Christian beliefs with elements from other religions, such as animism, New Age spirituality, or other worldviews.

For example, combining Christian worship with local pagan rituals or using non-biblical spiritual practices within Christianity.

BIBLICAL VIEW:

The Bible generally opposes religious syncretism. God calls His people to exclusive worship and devotion (see Exodus 20:3, 2 Corinthians 6:14-17). Blending truth with falsehood is viewed as spiritual compromise or idolatry. The pictures of a preacher as a necklace, bowing before carved or molten  images of saints are idol worship.

EXAMPLES IN SCRIPTURE:

King Solomon married foreign wives and allowed their gods into Israel (1 Kings 11), which led to judgment.

The Israelites often fell into syncretism, worshiping Baal alongside Yahweh (see Judges, 1 Kings 18).

Many  Christians in the church in Africa practice syncretism. They have fear of jujus.  They are also  belong to JuJu cults with idols in their homes and are also  members of a church . The bible says in  Galatians 1:8 'But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed." these persons preach another gospel and attracts a curse from God.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and faith for the miraculous.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome the fear of Idols.

THE PRESENCE OF IDOLS HINDERS THE MANIFESTATION OF GOD'S POWER

You shall continue to make great progress in the face of adversity because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.
Good -Life Devotional: THE PRESENCE OF IDOLS HINDERS THE MANIFESTATION OF GOD'S POWER
By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi
A man struggled so much to make progress despite prayers and fastings . When he complained we prayed and  the lord said he was in possession of an item that hindered his breakthrough. When I asked he confirmed that he had a spiritual belt handed to him by his father who was a priest in a religion known for the worship of angels . We burnt it and after a little while he received his breakthrough.
Idolatry is a major obstacle to the manifestation of God's power. In 2 Chronicles 33:1–11, King Manasseh led Judah into deep rebellion by building altars to false gods, even placing idols in the house of the Lord. As a result, God’s presence withdrew, and judgment came upon the nation—Israel was handed over into bondage. God's power did not deliver them, for their hearts had turned to other gods.

Similarly, in Joshua 7, Israel was defeated at Ai because of Achan’s secret sin—he had taken what God called "accursed." Though Israel was strong, they could not prevail because an abomination lay hidden among them. The Lord declared, “You cannot stand before your enemies until you remove the accursed thing from among you” (Joshua 7:13).

In Ezekiel 14:3, God rebukes the elders of Israel for setting up idols in their hearts, warning that such inner rebellion blocks divine communication and favor. Isaiah 42:8 reminds us that God does not share His glory: “I am the Lord, that is My name; My glory I will not give to another.”

When idols—physical or spiritual—are present, they quench the Spirit's power. Only by returning to wholehearted worship can we see God's power fully manifest.
In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and revelation of hidden Idols in our hearts that are hindering our breakthroughs.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome the fear of Idols.

NOT BY POWER, NOT BY MIGHT

You shall succeed where others have failed because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: NOT BY POWER, NOT BY MIGHT

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Zechariah 4:6 declares, “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,” says the Lord of hosts (AMP). This powerful statement reminds believers that victory is not achieved through human strength or ability, but through the Spirit of God. In Hebrew, "might" (chayil) implies strength, efficiency, wealth, or force—human resources. "Power" (koach) refers to natural ability, capacity, or stamina. Together, they represent everything man can do apart from God. Yet God says: “It’s not by these—but by My Spirit.”

Ephesians 3:20 echoes this truth: “Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to His power that is at work within us.” This divine power—dunamis in Greek—works within the born-again believer, enabling us to go beyond training, experience, or natural limitation.

God never intended for us to rely solely on our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). When David faced Goliath, he was untrained in warfare, yet God gave him victory (1 Samuel 17:45-50). When Peter healed the lame man, it wasn’t by skill but by faith in Jesus’ name (Acts 3:6-8). Like them, we draw strength from within—Christ in us, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27).

Therefore, do not limit yourself. You are empowered supernaturally to do the impossible. Live by faith (Galatians 2:20), walk in the Spirit (Galatians 5:25), and give God glory in all things.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and boldness to act in faith .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome stagnation.

THE EXTORTIONER SHALL NOT ENTER HEAVEN

The yoke of the oppressor shall be broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good-Life Devotional: THE EXTORTIONER SHALL NOT ENTER HEAVEN

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Jesus Christ strongly condemned extortion, particularly among religious leaders. In Matthew 23:25 (AMP), He rebuked the scribes and Pharisees: “Woe to you…for you clean the outside of the cup and of the plate, but within they are full of extortion and robbery and self-indulgence.”

The English word extortion means obtaining something, especially money, through force or threats. The Greek term used here is “harpagē” (ἁρπαγή), which denotes plunder, robbery, or greed-driven seizure.

Modern preachers often commit spiritual extortion by demanding offerings, "seeds," or material possessions in exchange for miracles, healings, or breakthroughs. This violates Matthew 10:8, where Jesus commanded, “Freely you have received; freely give.” The idea that blessings can be bought is false and contradicts 1 Peter 1:18, which says, “You were not redeemed with corruptible things like silver or gold.” Isaiah 45:13 reminds us that salvation is given “without price.”

Extortion destroys nations. Governmental corruption raises the cost of goods, leading to hyperinflation. Traders, under pressure, shift costs to consumers, breeding poverty and anger. Societies plagued by extortion often face increased crime and terrorism, as desperation and injustice escalate.

False doctrines suggesting God's grace permits giving proceeds of extortion to churches are demonic. Scripture warns in 1 Corinthians 6:10, “Extortioners… shall not inherit the kingdom of God.” Likewise, Ezekiel 22:12-13 and Micah 3:11 condemn those who take bribes and extort in the name of religion.

Let no one be deceived: God is not mocked (Galatians 6:7). The extortioner shall not enter heaven.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and boldness to speak against corruption in society.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome corruption.

GOD’S POWER IS PERFECTED IN OUR WEAKNESSES

You are receiving a sevenfold restoration of what was stolen from you because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: GOD’S POWER IS PERFECTED IN OUR WEAKNESSES

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

The power of God is not displayed in human strength, but rather in our weaknesses. As Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 12:9 (AMP), “But He has said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you [My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough...]; for My power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in your weakness.’” God deliberately allows human strength and wisdom to fade so His power can be revealed unhindered.

Paul, a vessel of God’s power, shared the many trials he endured (2 Corinthians 11:23–33). In verse 26, he highlights dangers from rivers, robbers, and even false brethren. These sufferings were not random—they were a divine training ground. Through adversity, faith is refined, and reliance on God is deepened. Those who operate in God’s power have often endured much, learning through hardship that true strength comes from surrender.

This principle explains why individuals of noble or privileged background rarely walk in the miraculous power of God; self-reliance often replaces dependence on the Lord. Moses understood this truth. As recorded in Hebrews 11:23–29, he chose to suffer with God’s people rather than enjoy the fleeting pleasures of Pharaoh’s palace. That sacrifice led to a life marked by miraculous power.

Thus, Paul concludes in 2 Corinthians 12:10, “Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities... for when I am weak, then am I strong.” Our weaknesses are God’s opportunities. When we step aside, He steps in with power.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and patience in tribulations.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to recover .

YOUR ATTITUDE TOWARDS MONEY AND THE MANIFESTATION OF THE POWER OF GOD

The curse of stagnation and poverty is broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good-Life Devotional: YOUR ATTITUDE TOWARDS MONEY AND THE MANIFESTATION OF THE POWER OF GOD

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

In Luke 16:11, Jesus asked, “If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?” The Greek word for “true” here is alēthinos, meaning “genuine, real, that which has the quality of truth.” According to John 17:17, “Thy word is truth,” and John 1:2 declares that Jesus Christ is the Word. Further, 1 Corinthians 1:24 tells us Christ is the power of God. Thus, to be truthful is to be full of the consciousness of Jesus Christ’s power dwelling within.

The wrong attitude toward money manifests in two dangerous ways. First, when money becomes one’s security instead of God (cf. 1 Timothy 6:17). Second, when people believe that God’s anointing can be bought—akin to the heresy of Simon in Acts 8:18-24. Those with this attitude often struggle to manifest the Holy Spirit’s gifts and are plagued by bitterness, becoming a stumbling block to the gospel.

In contrast, the Macedonian church, though in deep poverty, gave joyfully and abundantly (2 Corinthians 8:1-4). They understood that giving is a conduit for the manifestation of God’s power. Hence, believers are exhorted to support the gospel with regular offerings (1 Corinthians 16:1-2), to share with their teachers (Galatians 6:6), and to give cheerfully (2 Corinthians 9:6-8).

