SETTING SPIRITUAL GOALS FOR A CHILD’S DEVELOPMENT IN CHRIST

Spiritual formation in children begins with intentional guidance. As 2 Timothy 1:5 (AMP) says, “I remember your sincere and unqualified faith...which first lived in the heart of your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am confident that it is in you as well.” This verse highlights how sincere faith can be passed down through generations by godly influence and example. Likewsie infidelity through an ongodlly influence. 

  To help a child grow in Christ, spiritual goals should be set across five key areas: worship, discipleship, fellowship, evangelism, and ministry.

 In WORSHIP, encourage children to develop a personal relationship with God through daily prayer and praise. A simple goal may be to start each day thanking God and singing a worship song.

In DISCIPLESHIP, help them read and understand Scripture. Set goals such as memorizing a verse each week or completing a child-friendly devotional with a parent.

In FELLOWSHIP, teach the value of Christian community. Goals might include attending Sunday school, participating in youth group, or writing encouraging notes to friends.

 In EVANGELISM, children can be taught to share God’s love. A goal could be inviting a friend to church or learning to share their testimony in a simple way.

Finally, in MINISTRY, guide them to serve others. This could be helping with chores at home with a joyful heart or participating in a church outreach event.

  These goals plant seeds of lifelong faith, helping children grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ.

  In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and zeal for divine service . 

PRAYER; Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to preach the gospel with signs and wonders .