The heart that gives from faith, not compulsion, invites the overflow of God’s presence, power, and provision.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and a generous spirit .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the power to get wealth .

BEING ASHAMED OF JESUS CHRIST RENDERS THE POWER OF GOD INEFFECTIVE

You shall not be disgraced because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: BEING ASHAMED OF JESUS CHRIST RENDERS THE POWER OF GOD INEFFECTIVE

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Jesus said in Luke 9:26, “For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed…” A Christian who hides their faith forfeits divine power. Paul boldly declared in Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation.” His ministry testified to this power. Acts 19:11–12 records extraordinary miracles God did through Paul—healing the sick and driving out demons with handkerchiefs taken from his body.

Yet today, many believers are more concerned with image than impact. Modern Christianity often substitutes the gospel for marketing strategies, chasing relevance while neglecting the presence of God. We hesitate to post Scripture in our social media groups, but expect divine intervention when trouble strikes. This compromise results in spiritual weakness.

Proverbs 13:13 warns, “Whoever despises the word will be destroyed.” God's power flows through His Word. Psalm 103:20 says angels “excel in strength…hearkening unto the voice of his word.” Miracles manifest when we speak and stand on Scripture without shame.

A shameful Christian is a powerless Christian. Jesus promised, “Whoever believes in me…greater works than these shall he do” (John 14:12). But this promise is void if we’re too embarrassed to believe and speak boldly.

God has not given us a spirit of fear (2 Timothy 1:7). Be bold. Be unashamed. Only then will the power of God be visible in your life.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and opportunities to preach the gospel with boldness.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome fear .

HOW TO DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN THE POWER OF GOD AND SATAN'S POWER IN A RELIGIOUS SYSTEM

You shall not be a victim of evil manipulations because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: HOW TO DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN THE POWER OF GOD AND SATAN'S POWER IN A RELIGIOUS SYSTEM

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

In Matthew 24:1-2, Jesus stood outside the temple as His disciples marveled at its grandeur. Yet, He prophesied its destruction, showing that God's power is not tied to infrastructure but to righteousness. This teaches that false power often glorifies physical structures—buildings funded by manipulation, corruption, or deceit—while true divine power values justice, mercy, and holiness.

Jesus Christ is the power of God (1 Corinthians 1:24). His presence outside the temple highlights how God's true power often operates beyond the confines of corrupt religious systems. True preachers emphasize justice (fairness and rule of law), lovingkindness among neighbors, and righteousness in daily living ( Jeremiah 9;23-24) These are the fruits of God's Spirit, not wealth or signs alone.

Conversely, false power manifests in soothsayers and vision-focused preachers who attract crowds through sensationalism and the promise of material riches. As in Acts 16:16–19, such figures operate under a deceptive spirit, and their preaching centers on prosperity rather than godliness. The girl with a spirit of divination brought profit to her masters until Paul cast the spirit out—revealing that such power is not of God.

According to Isaiah 45:13, God raises leaders in righteousness, not for personal gain. The true preacher operates without love of money, focusing instead on building Christian character . As believers, we must reject false power, pray against its influence in the Church, and uphold the truth of the Gospel. The power of God always leads to transformation, not manipulation.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and discernment.

PRAYER; Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to discern.

YOU NEED THE SPIRIT OF MEEKNESS TO OPERATE THE POWER OF GOD

Those waiting to laugh at your failure shall be overwhelmed by the testimony of your breakthrough by the Holy Spirit.

Good -Life Devotional: YOU NEED THE SPIRIT OF MEEKNESS TO OPERATE THE POWER OF GOD

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

To walk in God’s miraculous power, you must embrace the spirit of meekness. Scripture reveals in Numbers 12:3 that “Moses was very meek, more than all people on the face of the earth.” This quality was not weakness but spiritual strength under submission. The Hebrew word for meek is ‘anav, meaning humble, afflicted, or lowly; in Greek, it is praus, meaning gentle, mild, or humble. Meekness is the attitude that welcomes God’s will without resistance.

Jesus Himself declared in Matthew 11:29, “I am meek and lowly in heart.” His miracles often defied human logic—turning water into wine, walking on water, or raising the dead. None of these acts made rational sense. Yet He walked in them by divine power because of perfect submission to the Father.

BA meek person is unashamed of being insulted or humiliated for God’s sake. They do not allow their status, intellect, or qualifications to hinder God’s move through them. Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 1:26-31 that God rarely uses the high and mighty. He uses the lowly so that “no flesh should glory in His presence.” Human wisdom is often a blockade to divine power.

If you want God to use you, you must be willing to appear foolish to men (1 Corinthians 3:18). God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble (James 4:6). Power flows through a heart that is meek and contrite (Isaiah 66:2). Meekness is not optional—it is the price for divine authority.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and the spirit of Meekness.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to serve in humility.

THE POWER OF GOD IS MANIFESTED WHEN WE PREACH THE GOSPEL OPENLY

You shall continue to thrive in the face of adversity because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: THE POWER OF GOD IS MANIFESTED WHEN WE PREACH THE GOSPEL OPENLY

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Jesus’ final words before His ascension were clear: “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation” (Mark 16:15 AMP). In verses 17–18, He promises that signs will accompany those who believe—casting out demons, speaking in new tongues, healing the sick. Then verse 20 declares, “And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord was working with them and confirming the word by the signs that followed.” This reveals a powerful truth: God confirms His Word with power when we boldly preach it.

The gospel is not a suggestion—it is the power of God. Paul wrote, “I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes” (Romans 1:16). Jesus Christ is the very Word and power of God (John 1:1; 1 Corinthians 1:24). When we proclaim Him, we release the authority of heaven into the earth.

Passive Christianity is powerless and dangerous. It allows darkness to thrive. But as Isaiah 60:1–2 declares, “Arise, shine, for your light has come... For behold, darkness will cover the earth... but the Lord will rise upon you.” We are called to be light in a dark world (Matthew 5:14). The gospel is God's tool to transform hearts, homes, and nations.

God wants His people to preach everywhere, every day (2 Timothy 4:2). When the gospel is boldly proclaimed, corruption is exposed, lives are changed, and God's power is revealed in undeniable ways.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and boldness to preach the gospel.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to preach the gospel with signs and wonders.

THE MIRACULOUS POWER OF GOD IS FOR EVERY BELIEVER

Extraordinary breakthroughs shall follow you because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: THE MIRACULOUS POWER OF GOD IS FOR EVERY BELIEVER

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

The demonstration of the miraculous power of God is not limited to a select group of Christians as false preachers would have you believe. While 1 Corinthians 12:29-31 highlights various spiritual gifts—apostles, prophets, teachers, miracles, and tongues—it does not suggest that God has excluded anyone from operating in His power. In fact, verse 31 urges believers to “earnestly desire the higher gifts,” showing that every Christian should pursue spiritual empowerment with love.

Jesus emphasized this truth in John 14:12, stating, “He who believes in Me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do.” The “greater” here refers to quantity, not quality, as Jesus’ followers would carry His ministry to the ends of the earth. Hebrews 3:1 refers to Jesus as “the Apostle and High Priest of our confession.” The Greek word for apostle, apostolos, means “one who is sent.” Jesus was sent by the Father and operated in all spiritual dimensions—teaching, healing, miracles—without restriction.

Likewise, believers must not limit what God can do through them. Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” That includes healing the sick, raising the dead, and preaching the gospel in power. The Holy Spirit distributes gifts as He wills, but our role is to remain yielded and willing.

Desire the gifts. Pursue love. Refuse to limit God. The power of Christ is available to all who believe..

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and faith for the miraculous.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to work in signs and wonders.

THE POWER OF GOD ENDS ARGUMENTS AND OPENS HEARTS

The anointing of God's favour will keep far away from the waster .

Good -Life Devotional: THE POWER OF GOD ENDS ARGUMENTS AND OPENS HEARTS

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

I went for evangelism and was met by a man who claimed the Bible was not reliable and he referred to a  statement in the NIV Bible which stated that Mark 16;15-20 was not reliable. I said let us put it to test . I asked if there was a sick person that needed healing and a lady with a tumor in her breast for six years asked to be prayed for and was healed instantly with the tumor disappearing. That ended the argument.

The demonstration of God's power silences arguments and paves the way for the Gospel. In Mark 2:7–12, when Jesus healed the paralyzed man, the crowd questioned His authority to forgive sins. But when He commanded the man to rise and walk—and he did—everyone was amazed. This undeniable miracle ended all debate. As verse 12 says, "They were all amazed and glorified God." Immediately after, Mark 2:13 shows Jesus teaching the crowds, a door opened by the demonstration of divine power.

The early church thrived not merely on words but on “a demonstration of the Spirit’s power” (1 Corinthians 2:4–5). Paul didn’t rely on human wisdom but on the evidence of God’s power to stir faith. Likewise, Hebrews 2:4 says God bore witness to the message “by signs and wonders and various miracles.” Christians must yield to the Holy Spirit to confirm the Word with power.

God is not glorified in a powerless church full of persuasive speech but lacking His presence. Jesus said in Mark 16:20, “They went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed the word by the signs that followed.” Let the church be known for power, not just talk.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and boldness to preach the gospel with signs and wonders.

YOUR FAITH SHOULD NOT BE BASED ON HUMAN WISDOM, BUT THE POWER OF GOD

The barriers hindering financial breakthroughs are being removed by the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: YOUR FAITH SHOULD NOT BE BASED ON HUMAN WISDOM, BUT THE POWER OF GOD

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

In 1 Corinthians 2:4-5 (AMP), Paul writes, “And my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom [using clever rhetoric], but they were delivered in demonstration of the [Holy] Spirit operating through me and of His power [stirring the minds of the listeners and persuading them], so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom and rhetoric of men, but on the power of God.” This clearly shows that authentic Christian faith is not rooted in eloquent speech or philosophical arguments, but in a personal encounter with God's supernatural power.

Jesus commanded His disciples in Matthew 10:8, “Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.” This command was not only for the twelve but for all who believe in Him (Mark 16:17-18). Faith in Christ is confirmed and sustained by the Holy Spirit working through believers in power, not mere intellectual persuasion.

Stephen, though not one of the original apostles, was “full of faith and power, [and] did great wonders and signs among the people” (Acts 6:8). His life illustrates that even those not in official leadership can walk in the supernatural power of God.

Romans 15:18-19 and 1 Thessalonians 1:5 affirm that the Gospel spreads through “mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God.” Let every believer seek this demonstration of God’s power, so that faith may rest not in words, but in a living experience with Christ.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and faith to work in the supernatural.

PRAYER; Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to work miracles.

WHAT TRULY MOVES THE HEART OF GOD

The anointing of God's favour is removing what was meant to bring you shame .
Good -Life Devotional: WHAT TRULY MOVES THE HEART OF GOD
By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi
“The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.” — Psalm 51:17 (AMP)
In today’s world, it’s easy to get swept up in the outward expressions of faith—lively music, heartfelt singing, raised hands, and dramatic worship settings. But while God delights in the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3), He is not moved by performance. What truly stirs the heart of God is a life surrendered—marked by genuine repentance and the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
True worship begins at the altar of the heart. A person may sing powerfully and dance with passion, but if the heart is proud, unrepentant, or hardened by sin, that worship is empty. Isaiah 29:13 echoes this warning:
“This people honors Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me...”
Genuine repentance is more than a moment of emotion—it’s a turning point. It leads to a lifestyle that bears the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22–23). This fruit is the evidence that the Holy Spirit is alive and working in us.
Let us remember:
Worship without obedience is noise.
Praise without purity is hollow.
But a repentant heart, no matter how broken, is always received by God.
Reflection:
Ask yourself—Am I giving God empty praise, or a surrendered life? Is my worship fueled by performance, or by a heart deeply transformed by His Spirit?
PRAYER:
Father, cleanse my heart. Let my worship rise from a place of true repentance and obedience. May my life display the fruit of Your Spirit, that You may be glorified in all I do. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

HOW CAN GOD MAKE SIN THE DEFAULT, WHILE MAKING SALVATION A CHOICE?" ( Part 2)

You shall receive a sevenfold restoration of what was stolen from you because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional; HOW CAN GOD MAKE SIN THE DEFAULT, WHILE MAKING SALVATION A CHOICE?" ( Part 2)

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

3. THE CONTRAST BETWEEN SIN AND SALVATION HIGHLIGHTS GOD’S JUSTICE AND MERCY

Sin being "default" highlights the reality of human brokenness and need for redemption.

Salvation being a choice upholds the principles of justice, grace, and love. God does not override our will but invites us into restoration.

Romans 5:18 says: “So then as through one transgression there resulted condemnation to all men, even so through one act of righteousness there resulted justification of life to all men.”

That’s not unfairness—it’s symmetry: just as sin entered through one man (Adam), salvation comes through one Man (Jesus), and is offered to all.

4. GOD'S SOVEREIGNTY DOES NOT ELIMINATE HUMAN RESPONSIBILITY

Some wrestle with whether God “ordained” sin. The Bible affirms both:

God is sovereign: He is never surprised.

Humans are responsible: We are not robots.

This is seen in Genesis 50:20, where Joseph says: “You meant evil against me, but God meant it for good.” Even sinful choices can be used by God without Him being the author of sin.

5. A LOVING GOD RESPECTS HUMAN WILL

C. S. Lewis once said:

“There are only two kinds of people in the end: those who say to God, ‘Thy will be done,’ and those to whom God says, ‘Thy will be done.’”

God does not force people into heaven or hell. If salvation is a choice, it preserves the dignity of human will. If sin were not the consequence of freedom, then neither would righteousness be the result of love.

In Summary , God didn’t make sin the default; humanity chose rebellion.

Salvation is a freely offered gift, not an imposed outcome.

The contrast between sin and grace magnifies both human need and divine mercy.

God's justice and love work together to offer salvation to all without violating our freedom.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and guidance in our choices .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation.

HOW CAN GOD MAKE SIN THE DEFAULT, WHILE MAKING SALVATION A CHOICE?" ( Part 1)

The appetite for shameful deeds are broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: HOW CAN GOD MAKE SIN THE DEFAULT, WHILE MAKING SALVATION A CHOICE?" ( Part 1)

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

"How can God make sin the default, while making salvation a choice?" It often reflects concerns about fairness, justice, and the nature of God's plan. Here's how this can be approached from a biblical and theological perspective:

1. THE FALL WAS NOT GOD'S DESIGN, BUT HUMANITY'S CHOICE

God did not create sin or design humans to sin. Scripture is clear that:

God made humanity good (Genesis 1:31): “God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good.”

But God also gave humanity free will, and with that freedom came the possibility to rebel.

Sin entered the world through Adam, not through God (Romans 5:12): “Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, so death spread to all men, because all sinned.”

So, sin is not the "default" by God's design—but rather, the consequence of human freedom misused.

2. SALVATION IS A GIFT FREELY OFFERED TO

While we’re born into a fallen world, salvation is not limited. It’s not a narrow gate in terms of access, but in terms of response:

John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

1 Timothy 2:4 – God “desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

Romans 10:13 – “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Salvation is a choice, yes, but it is also a divine invitation given out of grace. It's freely offered, but not automatically imposed, because love doesn’t force itself.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and power to overcome sin .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome sin.

CORRUPTION IS THE PRODUCT OF SELFISHNESS AND SELF-CENTREDNESS

The anointing of God's favour is giving you wisdom to solve complicated problems now.

Good -Life Devotional:

CORRUPTION IS THE PRODUCT OF SELFISHNESS AND SELF-CENTREDNESS

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Selfishness is a lack of love and consideration for the needs of others. It is an inward focus that disregards others’ well-being for personal gain. In Genesis 4:9, Cain’s defiant question, “Am I my brother’s keeper?” reflects the heart of selfishness—disinterest in others’ welfare.

Selfishness is promoted even by those who should lead in righteousness. Ezekiel 33:8, 18, 24, 32 warns of selfish leaders who fail to warn others or live righteously, causing the people to suffer. Many selfish pastors preach for personal gain, not for the salvation of souls, making the Lord’s work suffer (Philippians 2:21).

This self-centered attitude leads to poverty. Proverbs 11:24 says, “There is one who withholds more than is right, but it leads to poverty.” Proverbs 13:7 and 28:27 echo the same truth—stinginess results in lack.

Selfishness lies at the root of most of the world’s evils—wars, hunger, oppression, and misery. It produces bad fruits, as seen in the lives of Eli’s sons (1 Samuel 2:22–25; 3:13), whose selfish indulgence led to their judgment.

Yet selfishness never satisfies. Job 9:4, Job 27:8, Psalm 106:15, Proverbs 27:20, and Ecclesiastes 2:10–11; 1:8 all testify that the selfish man is never content. He gains but is empty, hoards but is poor in spirit.

True fulfillment comes from love, sacrifice, and godly service. Only when selfishness dies can righteousness, peace, and joy truly live.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and a selfless heart towards others .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome corruption.

CHRISTIANS WHO SUPPORT CORRUPTION WILL NOT ENTER HEAVEN

Whoever sets a trap against you shall be caught in it because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: CHRISTIANS WHO SUPPORT CORRUPTION WILL NOT ENTER HEAVEN

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

The Bible strongly warns against corruption and those who support it. In 2 Peter 2:12, corrupt individuals are described as "like unreasoning animals… born to be captured and destroyed." The Greek word translated "perish" here is "phthora", meaning ruin, destruction, or moral decay—indicating total spiritual collapse. Verse 19 adds, “They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity,” showing how corruption enslaves the soul.

1 Corinthians 5:9-13 makes it clear that the wicked—including the sexually immoral, greedy, swindlers, and idolaters—are to be avoided by the church. Christians are called to judge those within the church and not associate with so-called believers who practice such sins.

Corruption doesn’t just stain individual character; it hinders the gospel's progress and fuels Satan’s mission to kill, steal, and destroy (John 10:10). Jesus was clear about the fate of the corrupt in Revelation 21:8: “the cowardly, unbelieving, vile… and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur.”

Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8), and corruption is among them. As followers of Christ, we are called to stand against evil, not accommodate it.

God’s grace, far from excusing corruption, trains believers to reject ungodliness and worldly passions (Titus 2:11–12). Christians must be holy, resisting corruption in every form, lest they forfeit the kingdom of God.

THERE IS NO PLACE IN HEAVEN FOR THOSE WHO SUPPORT WHAT GOD CONDEMNS.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and boldness to resist corruption.

PRAYER : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome corruption.

IF GOD IS ALL-LOVING HOW CAN HE CREATE HELL FIRE

Receive grace to solve complicated problems.

Good -Life Devotional:

IF GOD IS ALL-LOVING HOW CAN HE CREATE HELL FIRE

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Hell is reserved for those who have declared God as their enemy. God is a judge .

1. GOD’S LOVE IS NOT OPPOSED TO JUSTICE

God is love (1 John 4:8)—but He is also holy (Isaiah 6:3) and just (Psalm 89:14). A loving God does not ignore evil. Just as a good judge punishes crime, God must respond to sin. Hell is the just consequence of a person’s freely chosen rejection of God’s offer of salvation. Romans 2:5 (AMP): “But because of your callous stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are [deliberately] storing up wrath for yourself on the day of wrath when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed.”

2. HELL WAS NOT MADE FOR HUMANS

Originally, hell was created for the devil and his angels (Matthew 25:41). But those who willfully reject God align themselves with Satan’s rebellion and thus face the same judgment.

3. GOD RESPECTS HUMAN FREEDOM

Love requires free will. God does not force anyone to love Him or accept His grace. Hell is, in a sense, the eternal result of a person saying, “I don’t want God.” C.S. Lewis said, “The doors of hell are locked from the inside.”

2 Peter 3:9 (AMP): “The Lord...is not wanting anyone to perish, but for everyone to come to repentance.”

God gives people every chance to choose life—but He will not violate their freedom.

4. HELL MAGNIFIES THE BEAUTY OF SALVATION

Without a true alternative, the message of the Cross loses urgency. Jesus went through hell on the Cross to save us from it. The existence of hell shows the depth of Christ’s sacrifice and the seriousness of sin.

Summary:

Hell is not incompatible with God’s love—it’s actually a tragic expression of human freedom in rejecting that love. God doesn’t want anyone to go there, which is why He gave His Son to make a way out.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and wisdom to live in righteousness.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation.

WHEN WICKEDNESS IS NOT SPEEDILY PUNISHED

The evil verdict against you shall be overturned because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: WHEN WICKEDNESS IS NOT SPEEDILY PUNISHED

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

“Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.” – Ecclesiastes 8:11 (AMP)

When evil is not swiftly addressed, wickedness increases. This truth is evident in society today. Ecclesiastes 8:11 reveals that delayed judgment emboldens sinners. Peter exemplified divine justice in Acts 5 when Ananias and Sapphira died instantly after lying to the Holy Spirit. Likewise, Paul pronounced judgment in 1 Corinthians 5, handing an immoral man to Satan for the destruction of his flesh. In Acts 13:7–11, Paul rebuked Elymas the sorcerer, who was struck with blindness for opposing the gospel.

God has positioned believers as salt and light (Matthew 5:13–16), spiritual enforcers of righteousness wherever they are. When Christians fail to pray judgmental prayers against unrepentant evil, darkness flourishes. Prayers like David's in Psalm 7:9 or imprecatory declarations (Psalm 94:1–2) are biblical when led by the Spirit and rooted in God's justice. This neglect has allowed corruption to infiltrate even the church.

The church should teach the fear of God (Ecclesiastes 12:13), but many modern preachers promote a grace that permits sin. This is a distortion. True grace, according to Titus 2:11–12, teaches believers to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts. Hebrews 10:26–27 warns of judgment for willful sin, and Romans 1:18 declares that God’s wrath is revealed against all unrighteousness.

It is time for the church to uphold righteousness, confront sin, and be vessels of God's holy justice in a corrupt world.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and boldness to execute God's judgement on every wickedness.

PRAYER : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to exercute divine judgement.

CONCLUSION: KINGDOM ETHICS OVER EMPIRE POWER

Doors are being opened for you in relevant places because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: IMPERIALISM AND NEO-COLONIALISM : A BIBLICAL PERSPECTIVE (PART 2)

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

3. DIGNITY OF ALL PEOPLES

Every person is made in God's image (Genesis 1:27), and this includes every ethnicity, culture, and nation.

Acts 17:26: "From one man He made every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth."

No nation or culture is inherently superior; therefore, the mindset behind colonial domination contradicts biblical anthropology.

4. JESUS’ MODEL OF POWER

Jesus rejected worldly power and conquest. His kingdom is not of this world (John 18:36), and He came not to be served but to serve (Mark 10:45).

Philippians 2:6-8: Jesus, though divine, humbled Himself.

Luke 4:18-19: His mission was to proclaim good news to the poor and freedom for the oppressed.

Christian mission, therefore, must never mirror imperialistic attitudes, but follow Christ’s humility, self-giving, and respect for local cultures.

5. THE EARLY CHURCH AND CULTURAL RESPECT

Paul and the apostles preached Christ while respecting cultural boundaries (Acts 17:22–31). Conversion to Christ didn’t require adoption of Roman or Jewish culture.

This stands in contrast to the cultural imperialism that often accompanied colonial missions—where Christianity was wrongly fused with Western dominance.

6. STEWARDSHIP, NOT EXPLOITATION

Genesis 1:28; 2:15: Humanity is called to steward the earth, not to exploit it for selfish gain.

Micah 6:8: "What does the Lord require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?"

Neo-colonial structures that extract wealth from poor nations while giving little in return violate this principle.

CONCLUSION: KINGDOM ETHICS OVER EMPIRE POWER

Imperialism and neo-colonialism stand in contrast to the ethics of God’s kingdom: justice, humility, service, and the valuing of all people. Christians are called to resist systems of oppression, support the liberation of the marginalized, and embody the self-sacrificial love of Christ in every sphere—including global economics and politics.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and destruction of structures of political oppression and exploitation in our countries .

PRAYER; Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome oppression.

IMPERIALISM AND NEO-COLONIALISM: A BIBLICAL PERSPECTIVE (Part 1)

The yoke of oppression is being broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you

Good -Life Devotional:

IMPERIALISM AND NEO-COLONIALISM: A BIBLICAL PERSPECTIVE (Part 1)

Definitions

IMPERIALISM: The policy of extending a nation’s authority by territorial acquisition or by establishing economic and political dominance over other nations.

NEO-COLONIALISM: The practice of using economic, cultural, or political pressures to control or influence a country, especially former colonies, without direct political rule.

1. GOD'S VIEW OF POWER AND NATIONS

The Bible acknowledges the existence of nations and rulers, but it places all authority under God's sovereign rule.

Daniel 2:21 (AMP): "He removes kings and establishes kings."

Psalm 22:28: "For the kingship and the kingdom are the Lord’s and He rules over the nations."

Earthly empires rise and fall, but God's kingdom is supreme and eternal. Any imperial ambition that disregards God's justice, mercy, and the dignity of people is ultimately self-destructive.

2. JUSTICE AND OPPRESSION

The Bible consistently condemns injustice, exploitation, and oppression:

Isaiah 10:1-2 (AMP): "Woe (judgment is coming) to those who enact unjust statutes... so as to deprive the needy of justice and rob the poor of My people of their rights."

Amos 5:24: "But let justice roll down like waters and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream."

Imperialism and neo-colonialism often thrive through the exploitation of weaker nations’ resources and labor—something God opposes.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite and the establishment of ethical government in our nations .

PRAYERS:: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to resist oppression.

TURN THE CURSE TO A BLESSING

The curse shall be turned into a blessing because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: TURN THE CURSE TO A BLESSING

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

"Turn the curse to a blessing" is a powerful concept, and it actually reflects a strong biblical theme. Scripture shows again and again that God can transform what was meant for harm into good.

For example:

Deuteronomy 23:5 (AMP) says:

"Nevertheless, the Lord your God was not willing to listen to Balaam, but the Lord your God turned the curse into a blessing for you because the Lord your God loves you."

Genesis 50:20 (Joseph speaking to his brothers who betrayed him):

"As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present outcome, that many people would be kept alive."

Romans 8:28 (New Testament confirmation):

"And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose."

The principle is:

Even when life (or enemies, or circumstances) bring a curse—pain, setback, or destruction—God, through His sovereign power and love, can reverse it and bring blessing, growth, and redemption.

Declare God's blessings upon you and your family on a daily basis to eliminate the fear of the curse . The scripture says in Ephesians 1:3 Ephesians 1:3 ]Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:" You have all of God's blessings in you right now, therefore, bodily declare , "I am blessed"

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and wisdom to appropriate his blessing in our lives .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power for creativity.

WHISPERING DURING PREACHING AND IT'S CONSEQUENCES

You are far from witchcraft manipulations because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: WHISPERING DURING PREACHING AND IT'S CONSEQUENCES

Romans 1:29, which says (Amplified Bible):

"...they were filled (permeated, saturated) with every kind of unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice and mean-spiritedness. They are gossips (spreading rumors),"

Whispering during preaching — especially if it distracts or disrupts the Word of God being delivered — can be connected to strife, deceit, malice, and gossip (depending on the intent).

While whispering may seem small, spiritually, it can be an expression of a deeper disrespect for God's Word.

Here are consequences and judgment of such behavior, biblically:

1. IT SHOWS CONTEMPT FOR GOD'S WORD

Proverbs 13:13 (AMP)

"Whoever despises the word and counsel [of God] brings destruction upon himself, but he who reverently fears and respects the commandment [of God] will be rewarded."

Whispering while the Word is being preached shows a light, casual attitude toward the sacredness of the moment. This contempt can bring personal destruction.

2. IT SOWS DISCORD, WHICH GOD HATES

Proverbs 6:16–19 (AMP)

"These six things the Lord hates; indeed, seven are repulsive to Him: [...] A false witness who breathes out lies [even half-truths], and one who spreads discord (rumors) among brothers."

Whispering and distracting others can cause division, misunderstanding, or pull someone else's attention away from God's voice. This is detestable to God.

3. IT HINDERS FAITH COMING BY HEARING

Romans 10:17 (AMP)

"So faith comes from hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the [preaching of the] message concerning Christ."

If people are distracted by whispers, they miss the hearing that feeds faith. Disrupting that process could be seen as spiritually sabotaging another person's faith growth.

4. IT INVITES GOD'S DISCIPLINE

Hebrews 12:25 (AMP)

"See to it that you do not refuse to listen to Him who is speaking [now]. For if those [sons of Israel] did not escape when they refused to listen to him who warned them on earth [revealing God's will], how much less will we escape if we turn our backs on Him who warns from heaven?"

If we don't respect the Word when it is being delivered, discipline — either spiritually, emotionally, or circumstantially — can come.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and a learning spirit open to correction .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome witchcraft.

SETTING SPIRITUAL GOALS FOR A CHILD’S DEVELOPMENT IN CHRIST

The anointing of God's favour is connecting you with the facilitators of your divine dreams for Breakthroughs.

Good-Life Devotional:

SETTING SPIRITUAL GOALS FOR A CHILD’S DEVELOPMENT IN CHRIST

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Spiritual formation in children begins with intentional guidance. As 2 Timothy 1:5 (AMP) says, “I remember your sincere and unqualified faith...which first lived in the heart of your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am confident that it is in you as well.” This verse highlights how sincere faith can be passed down through generations by godly influence and example. Likewsie infidelity through an ongodlly influence.

To help a child grow in Christ, spiritual goals should be set across five key areas: worship, discipleship, fellowship, evangelism, and ministry.

In WORSHIP, encourage children to develop a personal relationship with God through daily prayer and praise. A simple goal may be to start each day thanking God and singing a worship song.

In DISCIPLESHIP, help them read and understand Scripture. Set goals such as memorizing a verse each week or completing a child-friendly devotional with a parent.

In FELLOWSHIP, teach the value of Christian community. Goals might include attending Sunday school, participating in youth group, or writing encouraging notes to friends.

In EVANGELISM, children can be taught to share God’s love. A goal could be inviting a friend to church or learning to share their testimony in a simple way.

Finally, in MINISTRY, guide them to serve others. This could be helping with chores at home with a joyful heart or participating in a church outreach event.

These goals plant seeds of lifelong faith, helping children grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and zeal for divine service .

PRAYER; Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to preach the gospel with signs and wonders .

SETTING SPIRITUAL GOALS FOR A CHILD’S DEVELOPMENT IN CHRIST

What was meant to pull you down will become a ladder for your promotion because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

SETTING SPIRITUAL GOALS FOR A CHILD’S DEVELOPMENT IN CHRIST

I started preaching at 18 while in my year in the secondary school at the Nigerian Navy Secondary School Ojo , Lagos State in 1988. My spiritual Father Bishop  Hartford Anayo Illoputaife taught us about the importance of setting spiritual goals for spiritual growth. This has stuck with me till date .

Spiritual growth in children doesn't happen by accident; it requires intentional guidance rooted in Scripture and modeled by parents and mentors. One of the most powerful biblical examples of generational faith is found in 2 Timothy 1:5 (AMP), where Paul writes, “I remember your sincere and unqualified faith [the surrendering of your entire self to God in Christ with confident trust in His power, wisdom, and goodness], a faith which first lived in the heart of your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am confident that it is in you as well.” This verse reminds us that spiritual legacy is both taught and caught.

Setting spiritual goals for a child's development begins with cultivating an environment where faith is not only spoken about but demonstrated daily. Start with foundational goals: teaching children to pray, read the Bible, and understand who Jesus is. As they grow, encourage deeper disciplines like Scripture memorization, acts of service, and learning to discern God’s voice.

Set goals that are age-appropriate, attainable, and Christ-centered. For example, a goal for a young child may be to memorize Psalm 23, while an older child may commit to reading a Gospel or serving regularly in church. Celebrate progress, not perfection.

Ultimately, the goal is not just behavior modification, but heart transformation—a growing relationship with Jesus. Just as Timothy’s faith was nurtured by faithful women in his life, so too can children today grow strong in the Lord through intentional, prayerful spiritual goal-setting and loving discipleship.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and stronger family bonds .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to heal broken homes .

RAISING CHILDREN WITHOUT SPIRITUAL GOALS BREEDS REBELLION

The anointing of God's favour is restoring hope in that hopeless situation .

Good -Life Devotional: RAISING CHILDREN WITHOUT SPIRITUAL GOALS BREEDS REBELLION

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Proverbs 29:18 (AMP) says, “Where there is no vision [no revelation of God and His word], the people are unrestrained.” Today, many Christian parents raise their children with goals centered on academic success and career achievement. While these are important, they are not eternal. Hannah, however, understood God's purpose for her son. When she handed young Samuel to Eli (1 Samuel 1:27-28), her aim was not just a good life, but a life led by the Holy Spirit. By age twelve, Samuel was hearing from God directly (1 Samuel 3:1-10).

In contrast, modern Christian homes often lack this spiritual intentionality. Ephesians 2:2 describes a world governed by “the prince of the power of the air”—Satan’s influence over systems and culture. Children raised without spiritual discipline become nominal Christians, led more by trends than truth. Their disinterest in God’s Word, their “itching ears” (2 Timothy 4:3), leaves them spiritually defenseless, vulnerable to failed relationships and broken homes.

Jesus clearly states our mission in John 15:16: “You did not choose Me but I chose you and appointed you that you might go and bear fruit...” Paul echoes this to Timothy: “Do the work of an evangelist” (2 Timothy 4:5). Evangelism is not optional; it’s the fruit of true discipleship.

Parents who neglect evangelism model a powerless Christianity. Deuteronomy 6:6-7 instructs us to teach God's Word diligently to our children. If we don’t set eternal goals, the world will set carnal ones—and rebellion will follow.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and openness to discipline.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to build a godly family.

GOOD GOVERNANCE IN A NATION STARTS FROM THE FAMILY

Your family shall not fall apart but wax strong in love and honour because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good-Life Devotional: GOOD GOVERNANCE IN A NATION STARTS FROM THE FAMILY

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Good governance does not begin in government halls—it begins at home. A family is the first unit of leadership, and how it functions directly influences how a nation operates. Scripture emphasizes that a leader must “manage his own household well, keeping his children under control with dignity” (1 Timothy 3:4 AMP). Titus 2:7 also instructs us to “show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works.” When children observe integrity, humility, and love in their parents, they imitate these virtues. Conversely, children raised by disrespectful or rebellious parents often reflect the same behavior, leading to broken homes and, ultimately, broken societies.

Sadly, many adults continue cycles of dishonor—disrespecting their own parents, spouses, and children. Such patterns weaken the moral fiber of families and ripple into the nation. Scripture warns us about this: “Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right” (Ephesians 6:1), and “Honor your father and your mother” (Exodus 20:12).

Good governance also requires discernment in relationships. 1 Corinthians 5:11 commands believers to avoid those who call themselves Christians yet live immorally. 2 Thessalonians 3:6 warns against associating with believers who walk in disobedience to God’s Word. Additionally, 1 Corinthians 15:33 reminds us, “Do not be misled: ‘Bad company corrupts good character.’”

Families must therefore guide members—especially children—in choosing righteous companions (Proverbs 13:20), cultivating fear of the Lord (Proverbs 1:7), and walking in truth (3 John 1:4). A nation’s strength lies in the character built at home.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and good governance in our families.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to raise a godly family.

EXCEPT YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS EXCEEDS THAT OF THE RELIGIOUS YOU CANNOT ENTER HEAVEN

The curse of poverty and stagnation is broken in your family because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: EXCEPT YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS EXCEEDS THAT OF THE RELIGIOUS YOU CANNOT ENTER HEAVEN

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

In Matthew 5:20, Jesus declares, "For I say to you that unless your righteousness (uprightness, moral essence) is more than that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." This statement shakes the foundation of religion-based righteousness. The scribes and Pharisees epitomized religious rigor, yet Jesus revealed that external compliance cannot secure eternal life.

There exists a form of righteousness rooted in religious performance—rules, rituals, and self-effort—that places the burden of salvation on man. But this cannot cleanse the conscience (Hebrews 9:14) or grant assurance of heaven. If it could, there would be no need for continuous striving for holiness through human effort (Titus 3:5). The righteousness God accepts is not earned, but received by grace through faith.

This was exemplified by the thief on the cross. With no time for religious duties, he simply acknowledged Jesus as Lord (Luke 23:42-43). Jesus responded, "Today you shall be with Me in Paradise." This man was justified through Christ’s vicarious atonement—without religion, but by grace. He was made righteous before he entered heaven.

Philippians 3:9 underscores this truth: “And be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ...” Romans 3:22 affirms that this righteousness is given through faith in Jesus to all who believe.

True righteousness is a gift (Romans 5:17), not a human achievement. Only this righteousness surpasses that of the religious—and only this leads to heaven.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and fruits of righteousness .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for our salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome sin.

EXCLAMATORY REMARKS EXPRESSING STRONG EMOTIONS AND POWER BY GOD .

The anointing of God's favour upon you is opening doors for extraordinary financial help for you

Good-Life Devotional:

EXCLAMATORY REMARKS EXPRESSING STRONG EMOTIONS AND POWER BY GOD .

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Here are some examples in the Bible where God makes exclamatory statements—powerful declarations often marked by strong emotion, divine authority, or rhetorical force:

1. "Let there be light!"

Genesis 1:3 (AMP)

"And God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light."

An emphatic command launching creation itself—an exclamation of power.

2. "Who told you that you were naked?"

Genesis 3:11 (AMP)

"And He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?"

A divine interrogation filled with grief, righteous confrontation,  often mistaken as surprise but an all-knowing and all-present God cannot be surprised by anything  .It is a judicial statement of righteous judgement.

3. "What have you done?"

Genesis 4:10 (AMP)

"The voice of your brother’s [innocent] blood is crying out to Me from the ground!"

A solemn cry of divine justice after Cain kills Abel. This is also mistaken as ignorance by God . An all-knowing God should not be requesting details of an event . He already knew what happened, However, divine justice demands Cain defend his actions .

4. "Is anything too difficult for the Lord?"

Genesis 18:14 (AMP)

"At the appointed time, when the season comes, I will return to you, and Sarah will have a son."

God challenges human doubt with a rhetorical exclamation affirming His omnipotence.

5. "How long will these people treat Me disrespectfully?"

Numbers 14:11 (AMP)

A frustrated cry from God about Israel’s rebellion.

6. "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?"

Matthew 27:46 (AMP)

"About the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice... 'My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?’”

A cry of anguish, echoing Psalm 22, capturing the weight of sin , frustration of man's senseless rejection of God like Eve did in the garden of Eden. This is often misinterpreted as the separation of the Father from the son ( See topic on The Father is inseparable from the Son and the Holy Spirit)

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and commitment to live righteously.

GOD THE FATHER IS INSEPARABLE FROM THE SON AND THE SPIRIT

You shall not be disgraced because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

GOD THE FATHER IS INSEPARABLE FROM THE SON AND THE SPIRIT

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

The Christian doctrine of the Trinity reveals that God is one in essence and three in persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This unity means the Father is inseparable from the Son and the Spirit, each fully and eternally God, working in perfect harmony. Though distinct in personhood, they share the same divine nature and purpose.

Jesus declared this unity plainly: “I and the Father are one” (John 10:30, AMP). His words emphasize not only agreement but shared divine essence. Again, in John 14:9, Jesus says, “He who has seen Me has seen the Father.” This reveals the inseparable nature of their relationship—one cannot truly know the  Father without knowing the Son , just like the Sun and sunrays. God likens himself to the sun in Psalm 84:11. Picture this God as Sun Father , Sunrays (son ), Heat energy from the sun (Spirit)

The Holy Spirit, too, is fully united with the Father and the Son. Jesus promised the Spirit as “another Comforter (Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby)” (John 14:16, AMP), indicating continuity and divine unity. The Spirit proceeds from the Father (John 15:26) and glorifies the Son (John 16:14), never acting independently of the Godhead.

Paul affirms this unity in salvation: “There is one body and one Spirit... one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of us all” (Ephesians 4:4–6). Each Person of the Trinity participates in creation, redemption, and the believer’s transformation.

Thus, the Father is never without the Son and the Spirit. To encounter the work of one is to witness the unified love, will, and glory of all three. This inseparable bond is the foundation of Christian faith and the revelation of God's nature.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and sensitivity to his Holy Spirit.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation.

GOD PRAYING TO GOD : A BIBLICAL PERSPECTIVE ( PART 2)

Dead  hopes and dreams of your prosperity are being resurrected because of the anointing of God's favour upon you..

Good -Life Devotional  : GOD PRAYING TO GOD : A BIBLICAL PERSPECTIVE ( PART 2)

 3. APOLOGETIC EXPLANATION: The Two Natures of Christ

The doctrine of the Hypostatic Union explains that Jesus is fully God and fully man, united in one person. This means:

As God, Jesus shares the divine nature with the Father and the Holy Spirit.

As man, Jesus possesses a human nature, including a human will and mind, which naturally would pray to God the Father.

So, when Jesus prays, He is doing so from His human nature, not because He is a lesser god or separate deity.

Hebrews 5:7 (AMP): “In the days of His earthly life, Jesus offered up both specific petitions and urgent supplications…”

This shows His authentic human experience.

4. TRINITARIAN THEOLOGY: NOT MODALISM, NOT POLYTHEISM

Christianity teaches one God in three persons:

Father – the source and sustainer

Son – the eternal Word made flesh

Holy Spirit – the presence and power of God active in the world

Jesus praying to the Father is intra-Trinitarian communication, not self-talk. It reflects distinct personhood within the Trinity, not division of being. Humans also manifest this tendency in the communication between our spirits with our souls and bodies , yet we are one person. As you read this now , there is a voice speaking inside you despite the fact that your physical mouth is shut . Who or what is that person ? Is he or she different from the physical person we see of you. ?

5. EARLY CHURCH THOUGHT:

Athanasius (4th century) emphasized that Jesus is "God from God" yet "for our sake became man."

The Council of Chalcedon (451 AD) clarified that Christ is one person in two natures—divine and human—without confusion or separation.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and awareness of the Holy Spirit in us .

GOD PRAYING TO GOD : A BIBLICAL PERSPECTIVE ( Part 1)

The anointing of God's favour is rebuilding the broken pieces of your life and making a masterpiece.

Good -Life Devotional: GOD PRAYING TO GOD : A BIBLICAL PERSPECTIVE ( Part 1)

Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

GOD PRAYED TO GOD . A BIBLICAL PERSPECTIVE

The question of "God praying to God" in Jesus Christ often arises from a genuine curiosity or confusion about the nature of Jesus and the Trinity. This is a critical topic in Christian apologetics and touches on the mystery of the Incarnation and Trinitarian theology. Let’s unpack it in a way that addresses objections, clarifies theology, and affirms biblical truth.

1. THE COMMON OBJECTION:

"If Jesus is God, why does He pray? Isn’t that God talking to Himself?"

This question is often used to challenge the deity of Christ or the coherence of the Trinity. But this assumes a misunderstanding of both the nature of God and of the Incarnation.

2. THE BIBLICAL FRAMEWORK: JESUS PRAYED

Luke 5:16 (AMP): "But Jesus Himself would often slip away to the wilderness and pray [in seclusion]."

John 17:1-5 (AMP): In His high priestly prayer, Jesus says, “Father, the hour has come; glorify Your Son, so that Your Son may glorify You…”

Matthew 26:39 (Gethsemane): "My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me..."

These Are Clear Depictions Of Jesus praying to the father.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and revelation of his Spirit .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome sin.

WHY JESUS' CHRIST, GOD, HAD TO COME IN HUMAN FORM TO SAVE HUMANITY

Doors are being opened for you in high places for your breakthroughs by the anointing of God's favour upon you.

THE EASTER STORY (PART 2)

WHY JESUS' CHRIST, GOD, HAD TO COME IN HUMAN FORM TO SAVE HUMANITY

 By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

3. THE NECESSITY OF THE INCARNATION

Jesus’ incarnation fulfilled God’s promise of salvation. The Word becoming flesh allowed Him to live as a human, experience human weakness, and become the perfect sacrifice for sin.

The Bible says : “And the Word (Christ) became flesh, and lived among us; and we [actually] saw His glory, glory as belongs to the [One and] only begotten Son of the Father, [the Son who is truly unique, the only One of His kind,] who is full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14, AMP)

4. ONLY A SINLESS SACRIFICE COULD ATONE FOR SIN

Animal sacrifices under the Old Testament were insufficient to take away sin permanently. Jesus’ perfect life qualified Him to be the ultimate sacrifice.

The Bible says   “For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. … we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.” (Hebrews 10:4, 10, AMP)

5. TO DEFEAT DEATH AND RESTORE LIFE

Sin brought death into the world, and only Jesus could defeat death by rising again. His resurrection secured eternal life for believers.

The Bible says

“Since [therefore these His] children share in flesh and blood [the physical nature of mankind], He Himself [in a similar manner] also shared in the same [physical nature, but without sin], so that through [experiencing] death He might make powerless (ineffective, impotent) him who had the power of death—that is, the devil.” (Hebrews 2:14, AMP)

6. GOD’S LOVE COMPELLED HIM TO COME

The ultimate reason for the incarnation is God’s love for humanity. He desired to save us and restore us to a relationship with Him.

The Bible says   “For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:16, AMP)

In summary, Jesus Christ had to come in human form because only He could meet the divine requirements for justice and mercy. His incarnation, death, and resurrection accomplished what humanity could not achieve on its own—reconciliation with God. By becoming fully human while remaining fully God, Jesus bridged the gap between a holy God and sinful humanity, offering salvation to all who believe in Him.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and boldness to preach the gospel.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation.

WHY JESUS CHRIST, GOD, HAD TO COME IN HUMAN FORM TO SAVE HUMANITY

The yoke of your debt burdens is being broken now because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: THE EASTER STORY :  ( PART 1)

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

WHY JESUS CHRIST, GOD, HAD TO COME IN HUMAN FORM TO SAVE HUMANITY

The necessity of Jesus Christ coming in human form to save humanity is central to the Christian faith. The Bible offers numerous reasons why God chose to take on flesh, which are grounded in His justice, love, and plan of redemption. Below is an apologetic argument with key Bible verses to explain this profound truth.

1. GOD'S JUSTICE REQUIRES A PERFECT SUBSTITUTE

Humanity sinned, and the penalty for sin is death (Romans 6:23). Since God is perfectly just, sin had to be punished.

Only a human could stand in place of humanity, but no mere human was sinless. Jesus, being fully God and fully man, was the only one capable of fulfilling this role.

The Bible says  “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God [that is, His remarkable, overwhelming gift of grace to believers] is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23, AMP)

“He made Christ who knew no sin to [judicially] be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we would become the righteousness of God.” (2 Corinthians 5:21, AMP

2. GOD’S PROMISE OF A MEDIATOR

Humanity needed someone who could mediate between a holy God and sinful people. Jesus, as God in human form, became that mediator.

The Bible says  “For there is [only] one God, and [only] one Mediator between God and mankind, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom [a substitutionary sacrifice] for all, the testimony given at the right and proper time.” (1 Timothy 2:5-6, AMP)

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and a boldness to preach the gospel.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to preach the gospel.

MONEY LAUNDERING ;A POTENT DESTROYER OF THE CHURCH AND NATION ( PART 3)

The anointing of God's favour is turning your disappointments into testimonies of Breakthroughs and wisdom.

Good -Life Devotional: MONEY LAUNDERING ;A POTENT DESTROYER OF THE CHURCH AND NATION ( PART 3)

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

A preacher was accused of using fake church crusades overseas to launder money for a former minister of Petroleum in Nigeria. Another was accused of using his private jet to carry money out of the country . Digital currencies are being used to transfer money in and out of Nigeria in money laundering schemes .

Here are some of the damaging effects of these schemes to the church and nation .

  5 .DAMAGED REPUTATION

Effect: Nations known for laundering attract global sanctions and lose trust in international relations.

Verse: “A good name is more desirable than great riches.” – Proverbs 22:1 (AMP)

Insight: A nation’s good name can be lost through corruption, affecting trade and diplomacy.

6. POVERTY AND INEQUALITY

Effect: Corruption through laundering diverts resources from the poor to the wealthy elite.

Verse: “Woe to those who make unjust laws… to deprive the poor of their rights.” – Isaiah 10:1-2 (AMP)

Insight: Economic injustice provokes God's judgment and damages national harmony.

7. MORAL CORRUPTION

Effect: Normalizing illegal wealth undermines national ethics and values.

Verse: “For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil.” – 1 Timothy 6:10 (AMP)

Insight: Greed and dishonest gain corrupt the soul of a nation.

8. POLITICAL INSTABILITY

Effect: Illicit financial power undermines fair elections and governance.

Verse: “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when a wicked man rules, the people groan.” – Proverbs 29:2 (AMP)

Insight: Money laundering can elevate corrupt leaders, leading to national suffering.

9. WEAK FINANCIAL SYSTEMS

Effect: It leads to distorted credit systems, harming banks and investors.

Verse: “Better is a little with righteousness than great income with injustice.” – Proverbs 16:8 (AMP)

Insight: God favors clean wealth over abundance gained through corruption.

10. DIVINE JUDGMENT

Effect: Nations that allow sin and injustice face God's disfavor.

Verse: “Righteousness [moral and spiritual integrity] exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.” – Proverbs 14:34 (AMP)

Insight: Continued tolerance of laundering and corruption invites God’s judgment on a nation.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and good governance.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome greed.

MONEY LAUNDERING; A POTENT DESTROYER OF THE CHURCH AND NATION (PART 2)

You shall continue to flourish regardless of the economy because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: MONEY LAUNDERING; A POTENT DESTROYER OF THE CHURCH AND NATION (PART 2)

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

A young man who works offshore in the Petroleum industry and an acquaintance said he needed prayers  to bring in $56 million dollars in to Nigeria , he said it was proceed of an oil deal in the middle east . I told him to go to the central bank if his transactions were legitimate. Two years later I saw him looking very ill and skinny , I asked what happened and he said he had been in prison  for money laundering and the money was confiscated and he also lost his cars and other  landed  property as well .

Some of the evil effects of money laundering include:

2. INCREASED CRIME

Effect: It fuels organized crime by allowing illegal gains to be concealed and reinvested.

Verse: “The wicked earns deceptive wages, but he who sows righteousness will have a true reward.” – Proverbs 11:18 (AMP)

Insight: Ill-gotten gains perpetuate wickedness and violence, affecting the moral health of a nation.

3. EROSION OF RULE OF LAW

Effect: Corruption and bribery often accompany money laundering, weakening judicial and law enforcement institutions.

Verse: “You shall not pervert justice... You shall not take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise.” – Deuteronomy 16:19 (AMP)

Insight: Bribery undermines justice, leading to lawlessness and national moral decay.

4. LOSS OF GOVERNMENT REVENUE

Effect: Laundered money evades taxes, reducing funds for public services.

Verse: “Give to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” – Matthew 22:21 (AMP)

Insight: Evading lawful taxes disrespects governance and hinders national development.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and strength to resist greed .

MONEY LAUNDERING: A POTENT DESTROYER OF THE CHURCH AND NATION ( PART 1)

You shall not be stranded and confused because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good-Life Devotional: MONEY LAUNDERING: A POTENT DESTROYER OF THE CHURCH  AND NATION ( PART 1)

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Money laundering is the illegal process of making large amounts of money generated by a criminal activity—such as drug trafficking, crude oil thefts and export , corruption, or fraud—appear to be earned legitimately. In simple terms, it's how "dirty" money is cleaned to look "clean."

The process typically happens in three main stages:

PLACEMENT: Introducing the illegal money into the financial system (e.g., depositing cash into banks, using it to buy assets).

LAYERING: Moving the money around to make it harder to trace (e.g., wire transfers, shell companies, offshore accounts).

INTEGRATION: Reintroducing the "cleaned" money into the economy as if it came from a legal source (e.g., investments, businesses, real estate).

Money laundering is a serious crime in most countries and is often tied to organized crime and terrorism financing.

Here are some  effects of money laundering on a nation, with Bible verses that align spiritually or morally with the impact of these effects:

1. ECONOMIC INSTABILITY

Effect: Money laundering distorts economic data, weakens financial institutions, and deters honest investment.

Verse: “Dishonest scales are an abomination to the Lord, but a just weight is His delight.” – Proverbs 11:1 (AMP)

Insight: God values economic honesty and integrity. Money laundering undermines this, causing national instability and poverty amongst Christians .

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and deliverance from greed .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome greed.

SINGING GOD’S PRAISE IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR OBEDIENCE

You shall recover that which was lost in sevenfold because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good-Life Devotional;

SINGING GOD’S PRAISE IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR OBEDIENCE

Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Singing praises to God is a beautiful act of worship, but it cannot replace a life of obedience. Psalm 78 recounts the history of Israel’s disobedience despite God’s constant faithfulness. Verse 36-37 (AMP) says, “But they flattered Him with their mouths and lied to Him with their tongues. For their heart was not steadfast toward Him, nor were they faithful in His covenant.” Though they may have spoken or sung words of devotion, their hearts were far from God.

True worship goes beyond lip service—it demands a surrendered life. In 1 Samuel 15:22, the prophet Samuel tells Saul, “Has the LORD as great a delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obedience to the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice…” This emphasizes that rituals or outward expressions, no matter how sincere they may appear, are empty without obedience.

Jesus reinforced this truth in Luke 6:46, “Why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not practice what I tell you?” Singing praises while ignoring God’s commands is a form of hypocrisy. God desires hearts that not only sing but also submit.

James 1:22 instructs believers to “be doers of the word, and not merely listeners [or singers] who delude themselves.” Our praise must be backed by action—living in alignment with God’s will.

Nigeria boasts of some of the finest worshippers but is bedeviled with a culture of corruption because of the activities of false prophets who teach that praise worship causes God to overlook a person's sin. Repentance is a must for prosperity as a nation (see. Prov 28;13 ) Sin results in multidimensional hardship emotionally, spiritually and physically.

Worship in song must be matched by worship in lifestyle. Obedience is the melody that gives our praise harmony before God.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and a fully repentant heart.

PRAYER; Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to live in righteousness.

FALSE PROPHETS: THE SPIRITUAL FOUNDATION OF BAD GOVERNANCE

The anointing of God's favour upon you will make a way of escape for you from terror.

Good -Life Devotional: FALSE PROPHETS: THE SPIRITUAL FOUNDATION OF BAD GOVERNANCE

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

The Bible reveals that behind corrupt leadership often lie corrupt spiritual influences. In 1 Kings 22:1–25, we see a vivid example where a lying spirit from the Lord entices King Ahab through false prophets to pursue a war that would lead to his destruction. These prophets, influenced by demonic forces, gave Ahab a false sense of victory, creating hope where there was none. Likewise today, bad governance is often upheld by false spiritual voices—prophets who speak peace when destruction is near, and calm the oppressed with lies.

These false prophets receive bribes, positions, and favor in exchange for soothing the conscience of the wicked, rather than speaking truth to power. Yet, the role of God’s true people is different. Like Micaiah, we are to stand firm and declare the word of the Lord, even when it is unpopular or dangerous. Micaiah stood alone, yet he was right. He exposed the deception, even though it cost him his freedom.

God promises judgment for false prophets like Zedekiah, whose name and influence will fade into oblivion. Psalm 37:38-40 assures us that the wicked will be cut off, but the righteous who trust in God will be delivered. In times of injustice and bad governance, believers are called to be prophetic voices, not silent bystanders. The Lord is our strength in trouble, and He will save those who trust in Him from the hand of the wicked. Let us be found faithful.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and boldness to stand up for truth regardless of the consequences.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome evil.

THE PROPHETIC EXTORTIONER IS IN DANGER OF HELL FIRE

You shall not fall victim to the swindler because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: THE PROPHETIC EXTORTIONER IS IN DANGER OF HELL FIRE

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

The modern-day prophetic extortioner—those who claim divine authority to demand money in exchange for miracles—is in grave danger of hell fire. Scripture stands firmly against this deception. 1 Corinthians 5:11 warns us not to associate with anyone who is "a swindler or greedy person," even if they call themselves a brother. These false prophets scheme through lies, demanding offerings for "grace," yet the Bible declares grace cannot be bought.

1 Peter 1:18 clearly says we were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold. Redemption is through the precious blood of Christ, not through financial transactions. Ephesians 4:7 adds that grace is freely and immeasurably given to every believer—no payment required.

Such deceivers may prophesy, cast out demons, and perform miracles, but Matthew 7:21-22 assures us they will not enter the kingdom of heaven because they practice lawlessness. God's gifts are not for sale.

Jesus commanded, “Freely you have received; freely give” (Matthew 10:8). True ministry is not for hire. Isaiah 45:13 confirms God’s servants are to work “without price or reward.”

To sell grace is to mock the cross. Let the Church beware: the prophetic extortioner is storing up wrath, not riches.

The next time you are in a church meeting and you are told God wants to bless some people who will give a certain amount of money to the preacher , stand up and walk away from there .

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and boldness to speak against corruption.

PRAYER; Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome corruption.

In John 20:23 (AMP), Jesus tells His disciples, "If you forgive the sins of anyone, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of anyone, they are retained." Similarly, Matthew 18:18-19 affirms the power of binding and loosing on earth in agreement with heaven. This authority, however, is not arbitrary but exercised under the direction of the Holy Spirit to uphold righteousness and order.

A practical example is seen in 1 Corinthians 5:1–6, where Paul instructs the church to discipline a man involved in gross sexual immorality. The goal was not condemnation but restoration through godly sorrow. Paul later refers to restoration in 2 Corinthians 2:6–10, urging the church to forgive and comfort the repentant man, reaffirming love.

In Acts 5, the judgment of Ananias and Sapphira demonstrates the seriousness of lying to the Holy Spirit. Peter, operating under divine authority, declared God's judgment, leading to holy fear among the believers.

This authority is not merely ecclesiastical but divine, meant to preserve holiness in the community. It is confirmed by supernatural backing, as seen in 1 Samuel 12:17–19, where Samuel called down thunder and rain to validate God’s displeasure at Israel’s rejection of divine rule.

Therefore, delegated authority serves as God's instrument to maintain order, correct wrongdoing, and promote repentance, always under the anointing and direction of the Holy Spirit.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and righteous church leadership for good governance in our nation .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power  heal nations.
